The paper discusses the implementation of Least Squares (LS) and Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) channel estimation techniques in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems to enhance data transmission efficiency amidst increasing demand for higher data rates. Through MATLAB simulations, it compares the performance of channel estimation using BPSK and QPSK modulations, finding that while the LS algorithm has lower complexity, the MMSE provides superior results in terms of signal-to-noise ratio. The study concludes that effective channel estimation is crucial for OFDM system design, addressing issues related to signal reflection, refraction, and diffraction.
