This paper optimizes the performance of a passive solar distillation system by applying the Taguchi method to enhance four parameters: glass cover angle, water temperature, glass cover temperature, and average spacing between water and the glass cover. The results reveal that maximizing water temperature at 60°C, using a glass cover temperature of 28°C, and an average spacing of 1.26 cm significantly improves the distillation output. The study concludes that careful parameter optimization can substantially enhance the efficiency of solar still systems.
