Types Of Convergence
Digital convergence is mainly driven by Telecommunication , IT ,Internet ,Media and Entertainment industries . It is based on digital technologies and digitized content. Digital convergence refers to the convergence of various types of data i.e. text , voice , video , graphics into digital form.
Messaging convergence refers to the grouping of services that integrates SMS with voice. Examples of this are Voice SMS ,Spin Vox , IVR , MMS and many more. This convergence is mainly helpful for call centres , media companies , broadcasters . Some operators have launched services that combine SMS with Mobile Instant Messaging
