From constructing a music magazine, the author learned to use several technologies including photo editing programs like Photoshop. They learned how to use tools in Photoshop to edit images, remove backgrounds, and insert images into other images. They also learned how to use websites like Slideshare and Blogger, and how to embed presentations on blogs using HTML. Additionally, they learned shortcuts and features of Mac computers. Overall, the author gained skills in photo editing, website use, blogging, and magazine design through completing this project.

0x01 - Newton's Third Law: Static vs. Dynamic AbusersOWASP Beja
f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. Be it an API, a SaaS, a PaaS, or even a static website, someone somewhere will try to figure out a way to use it to their own needs. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.

Evaluation question 6
1. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT
ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM
THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING THIS
PRODUCT?
2. From constructing my music magazine, I have learnt a lot about other
technologies. I have learnt how to use editing programs such as photo-shop
to edit images for my magazine, something I did not know how to use before
the process of constructing my final music magazine. I learnt how to use the
different tools on photo-shop to edit images. I used the ‘magic wand’ tool to
remove the coloured background from images and writing, which was the
main feature I used when making my magazine. I learnt how to remove parts
of images and how to insert different images onto others using different
layers. I learnt how to change the colours of the images using photo-shop
and how to put writing behind parts of images, even though I did not use this
for my final magazine. During the process I learnt a lot about photo-shop. On
the preliminary task I did not know how to remove the background from text
or edit the images, so it looked very un professional, but since then I have
learnt how to use photo-shop well to create a magazine of a higher standard.
3. I have learnt how to use Slideshare to upload my presentations to
my blog. Slideshare is a website connected to Linkedin which allows
you to upload your presentations and embed them onto other
websites. From learning how to use Slideshare, and similar websites
such as Prezzi, I have also learnt how to embed presentations onto
my blog using HTML coding. This has allowed me to embed not only
my presentations, but also my Pinterest boards onto my blog and on
other websites in the future.
4. I have learnt how to use Mac computers while constructing my
product. I am not an expert on how Mac computers work and am
used to more basic computers, so using the Mac computers for
programs like photo-shop has taught me short cuts on these
computers. For example, I have learnt that by pressing the space
bar at the same time as the ‘cmd’ button it brings up the
spotlight search making it quick and easy to find what you are
looking for. Another example is the button that allows you to
see all of the tabs and windows that you have open, while also
giving you the opportunity to change the order they go in. This
makes it really easy for you to flick between different windows
that are open, making working with multiple windows quick and
efficient.
5. I have learnt how to use the site Blogger whilst constructing my
final magazine. I have learnt firstly how to create the blog using a
template and creating my own template. I have learnt from this how
to create a layout that is easy for readers to read and find the
information they are looking for. I have learnt how to insert images
onto a blog, how to change the colour scheme, theme, fonts, and
margins so that it looks how I wanted it to look. I have learnt how
to post on the blog also. This includes learning how to set up a
scheduled post so it automatically posts at a time and date that I
wish, how to post different forms of media such as presentations,
and screenshots, and how to link the post to a tab on my home
screen. Continuing from this I have learnt how to create a tab for
my home page of the blog, so that I can tag my posts onto
different pages so it is easy to find on my blog, and so my blog is
organised.
6. As well as this I have learnt how to create a magazine,
specifically a music based magazine. I have learnt how to
effectively use codes and conventions in my magazine. For
example, I have learnt that using a bold font for the mast head
on the front cover draws attention but also fits with the POP
genre. Another example is I have learnt not only what angles
and lighting to use to take a POP style dominant image, but
also how to use the dominant image on my magazine. I have
learnt how to construct a magazine to a good standard with
the layout of all the pages I have created. My knowledge on
magazine construction has been helped by the extensive
research I have done on POP music magazines.
