The new algorithm aims to suppress
overly promotional posts. You need
to provide content that is fun,
emotional, educational or helpful.
2. Don’t chase the algorithm
You can’t win. Provide content people
want in their feed. Understand your
audience and what resonates with
them.
3. Storytelling
Tell stories around trending topics but
be relevant.
Provide context for your stories, be
clear how they relate to your brand.
4. Engage with your audience
Respond to comments and create a
conversation. Build real relationships.
5. Focus on pain points
How do you help them with their pain
points? Be relevant and add value.
6. Empower your employees
Scale your content and social conversations
through your employees.
7. Be present when you are social
Build mutual relationships and engage on your
followers pages not just your own page.
8. Use Facebook Ads
You can build highly targeted ads.
You do have to pay to play, there is no free
promotional opportunity.
9. Video and images
Use high quality images and video to
raise visibility.
10. Don’t build on rented land
Use Facebook tools for lead generation but aim
to convert on your site. Get your Facebook fans
to sign up to your own email list. Share on
Facebook but move any conversion
conversations to your owned web properties.

  • 16. 10. Don’t build on rented land Use Facebook tools for lead generation but aim to convert on your site. Get your Facebook fans to sign up to your own email list. Share on Facebook but move any conversion conversations to your owned web properties.
