TASK SHEET (1): LEARNING ABOUT ALL TEAMS EXPERIENCE AS FACILITATORS
1. Interview your partner to learn about his or her experience as a facilitator in
bringing about change in the market system in which your partner works. You are
interested to learn about what worked and what didn’t workin(i) buildingthe
market actor’s capacity (ii) in creating a valid experience for the market actor to
adopt new ideas and(iii) the MAP team’s capacity to influence the market actor.
(30 mins. for two interviews)
2. Ask your partner to:
a. Identify 2 or 3 examples of what worked in bringing about change
b. Identify 2 or 3 examples of what didn’t work in bringing about change
c. For those things that worked how could they make it work better
d. For those things that didn’t work how could they get them to work.
3. Summarise what you learned about your partner’s facilitation experience by
filling in blank cards and then posting them in the front of the room (15 minutes):
