Question 1
In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
•(initial thoughts) For this question I have decided to do this in
the form of either a Prezi, PowerPoint or a standard blog post.
•All of these forms would be ideal as I would be able to easily
insert all of the relevant information which would be needed for
this question as well as Photos, screen grabs, etc. but I intend on
using a PowerPoint to present this question as I am more familiar
with the software.
Question 2
How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
•(initial thoughts) For this question I have decided to do a
Podcast or a v/blog.
•A podcast would be a good choice to use for this question as I
would be able to explain how my product represents the
particular social groups which I chose verbally as there isn’t
anything which really needs to be visually shown.
Question 3
What kind of media institution might distribute your media
product and why?
•(initial thoughts) For question 3 I have chosen to do either a
Prezi or a ‘making of’ documentary.
•A prezi would be an ideal platform to use for answering this
question as it would have a different style compared to a
PowerPoint and helps to give a variance to the ways which I
present my answers.
Question 4
Who would be the audience for your media product?
•(initial thoughts) For question 4 I am planning on either doing a
Podcast, a PowerPoint or a blog.
•For this question I think that it would be best to present it in the
form of a blog entry as this is something which I have not
planned to do in any of the other questions and would be
different from doing another PowerPoint.
Question 5
How did you attract/ address your audience?
•(initial thoughts) For this question I have decided to do either a
PowerPoint or a group discussion.
•This question I am going to do it in the form of a PowerPoint as I
feel like I would be able to easily put in all of the relevant
information needed including quotes from people within my
target audience and methods which I used to attract my
audience.
Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
•(initial thoughts) This question I have decided to do in the
format of either a Podcast or a ‘making of’ documentary.
•A ‘making of’ documentary would be ideal for this question as I
would be able to show what technologies I have used for
constructing my product and how important they are for the
production of a film.
Question 7
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you think you
have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
•(initial thoughts) For the final question I have decided to it in the
form of either a directors commentary, a PowerPoint, a podcast
or a standard blog.
•For the final question I think that it would be good to do a
directors commentary as I would be able to look over the work
which I have done in my preliminary tasks and how I have
progressed from the very first task.
