- 2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?
- 3. Title I made a conscious effort to ensure that there was continuity and synergy between my media products. I want to be sure that there was a clear indication that my pieces of work could be identified as a collection of products. I used the same title for my product across all three of my media products, I used it to introduce my documentary extract, to identify and advertise my documentary on my tv guide listing and also I made reference to the title in my radio trailer. Are You A Feminist? I chose my title to be a question as I felt it would appeal to an audience who wish to answer this question. By repeating this question as my title I am engaging my audience and forcing them to consider the question.

- 5. Actors In my main task I had a selection of actors who were my interviewees. I found that to create synergy and continuity between my documentary extract and tv guide listing I could include a picture of one of my actors (see left). I found that this created a connection to my documentary and would make the actor recognisable from print to moving image. The picture I used was one of my interviewee Pat when she met Helen Pankhurst, granddaughter of the famous suffragette Emmeline.
- 6. BBC In my three tasks I continuously referenced the BBC as a broadcasting institution. I chose BBC to host my documentary and for my radio trailer to be advertised on BBC Radio 1. I ensured that I was able to use cross media reference to the BBC through each of the modes that they distribute media texts: BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 1 and BBC One.
- 7. Release Date I maintained continuity through my ancillary tasks through the use of release date and time. I have shown in one product that the programme will be shown on BBC 1 at 8.00pm and in my radio trailer I ensured that I mentioned the day of showing for my documentary extract and the channel it was being shown on.
