The document discusses the use of various new media technologies throughout the stages of a film production project. Websites like Prezzi, YouTube, and Mahara were used for research, planning, sharing work, and collecting audience feedback. Software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Final Cut Pro were used for editing posters, magazines, and video. Hardware like Macs, cameras, microphones, and reflectors were used for filming, audio recording, and lighting.

This presentation provides a briefing on how to upload submissions and documents in Google Classroom. It was prepared as part of an orientation for new Sainik School in-service teacher trainees. As a training officer, my goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and proficient with this essential tool for managing assignments and fostering student engagement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

1. How did you use
new media
technologies in the
construction and
research, planning
and evaluation
stages?
2. WEBSITES
I used prezzi throughout my work
because how simple it is to use. I also
used it because of the way in which a
person can interact with the site I used it
for my genre research and for my
evaluation and it was good to use for the
fact that it was very easy to understand
and edit in the way that I wanted to
I used youtube in order to share videos so
that it can be readily and easily accessed by
viewers. It was exceptionally helpful in
organising our work because we knew it
was on youtube and all members of our
group could access it in order to post it onto
their journal. It was also helpful because
from the comments on our videos we were
able to gather the bulk of our audience
feedback from the comments. Using
youtube we were able to post our animatic
on youtube ,rough cut and final teaser trailer
on the website
When researching potential
demographics for our target audience we
used The Pearl and Dean website as a
way to do so. It enabled us to research
different films as well as genres to be
able to see who would be the most
suitable target audience for our film. We
mainly looked at teen films and musical
films to be able to understand who their
target audience was because that was
the type of film we were trying to create
Office 365 was also another website that we
used, it allowed us to share files with one
another in our group and helped us to
communicate better with one another. For
example, it was really vital in sending the
storyboards to each other in our group as
well as other images such as the test shots.
Similarly it was useful in sending each other
the magazine and poster if one of us
needed it for a specific task
3. WEBSITES
Slideshare was also an
important website which we
used to share presentations
onto our journal. Rather than
using a link it allowed us to
upload presentations to the
website and acquire an
embeddable version to be
able to post into on journal on
Mahara.
Mahara was were we kept the bulk of our work
on. It allowed me to record the continuous work I
did over the A2 course. It also allowed me to
keep my work in chronological order so that all
my work was in an organised way. Similarly with
slideshare it allowed me to embed videos onto
the site so that my work could be more visual for
the reader. For example, i was able to embed
the rough cut, and final teaser trailer to Mahara
due to this feature
Free sound music was a site we
used after we gained feedback from
the rough cut screening. It allowed
us to look for music and sound in
order to use it in our teaser trailer.
The website allowed us to
categorise different music which
enabled to be more specific in our
search to look for music which was
more specific for our genre. We had
to look at free sound music because
it allowed us to use copyright free
music whereas other websites have
music which are not copyright free
which would not be available for us
to use.
4. SoftwareFinal cut pro was one of the
softwares that we used
predominantly in the post
production stage. We used it to
upload our clips from the
Canon camera which we used
to film. After that we were able
to edit it in final cut pro. It also
allowed us to add effects to the
clips and manipulate the sound
and audio if it needed to be.
Final cut pro was also useful in
saving our work automatically
so that we could come back to
the software at any time in
order to edit the clips further.
We used in Photoshop mostly in the planning
stages but used it a little bit in the post
production stage. Before we were introduced
to the Adobe illustrator we used photoshop to
create the draft versions of our our poster
and magazine.Due to the quality of the
image from our test shots in was much
harder to remove the background from the
image when we first used photoshop. When
it came to post production it was easier for us
to be able to remove the background from
the character but there was some parts of
images, for example within the hair it was
hard for us to remove it from the background
in photoshop which is why illustrator was
much better in doing so
5. Software
Adobe illustrator was the software that I used
throughout the post production stage in order
to edit the magazine cover and the poster. It
allowed us to add text to the pictures to make
it look more like a poster and magazine. As
well as that it allowed us to add effects onto
the two different products to add some
different dimension to the products and to
make them look less simple and to stand out
less For example adding a drop shadow and
glow to some of the picture and words and
changing the opacity on some parts of the
products. From using illustrator we were also
enabled to create a billing block so that the
poster would look like a conventional poster.
On illustrator I also played around with the
size of the page so that it would look the
most similar to a real magazine cover as
possible to again make the cover as
conventional to real media example as
possible.
6. Hardware
We used the Apple Mac’s in college in order to
research, plan and execute our final products. The
Mac was the hardware which stored, photoshop,
illustrator and final cut pro and was a vital necessity
all throughout the A2 course. Without the Mac we
would have not been able to executed our final three
products to a high standard because of the features
it housed and the features it helped us to be utilise.
The iphone is what we used in the first stages of our production
because it allowed us to take our test shots and was useful in taking
pictures of the locations we were going to film at for our location
reccee. It also allowed us to communicate on filming day so we
could be organised and be on time to every location that we were
going to film at. We created a group chat in order to stay connected
and was especially important in sharing ideas as well as knowing
where everyone was after lunch on filming day.
From the feedback given
from the rough cut about the
audio not being as clear and
loud enough we decided to
record them again and layer
them on to of the clips and
position them in the right
place to make it look as
though it was the original
audio being used. To do this
we went to a recording
studio in castlefield to record
our audio using a
microphone and macbook.
Before recording were
shown how to do it to be
able to get the best possible
audio and after this it was
exported and then imported
into our Mac to be able to
edit in final cut pro.
7. Hardware
On filming day we were giving a new camera, a
different one to the previous year, the Canon 80D.
We used the asterix in order to stabilise the shots we
were going to film and this became increasingly
important when we were using hand held movement
for example at the beginning of the teaser trailer.
Also it enabled the shots not to be over exposed or
under exposed which would cause a problem when
we went to edit later in final cut pro. The camera also
had automatic focus which was much better for us
as it was less likely for the shot to lose focus which
would have caused a major problem when we went
to edit later on. The camera also had 1080/60p video
capture which allowed our footage to be of a higher
standard and give it more of that cinematic feel and
atmosphere. The touchscreen also had the ability to
move so for example we could flip the touch screen
around to see what the footage looked like as we
were acting.
The reflector that were given was also important on
filming day as it allowed us to capture and utilise all
the light that was available to us. In some areas
where were filming such as in the county building the
area wasn’t well lit as we had hoped so we had to
use the reflector in order to add more light to the
shot. We also had to position ourselves underneath
a fluorescent light in order use that light and bring
more light to the actors faces. For example in the
screengrab above we had to really use the reflector
at this moment in order to add more light to the
actors faces
