This document presents an analytical solution to soil steady-state evaporation, detailing the impact of water table depth on evaporation rates. It distinguishes between two phases based on whether the water table is shallower or deeper than the maximum drying front, using mathematical models such as Darcy's law and the Brooks-Corey function. Results indicate a significant decrease in evaporation rates when the water table is deeper than the drying front due to hydraulic discontinuity.
