Everyman is a late 15th century English morality play that uses allegory to confront the universal human fear of death. In the play, Death summons Everyman and tells him he must take a journey. Everyman seeks companions to accompany him, but is abandoned by Fellowship, Kindred, and other allegorical figures. Only Good Deeds agrees to join him.
