Empirical Results From The Modeling Of Claim Inflation
4.2 ARIMA MODEL
This chapter displays the empirical results from the modeling of claim inflation using ARIMA
model.
Data Description

Observations=30
Mean=2.748
Median=2.415
Minimum=1.25
Maximum=7.15

4.2.1 Descriptive Statistics for the claim inflation series
The data is not stationary since it does not exhibit a certain state of statistical equilibrium showing
that the variance changes with time. Performing a log transformation still produces a non stationary
process in which case we should difference the series before continuing.
ACF and PACF
4.2.2 Unit Root Test for CPI Series
Test for unity we use the ADF test for unit test hypothesis;
Ho: the CPI has unit root (non stationary) Vs H1: CPI data has no unit root (stationary). Augmented
Dickey fuller test
Data: log.claiminf
Dickey fuller = 9.6336 lag order=12 p value=0.01
Alternative hypothesis stationary warning message:
4.2.3 Model Identification, Estimation and Interpretation
ARIMA models are univariate models that consist of an autoregressive polynomial, an order of
integration (d), and a moving average polynomial. Since Claim inflation became stationary after
first order difference (ADF test) the model that we are looking at is ARIMA (p, 1, q). We have to
identify the model, estimate suitable parameters, perform diagnostics for residuals and finally
forecast the inflation series.

The War Of 1812 And The United States Army Essay
The Army began its linage on June 14, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress created the
Continental Army in order to combine the 13 American colonies and fight the British forces ().
From then on out the United States Army has seen multiple wars from the War of 1812 to present
wars today, and will continue to be one the many forces to protect the USA. Now over the years,
the United States Armyhas had to shift the way it conducts its soldiers to fight in the wars and how
to be proficient in battle; even with the new warfare tactics that our enemies are developing daily.
Like any other unified team, how does the United StatesArmy gain leverage against our enemies
who look to seize the free world? Well like many teams they have offensive operations, which are
to seek opportunities to gain leverage against their foes or even gain a win in the end and then
they have defensive operations. Defensive operations are the opposite of offensive operations
where instead of trying to take advantage of the enemy the Army s forces are trying to take a
stance and push the enemy back. Thus allowing a chance to defend the territory where the soldiers
stand and hopefully allow the soldiers to regain their forces. So like many other militaryforces we
have used these tactics for many of years to defend our great nation, but of course over the years
are tactics have had to change in order to adapt to different wars. So in this paper you will learn the
most current tactics that our Army

Essay about No One Would Listen
Review Essay No one would listen By Joseph Kiobbo, Newman University No one would Listen:
A True Financial Thriller. Harry Markopolos, ed. New Jersey: John Wiley and Sons, Inc. 2010.
Pp. 345. $17.35 (hard cover) This book brought out the failures of the Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) in one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in America s history, as orchestrated by
Bernie Madoff. Harry Markopolos caught up with Madoff s Ponzi scheme earlier on in his career
and saw all the red flags. There was no explanation of the continuous one percent yield in over
forty five stocks that Madoff dealt with. Madoff took advantage of the laxity by the SEC officials
in failing to follow up complains with an investigation, and the trust... Show more content on

The employees and traders shrugged it off. As it would later turn out, Madoff s illegal
investment business was indeed subsidizing his legal trading operation. Among the charges to
which Madoff pleaded guilty in March were three counts of money laundering, which involved
transferring millions of dollars from Madoff s fraudulent business through his London operation
to his legitimate New York business. At least $250 million was transferred in this manner,
according to the charges. In 2006 when the SEC launched an investigation into Madoff s
dealings it was from persuasion from Markopolos that Madoff was running a Ponzi scheme and
he was also a key source for the Mar/Hedge article. The SEC also examined whether Fairfield
Greenwich, a giant feeder fund, was properly disclosing the extent of its reliance on Madoff.
According to research by Harry Markopolos, it grew from as much as $7 billion in 2000 to as
much as $50 billion by the end of 2005. What had started decades before as a small time recruiting
effort by Madoff agents at country clubs had gone global. Massive international institutions such as
Grupo Santander, Fortis Bank, and Union Bancaire PrivГ©e were all funneling billions sometimes
through intermediaries to Madoff, lured by the call of steady 10% to 12% returns. Even one of the
world s biggest sovereign funds, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, ended up sinking tens of

• What Are The Differences In Athletic Administration...
Cayman Belyea
Midterm
1.What are the differences in athletic administration between interscholastic and recreational sport
programs? What is the importance of having a mission statement in any sport program?
There are many differences between interscholastic and recreational sports programs. The first big
difference is the affect that school work and grades affect your participation. In a recreational
sports program, they are not looking at your grades to see if you are doing well enough to continue
to play. Whereas with interscholastic sports you must maintain a certain GPA, you are required to
attended class, along with other stipulations that they may have from a program. An athletic director
is responsible for making sure that students that are participating in the interscholastic events are
maintaining the requirements that they must meet. With the recreational sports program the
athletic director most likely hires someone to organize the events and that s about all the athletic
does with recreational sports. Another difference between interscholastic and recreational is that
some people who are participating in interscholastic sports are getting scholarships towards their
education. Making sure that the students are following those specific guidelines to keep their
scholarship is something that and athletic director must keep track of. With recreational sports an
athletic director doesn t have to worry at all about it. Overall an athletic director doesn t have

Mexican Immigration Research Paper
THE MODERN ERA
In 2014, 35 million Americans identified as Hispanic, of whom 64 percent said they had Mexican
heritage almost 11 percent of the total population. As birthrates for Hispanics exceed those of
Anglos, demographers estimate that by 2042 non Hispanic whites will be a numerical minority in
the United States. At the beginning of this century, there were twenty one states where Hispanics
were the largest ethnic minority.
As a consequence, the nature of assimilation historically a conflicting process for Southwestern
Anglos and Mexican Americans is likely to become less a matter of conformity to Anglo socials
norms and more a process of cultural pluralism.
The concept of cultural pluralism suggests that immigrants should assimilate to American culture
by enriching American traditions with those that other cultures bring with them, expanding the
American cultural landscape of art, cuisine, education, history, law, music, language, medicine and
other aspects of life.
Most recently, studies by the Pew Charitable Trust demonstrate that the number of illegal
immigrants from Mexico entering the United States has actually been declining, resulting in a net
negative number of Mexican immigrants entering the United States. Reasons for this trend include
the Great Recession of 2008, and an improving economy in Mexican, making it more attractive for
Mexicans to stay in Mexico. In addition, stepped up U.S. border enforcement has reduced the
likelihood of success for

Difference Between Conflict And Conflict
Throughout this course I have learned a lot of different ways to approach conflicts in life. As we
all know encountering conflicts is part of our human nature. No matter what you will somehow
come across a conflict. Sometime being involved in conflicts is out of our hands. The best we can
do it deal with the conflictwith a good manner. Just like how in our daily lives we experience
happiness, laughter, and enjoy we also run into conflicts. So basically conflicts are part of our
daily lives. Some of the conflicts people face daily are usually between, siblings, coworkers,
partners, and friends. These conflicts could be solved right away or it could take a long time.
Depending on how severe the situation might be. Once I started reading the book, Interpersonal
conflicts I didn t expect to learn so much to be honest. But I m honored to say that I differently I
did. To be honest this book was very informative, and well explanatory. In order for you to get a
good understanding of this book you had to adopt couple things, like good listening skills,
collaboration, activeness, good family relationships and so forth. Each chapter of the book
covered different ways to deal with conflicts in our daily bases. Mostly conflicts take place at
work force the reason being is because you interact with many people. Sometime people have
different views and they end up disagreeing with each other and that s how conflicts start. But in
this class I learned how to deal with conflicts no

Why Don t We Complain By William F. Buckley Jr
Who Can Complain As human beings we strive for more. The ultimate goal is to live a luxurious
life and accomplish the goals we set out for ourselves. Sometimes a person has to be grateful for
what they have, and just allow faith to run its course. There is a saying in my country, if you
have everything you want in life, and everything goes your way, you will die . What I mean by
this is, once a person as accomplished all their life goals, there is nothing left in life to fight for.
Above all the material wealth one could wish for, the most important thing is respect. In Why
Don t We Complain by William F. Buckley JR, Buckley really found the lack of respect and the
lack of consideration some people have, for him, intolerable. Compared to The Fourth of July by
Audre Lorde, her parents did not contradict any of life s circumstances, because they couldn t
complain. Complaining would have made the matter worse. Looking at these two essays I realize
that complaining about something you feel is unfair is not good, but there are certain complaints
which are more serious than others.
Surprisingly, Why Don t We Complain and The Fourth of July both had problems with the train
system. A person would expect Audre s family to complain more about the trains; instead it was
William who mentions how uncomfortable he felt in that situation. In the Audre essay she mentions
how they could not dine in the diner car, meanwhile William was complaining about how hot the
train was. He was

George Catlett Marshall Character Analysis
George Catlett Marshall was an American Soldier and Statesman. According to May (2002) He
is widely accepted as this nation s most esteemed 20th century military figure and as a paragon
of professionalism and officership (p. 1002). George Marshall s character is what defined him.
He was as an individual who could be trusted by his colleagues, his subordinates and superiors
alike. Of all the qualities of leadership, the one most valued by Marshall and perhaps most
reflective of his character was that of candor. In the spring of 1939, President Franklin D
Roosevelt began the search for a replacement for Army chief of staff, General Malin Craig, who
was due to retire on 1 September 1939 (Reist, 2013, p. 1439). In April, President Roosevelt decided

after graduation, Leavenworth hired him on as an instructor. Shortly after Marshall went back
to the Philippines in 1913 to lead 5,000 troops. It was during this time that he demonstrated his
brilliant problem solving skills and received the highest respect from his troops (Grassis, 1987,
p. 1945). In 1916 Marshall returned back to the United Stated to help, as it was during this time
that Countries within Europe were fighting with one another in a conflict, which would later be
known as World War I. After World War I, making good on his promise, Marshall shared his
insights on his success with cadets at the Virginia Military Institute. He shared his opinions on
what successful leadership was all about. Marshall basically believed that every officer should
give his best to his troops and Country and he would get a great deal more in return. This was
where he earned the early reputation for being straightforward and honest. These traits would later
in his career give him enormous credibility with Roosevelt, the Congress and the American people

The Walt Disney Company is located in Burbank, California founded in October of 1923 (Disney,

business in more than 40 countries and prides its self on the following five major avenues, as the
company likes to put it, of business media networks, parks and resorts, studio entertainment,
consumer products, and interactive media (Disney, 2016).
Impressively the Walt Disney Company s media networks span two divisions, the Disney channel
combined with the ABC Television Group and ESPN Incorporated (Disney, 2016). As well as the
Walt Disney Company s digital broadcasts they also dip into cable, radio, and publishing. The
Walt Disney Company has over eleven different types of parks and resorts with locations all over

studio entertainment which they have been perfecting for over ninety years with such cartoons
figures as Mickey Mouse and movies like Snow White (Disney, 2016).

Compare And Contrast The Modified Allen Test
Abstract Aim: To compare Allen s Test with modified Allen s Test and its clinical importance
Materials and Methods: Thirty students from Saveetha Dental College, Chennai were selected for
this experiment, people were chosen at random. The Allen s test is a worldwide standardized test
used to determine whether the patency of the radial or ulnar arteryis normal. It is performed prior
to radial cannulation or catheterization, as a placement of such a catheter may result in
thrombosis. Allen s test is considered to be normal. The patient is asked to clench both fists
tightly for 1 minute at the same time. Pressure is applied to both radial arteries simultaneously so
as to occlude them. The patient then opens the fingers of both hands rapidly, and the examiner
compares the color of both. The initial pallor should be replaced quickly by rubor. The test may
be repeated, this time occluding the ulnar arteries. In the modified Allen test, one hand is
examined at a time, the hand is elevated and the patient is asked to clench their fist for about 30
seconds. Pressure is applied over the ulnar and the radial arteries so as to occlude both of them.

Analysis Of Two In The Campagna
A Psychoanalytic View of Two in the Campagna
Freud suggests that the unconscious is a storehouse for our hidden desires, ambitions, fears,
passion, and irrational thoughts. Since the unconscious is also a part of the psyche, the
unconscious with hidden desires continues to affect us in the form of inferiority feelings, guilt,
nightmares and dreams. The unconscious releases its suppressed wishes and desires through
dreams. Freud believes that for authors, they create literary works to express their unconscious
minds and to gratify their secret desires. Therefore, he declares that the literary work is the author
s dream or fantasy. That is to say that the literary text can be analyzed like a dream to uncover the
hidden desires. Meanwhile, according to psychoanalytic critics, many images in literary work have
their own symbolic significance. Therefore, when analyzing literary works, it is necessary to shift
the focus of surface meanings to the symbolic meanings to find out the true meaning of the literary
work.

The Roles of Women in Medieval Scandinavia Essay
When people think about Medieval Scandinavia they usually think about a cold northern region
inhabited by a warrior people who spend all of their time sailing around in Viking warships and
plundering from one another or going to war with their neighbors. While our archaeological
evidence from this period may be rather scarce, many cite the Scandinavian pagan religions as a
evidence of this warrior society due to the fact that men were encouraged to fight in order to be
chosen by the gods to live in Valhalla, the pagan equivalent, loosely equivalent, of heaven.
However, this only accounts for the men of the society, and no society can continue if it consists
only of men. Were the women as concerned with war as their male comrades? Recent... Show more

Norse pagan lore is rife with female characters that challenge their male counterparts and take
tasks upon themselves rather than simply leaving them to men, in some cases of pagan myth, the
female characters even participate in battles. Scandinavian society itself also contributed to
allotment of power into female hands. Due to societal expectations, in order to advance in
society the Scandinavian man was required to find a wife and produce offspring; however, due to
the overall scarcity of women only a small number of men could achieve this and the rest were
forced to look elsewhere for brides, these men were the Vikings who raided other lands and
countries not merely to find wealth but also to find themselves wives. All of this evidence
culminates in the fact that women in Scandinavia held a very different position than was previously
believed and one such woman who is an exceptional example of the utilization of this power is
Margaret I, Queen of Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. For these reasons we are lead to believe
that there existed an expected realm of responsibility for both men and women throughout medieval
Scandinavian society; however it also seems to have been expected that some women would go
beyond these social limitations in order to take power and occasionally even participate in battle,

Musee De Louvre Research Paper
The Musee de Louvre was the place I was most excited about when coming to France, and I have
to say that I was not disappointed with it in the slightest. The one thing that I do regret coming
into this was not knowing the background and history of the Louvre and a majority of its works.
After doing some research, I came across the history and mission of The Musee de Louvreand I was
fascinated with what I read: from knowing that The Louvre was originally created as a fortress to
finding out how hard the architects and designers worked so hard to make it an accessible place
for all. The Louvre was originally created in the early 12th century while Francewas under the 43
year reign of Phillipe Auguste. During this time, a barricade was built to protect Parisfrom the
Anglo Norman threat. France reinforced its defense with a fortress, which is today known as
The Musee de Louvre. I found it neat that The Louvre was created so long ago and for such a
different purpose. Most major places, such as the Palace of Versailles, were created to be a
palace for the people to live in, but the Louvre was created for a much greater purpose: to protect
the city. I believe that its original purpose has a huge affect on why it is so well known and
means so much to the country of France today. In the first few years of the life of The Louvre, a...

Corruption Of The Saudi Arabia
Corruption in Saudi Arabia According to The Economic Times reports corruption in a civilized
society is a disease like cancer, which if not detected on time, is surely to spread its malignancy
among the polity of the country, leading to disastrous consequences (Economic Times). Corruption
or what it should be called how to destroy a community is the easier and faster way to kill a nation.
Unfortunately, corruption is widespread in Saudi Arabia, and an abundance of corrupt people take
advantage of their positions to achieve personal goals. Perhaps the most important of their reasons
are earning money and having more power because of weak government regulators. This however,
has a negative result on various aspects of social life, economic, and political in Saudi Arabia.
There are several reasons behind the emergence of the phenomenon of corruption and outbreaks in
communities. There is nearly unanimity on the fact that this phenomenon is negative behavior.
some of the reasons for people to turn towards to corruption is to make more money, engaging in
corruption, and dreaming of more strength. However, the main reason that allows people to engage
in corruption and enjoy it is the weakness of government regulation. Corruption leads to the
demoralizing aspects of frustration and apathy. Also it will raise the negative spread between the
members of the community. Corruption also results in a lack of professionalism the loss of the
value of work and a declining

Persuasive Essay On Seat Belt Safety
On April 15th, 2017, a student rolled his car two and half times, the car was totaled. The student
walked away without a scratch on him due to the fact that he was wearing a seatbelt. That
student was me. The act of putting your seat belt into the buckle of your seat takes a mere two
seconds. Two seconds is obviously a small price to pay if the cost could potentially be your
entire life. When drivers and passengers are involved in car accidents, they are more likely to
survive if they are wearing a seatbelt. Seat belts save lives as well as they often prevent major
injuries. When involved in a serious car accident, seat belts have proven to be effective in saving
lives and preventing injury. When involved in a car accident, passengers in the car are subject to
concussion, ejection, paralyzation, or even death. Seat belts strap a passenger into their seat in the
car, this prevents ejection from the vehicle. 75% of people who are ejected from their vehicles die
from impact or related injuries (CDC). This incredibly high statistic proves the effectiveness of
seatbelts holding you into the car and preventing death by ejection. In addition to this, the US
Department of Transportation states that 88.5% of people used seat belts in 2016 (US
Department of Transportation). This number is up 7% from 81.2% in 2006, meaning drivers and
passengers alike are realizing the necessity of wearing a seatbelt. The increased use of seat belts is
likely due to scare tactics used by law

Children with Learning Disabilities Essay
Children with Learning Disabilities Do you know anyone who suffers from a learning
disability? There are several disabilities out there, so chances are you must know someone who
battles with the day to day hassles. But, are learning disabilities really a hassle? More often than
not, this can be considered a misconception. Learning disabilities (LD) affect the way a person of
at least average intelligence receives, stores, and processes information (NCLD 2001). This
neurological disorder prevents children especially from being able to perform well academically.
Therefore more time and special programs are fostered to them. Once one is educated about what
the disability means, the causes of LD, what programs are available to... Show more content on

Understanding a foreign language is also not one of their strong points. A child with a learning
disability does not perform well on tests, especially when they are timed, often refuses to do
written work, and has trouble decoding words. This usually means that they have trouble
hearing and understanding a person s directions since they cannot decode the message properly.
(Silverman) Of the three previously mentioned diseases, Dyslexia impairs a person s ability to
read, write, and spell (NINDS 2003). Although they are of normal intelligence, their reading level
is below average. They will usually have trouble with phonological processing (the manipulation
of sounds) and/or rapid visual verbal responding. (NINDS 2003). Children with dyslexia complain
they cannot read their textbooks, do not have enough time to finish tests, cannot take notes, and
are unable to read their own handwriting (GVSU 2000). Dyslexia does not affect every person
the same way, and signs of the disorder may not be prevalent until later, when grammar and more
in depth writing skills are introduced. Dyslexia can also create a difficulty in processing
vocabulary and thoughts correctly when speaking, and understanding what one says when they are
spoken to. Dysgraphia is another neurological disorder that focuses on writing. When a child with
this disorder is first introduced to writing, they will make unnecessary spaces between their letters,

A Reflection Without Respect
Society simply cannot function without respect. Respect is defined as the admiration or
appreciation of someone. If no one had respect for one another, there would be chaos. There
would be no appreciation of other people. This would cause an outrage among the society because
people would have no manners and think they can get away with saying or doing whatever they
want to someone else. Then, when someone gets their feelings hurt, they would fight back, and this
cycle would continue. This could cause national debacles because no one would feel like an
important part of society. For example, if teachers were not respected by students and were yelled
at everyday, would they want to continue working under these conditions? This can also go all the
way up into the government. The president not respecting his country would cause citizens to feel
hatred against the leader and could cause outbursts. Not having respectcould be as simple as
shoving into someone and not saying sorry, or all the way up to violent protests. This means that a
lack of respect could cause a boatload of problems in the world.
A society without respect would be full of ignorance and selfishness. People would start to
believe that showing respect for another person is a sign of weakness, when in reality it shows
strong values. A self actualized person would realize that being respectful is a necessary trait to
have. A big part of respect that seems to get lost is self respect. This is almost the most

Comparing Plato, Descartes, And The Matrix
Plato, Descartes, and the Matrix
Latalvin Bullock
Liberty University
Is what I am seeing real or is it a figment of my imagination? Many people have found themselves
asking this question at some point in their life. This has been a subject that has been addressed by
many philosophers. In this paper the approach to this topic is centered on Plato s The Allegory of
the Cave and Descartes s Meditation I of The Things Which We May Doubt as compared to the
movie The Matrix. One of the most obvious similarities of the three passages is that they all call in
to question what reality is. In The Matrix reality is conceived through a computer. The computer
simulates the peoples perception of reality. They are not truly aware of their own reality because...

But through their connection and manipulation of the computer they believe that what they are
living and seeing is real. When Neo agrees to take the red pill and follow Morpheus into the
world of the Matrix it disturbs him to see that people are living out a virtual reality that is not
true reality. This calls into question his own reality and was the life he was living real or
imagined. Plato s Allegory of the Cave also shows a distorted sense of reality. The prisoners
believe that what they see through the shadows is reality. Being tied by the fetters there is no
way for them to see any other reality around them. Based solely on what they see through the
shadows are real to them. The shadows are an artificial source of reality for the prisoners as the
computer is an artificial source for those living in the Matrix even though both the prisoners and
those hooked to the computer feel that it is entirely real. In Descartes s Meditation I of the

Mythological Norms By Audre Lorde
The concept of mythical norm was introduced by a feminist writer, Audre Lorde, who critically
analyzed the dominant power mechanism in society that operates through a deeply ingrained idea
of a normalized and naturalized male identity. This normative identity is both an image and ideal
that stands out as a symbol of societal norms and privileges that are institutionalized in the law.
More specifically, Lorde wrote, Somewhere, on the edge of consciousness, there is what I call a
mythical norm, which each of us within our hearts knows that is not me. ... [T]his norm is usually
defined as white, thin, male, young, heterosexual, Christian and financially secure. It is with this
mythical norm that the trappings of power reside within this society. (as cited in Perry, 2011, p. 57)
Even though Lorde positions this identity norm at the edge of consciousness, the norm seems to be
at the center of the dominant societal myths about privilege and its discourses of law. As the
particular male centric vision of power, the mythical norm functions as a regulating and governing
social site and system of privileges through which unearned advantages are naturally attributed to all
members of the identity norm without their own efforts and contributions (Perry, 2011, p. 57).
Consequently, this normative category of men receives some of the main social, political and
economic benefits by the virtue of their belonging to the aforementioned identity group.
Furthermore, the

The Recession Of The United States And United Kingdom
The Great Recession of 2007 2012, of which several countries are still recovering, including the
United States and United Kingdom, shows great similarity to the Japanese Recession of the
1990s. However, by taking a closer look and identifying the causes of both we become aware of
the differences that make them not so similar after all. The Great Recession had a domino effect
beginning in the United States with the fault of subprime mortgages creating a housing bubble.
Whereas Japan s fault lies with the increasing land prices due to investment, in which created a land

The risk was extremely high due to the possibility that the loan would never be paid back.
During the 2000s a housing price bubble was beginning to form within the United States. This
was due to those who before could not own a house, suddenly being able to due to subprime
mortgages. Prices rose 90% from 2000 to 2006 (Ueda, 2012) showing a rapid increase in housing
prices and therefor increasing the amount further of those who would never be able to pay their
mortgage back. This caused great financial pressure within the United States economy when the
federal reserve raised interest rates within the United States in February 2007.This meant that
debts were not being paid by subprime mortgage holders resulting in the collapse of the subprime
mortgage market in mid 2007. A prime example of this is the largest sub prime lender firm within
the United States, New Century Financial. New Century Financial filled for bankruptcy on the 2nd
of April 2007. The collapse came with a cut of roughly 3,200 jobs. (Treanor, 2007) The collapse of
the subprime market meant that the housing boom within United States and United Kingdom came
to an end and burst the housing bubble within the United States. (Arestis, Sobreira, and Oreiro,

How Physical Contact With Warmth Essay
Williams Bargh (2008) investigated a study examining how physical contact with warmth should

warmth should influence behaviors and judgements towards other people based on Asch s study

their preference of fake mother. There were two studies that Williams Bargh completed, where in
their first study, they used involved 41 undergraduate college students, and using two temperature
priming conditions were utilized using hot and iced coffee. There was a confederate in an elevator
holding a coffee cup, clipboard, and textbooks in an elevator waiting for the participant. Once the
participant entered the elevator the confederate asked the participant to hold either a hot or iced
coffee while they wrote down information. Depending on the temperature of the coffee was the
only between subjects manipulation within the first study. Once the participant made it to the

Abortion Pro Life Research Paper
Rose Willis 3 13 15 English Abortion: A Call of Help for Life Abortion was outlawed in the
eighteenth century, and legalized in the nineteenth century. Ever since the Supreme Court
legalized abortion, more than hundreds of abortions are performed daily. Abortion is a constant
debate among pro life and pro choice. Not everybody believes or agrees with the same point of
view. People argue pro life or pro choice, if it is murder or not, however, an abortion ends the
pregnancy before giving birth thus ending the life of a living unborn child. Pro life supporters

They believe that since it is the woman s body, it is her choice. In the pro choice argument, the
group says it is safer for teens to have an abortion than to give birth because teens are not yet
completely developed to have a baby. Teenage girls are not ready to physically give birth to their
child. Their bodies need to mature before being able to give birth to a baby safely (Durrett, 18).
Raising a baby is too hard for teens because they often are not yet prepared. Teenage girls, still
have an education to finish and a future to plan. They are not financially prepared to have a
baby and will rely too much on parents or guardians. When an abortion has failed or even
thought about, there will be hurt. Pro choice supporters believe unhealthy relationships will
occur between mother and child because of being unwanted. The baby will feel unloved and
worthless and that will be key for the relationship going down the gutter. There will be too much
conflict for both of them to handle and this will cause a terrible life for both the child and
mother. They believe there should be no debate over what someone else should do with their
own body. Another difference is whether the fetus is a baby. Pro choice say the fetus is not a
person yet, therefore it is not murder. A baby is a person when it takes its first breath outside of
the womb. When a baby is no longer attached to its mom and living and breathing on its own is
when life begins for the baby. Meaning they do not believe obviously that the fetus is a baby.

2.1 Security Background
2.1.1 Secured Communications
Security and privacy are not new concepts. At 400 BC the Greeks used a transposition cipher.
Individual letters were written on a long thin sheet of paper and then wrapped around a cylinder.
The diameter of the cylinder was the key to find out the original letter. In this context, I find it
necessary to give some definitions of related vocabulary in this field.
Plain text or PT is the original message that we need to send. Usually we do not want others to be
able to know our original message.
Cipher text or CT is the encrypted plain text which is not readable for others.

Julie makes inquiries and discovers that Bob Marley is a close friend of the Indahouse
chairperson Al Gee. She also learns that the company s constitution contains a rule that provides
the chairperson of the company may, as they see fit, order any member to transfer their shares to
any person at a fair market price . Jimmy, another shareholder, discovers that as the company
requires more funds the directors plan to issue a parcel of shares to a single investor without the
members being able to participate. Julie does not wish to sell her shares. Is she bound to
observe the order she has received? Are the directors correct in issuing the shares, as they plan?
QUESTION FOUR Spears Ltd has a constitution that does not repeal any of the replaceable rules
of the CA but does provide for two additional matters: (i) an objects clause provides that the
company s activities are restricted to the recording and publishing of music . (ii) another clause
provides: Jackson White is to be the company s Senior Music Producer at a salary of $200,000 pa
. The directors of Spears Ltd have decided to ignore the constitution and to carry out the following

Proprietorship, Biability Company, Limited Liability...
There are several categories under which business entities can be formed. Sole Proprietorship,
Partnership (General or Limited), Limited Liability Companies (LLC) and S or C Corporations are
the options entrepreneurs have to give legal form to their business. Each has distinctive
characteristics on their taxtreatment and legal procedures. The decision of what kind of entity form
affects the daily operations and investment opportunities for the business, hence the importance of
selecting the entity that can better serve the business model and the owners.
Sole Proprietorship is the most basic and simple form of business and it does not require to be
formally organized with the state. Under this kind of entity, the owner directly assumes the... Show

Limited Liability Companies are treated by default as a Partnership (flow through) for tax
purposes, however, because of the check the box regulation Section 7701, LLC owners can elect to
have their entity treated as a C Corporation for tax purposes and then opt for the S corporation tax
treatment which would allow them to be taxed as a flow through. Corporation are treated by
default as C corporations and are taxed based on corporations tax rates, the check the box
regulation allows the business owners to opt for the S corporation option and pay taxes as a flow
through corporation.
Based on the presented information about the different forms of organization, in my opinion a
Limited Liability Company is the best option for the presented case, considering the initial stages of
the business, the characteristics of the owners and the extent of the operations. The Limited
Liability Company will allow them flexibility on their arrangements under the flexible statute which
allows the members to alter those dissolution and transferability provisions by agreement . This
form of organization also limits the liability of the owners, since the company is considered a
separate legal entity, creditors won t have claims to their personal assets if the business default on
payment. Another important advantage of selecting this form of organization is that the owners
have taxation flexibility, the check the box regulations allow

Jacob, The, And Jacob
Let us commence a journey into the much travelled topic of Jacob wrestling with God. Jacob
portrays deceitful characteristics throughout Genesis; Jacob gets his name from his twin brother
Esau. When Jacob brother of Esau was born, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau s
heel; so he was named Jacob(Gen. 25.26). Part of the reason Jacob is who he is because of his
brother Esau. Esau and Jacob were more than just the typical brothers. Jacob hated Esau. It was
all a competition between them. Esau was born the hunter and Jacob did just enough to get by.
They are the sons of Isaac. Jacob had a past of struggling with God almost as if he was seeking to
fulfill his own destiny all on his own.
Jacob had always been trying to seek a life that didn t involve God. The wrestling with God plays
a big part in his overall character. This is true because, when Jacob wrestles with God he comes
to him. Jacob came to God because he realized that he couldn t choose his own destiny and get
there with out God. While he was wresting with God, If the wrestler is unable to overcome Jacob
spiritually, it is because Jacob is not willing to yield. Only when the man threatens to go without
offering assurances of God s help does Jacob show his willingness to negotiate in the critical
issues. (Walton 605). Jacob so desperately wants God, he is clinging to him. Although, he is very
stubborn before he submits himself to God he wants a blessing from him, Jacob s willingness to
submit

Module: Distribution Activity: Animations Title: Cardiac Conduction
1.What is the function of the Conduction System? All cells must contract in a specific sequence.
This sequence is determined by the pathway known as the conduction system.
2.Cardiac cells are connective and autorhythmic. What does this mean? Connective cells, action
potentials, (excitatory signals) can propagate from one cell to another via gap junctions.
Autorhythmic cells can excite themselves spontaneously without stimulation of the nervous system
and contract at a regular rhythm.
3.Cells from different parts of the heart s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The signal moves quickly from the SA node through the atria where it experiences a slight delay
when it reaches the AV node and it must pass into fibers with smaller diameters. The signal then
quickly resumes along its path through the AV bundle branches apex and base of the ventricles
contraction begins.
7.What happens at each of the following points of a normal ECG?
P Atrial excitation (atrial depolarization).
QRS Ventricular excitation (ventricular depolarization).
T End of ventricular excitation (ventricular repolarization).
8.Contrast a healthy heart ECG with an abnormal one in which ventricular excitation is
independent of atrial excitation (P waves). The sequence of depolarization and repolarization can
be seen in a normal electrocardiogram usually called the ECG. The electrocardiogram can also
show problems with the conduction system. Look at this trace showing complete heart block by
comparing the QRS waves to the P waves. You can see that ventricular excitation is independent of
atrial excitation. The pace of ventricular excitation is being sent by the ventricles slower natural
rhythm not by stipulation from the SA node atria.
9.Contrast the resting potential of typical myocardial cells with that of SA nodaL cells. A typical
contractile cell in the

Performing a log transformation still produces a non stationary process in which case we should difference the series before continuing. ACF and PACF 4.2.2 Unit Root Test for CPI Series Test for unity we use the ADF test for unit test hypothesis; Ho: the CPI has unit root (non stationary) Vs H1: CPI data has no unit root (stationary). • 3. The War Of 1812 And The United States Army Essay The Army began its linage on June 14, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress created the Continental Army in order to combine the 13 American colonies and fight the British forces (). From then on out the United States Army has seen multiple wars from the War of 1812 to present wars today, and will continue to be one the many forces to protect the USA. Now over the years, the United States Armyhas had to shift the way it conducts its soldiers to fight in the wars and how to be proficient in battle; even with the new warfare tactics that our enemies are developing daily. Like any other unified team, how does the United StatesArmy gain leverage against our enemies who look to seize the free world? Well like many teams they have offensive operations, which are to seek opportunities to gain leverage against their foes or even gain a win in the end and then they have defensive operations. Defensive operations are the opposite of offensive operations where instead of trying to take advantage of the enemy the Army s forces are trying to take a stance and push the enemy back. Thus allowing a chance to defend the territory where the soldiers stand and hopefully allow the soldiers to regain their forces. So like many other militaryforces we have used these tactics for many of years to defend our great nation, but of course over the years are tactics have had to change in order to adapt to different wars. So in this paper you will learn the most current tactics that our Army ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Harry Markopolos caught up with Madoff s Ponzi scheme earlier on in his career and saw all the red flags. At least $250 million was transferred in this manner, according to the charges. In 2006 when the SEC launched an investigation into Madoff s dealings it was from persuasion from Markopolos that Madoff was running a Ponzi scheme and he was also a key source for the Mar/Hedge article. The SEC also examined whether Fairfield Greenwich, a giant feeder fund, was properly disclosing the extent of its reliance on Madoff. According to research by Harry Markopolos, it grew from as much as $7 billion in 2000 to as much as $50 billion by the end of 2005. • 5. • What Are The Differences In Athletic Administration... Cayman Belyea Midterm 1.What are the differences in athletic administration between interscholastic and recreational sport programs? What is the importance of having a mission statement in any sport program? There are many differences between interscholastic and recreational sports programs. The first big difference is the affect that school work and grades affect your participation. In a recreational sports program, they are not looking at your grades to see if you are doing well enough to continue to play. Whereas with interscholastic sports you must maintain a certain GPA, you are required to attended class, along with other stipulations that they may have from a program. An athletic director is responsible for making sure that students that are participating in the interscholastic events are maintaining the requirements that they must meet. With the recreational sports program the athletic director most likely hires someone to organize the events and that s about all the athletic does with recreational sports. Another difference between interscholastic and recreational is that some people who are participating in interscholastic sports are getting scholarships towards their education. Making sure that the students are following those specific guidelines to keep their scholarship is something that and athletic director must keep track of. With recreational sports an athletic director doesn t have to worry at all about it. Overall an athletic director doesn t have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Mexican Immigration Research Paper THE MODERN ERA In 2014, 35 million Americans identified as Hispanic, of whom 64 percent said they had Mexican heritage almost 11 percent of the total population. As birthrates for Hispanics exceed those of Anglos, demographers estimate that by 2042 non Hispanic whites will be a numerical minority in the United States. At the beginning of this century, there were twenty one states where Hispanics were the largest ethnic minority. As a consequence, the nature of assimilation historically a conflicting process for Southwestern Anglos and Mexican Americans is likely to become less a matter of conformity to Anglo socials norms and more a process of cultural pluralism. The concept of cultural pluralism suggests that immigrants should assimilate to American culture by enriching American traditions with those that other cultures bring with them, expanding the American cultural landscape of art, cuisine, education, history, law, music, language, medicine and other aspects of life. Most recently, studies by the Pew Charitable Trust demonstrate that the number of illegal immigrants from Mexico entering the United States has actually been declining, resulting in a net negative number of Mexican immigrants entering the United States. Reasons for this trend include the Great Recession of 2008, and an improving economy in Mexican, making it more attractive for Mexicans to stay in Mexico. In addition, stepped up U.S. border enforcement has reduced the likelihood of success for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As we all know encountering conflicts is part of our human nature. No matter what you will somehow come across a conflict. Sometime being involved in conflicts is out of our hands. The best we can do it deal with the conflictwith a good manner. Just like how in our daily lives we experience happiness, laughter, and enjoy we also run into conflicts. So basically conflicts are part of our daily lives. Some of the conflicts people face daily are usually between, siblings, coworkers, partners, and friends. These conflicts could be solved right away or it could take a long time. Depending on how severe the situation might be. Once I started reading the book, Interpersonal conflicts I didn t expect to learn so much to be honest. But I m honored to say that I differently I did. To be honest this book was very informative, and well explanatory. In order for you to get a good understanding of this book you had to adopt couple things, like good listening skills, collaboration, activeness, good family relationships and so forth. Each chapter of the book covered different ways to deal with conflicts in our daily bases. Mostly conflicts take place at work force the reason being is because you interact with many people. Sometime people have different views and they end up disagreeing with each other and that s how conflicts start. But in this class I learned how to deal with conflicts no ... • 8. Why Don t We Complain By William F. Buckley Jr Who Can Complain As human beings we strive for more. The ultimate goal is to live a luxurious life and accomplish the goals we set out for ourselves. Sometimes a person has to be grateful for what they have, and just allow faith to run its course. There is a saying in my country, if you have everything you want in life, and everything goes your way, you will die . What I mean by this is, once a person as accomplished all their life goals, there is nothing left in life to fight for. Above all the material wealth one could wish for, the most important thing is respect. In Why Don t We Complain by William F. Buckley JR, Buckley really found the lack of respect and the lack of consideration some people have, for him, intolerable. Compared to The Fourth of July by Audre Lorde, her parents did not contradict any of life s circumstances, because they couldn t complain. Complaining would have made the matter worse. Looking at these two essays I realize that complaining about something you feel is unfair is not good, but there are certain complaints which are more serious than others. Surprisingly, Why Don t We Complain and The Fourth of July both had problems with the train system. A person would expect Audre s family to complain more about the trains; instead it was William who mentions how uncomfortable he felt in that situation. In the Audre essay she mentions how they could not dine in the diner car, meanwhile William was complaining about how hot the train was. He was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is performed prior to radial cannulation or catheterization, as a placement of such a catheter may result in thrombosis. Allen s test is considered to be normal. The patient is asked to clench both fists tightly for 1 minute at the same time. Pressure is applied to both radial arteries simultaneously so as to occlude them. Analysis Of Two In The Campagna A Psychoanalytic View of Two in the Campagna Freud suggests that the unconscious is a storehouse for our hidden desires, ambitions, fears, passion, and irrational thoughts. Since the unconscious is also a part of the psyche, the unconscious with hidden desires continues to affect us in the form of inferiority feelings, guilt, nightmares and dreams. The unconscious releases its suppressed wishes and desires through dreams. Freud believes that for authors, they create literary works to express their unconscious minds and to gratify their secret desires. Therefore, he declares that the literary work is the author s dream or fantasy. That is to say that the literary text can be analyzed like a dream to uncover the hidden desires. The Roles of Women in Medieval Scandinavia Essay When people think about Medieval Scandinavia they usually think about a cold northern region inhabited by a warrior people who spend all of their time sailing around in Viking warships and plundering from one another or going to war with their neighbors. While our archaeological evidence from this period may be rather scarce, many cite the Scandinavian pagan religions as a evidence of this warrior society due to the fact that men were encouraged to fight in order to be chosen by the gods to live in Valhalla, the pagan equivalent, loosely equivalent, of heaven. However, this only accounts for the men of the society, and no society can continue if it consists only of men. Were the women as concerned with war as their male comrades? Recent... Norse pagan lore is rife with female characters that challenge their male counterparts and take tasks upon themselves rather than simply leaving them to men, in some cases of pagan myth, the female characters even participate in battles. Scandinavian society itself also contributed to allotment of power into female hands. Due to societal expectations, in order to advance in society the Scandinavian man was required to find a wife and produce offspring; however, due to the overall scarcity of women only a small number of men could achieve this and the rest were forced to look elsewhere for brides, these men were the Vikings who raided other lands and countries not merely to find wealth but also to find themselves wives. All of this evidence culminates in the fact that women in Scandinavia held a very different position than was previously believed and one such woman who is an exceptional example of the utilization of this power is Margaret I, Queen of Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. For these reasons we are lead to believe that there existed an expected realm of responsibility for both men and women throughout medieval Scandinavian society; however it also seems to have been expected that some women would go beyond these social limitations in order to take power and occasionally even participate in battle, and ... The one thing that I do regret coming into this was not knowing the background and history of the Louvre and a majority of its works. After doing some research, I came across the history and mission of The Musee de Louvreand I was fascinated with what I read: from knowing that The Louvre was originally created as a fortress to finding out how hard the architects and designers worked so hard to make it an accessible place for all. The Louvre was originally created in the early 12th century while Francewas under the 43 year reign of Phillipe Auguste. During this time, a barricade was built to protect Parisfrom the Anglo Norman threat. France reinforced its defense with a fortress, which is today known as The Musee de Louvre. I found it neat that The Louvre was created so long ago and for such a different purpose. Most major places, such as the Palace of Versailles, were created to be a palace for the people to live in, but the Louvre was created for a much greater purpose: to protect the city. I believe that its original purpose has a huge affect on why it is so well known and means so much to the country of France today. In the first few years of the life of The Louvre, a... However, the main reason that allows people to engage in corruption and enjoy it is the weakness of government regulation. Corruption leads to the demoralizing aspects of frustration and apathy. • 24. Persuasive Essay On Seat Belt Safety On April 15th, 2017, a student rolled his car two and half times, the car was totaled. The student walked away without a scratch on him due to the fact that he was wearing a seatbelt. That student was me. The act of putting your seat belt into the buckle of your seat takes a mere two seconds. Two seconds is obviously a small price to pay if the cost could potentially be your entire life. When drivers and passengers are involved in car accidents, they are more likely to survive if they are wearing a seatbelt. Seat belts save lives as well as they often prevent major injuries. When involved in a serious car accident, seat belts have proven to be effective in saving lives and preventing injury. When involved in a car accident, passengers in the car are subject to concussion, ejection, paralyzation, or even death. Seat belts strap a passenger into their seat in the car, this prevents ejection from the vehicle. 75% of people who are ejected from their vehicles die from impact or related injuries (CDC). This incredibly high statistic proves the effectiveness of seatbelts holding you into the car and preventing death by ejection. In addition to this, the US Department of Transportation states that 88.5% of people used seat belts in 2016 (US Department of Transportation). This number is up 7% from 81.2% in 2006, meaning drivers and passengers alike are realizing the necessity of wearing a seatbelt. There are several disabilities out there, so chances are you must know someone who battles with the day to day hassles. But, are learning disabilities really a hassle? More often than not, this can be considered a misconception. Learning disabilities (LD) affect the way a person of at least average intelligence receives, stores, and processes information (NCLD 2001). Understanding a foreign language is also not one of their strong points. A child with a learning disability does not perform well on tests, especially when they are timed, often refuses to do written work, and has trouble decoding words. (Silverman) Of the three previously mentioned diseases, Dyslexia impairs a person s ability to read, write, and spell (NINDS 2003). Although they are of normal intelligence, their reading level is below average. They will usually have trouble with phonological processing (the manipulation of sounds) and/or rapid visual verbal responding. (NINDS 2003). Children with dyslexia complain they cannot read their textbooks, do not have enough time to finish tests, cannot take notes, and are unable to read their own handwriting (GVSU 2000). Dyslexia does not affect every person the same way, and signs of the disorder may not be prevalent until later, when grammar and more in depth writing skills are introduced. Dyslexia can also create a difficulty in processing vocabulary and thoughts correctly when speaking, and understanding what one says when they are spoken to. • 29. A Reflection Without Respect Society simply cannot function without respect. Respect is defined as the admiration or appreciation of someone. If no one had respect for one another, there would be chaos. There would be no appreciation of other people. This would cause an outrage among the society because people would have no manners and think they can get away with saying or doing whatever they want to someone else. Then, when someone gets their feelings hurt, they would fight back, and this cycle would continue. This could cause national debacles because no one would feel like an important part of society. For example, if teachers were not respected by students and were yelled at everyday, would they want to continue working under these conditions? This can also go all the way up into the government. The president not respecting his country would cause citizens to feel hatred against the leader and could cause outbursts. Not having respectcould be as simple as shoving into someone and not saying sorry, or all the way up to violent protests. This means that a lack of respect could cause a boatload of problems in the world. A society without respect would be full of ignorance and selfishness. People would start to believe that showing respect for another person is a sign of weakness, when in reality it shows strong values. A self actualized person would realize that being respectful is a necessary trait to have. A big part of respect that seems to get lost is self respect. This is almost the most ... Many people have found themselves asking this question at some point in their life. This has been a subject that has been addressed by many philosophers. In this paper the approach to this topic is centered on Plato s The Allegory of the Cave and Descartes s Meditation I of The Things Which We May Doubt as compared to the movie The Matrix. One of the most obvious similarities of the three passages is that they all call in to question what reality is. In The Matrix reality is conceived through a computer. This calls into question his own reality and was the life he was living real or imagined. Plato s Allegory of the Cave also shows a distorted sense of reality. The prisoners believe that what they see through the shadows is reality. Being tied by the fetters there is no way for them to see any other reality around them. Based solely on what they see through the shadows are real to them. • 33. Mythological Norms By Audre Lorde The concept of mythical norm was introduced by a feminist writer, Audre Lorde, who critically analyzed the dominant power mechanism in society that operates through a deeply ingrained idea of a normalized and naturalized male identity. This normative identity is both an image and ideal that stands out as a symbol of societal norms and privileges that are institutionalized in the law. More specifically, Lorde wrote, Somewhere, on the edge of consciousness, there is what I call a mythical norm, which each of us within our hearts knows that is not me. ... [T]his norm is usually defined as white, thin, male, young, heterosexual, Christian and financially secure. It is with this mythical norm that the trappings of power reside within this society. (as cited in Perry, 2011, p. 57) Even though Lorde positions this identity norm at the edge of consciousness, the norm seems to be at the center of the dominant societal myths about privilege and its discourses of law. As the particular male centric vision of power, the mythical norm functions as a regulating and governing social site and system of privileges through which unearned advantages are naturally attributed to all members of the identity norm without their own efforts and contributions (Perry, 2011, p. 57). Consequently, this normative category of men receives some of the main social, political and economic benefits by the virtue of their belonging to the aforementioned identity group. Prices rose 90% from 2000 to 2006 (Ueda, 2012) showing a rapid increase in housing prices and therefor increasing the amount further of those who would never be able to pay their mortgage back. This caused great financial pressure within the United States economy when the federal reserve raised interest rates within the United States in February 2007.This meant that debts were not being paid by subprime mortgage holders resulting in the collapse of the subprime mortgage market in mid 2007. In the pro choice argument, the group says it is safer for teens to have an abortion than to give birth because teens are not yet completely developed to have a baby. Teenage girls are not ready to physically give birth to their child. Their bodies need to mature before being able to give birth to a baby safely (Durrett, 18). Raising a baby is too hard for teens because they often are not yet prepared. Teenage girls, still have an education to finish and a future to plan. They are not financially prepared to have a baby and will rely too much on parents or guardians. When an abortion has failed or even thought about, there will be hurt. Pro choice supporters believe unhealthy relationships will occur between mother and child because of being unwanted. The baby will feel unloved and worthless and that will be key for the relationship going down the gutter. There will be too much conflict for both of them to handle and this will cause a terrible life for both the child and mother. They believe there should be no debate over what someone else should do with their own body. Another difference is whether the fetus is a baby. Pro choice say the fetus is not a person yet, therefore it is not murder. A baby is a person when it takes its first breath outside of the womb. When a baby is no longer attached to its mom and living and breathing on its own is when life begins for the baby. Meaning they do not believe obviously that the fetus is a baby. ... Based on the presented information about the different forms of organization, in my opinion a Limited Liability Company is the best option for the presented case, considering the initial stages of the business, the characteristics of the owners and the extent of the operations. The Limited Liability Company will allow them flexibility on their arrangements under the flexible statute which allows the members to alter those dissolution and transferability provisions by agreement . This form of organization also limits the liability of the owners, since the company is considered a separate legal entity, creditors won t have claims to their personal assets if the business default on payment. Another important advantage of selecting this form of organization is that the owners have taxation flexibility, the check the box regulations allow ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Jacob, The, And Jacob Let us commence a journey into the much travelled topic of Jacob wrestling with God. Jacob portrays deceitful characteristics throughout Genesis; Jacob gets his name from his twin brother Esau. When Jacob brother of Esau was born, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau s heel; so he was named Jacob(Gen. 25.26). Part of the reason Jacob is who he is because of his brother Esau. Esau and Jacob were more than just the typical brothers. Jacob hated Esau. It was all a competition between them. Esau was born the hunter and Jacob did just enough to get by. They are the sons of Isaac. Jacob had a past of struggling with God almost as if he was seeking to fulfill his own destiny all on his own. Jacob had always been trying to seek a life that didn t involve God. The wrestling with God plays a big part in his overall character. This is true because, when Jacob wrestles with God he comes to him. Jacob came to God because he realized that he couldn t choose his own destiny and get there with out God. While he was wresting with God, If the wrestler is unable to overcome Jacob spiritually, it is because Jacob is not willing to yield. Only when the man threatens to go without offering assurances of God s help does Jacob show his willingness to negotiate in the critical issues. (Walton 605). Jacob so desperately wants God, he is clinging to him. Although, he is very stubborn before he submits himself to God he wants a blessing from him, Jacob s willingness to submit ... All cells must contract in a specific sequence. This sequence is determined by the pathway known as the conduction system. 2.Cardiac cells are connective and autorhythmic. What does this mean? Connective cells, action potentials, (excitatory signals) can propagate from one cell to another via gap junctions. Autorhythmic cells can excite themselves spontaneously without stimulation of the nervous system and contract at a regular rhythm. 3.Cells from different parts of the heart s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The signal moves quickly from the SA node through the atria where it experiences a slight delay when it reaches the AV node and it must pass into fibers with smaller diameters. The signal then quickly resumes along its path through the AV bundle branches apex and base of the ventricles contraction begins. 7.What happens at each of the following points of a normal ECG? P Atrial excitation (atrial depolarization). QRS Ventricular excitation (ventricular depolarization). T End of ventricular excitation (ventricular repolarization). 8.Contrast a healthy heart ECG with an abnormal one in which ventricular excitation is independent of atrial excitation (P waves). The sequence of depolarization and repolarization can be seen in a normal electrocardiogram usually called the ECG. The electrocardiogram can also show problems with the conduction system. Look at this trace showing complete heart block by comparing the QRS waves to the P waves. You can see that ventricular excitation is independent of atrial excitation. The pace of ventricular excitation is being sent by the ventricles slower natural rhythm not by stipulation from the SA node atria. 9.Contrast the resting potential of typical myocardial cells with that of SA nodaL cells. A typical contractile cell in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
