The document discusses the history and evolution of feminism from the 18th century to present day. It outlines early feminist thinkers like Mary Wollstonecraft who advocated for women's education and equality. It then discusses the suffragette movement and key issues in early feminism like access to birth control. The document also examines media portrayals of feminism over time and how public perception has changed. Finally, it explores modern feminism, noting both progress made and ongoing issues, while highlighting the work of activists like Emma Watson, Kesha, and Beyoncé.

Brands Like Beyonce - social media, advertising, celebrity and feminismlouisedoherty
Feminism-as-marketing is a trend that has gathered pace over the last few years. What is it, what what's behind it?
A talk by @louisedoherty and @sarahjanecass on how brands are jumping on the feminism bandwagon, and the role that social media and celebrity endorsement of feminism has played. Is this trend a good or a bad thing for equality?
This talk was given on 05.09.2014 at Bestival's Bestiversity tent as part of Feminism Friday.
Presentation prepared for a series of lectures on Feminism for PS 240 Introduction to Political Theory at the University of Kentucky, Spring 2007. Dr. Christopher S. Rice, Instructor.
Feminism emerged as a movement and body of ideas that aimed to enhance women’s status and power. Simply put, feminism affirms women’s equality with men, and rejects patriarchy.
Women in Civil Resistance - Dr. Mary King & Dr. Anne-Marie Codur (FSI2013)NonviolentConflict
Most women’s activism has historically been nonviolent direct action, which has helped develop the technique of civil resistance. Movements for abolition of slavery and women’s suffrage made common cause in the nineteenth century. Women’s activism has been the galvanizing force in several civil-resistance movements, for example, the Montgomery bus boycott (1955–1956) that launched the U.S. civil rights movement was sparked by JoAnne Robinson and the city’s black women’s political council.
Women can sometimes exploit traditional political space as wives, mothers and nurturers, as did German gentile women married to Jewish men, who in 1943 saved their husbands through street protests in Berlin. Las Madres de la Plaza de Mayo dared to march weekly in Argentina’s capital, 1977–1983, seeking acknowledgment that their children had been “disappeared” by the military generals. Their audacious demonstrations created the dynamic that would lead to the fall of the regime. Women have sometimes been able to accomplish what their male peers could not, as with the Palestinian women who led popular committees in the 1987 intifada. Israeli women’s activism in the Israeli “Four Mothers Movement” exerted such pressure on the Israeli government that the IDF withdrew from Lebanon in 2000.
The significance of women’s leadership, decision-making, strategy, organization, communications, networking, and tactics needs to be more systemically surveyed and acknowledged, as their role is critical in the success of any movement of civil resistance.
Havas Group Prosumer Report - The Future is FeMaleHavas Media
Gender is a hot-button issue in 2017, with gender-related controversies multiplying around the world. But will there come a time when gender is regarded as no more important than a person’s height, handedness, or hair color? Based on the findings of Havas Group’s recent survey of more than 12,000 people in 32 countries and the accompanying “The Future Is FeMale” report, a nongendered future may be in the cards.
The 32-nation survey, commissioned by the Havas Group and fielded by Market Probe International, sought to measure how far gender equality has come in an era when women in most parts of the world are able to do things once considered the province of men, including work outside the home, earn high school and college degrees, vote, own property, and hold elected office.

What is feminism? Ask ten people this question and you might get ten different answers. It’s not that I claim to have the one right answer but rather that I do have one I have settled on and I am pleased to share it with Ragged members.
My generation of women has seen enormous changes in our lives. I hardly recognise myself as the young woman who always sat quietly in one corner or another. To me, that is proof of feminism as an agent of personal growth and empowerment; one more reason to share what I know about it.
Feminism to me is a political sisterhood because it aims to challenge the dominant social force generally known as patriarchy. Some people get very precise and define it as capitalist patriarchy or imperialist capitalist patriarchy, even imperialist patriarchal capitalism. I suppose one’s view is always determined by where one stands.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
