2. SHOT-REVERSE SHOT
• For my preliminary task, I
used shot-reverse shot to
show a conversation
between two people. It
shows the perspective of
the people involved in the
conversation.
• For my film opening, I did
not use shot reverse shot
because no conversations
took place. There was only
parts of the antagonist
reading from his
perspective.

3. 180 DEGREES RULE
• Another rule which I had
to implicate in my
preliminary task was to
use the 180 degree rule,
which was when the
camera had to stay on
one side of a character
in a scene so it doesn’t
confuse the audience.
• I succeeded in using
the 180 degrees rule in
my film opening which
meant that I didn’t
confuse the audience.

4. MATCH ON ACTION SHOT
• The match on action shot is
used to show the flow of
movement from one scene
to another. It shows the
angle of the scene,
whether it is from the
person’s perspective or a
close up shot, for example.
• I also did not use the match on
action shot because I didn’t
have any of my characters
walking in different types of
areas. I had my characters
already in key scenes, and the
match on action shot wouldn’t
fit in with the rest of the film
opening if I did use it.
