This document presents the results of a study on the relationship between soft drink consumption and obesity. The study involved 82 participants separated into groups based on soft drink consumption per week - none, ≤2, 3-6, and ≥7 servings. Participants underwent two stages - the first with 1 serving per day for 1 group, and the second for 37 weeks. Across both stages, the groups consuming ≥7 servings per week had the greatest increase in fat mass, followed by 3-6 servings, ≤2 servings, and none as having the lowest increase. The study suggests that increased soft drink consumption is associated with higher risk of obesity.
