3. 1. Let it Out
The first instinct when something bad
happens is stop ourselves from crying.
This is where we make a big mistake.
Why should we stop ourselves from
feeling something our body wants us to
feel?
Let it out. Cry as hard as you can. You
have to get all your hurt, pain, anxiety,
confusion, every emotion you feel out
of your system. Only then you can
move on to step 2..
4. 2. Take a Deep Breath
Once you’ve let it out, breathe.
Drink a glass of water. See if you truly
have taken all your frustration out. If
yes, then simply close your eyes and
imagine the one place that brings you
most peace. Imagine you’re sitting there
and take a deep breath. Let the breath
out. Doing this a few times will help you
calm yourself and gather all your
thoughts.
5. 3. Talk to Your Peers
Be it your friends or family, talk. Talk
about what you are going through
without being scared of being judged.
This is easier said than done, so if you
don’t have a person in your life who you
think will truly understand, seek help.
There is absolutely no harm in going to
a therapist to talk your problems out - to
learn how to be strong. You’re actually
stronger than you think if you can make
this decision.
6. 4. Give Yourself Time
This is very important. Along with taking
help, you need to give time to what
matters to YOU.
Do you like to write, start today. Want to
paint, go ahead. Current job not working
out for you? Start thinking what you want
and work hard to reach where you want.
Read a book. Travel. Do what you want to
regain strength, you’ll learn to live with
your pain - sometimes you won’t even feel
it.
7. 5. Learn From Your Experience
Not all learning is something you read
or see. Sometimes you just feel the
change. Sometimes it’s all
subconsciously done - the changes.
Be it being more careful with strangers
or taking time when taking a new path,
everything is a learning. So, close your
eyes and tell yourself what this
experience made you learn.
