THE SIMPLE PRESENTTENSE
 The simple present tense is used to express an idea that is
permanently happening. We use is, verbs with s for singular and
without s for many subjects.
Examples:
 A website is just another term for a webpage. ( is )
 Websites need to have reliable and up-to-date content. (need )
 The footer is always placed at the bottom part of a website.

9. UNDERSTAND PART : A ROLE - PLAY
Situation: Jenna needs to know the local weather forecast for the next day.
She called her friend Jan how to look for it using a website.
Jenna: Hi Jan, how are you today?
Jan: I’m just relaxing now, done with all my homeworks.
Jenna: Wow, that’s nice.
Jan: Uh, how about you?
Jenna: I need your help for my Science homework, I need to know the
weather forecast for tomorrow.
Jan: That’ s easy, let’s use PAG-ASA’S website.

10. Jenna: But, I don’t know how to look for it using a website,
there’s a lot of menu in its website.
Jan: No problem, I can help you with that.
Jenna:Yes, please.
Jan: First, let’s go to PAGASA (dost.gov.ph) You can see a lot of
Menu here.We call them the website’s features.
Jenna: Yes, there are a lot, what’s this one at the top?
Jan: It’s the header logo were we can see the navigation menu.

11. Jenna: Oh, lots of information I can see here.
Jan: Yes, because this is the Homepage, all menus are found here, especially the
Welcome message.
Jenna: Where do I begin?
Jan: Click on the Navigation menu – Weather tab; a dropdown list will show you the
LocalWeather Forecast.
Jenna: Oh, I see.That’s easy.
Jan:Yes, as long as you know which parts to look for.Try to click some more for you
to discover more of it’s parts.
Jenna: Thank you so much Jan.
Jan: My pleasure. Bye.
