Today, all personal computers incorporate a version of the mouse-driven graphical user interface that Jobs perfected and popularized. The guiding spirit behind the Macintosh computer, iPod, iPad, iPhone and iTunes, Jobs is an American corporate legend. Few people worked more closely with him than Jay Elliot, a former senior vice president at Apple. In this business biography, written before Jobs died, Elliot and co-author William L. Simon detail
Jobs’s corporate achievements, his attention to product detail and his visionary leadership. Their revealing profile to those compelled by or curious about the genius of Jobs.

The Innovation Pyramid & Nespresso.
Using the newly developed Innovation Pyramid, Christian Rangen looks two radically different business models for coffee in the Norwegian consumer market. Friele, well-established with leading market share vs. Nespresso radical innovations across the business spectrum. Using the nine steps in the Innovation Pyramid, Christian shows how Nespresso is rapidly closing the gap by using radical innovation.

We all know huge tech companies suffering from Red Giant Syndrome: Yahoo!, Research In Motion, AOL, Nokia. Companies, once dominant in their markets, that continue to sell a huge number of products and services yet are losing consumers and customers at an alarming rate. Barring radical change, each is bound to collapse within a few years.
We call this situation Red Giant Syndrome. The term, borrowed from astronomy, originally refers to when a star exhausts the supply of hydrogen that has sustained it for millions of years and begins gobble up any bits of matter it can convert into fuel to sustain its existence. Consequently, they grow to hundreds of times their original volume while dramatically dropping in density. Over time, this imbalance leads to collapse.
