Kathy H. as is not reliable as a narrator. Kathy comes across as naГЇve in some of her
narration especially when she is describing what occurred at Hailsham. Kathy was
only a child at Hailsham and did not have enough information accurately describe
why the students had experienced what they did when she was narrating her
experiences at 31 years old. Kathy appears to be nice, but I felt that there was this
underlying sense of judgement that came from her narration when describing
different events. On page 13, when Tommy stopped and smiled at her because he
recognized her, she said that she felt like saying Tommy, why don t you grow up.
Kathy thought this instead of saying it aloud because she knew that she was not the

demographic. The novel was published in 1985 and written by the American author

s Game was the winner of both the Nebula and Hugo awards for best novel in 1985

This could be most likely due to the fact that the creators of the film didn t want to
have to cast three different aged actors that looked very similar enough to be the

and make it so the plot didn t seem to drag on as we watched a six year old develop

For the past decade, my grandmother had been apart of the St. Joseph s Bluffs
assistant for living in Jefferson City. Therefore, I would like to express my sincere
and deep appreciation for the outstanding care the staff provided my grandmother in
her last days. I would like to express how being outdoors and going places had an
effect on my grandmother. I would like to show my thanks to Chaplain Mueller and
the chapel inside the nursing home. I would also like to talk about my
grandmotherВґs battle with ParkenВґs disease and how she managed to live all these
years with the help of the nursing staff. I never realized how important is it to work

Joseph s Bluffs she lived in Leawood, Kansas where she worked. When she was
first moved into a nursing home in Kansas city to live close to her daughter. She
even lived in another nursing home called Westbrook Terrace also in Jefferson City.
All of these assisted living facilities took good care of my grandmother, however,
none of them would have the greatest impact on her live as the nursing staff at St.
Joseph s Bluffs. The nursing staff there showed me how much they care for my
grandmother and were willing to help her. Every year they would even hold a
Thanksgiving brunch for the elderly and their family.
My grandmother loved going outdoors. Often times when we visited her we would
roll her wheelchair outside to the covered garden and sit for a while. They also had
a bird room on the first floor, where she spent most of her time in. Every year for
Thanksgiving and Christmas my dad would pick my grandmother up to bring her
back home for a family meal. She enjoyed the company of her family and us of hers.
