Taking a Look at Cyber Crime
Introduction
Cybercrime describe a heinous act that interferes with the functioning of the computer
networks by exposing the users of the networks together with the systems to risks.
The act is committed intentionally with the objective of creating interruptions that
disrupt the normal functioning of the system. Computer users feel the harm directly
or through a second party depending on the nature of the tool used in committing the
crime (Hull and Sivanesar, 2013, p 98). Computer users across the globe are facing
threat, due to the rise in cases of cyber crime, and this is necessitating the intervention
of the government through enactment of policies that govern the usage of computer
technology. According to Richardson (2008, p 3), cyber crime has grown to
catastrophic levels thus posing a challenge to global security. Consequently, besides
cyber crime affecting the security of individual users of the system, it has a
significant effect on the social, political and economic aspects of people s live hood.
As discussed in the piece, cyber crime is an advanced form of violation of the law
that poses challenges that were inexistent to the globe prior to the introduction of
computers.
Forms of Cyber Crime
Critics categorize computer crime into two groups namely; offences targeting people
using computers, and offenses, which interfere with the functioning of computer
networks. The common crimes that affect networks in this case include viruses,
restrictive access, and malwares.
I Am A Part Of The Wesleyan Singers At North Carolina...
My First Visit To The Church
I am a part of the Wesleyan Singers at North Carolina Wesleyan College. Our group
performs Christian culture music and it was my first time I ever sang for church. I
had a wonderful privilege to learn about Christian culture after I became a part of
this group. This small group consists of fifteen people and I am one of the two
tenors. Every year we have been doing lots of performance inside college but singing
in a church, in front of large number of spiritual people was my first time. we
performed at Wilson, North Carolina. It was at the Wesleyan Singers Director s
church named First United Methodist Church. There were lots of people but none of
them were teenagers, we could only see old spiritual people and a very few children.
This was my first time ever being inside a church and being a part of the choir that
was going to perform felt like a great privilege.
The church service was to start at 11 a.m. and we reached the church around 10:20
a.m. As we walked inside the church I was fascinated by the size and beauty of it. It
was a big church with beautiful decorated stained glass like we see in cathedrals
and a wonderful music room. This first thing that amazed me was the size of the
sanctuary. In Nepal we have small temples where people go to pray and worship
various deities. The sanctuary could probably seat more than five hundred people. I
felt like I was in an auditorium and about to perform my solo in front of these
people. The part
Advantages Of Volleyball Essay
Have you ever heard of the sport volleyball? Well if you haven t then let me tell you
about it. It s where you have a team and you play a sport called volleyball, and you
play with a ball that s called a volleyball and you can bump, set, and spike. You also
play get to play against all these different schools. You can also playin tournaments to
play a bunch a team in one day. If you you have a good winning streak you and your
team could possibly go to state. State where you go to a high schoollike building and
you play against teams all day for two days and in the end you all get participation
trophies and about a week later you might get a bigger award for cheering for your
team the most.
So first let s talk about the advantages ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You coach my also make you do drills like hitting line where you go up to the net
and you tip and then hit. You also have to run on and off the court to get the ball or
switch on and off with another player. Exercise is also good for volleyball because is
you don t you will be very out of shape and that s not good because you have to have
upper body strength and leg strength to jump.
Now the disadvantages, the first one is injuries. Injuries can happen really easily
in volleyball because you are jumping a lot and you slide all over the court and
sometimes that can end up in a bad injury. Sometimes when you re sliding you can
hurt your knees like popping them out of place or getting a burn. You can also hurt
people on the other team by hitting the ball to hard or just hitting it in the wrong
way. You may accidentally run into someone and injure both yourself and your
teammate now you might not mean it but it might end up in you both sit out. You
also slip and fall and injure your elbow or chest. Next disadvantage is it can be
expensive. Volleyball clubs and sometimes school volleyball can extremely
expensive and sometime people can t afford it and the really sad because they can t
play just because of price. Sometimes people have the money in the beginning and
then they might have something happen and then they can t play anymore. It can be
hard to pay for both your education and play volleyball so you re most likely going
to choose education but

How The Phoenicians Were Civilized People
Chapter 1
Discuss human evolution.
Humans are very closely related to chimps and apes. Chapter 1 in The Earth and Its
Peoples, talks about three traits that really separates humans from apes. First is
bipedalism, which is the fancy word for being able to walk upright on both legs.
Second, is that we have bigger brains. Our human brain allows us to function more
sophisticatedly. The last trait is where or voice box is located. Ours is lower down
in our necks. Much of evolution is also due to the Ice Age and changing temperatures
(4).
2. Discuss the viability of migrations from Africa.
During the Ice Age many early humans migrated to follow animal herds as a source
for food. Homo Sapiens could have evolved apart from the Homo Erectus, who ...

It had many exports of a medical plant called silphium. Many young men were sent

3. Discuss the particulars of the rise of the persian empire.
Medes achieved a complex level of politics and played a huge part in destroying
the Assyrian Empire. Achaemendis (Persian rulers), formed relationships with
Medes people due to marriage. An offspring of the two people was named Cyrus,
and he overthrew the Median monarch and created both groups in positions of
responsibility. The society had warriors, priests, and peasants. Cyrus defeated Lydia,
Anatolia, and Mesopotamia. His son, Cambyses conquered other places. Darius I
grew Persian control and moved it eastward and westward. By this time, the Medes
were not as prominent as the Persians (105 106).
4. What was Zoroastrianism?
Zoroastrianism origins are uncertain. It is said that the world was created by
Ahuramazda, and that unity was once destroyed. This brought about the struggle of
good and evil, and that good prevails over all. Due to a humans actions in life, it
would be determined if he/she would be rewarded or punished in the afterlife. This
religion was combined with politics and helped Darius run things. Zoroastrianism
was all about ethics and believed in one deity
Powers of Horror by Julia Kristeva, Questions and Answers
To what extent are we all strangers to ourselves , even in our own countries? Answer
with reference to Kristeva s book.
Exile, the reality and practice of being barred from a native country, has prolifically
influenced many philosophers theoretical writings. Indeed, Julia Kristeva being in
exile from her native Bulgaria is a foreigner in an unascertained land. Being an
outcast influence s her philosophical, political and sociological extended essay
Strangers to Ourselves published in 1991. The book addresses a problem that
Kristeva has experienced first hand: the struggle of being a foreigner in Western
culture and the difficulties that people and nations have with treating foreigners
residing in their motherland. Jealousy drives our nationalist temperaments and
Kristeva explores the figure of the unconscious foreigner in all of us. Strangers to
Ourselves draws on the difficulty that natives have in accepting the stranger within
and if we can come to terms with this notion. The exile is often a foreigner in an
unfamiliar place or a foreigner repressed within the native s unconscious, however a
feeling of strangeness can also occur through an exclusion from the hegemonic
rationalism of modern society (Lechte: 79). There are at least two other forms of
exile that can produce the foreign ness in us: being an exile as a way to thrive
intellectually and imaginatively and being alienated as a woman. Historically and in
the contemporary world, natives incite prejudice onto
Examples Of Doublethink In George Orwell s 1984
Question 1:In what ways is Oceania not only morally and spiritually bankrupt but
physically ugly and bleak as well? In the book 1984 the fictional country of
Oceania the citizens have no beliefs other than what they are told and believe in
anything told to them by the party. The party allows for no development of thought
and design other than those that are beneficial to them. The architecture of their
society is lacking because to allow people do fix buildings in no way extends their
power and control over them. Winston describes his home at victory mansions as
an old run down building that smelt of boiled cabbage and old rags. Many parts of
the building such as the lifts are in desperate need for repair. In Winston s flat the

Winston s also hangs around prole neighborhood and engages with an elderly prole

show his hatred toward the party. He conforms to the party s standard during the two
minutes hate when he shouts as loud as everyone at the picture of Goldstein and The
Brotherhood and when he destroys the picture of Jones, Aaronson, and Rutherford.
Question 6: The party depends on doublethink to control the minds of Party
members. How does doublethink work? Doublespeak is the main idea in which the
party controls their citizens by making them accept things they know are wrong
without doublethink the totalitarian world would not exist because the people would
not believe in what the party tells them to believe. The party uses childhood
indoctrination to ingrain the ideas they want them to believe because when they are
younger they do not have the mental capacity to fully understand what is said to
them and know what is right and wrong about what they are being told to believe.

Thesis Statement For Wheelchair
PROBLEM STATEMENT
There are people who are unable to walk because of different disability. Person
suffering from different form of plegia (mainly paraplegia) ,polio, amputation,
cerebral palsy, muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson disease, nervous problem, Rickets,
etc, won t be able to move their lower body parts but they will be able to move their
upper body parts including hands. So using the movement of hands or by using the
technique of gesture recognition we can help them to solve their problem to a certain
extent. This technique will help in the mobility of such people.
OBJECTIVE
To design a wheelchair using hand gesture recognition technique.

The movement will be with the help of motors and the movement will continue up
to 20m until if the person changes the directions. If the person wants to change the
direction the sensor will detect the change and will brake the system and will move
the chair in the required directions. There will be the controllers present which will
help the chair to provide acceleration up to a certain distance. The block diagram of
hand gesture controlled wheel chair is given below.

An Automated wheelchair
CONCLUSION
So there are different types of wheelchairs available in the market which helps in
the mobility of disabled people. A gesture controlled wheelchair with the above
features will allow the person to move in his own way or in the required directions
as the person wants. It will also provide the person an independent platform for
moving from one place to another and with the help of ultrasound sensors it will
also make sure that the person won t meet any accidents. By using this system there
is no need for a person to rely on others for his day to day
Fundamentals of Research Methodology
Fundamentals of Research Methodology Monique Vann PSYCH 540 March 24,
2013 Jeanne Henry, Ph.D. Fundamentals of Research Methodology This paper will
explore the fundamentals of research methodology in the Psychology field and
discuss the importance of psychology. The answers to these questions are the basis
for the theories that led to research. Research is the groundwork performed by
Psychologists in order to answer questions about behavior and the mind. The
outcome of the research will offer a clear picture of why an individual act the way
he or she does. In the Psychology field, data is gathered to conduct the research and
produce an outcome. This is a time consuming process but without it there would be

The Quantitative data collected can be used to graph or construct a table of the
results. The Qualitative data is the more complicated of the two data s because it
is descriptive but both are equally important. Scientific Theory Construction and
Testing Testing is conducted and hypothesis is formed in order to reach an
outcome. Clearly to understand scientific theory, the word has to first be defined.
Scientific theory is based on scientific observations are hypothesized and retested
until it is proven to be valid, and there is not evidence to disprove it. The variables
are taken into consideration when creating a theory. Intervening variables is
important when developing theories because the ideas allow the researchers to
explain the relationship between independent and dependent variables. If the test
is inaccurate and the hypothesis proves to be false, the testing process will be
repeated and once accurate a theory is formed. Research is a trial and error process.
The Scientific Theory Construction and Testing is an important research process.
The first step is to introduce the theory. The second step is to develop a hypothesis
used to explain the theory. The third step to conduct an experiment used to approve
or disprove the hypothesis. Once the process is confirmed and hypothesis is proved
to be valid, a theory is formed. Researchers evaluate theories by judging the
How Is Dr. Faustus An Allegory
Dr.Faustus is about the thinking of an adolescent from the beginning of its
adolescence towards its end. As an adolescent he doesn t want to be an engineer,
doctor or lawyer as he wish to be all, not just one. His developing body, mind,
thinking led him to think that he is the god father, so why just be an individual
having on quality, one art or one identity. But with the passage of time as
adolescence passes away, the reality appears to him slowly. He feels that the
system i.e. prevailed in this world doesn t let him to be the person who have all the
qualities, instead of this he has to choose a particular field or a particular way this
despairs him. But the cry for power never blurred from his eyes. Actually the logic

For an adolescent, there is no limit of arrogance it increases day by day. He feels
that it is because of his any quality he possesses like because of his knowledge,
muscularity, beauty etc. so he wants increment in that particular quality, which he
feels, is responsible for his fame admiration. So puts additional efforts to increase that
specialty, for showoff for satisfaction.
This thing in Dr. Faustus, Christopher expresses as:
Had I as many souls as there be stars, I did give them all for Mephistopheles to him
(Beelzebub) I will build an altar church and offer lukewarm blood of new born babies
But the reality of life is different, as the pride arrogance are time being. A man has
to get old a man has to die this pinches the heart of an adolescent. So he starts
cursing himself. The eternal truth that annoys an adolescent is that, it was because of
arrogance that the beloved angel of god turns into the chief ruler of all evil spirits,
his aspiring pride insolence brought about his downfall.
Christopher expresses this as:
Ugly hell, gape not! Come not, Lucifer! I will burn my books! Ah,
Toxic White Oak Acorn
Research Question: What is the difference in endophytes between a toxic white oak,
acorn, and a non toxic, chinese chestnut?
Our research may be of interest to someone interested in genetically modifying an
organism to exhibit toxic compounds similar to the acorn, so that pests are less likely
to eat the crop.
Seedlings grown in the toxic endophytes were more tolerant to the budworms than the
seedlings who were not grown in the etoxic medium, as studied in the experiment
cited at the bottom. (Miller, 2014) So a correlation between toxic endophytes and
reduced amounts of spruce budworms eating the plant was found. Thus with our

Taking a Look at Calvin Coolidge
Calvin Coolidge
Calvin Coolidge, many young people have not heard the name Calvin Coolidge as
they re growing up. President Coolidge has earned the right of not being very
known. He was known as Silent Cal because of the fact that he never really talked
that much and because of his quiet demeanor. Because of this, he chose not to seek
his second term. John Calvin Coolidge Jr. was born in the town of Plymouth Notch,
Vermont on the 4th of July of 1872 to John Coolidge Sr. and Victoria Josephine
Moor Coolidge. John Sr. was a very successful farmer who had also served in the
House of Vermont and the Senate. He also served in other local offices in
Vermont. Victoria died when Calvin Jr. was 12 years old. Jr. also had a teenage
sister named Abigail Grace Coolidge but she unfortunately died several years later
also. Calvin s earliest family ancestor dating back into the American culture was
also John Coolidge and he dated his arrival back as early as 1630. His great great
grandfather was also named John Coolidge and served as an officer in the
Revolutionary War. Now to talk about Calvin s education. You might wonder where
Silent Cal got his education, well that place is known as Amherst College, located
in Massachusetts. He pursued a law career and every apprenticed at a law firm in
Northhampton, Massachusetts. In 1897 he was admitted to the bar and opened his
own law office in 1898. Ever heard the saying opposites attract? Well that proves to

Vairocana is one of many Buddhas revered by particular sections of Sino Japanese
Buddhism, especially among the Chinese school of Hua Yen, and the Japanese
schools of Kegon and Shingon. The Buddha Vairocana represents the embodiment of
Dharmakaya or Truth Body , and therefore is often depicted in massive sculpted

The Apache Creation Story Analysis
The Apache Creation Story is a reliving of the creation that takes on a more personal,
familial and dialogue based approach to how the world and mankind came to be. The
story depicts how the natural environment was created, from the earth itself to the
four cardinal points to the clouds, the animals, and the trees. Because of the natureof
the Apache s nomadic life, the legend remains generalized in terms of its location.
Typically the story is told in order to preserve their tribal history as well as social
and instructional purposes. These occasions range from the campfire to rites of
passage to simply a parent teaching their child of their historical identity. The legend
of creation is central to the spiritual practices and beliefs of the Apache, especially
when it comes to their relationship with the natural world. As explained in the first
two phrases of the story, animals, elements, the solar system, and natural phenomena
are revered by the Apaches. By sharing this story with younger tribe members, the
Apache engage them in understanding their traditions. It also teaches them of the
morality they must have and pass on when it comes to nature, as Montejo mentions
(21). It tells of the role of all living beings on earthand the importance of them all
working harmoniously to keep the universebalanced.
The legend is split up into a series of small stanzas that describe the actual life
conditions. Following the two sentence prelude to the myth, the storyteller introduces

The Romantic Er The Victorian Period And The Romantic
Period
Earlier in The Victorian Period, also known as the Victorian era began in the year
1837. It was also an important period, because it was the year that Victoria became
Queen. Also years passed and the Victorian Period ended with her death in 1901.
History says that the Victorian period is one of the longest periods ever. The Queen
Victoria lasted 63 long years and lasted longer than many British monarchs. Despite
the fact that the Romantic period lasted less than the Victorian. The Victorian period
is said that lasted twice as the Romantic period. The Victorian period was a very
influential movement. For example a Victorian period novel is A ChristmasCarol by
Charles Dickens. The Victorian period even though it ended it is steel known in
modern days. In the year 1843 there... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

gambles and happily enjoying time away from her family. Later on Gwendolyn

reads the letter, her life changed from better to worst. In fact the author had
problems at first; she took a man s name to begin with. Eliot said that girls were
not taken seriously as they take men. She believed that if she changes her name she
would get more respect from other people. Her novel was great but some people do
not like the novel because it caused a lot of confusion and problems. In conclusion
Robert Louis Stevenson literary career did not begin till 1878. More importantly his
first success was with Treasure Island in 1833. What Robert did changed his life
and became a famous writer. To conclude Charles Dickens of all the three authors I
have, he is the most who made an effect. To summarize Dickens work he is the best
in my opinion in writing novels. Dickens work is known to everyone in the literature
culture. The characters in A Christmas Carol had a lot of

Simon Weisenthal
Simon Weisenthal was a renowned Nazi hunter and Author. He was born on
December 31st, 1908. He lived a heroic life and died on September 20, 2005. I am
just here to explain his tales and misfortunes. Simon started off by being born in the
Ukraine, but his parents soon packed up and took him along to Argentina. Growing
up he did well in school and graduated from The Gymnasium in 1928 and applied to
the Polytechnic Institute in Lvov. Turned away because of restrictions on Jewish
students, he went to the Technical University of Prague instead, from which he
received his degree in architectural engineering in 1932. In 1936, Simon married
Cyla Mueller and worked in an architectural office in Lvov. They lived happily in

After his life of nazi hunting, he moved back to his native land Austria. Used to his
active lifestyle, he found himself doing nothing all day. He decided to spend his
time more productively by writing down all that he remembered about being a
concentration camp inmate. The book was about when he was a concentration
camp inmate, Simon was taken from his cell to the bedside of a dying member of
the SS. (Hitler s personal guards) Haunted by the crimes he has helped commit and
watch in the past, he wanted to hear a jew say that he forgives him so he could die
at peace. Faced with the choice of a man dying in peace, or silence and justice, he
chose silence. The book was later published and titled Sunflower, a metaphor for a
sunflower starting in a ground, in darkness, then eventually sprouting and basking in
the sun. He started from ground zero, pretty much like a robot. Everyday he wakes
up at the same time, eats the same lousy breakfast, works in the same factory, and
sleeps at the same time. Then eventually his camp is liberated right before the nazis
started liquidating the inmates population. Then he became a free man therefore has
no restraints. Simon was also awarded many medals for his services as a Nazi hunter.
13 states dished out medals of honor, and France, Germany, England, and America. In
conclusion, Simon Wiesenthal was most known for his time as a Nazi
Banking Regulation Basel II
Procyclicality in minimum regulatory capital charges for credit risk
There is a vast amount of literature available on the additional procyclicality of
regulatory capital charges in Pillar 1 of Basel II. In this section, we shall briefly
visit this literature and see if any conclusions can be drawn from this, before
proceeding to the conclusion and mitigation of these procyclical effects. The
majority of the literature, as expected, focuses primarily on the IRB approach, as this
aspect of Basel II has drawn the most criticism from financial practitioners and
academics alike. The greater part of this literature has found that there is an
overwhelmingly substantial rise in procyclicality of minimum regulatory capital
charges originating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is the biggest problem, and has to be addressed correctly once economic
conditions are conducive to do so. Within the specified Tier 1 requirement, common
shares and retained earnings should be a priority and form the predominant form of
capital. To ensure the quality of this capital, the Basel Committee should harmonize
capital deductions and prudential filters (FSF BCBS, 2009). The committee should
also enhance the disclosure of the components of regulatory capital in order to
increase transparency within the system and avoid confusion in terms of the quality
of capital required.
(2) The Basel Committee should make adjustments to their framework to inhibit
excessive cyclicality of the minimum capital requirements
The Basel Committee has made a reasonable effort to mitigate this cyclicality already,
by monitoring the impact of cyclicality through data collection (via their Capital
Monitoring Group). This data is available every 6 months, and helps the committee
monitor the extent to which the capital regime reveals excessively high levels of
capital cyclicality. In correspondence with this data monitoring, the Basel Committee
must review the ways in which cyclicality, arising from the Pillar 1 capital
requirement calculation, can be abated. They must try and maintain the risk
sensitivity of the inputs, but also create an emphasis on dampening the effects of
cyclicality on the outputs. This way the
Valentine s Day Argumentative Analysis
Based on the article how valentine s day became a commercial juggernaut which
is written by Meera Dolasia, proves that valentine s day is becoming one of the
most expensive holidays in America. Valentine s day was first celebrated in Rome
at the time of 270 AD, this was the time of emperor Claudius II, when he was
emperor, Rome was one of the most powerful tribes, they conquered almost half of
the world, but then the soldiers wanted to get married and have families, so the
emperor thought that his army was getting soft, he then made a law that no soldier
was allowed to get married. Valentine, a bishop, thought it was unfair to not let
soldiers have a chance to find love, so he held several weddings in his church for the
soldiers. But soon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But people don t just buy random chocolates, they buy chocolates put into soft red
heart shaped cases. When we write cards on valentine s day, some people wonder
how the idea of writing cards on valentine s day even got made up. Well, a woman
named Esther Howland also called The Mother of the American Valentine , she
was the first artist to sell handmade lace paper cards featuring messages of love to
retailers. With over than 145 million cards bought in the USA and other countries,
this also means that Valentine s day is now one of the biggest revenue generators
for greeting card factories. The fabulous idea of boxing chocolates in fancy heart
shaped cases came from Richard Cadbury, the founder of Cadbury s cocoa and
chocolate company. Jewelry, flowers, chocolates, cards are all really important
because jewelry marks special times in your life that you want to remember, and
also jewelry can be passed down generations, and it almost doesn t break. Flowers
can help release stress and anxiety, they be more than that too, flowers can help
with weddings and in funerals, flowers bring a sense of peace and beauty to the sad
occasion. Chocolate is just made for the good taste, and cards are like a special
memory that people took time to prepare and

Taxation in India
Taxation in India
The Indian Tax Structure is quite elaborate, with clear distinction in authority
between Central, State and local governments. The taxes levied by the Central
government are on income (other than tax on agriculture income which would be
levied by the state government), customs duties, central excise and service tax. The
State government levies Value Added Tax(VAT), sales tax in states where VAT is
not applied, stamp duty, state excise, land revenue and tax on professions. Local
bodies levy tax on property, octroi and for utilities like water supply, drainage etc.
In the last 10 to 15 years, tax system in India has been subjected to significant
reforms. The tax rates have been revised and tax laws have been modified. ... Show

The system of direct taxes was very much complex and inefficient because of the
combination of high marginal rates of personal income and wealth taxation and high
rates of corporate profits. The corporate tax was pretty high. It leads to large scale

Grace Murray Hopper s Accomplishments
Grace Murray Hopper was a twentieth century U.S. Navy rear admiral and computer
science pioneer whose advancements in programming languages and computer
testing standards have provided the foundations for today s information age.
Furthermore, Admiral Hopper s accomplishments continue to inspire young women
to explore skills and professions in current and emerging technologies. Grace Hopper
was born December 9, 1906 in New York, New York. As a child, she found interest
in taking various items apart and reassembling them to discover how they worked.
Hopper was greatly influenced by both her father and her grandfather. Her
grandfather introduced her to the world of mathematics. Her father lost both of his
legs when she was young. Despite his disability, he was determined to learn to use
two wooden legs and a cane to resume his normal daily activities. His determination

nanosecond is a billionth of a second. Grace Hopper explained to her students that
the concept of a billion could not be grasped by the human mind. Therefore, a
billionth must be the same way. Desperate to know what a nanosecond was equal

that electricity to travel in a billionth of a second. She then used wires in her
teachings on the nanosecond. This allowed her students to visualize how fast
electricity could travel in just a billionth of a
What Is Elizabeth I s Pragmatic Plan
Throughout modern European history, Elizabeth I s pragmatic reign over her
nation, Bismarck s aggressive yet sly tactics to unify Germany, and Hitler s
expeditious rise to power and its continuation show the development of politics
from Machiavelli s The Prince. With England torn apart by religious unrest brought
about by Henry VIII, Edward VI, and Mary I, Elizabeth I employed a pragmatic
plan during the 1500s in order to bring about peace. In introducing a religious policy,
she devised a compromise between the theological beliefs of Protestantism and
Catholicism. Firstly, she adjusted her predecessors title of the only supreme head of
the church to only supreme governor of this realm (Spielvogel 407). Though the
alteration did... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Mary was the monarch of Scotland, the Calvinist nobles deposed of her, and
she fled to England for safety (Spielvogel 408). Since she was the daughter of
Henry VIII s sister, Mary held a legitimate claim to the throne after Elizabeth. In
fact, many Catholics saw Henry s second marriage to Anne Boleyn as improper,
making Mary the more fitting queen for England (Sifakis 1). Seeing opportunity in
this woman who had no intention of altering her faith, the Catholics plotted to
place her on the English throne (Black 68). They took part in many failed
assassination plots on Elizabeth, one of them being the Babington Plot of 1586.
This nefarious plan held Mary s controversial involvement, leading to her trial,
conviction, and execution (Sifakis 2). With a resolve to end the threats to her
regime, Elizabeth ended her cousin s life through a beheading (Spielvogel 408).
Both Elizabeth s decision to get rid of Mary and the construction of religious
compromise were Machiavellian because of her pragmatic way of thinking to ensure
a successful reign. Elizabeth s religious settlement was practical because it ignored
moral values, displaying itself as a Machiavellian plan. By creating an Anglican
religion based on compromise,

Female circumcision in Africa is completed in order to prove that the female is
going to be able to endure life s hardships, and that she will be able to handle
responsibility when older. Muslims believe females must get circumcised in order
to curb the female s sexual desire. After the procedure, the women are expected to
get married and start their own families. This procedure is usually done on young
girls between infancy and the age of 15, most likely before puberty starts. The
procedure is traditionally carried out by a woman with no medical training.
Anesthetics and antiseptic treatments are not normally used, and the practice is
usually carried out using knives, scissors, and scalpels, pieces of glass or razor
blades. Girls are sometimes put down in restraints. There are some immediate and
long term effects to this procedure including, severe pain, shock, bleeding, HIV and
hepatitis, abnormal periods, complication in pregnancy and pain in sex. It can also
sometimes lead to death. Surgery can be performed to open up the lower vagina

a safer birth. FGM increases the risk of the vagina tearing during delivery, which

The Psychological Motivation For Serial Killers
I don t feel guilty for anything. I feel sorry for people who feel guilt, Ted Bundy.
Throughout the world a specific group of individuals such as Bundy, are classified
as serial killers. According to the Britannica Encyclopedia the term serial killer or
the act of serial killing can be defined as the unlawful homicide of at least two
people, carried out in a series over a period of time. Every year such murderers
create chaos in hundreds and thousands of people s lives through their dark
motives and monstrous actions. Society often searches for reasons why such
killings take place, but the majority fail to investigate past the surface of the
murders. The psychological motivation for serial killers stems deeper to
predisposed state of minds as well as several shared traits and histories.
Psychological commonalities among the serial killers such as the biological
makeup of their brain as well as similar family situations help people understand the
actions that serial killers make. Individuals classified as serial killers are known to
have abnormal psychological states of mind that cause them to violently cause chaos
in thousands of lives every year. Among these murderers many share psychological
commonalities that stem from various aspects in their lives that drive them to such
disturbing actions. The act of serial killing has occurred throughout history all around
the world. Some of the first ever documented cases included a Roman woman named

Pathophysiology Of Asthma
Introduction:
Asthma comes from the Greek meaning of short of breath which the world has come
to known as asthma which is shortness of breath. Henry Hyde Salter was the first
person to describe asthma in which he stated: airways narrow due to contraction of
their smooth muscle. William Osler known as the father of medicine described asthma
as a spasm of the bronchial muscles, swelling of the bronchial mucous membrane,
the special form of inflammation of the smaller bronchioles, similar to hay fever,
runs in families, begins in childhood and sometimes lasts into old age, can induce a
paroxysm. Asthma was understood about around 1980s when they figured out how
the specific allergen exposure causes a cascade of triggered chemical mediated ...

The mucous metaplasia is caused by production and storage of mucins increasing
in secretory cells and club cells. MUC5B and MUC5AC are types of bronchial
epithelial cells mRNA which help mucous clearing and protect against airway
infection. This has been thought to be a major player in airway problems in
asthma. IL 13 binding causes mucous metaplasia. This is caused by the binding of
IL 13 which leads to Jak kinases activation and then phosphorylation of transducer
and then STAT6. This STAT6 pathway deals with calcium activated chloride
channel one which is also known as CLCA1 and is the gene related to the airway
epithelial cells. In asthma, however, this channel doesn t function as it normal
function which is an ion channel but goes through secretion and cleavage. This
channel can induce MUC5AC through MAP kinase MAPk13. The inflammation
aspect of asthma occurs from a cascade of events usually is a type 2 inflammation
dealing with types of CD4+ T cells like Th2 cells. This pathway deals with a lot of
mediators that cause inflammation, IgE, mucosal surfaces, smooth muscles, and mast
cells. When the IgE is created in the body, it is circulated through the bloodstream.
Reading Time Research Paper
As a child, reading was always something I loved to do. I started reading at an early
age. I went to preschool for two years, so I had an advantage when it came to
reading. Once I d gotten into elementary school, I excelled tremendously in that
area. Sitting in my kindergarten class, I d love to hear Mrs. Reed say, Alright my
shining stars get on the magic carpet for reading time. It was the highlight of my
day, every day. Who would ve known that something as simple as reading would be
so beneficial to me later in life? Reading became one of my saving graces, as I got
older. Life ,when you re in preschool, isn t that complicated. The most stressful thing
that I had to deal with was whether I had enough crayons or if I could color inside
of the lines. My mom died when I was about three. At that time, I could read, but
they were always simple books. It wasn t until later, about age ten, that reading
gave me hope. Once I was old enough to come to terms with what happened to my
mom, I started to grieve. When you re young and something traumatic happens, it

The Marketing Environment For REI
The marketing environment for REI is immensely complicated. While some aspects
of marketing, including price, promotion, product and place is within the company s
controls, other external factors are not. Factors external to REI s control include local

Major elements of the U.S. economy affecting REI s retail operations include
consumer confidence, interest rates, and inflation. All three elements either stimulate
or depress consumer spending. Low consumer confidence, high interest rates, or
rising inflaction, place pressure on companies to lower prices, which has a negative

rapid growth of the music industry, which have improved markets over the cyber

their competitors. Thus, in all Apple products benefitted from the social aspects as it
has started defining a modern individual lifestyle.
Technological Factors:
The product research and development field is a basic yet crucial requirement to
survive in the consumer electronic industry. This is also mainly the reason that
propels Apple Inc. to invest in the particular field, allowing Apple products to be at
the top of new innovative products. Technology has been making huge leaps in
improvement and the market has grown in size which leads to even more
competitors, thus involving technical changes and reducing the product life cycle
significantly. This enables Apple Inc. to constantly present newer products and
therefore lead the market.

Brenau University Student Essay
For nearly 138 years, Brenau University has continued to uphold its slogan
Extraordinary Lives. When I first stepped foot on Brenau s campus in 2012, I
wouldn t have fathomed that four years later, this institution would shape me into the
successful woman I am today. Prior to attending Brenau, I had always struggled with
understanding who I was and where I belonged. Once I became a studentat Brenau, I
began to join organizations such as Student Activities Board and Student
Government Association, and consequently, I have reached a social and academic
success peak I never believed I would be able to achieve. If you are a first year college
student or are transferring to a different institution, I advise you to take Brenau
Universityinto consideration.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The perimeter of Brenau is a mile long and many times, a car is not needed to get
from one location to the other on campus. In addition to the small campus size,
Brenau offers a wide variety of accessible and free resources that will help you
achieve your complete academic success and the best thing about these resources
is that they are all within walking distance of each other. These academic resources
are free of charge, and the people who work in each center are eager to help you
succeed. These resources include the Math and Science SPA (Student Place for
Achievement), the Learning Center, and the Writing Center. If you are struggling
in a Math or a Science course, go to the Math and Science SPA and a tutor will help
you out. I can guarantee that after a few consistent sessions with a tutor in this
center, you will do well in your Math and Science courses. In addition to the SPA,
Brenau offers the Learning Center. The Learning Center is another useful resource
for students who require extra help on tests and quizzes. This center is designed for
students to go and sit in a room by themselves and take their assessments
independently, that way they are not experiencing test anxiety as opposed to
completing an assessment in a classroom full of students. Lastly, the Writing Center
is located in the Brenau Trustee Library and just as the Math
Robert Goddard and the Rocket
Over time, some of the simplest rockets and other space inventions have become
even more elaborate. In 1232, the first rockets were used by the Chinese and the
Mongols while experimenting with their creation of gunpowder. ( Rocket History.
N.p., n.d. Web. 9 May 2014.) Rockets were also tossed around with for fireworks
and for the war between the Chinese and the Mongols. ( RocketHistory. N.p., n.d.
Web. 9 May 2014.) They built and fired rockets with gunpowder combustion
chambers. Other rocket like devices have appeared throughout history in different
cultures. Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, a Russian school teacher, produced the idea of
using rockets for better things like space travel. ( Rocket History. Rocket History.
N.p., n.d. Web. 9 May 2014.) However, Robert H. Goddard, born October 5, 1882,
was the first to ever launch a liquid fueled rocket and is recognized for his hard work
and discoveries to this day. ( When was the first rocket invented? | Space Facts
– Astronomy, the Solar System Outer Space | All About Space Magazine. )
Though there were a plethora of incredible inventions of the twentieth century, the
rocket has seemed to be the most remarkable. At the root of all inventions, behind the
nuts and bolts, the mathematical formulas and laws of physics, lies imagination.
(Aaseng, Nathan. Robert Goddard the Rocket. ) Robert Goddard used his imagination
to create the rocket and other technology before actual building it. (Aaseng, Nathan.

Changes In The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
In the Middle East, the Israeli Palestinian conflict has been one of the most
controversial conflicts in modern history, dating back to when the region was
dominated by British rule. Beginning long before the formation of the state of
Israel in 1948, Israel and Palestine have clashed over who can claim the holy land.
The Israelis believe that they should solely have possession of the holy land, being a
gift from God to Abraham to Isaac, according to the Bible. Contradicting the Israelis,
the Palestinians believe the holy land was given to Ishmael from Abraham, who is an
ancestor to the Muslim people. From 1914 to modern times, Israelhas underwent
positive changes between the Israelis and Palestinians through the formation of

As the Nazis began killing Jews by the mass in Europe, Jews starting fleeing to
Palestine in large numbers. Jewish armed groups began emerging in Palestine,
fighting British authorities in pursuit of an independent Israeli state. The fighting
in Palestine led to the United Nations dividing Palestine into Jewish and Arab
states in 1947. In less than a year, the British mandate ended and Israel declared
independence. Beginning in 1948, the first Arab Israeli war occurred and Israel
gained more land than expected, including western Jerusalem. This war resulted in
about two thirds of the 1.2 million Arabs living in Palestine to flee the country. One
major change occurring in Israel in 1956 was the reopening of the Suez Canal.
Israel, along with Britain and France, invaded Europe in the Suez Crisis, opening
back up shipping into Israel. In 1957, Israel with the help of France, began the
construction of a large nuclear reactor, which became the basis of the country s
unconfirmed nuclear weapons program. In 1962, Israel began relations with
President John F. Kennedy and the United States, who sold missiles to Israel. As the
independent state of Israel began gaining power, they launched an attack on Egypt
because the Straits of Tiran were closed, ending shipping from
Senior Management Retreat
I was tasked with developing an agenda topics for the Senior Management retreat to
be held on May 31, 2016. In order to identify the topics for discussion I needed to
identify what was the current state of the company s profitability and what the
company is doing to be a socially responsible organization.
First, I completed a thorough review of the company s current business practices and
conducted several focus groups with employees to discuss their top five ideas and
suggestions for improving their productivity, commitment to the company and overall
job satisfaction. The results of these activities produced several areas of focus

Several responses indicated that they felt ill prepared to provide a high level of
productivity. Particularly when they first joined the company. Still others indicated
they felt that they had limited opportunities for career advancement. As a result of
this employees become frustrated and either leave the company or if they stay
become increasingly frustrated, which can result in lost productivity and poor
performance. Which will eventually lead to less than stellar product development and
ultimately a loss in revenue.
By implementing a training program for new staff, can start their jobs with some
idea of what they re supposed to do and how to do it (Section 7. Developing Training
Programs for Staff, n.d.) Additionally, it can show new employees the company is
serious about what it does, and therefore encourage them to be serious about it, too. A
solid training program can also significantly reduce mistakes that cost the
organization loss of revenue, production times, and the reputation of their products
(Section 7. Developing Training Programs for Staff, n.d.)
For existing employees a training program also has numerous benefits: It will help
them to continually improve their knowledge, skill sets and keep them fully engaged
in their work.
For all of the reasons I ve detailed I believe the implementation of these ideas will
result is improving employee morale, productivity, loyalty
The Movie Crash
The movie, Crash is a 3 time Academy Award Winner with an all star cast consisting
of Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon, Don Cheadle and many others. However the one
character that spoke most to me is the Persian man named Farhad who is acted by
Shaun Toub. The movie introduced Farhad in the beginning of the movie as a Persian
man with his adult daughter buying a gunat a gun shop but having difficulty due to
racism. Throughout the movie we see Farhad struggling with racism directed
towards him and how he fuels this anger towards others. The entire theme of the
movie is centered on racism, it focused on how racism is prevalent in life daily and
cannot be avoided yet everyone should treat others with an open mind and respect.
Farhad is presented in the first scene having difficulty understanding English and
speaking it fluently. He enters the shop with his daughter Dorri who is a doctor at a
hospital and speaks fluent English thus provides as a translator for her father. While
the daughter is conversing with her father in Farsi, national language of Persia, the
shopkeeper automatically associate them as being Arabs. The common stereotypeis
that Arabs are terrorists because of the incident in regards to 9/11. The shopkeeper
goes as far as to say, Yo, Osama! Plan the jihad on your own time. What do you
want? This further begins with prejudice and reaffirming the antagonism white
privileged Americans act towards Middle Easterners or others similar color/race. This
movie takes
Article Review Essay
Jeff Feiertag, Zane L. Berge, (2008) Training Generation N: how educators should
approach the Net Generation , Education + Training, Vol. 50 Iss: 6, pp.457 464 The
authors of this article were focusing on the generational differences between the
generations now and previous generations. The authors explain that they think that
the graduates today are as technologically advanced as they should be. They believe
the answer is adult learning theory and they would try to use this method to avoid
using technology. Berge and Feiertag also state that this generation is so dependent on
technology that without it, we would be lost. Generation N is narrowly focused on
the United States, using these examples but goes to state that it is known... Show

It is important to enhance our understanding in adulthood learning because not
everyone was born into the digital universe. Also, the authors talk about learning in
the classrooms being relatively different than it was before, some teachers don t use
the classroom at all and lecture online. Article also points around the Internet as a
whole being some sort of teacher, Google for example. Google spits out about any
kind of information that you may need. These authors also go on to state that older
generations aren t really that worried about the advance in technology and that they
are more focused on the news and literature than the internet boom . But that the
televisions are aiming towards trying to get their viewers more involved in the
internet. I don t think that classrooms will become completely technology dependent
and I feel like that is what the authors are trying to hint at. I do think that our
generation has become dependent on technology but I disagree that everyone has to
learn it. I think that it is important that adults learn this new way of living in a sense,
but I do not believe that it should be a necessity. The authors also say that society as
a whole is turning into technology, I disagree. Although technology has become
almost the basis of everything (the reading mentioned banks), there is still the old
school way of doing things and there are some
The Irony Of The Sinner
While traveling through Hell, Dante the pilgrim encountered numerous sinners on
each level, all prepared to tell their tales of misfortune and transgression. However,
though some ask Dante to remember them or tell their stories on Earth, most of them
speak for their own gain, not simply to educate Dante on the penalties of their sins.
Each sinner appears to wallow in the past, isolating themselves in their sinand
occasionally ignoring Dante as a person entirely. Even when these sinners find
themselves physically trapped together with another soul, they remain lonely and
miserable in their suffering: they have deprived themselves of the forgiveness and
love God offered them and now must find something else to love. As they have
rejected God, these sinners still seek to fill that void of emptiness to which they have
forever condemned themselves. In Dante Alighieri s Inferno, the irony of the sinner s
contrappaso reflects the irony that, even in the suffering they have brought upon
themselves, they have a misplaced love in their sin in place of the love God offered
them.
In Canto V, Dante encounters the Francesca and Paulo, who have thrown away their
chance for heaven for one another, yet enjoyed the action of sinning itself more then
each other s company. As soon as Dante the pilgrim comes upon the pair, Francesca
relates the tale of their sin, explaining how this one, who never shall be parted from
me, while all his body trembled, kissed my mouth....that day we read no
Consequences Of Cultural Influences Within A Dynamic...
Dynamic social impact theory considers the consequences of cultural influences
within a dynamic systems framework. Interpersonal communication results in arise
of distinctive shared beliefs and norms within a population. Dynamic Social impact
theory is in action when neighboring individual influences each other on different
aspects, such as beliefs and behaviors. In my opinion, we have the power of
persuade or influence each other on religious, beliefs and values, like the Dynamic
Social Impact Theory states, but it doesn t have to be in a close proximity.
As stated in reading materials, the emergence of culture is a sort of adaption that is
extraordinary and highly flexible. Cultural behavior is multidetermined and is likely a

The act is committed intentionally with the objective of creating interruptions that disrupt the normal functioning of the system. Computer users feel the harm directly or through a second party depending on the nature of the tool used in committing the crime (Hull and Sivanesar, 2013, p 98). Our group performs Christian culture music and it was my first time I ever sang for church. I had a wonderful privilege to learn about Christian culture after I became a part of this group. It was at the Wesleyan Singers Director s church named First United Methodist Church. There were lots of people but none of them were teenagers, we could only see old spiritual people and a very few children. This was my first time ever being inside a church and being a part of the choir that was going to perform felt like a great privilege. The church service was to start at 11 a.m. and we reached the church around 10:20 a.m. As we walked inside the church I was fascinated by the size and beauty of it. It was a big church with beautiful decorated stained glass like we see in cathedrals and a wonderful music room. This first thing that amazed me was the size of the sanctuary. In Nepal we have small temples where people go to pray and worship various deities. The sanctuary could probably seat more than five hundred people. I felt like I was in an auditorium and about to perform my solo in front of these people. The part

Exile, the reality and practice of being barred from a native country, has prolifically influenced many philosophers theoretical writings. Indeed, Julia Kristeva being in exile from her native Bulgaria is a foreigner in an unascertained land. Being an outcast influence s her philosophical, political and sociological extended essay Strangers to Ourselves published in 1991. The book addresses a problem that Kristeva has experienced first hand: the struggle of being a foreigner in Western culture and the difficulties that people and nations have with treating foreigners residing in their motherland. Jealousy drives our nationalist temperaments and Kristeva explores the figure of the unconscious foreigner in all of us. Strangers to Ourselves draws on the difficulty that natives have in accepting the stranger within and if we can come to terms with this notion. The exile is often a foreigner in an unfamiliar place or a foreigner repressed within the native s unconscious, however a feeling of strangeness can also occur through an exclusion from the hegemonic rationalism of modern society (Lechte: 79). There are at least two other forms of exile that can produce the foreign ness in us: being an exile as a way to thrive intellectually and imaginatively and being alienated as a woman. Historically and in the contemporary world, natives incite prejudice onto

The variables are taken into consideration when creating a theory. Intervening variables is important when developing theories because the ideas allow the researchers to explain the relationship between independent and dependent variables. If the test is inaccurate and the hypothesis proves to be false, the testing process will be repeated and once accurate a theory is formed. Research is a trial and error process. The Scientific Theory Construction and Testing is an important research process. The first step is to introduce the theory. The second step is to develop a hypothesis used to explain the theory. The third step to conduct an experiment used to approve or disprove the hypothesis. Once the process is confirmed and hypothesis is proved to be valid, a theory is formed. Researchers evaluate theories by judging the

The committee should also enhance the disclosure of the components of regulatory capital in order to increase transparency within the system and avoid confusion in terms of the quality of capital required. (2) The Basel Committee should make adjustments to their framework to inhibit excessive cyclicality of the minimum capital requirements The Basel Committee has made a reasonable effort to mitigate this cyclicality already, by monitoring the impact of cyclicality through data collection (via their Capital Monitoring Group). This data is available every 6 months, and helps the committee monitor the extent to which the capital regime reveals excessively high levels of capital cyclicality. In correspondence with this data monitoring, the Basel Committee must review the ways in which cyclicality, arising from the Pillar 1 capital requirement calculation, can be abated. They must try and maintain the risk sensitivity of the inputs, but also create an emphasis on dampening the effects of cyclicality on the outputs. This way the

With England torn apart by religious unrest brought about by Henry VIII, Edward VI, and Mary I, Elizabeth I employed a pragmatic plan during the 1500s in order to bring about peace. Since she was the daughter of Henry VIII s sister, Mary held a legitimate claim to the throne after Elizabeth. In fact, many Catholics saw Henry s second marriage to Anne Boleyn as improper, making Mary the more fitting queen for England (Sifakis 1). Seeing opportunity in this woman who had no intention of altering her faith, the Catholics plotted to place her on the English throne (Black 68). They took part in many failed assassination plots on Elizabeth, one of them being the Babington Plot of 1586. This nefarious plan held Mary s controversial involvement, leading to her trial, conviction, and execution (Sifakis 2). With a resolve to end the threats to her regime, Elizabeth ended her cousin s life through a beheading (Spielvogel 408). Both Elizabeth s decision to get rid of Mary and the construction of religious compromise were Machiavellian because of her pragmatic way of thinking to ensure a successful reign. Elizabeth s religious settlement was practical because it ignored moral values, displaying itself as a Machiavellian plan. By creating an Anglican religion based on compromise,

The mucous metaplasia is caused by production and storage of mucins increasing in secretory cells and club cells. MUC5B and MUC5AC are types of bronchial epithelial cells mRNA which help mucous clearing and protect against airway infection. This has been thought to be a major player in airway problems in asthma. IL 13 binding causes mucous metaplasia. This is caused by the binding of IL 13 which leads to Jak kinases activation and then phosphorylation of transducer and then STAT6. This STAT6 pathway deals with calcium activated chloride channel one which is also known as CLCA1 and is the gene related to the airway epithelial cells. In asthma, however, this channel doesn t function as it normal function which is an ion channel but goes through secretion and cleavage. This channel can induce MUC5AC through MAP kinase MAPk13. The inflammation aspect of asthma occurs from a cascade of events usually is a type 2 inflammation dealing with types of CD4+ T cells like Th2 cells. This pathway deals with a lot of mediators that cause inflammation, IgE, mucosal surfaces, smooth muscles, and mast cells. Changes In The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict In the Middle East, the Israeli Palestinian conflict has been one of the most controversial conflicts in modern history, dating back to when the region was dominated by British rule. Beginning long before the formation of the state of Israel in 1948, Israel and Palestine have clashed over who can claim the holy land. The Israelis believe that they should solely have possession of the holy land, being a gift from God to Abraham to Isaac, according to the Bible. Contradicting the Israelis, the Palestinians believe the holy land was given to Ishmael from Abraham, who is an ancestor to the Muslim people. Jewish armed groups began emerging in Palestine, fighting British authorities in pursuit of an independent Israeli state. The fighting in Palestine led to the United Nations dividing Palestine into Jewish and Arab states in 1947. In less than a year, the British mandate ended and Israel declared independence. Beginning in 1948, the first Arab Israeli war occurred and Israel gained more land than expected, including western Jerusalem. This war resulted in about two thirds of the 1.2 million Arabs living in Palestine to flee the country. One major change occurring in Israel in 1956 was the reopening of the Suez Canal. Israel, along with Britain and France, invaded Europe in the Suez Crisis, opening back up shipping into Israel. In 1957, Israel with the help of France, began the construction of a large nuclear reactor, which became the basis of the country s unconfirmed nuclear weapons program. In order to identify the topics for discussion I needed to identify what was the current state of the company s profitability and what the company is doing to be a socially responsible organization. First, I completed a thorough review of the company s current business practices and conducted several focus groups with employees to discuss their top five ideas and suggestions for improving their productivity, commitment to the company and overall job satisfaction. The results of these activities produced several areas of focus SmartShoes senior management team should look at. Below is a list of the topics as well as my rationale ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Several responses indicated that they felt ill prepared to provide a high level of productivity. Particularly when they first joined the company. Still others indicated they felt that they had limited opportunities for career advancement. As a result of this employees become frustrated and either leave the company or if they stay become increasingly frustrated, which can result in lost productivity and poor performance. Which will eventually lead to less than stellar product development and ultimately a loss in revenue. By implementing a training program for new staff, can start their jobs with some idea of what they re supposed to do and how to do it (Section 7. Developing Training Programs for Staff, n.d.) Additionally, it can show new employees the company is serious about what it does, and therefore encourage them to be serious about it, too. A solid training program can also significantly reduce mistakes that cost the organization loss of revenue, production times, and the reputation of their products (Section 7. Developing Training Programs for Staff, n.d.) For existing employees a training program also has numerous benefits: It will help them to continually improve their knowledge, skill sets and keep them fully engaged in their work. For all of the reasons I ve detailed I believe the implementation of these ideas will result is improving employee morale, productivity, loyalty

However the one character that spoke most to me is the Persian man named Farhad who is acted by Shaun Toub. The movie introduced Farhad in the beginning of the movie as a Persian man with his adult daughter buying a gunat a gun shop but having difficulty due to racism. Throughout the movie we see Farhad struggling with racism directed towards him and how he fuels this anger towards others. The entire theme of the movie is centered on racism, it focused on how racism is prevalent in life daily and cannot be avoided yet everyone should treat others with an open mind and respect. Farhad is presented in the first scene having difficulty understanding English and speaking it fluently. He enters the shop with his daughter Dorri who is a doctor at a hospital and speaks fluent English thus provides as a translator for her father. While the daughter is conversing with her father in Farsi, national language of Persia, the shopkeeper automatically associate them as being Arabs. The common stereotypeis that Arabs are terrorists because of the incident in regards to 9/11. The shopkeeper goes as far as to say, Yo, Osama! Plan the jihad on your own time. What do you want? This further begins with prejudice and reaffirming the antagonism white privileged Americans act towards Middle Easterners or others similar color/race. This movie takes

Berge, (2008) Training Generation N: how educators should approach the Net Generation , Education + Training, Vol. 50 Iss: 6, pp.457 464 The authors of this article were focusing on the generational differences between the generations now and previous generations. The authors explain that they think that the graduates today are as technologically advanced as they should be. They believe the answer is adult learning theory and they would try to use this method to avoid using technology. Berge and Feiertag also state that this generation is so dependent on technology that without it, we would be lost. It is important to enhance our understanding in adulthood learning because not everyone was born into the digital universe. Also, the authors talk about learning in the classrooms being relatively different than it was before, some teachers don t use the classroom at all and lecture online. Article also points around the Internet as a whole being some sort of teacher, Google for example. Google spits out about any kind of information that you may need. These authors also go on to state that older generations aren t really that worried about the advance in technology and that they are more focused on the news and literature than the internet boom . But that the televisions are aiming towards trying to get their viewers more involved in the internet. I don t think that classrooms will become completely technology dependent and I feel like that is what the authors are trying to hint at. I do think that our generation has become dependent on technology but I disagree that everyone has to learn it. I think that it is important that adults learn this new way of living in a sense, but I do not believe that it should be a necessity. The authors also say that society as a whole is turning into technology, I disagree. Although technology has become almost the basis of everything (the reading mentioned banks), there is still the old school way of doing things and there are some

However, though some ask Dante to remember them or tell their stories on Earth, most of them speak for their own gain, not simply to educate Dante on the penalties of their sins. Each sinner appears to wallow in the past, isolating themselves in their sinand occasionally ignoring Dante as a person entirely. Even when these sinners find themselves physically trapped together with another soul, they remain lonely and miserable in their suffering: they have deprived themselves of the forgiveness and love God offered them and now must find something else to love. As they have rejected God, these sinners still seek to fill that void of emptiness to which they have forever condemned themselves. In Dante Alighieri s Inferno, the irony of the sinner s contrappaso reflects the irony that, even in the suffering they have brought upon themselves, they have a misplaced love in their sin in place of the love God offered them. In Canto V, Dante encounters the Francesca and Paulo, who have thrown away their chance for heaven for one another, yet enjoyed the action of sinning itself more then each other s company. As soon as Dante the pilgrim comes upon the pair, Francesca relates the tale of their sin, explaining how this one, who never shall be parted from me, while all his body trembled, kissed my mouth....that day we read no
