Evolution of ict, networking , and types

Information and communication technologies have evolved over four main ages from premechanical to electronic. A computer network connects computers using common communication protocols to share digital resources. There are four main types of networks defined by size: personal area networks for an individual's devices, local area networks for a building, wide area networks connecting multiple local networks, and metropolitan area networks spanning a metropolitan region.
