The MPBX multipoint borehole extensometer is designed to monitor changes in distance between downhole anchors set at different depths in a borehole and a surface measurement head. It uses rods connected to anchors that extend up to the head, where measurements are taken. It can have between 1-7 anchors and accommodate measurement ranges from 100-200 mm. Measurements are taken manually or remotely with displacement transducers. The MPBX is used to monitor tunneling, excavations, dams, foundations, and rock/soil displacement.
Tunnel is an artificially constructed underground passage to by- pass obstacles safely without disturbing the over burden. This module explains about tunnels, their parts, types and importance.

Due to its full metal design, the SITRANS FVA250 variable area meter with a standard length of 250 mm (9.84 inch) can be used to measure many different types of liquids and gases passing through closed piping. The robust design means that it can also be used in harsh conditions. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. Meet the essential requirements of the EMC Directive 2014/30/UE
The MPBX, also known as multi-point rod extensometer, is designed
to monitor changes in the distance between downhole anchors, each
set at a specified depth in the borehole, and a measurement head at
the surface. Rods extend upward from the anchors to the head, where
measurements are made with a depth micrometer or displacement
transducers.
MPBX heads are sized to accommodate measurement ranges up to
100 mm (3.9”) or 200 mm (7.9”), the number of anchors (points) to
be monitored, and the type of rod to be used. Groutable anchors are
included with the heads while packer anchors are available as option.
MPBX rods are available in fiberglass or stainless steel. Both types
include a nylon sleeve that breaks friction between the rods and the
surrounding soil or grout.
MPBX measurements can be taken manually with a depth micrometer
or remotely with vibrating wire or 4-20mA displacement transducers
and a readout or datalogger.

PACKER ANCHORS
Normally packer anchors are used in heavily fractured rock to prevent loss of grout and in
over head installations like in tunnels.
Packer anchors can be utilized also in very soft soil: the borehole is filled, before the ex-
tensometer is installed, with a very soft grout, then the extensometer is installed and the
borehole casing is retracted. After retraction of the borehole casing, inflate the groutable
anchors so to expand them against the borehole wall.
