1. ‘LOOKING BACK AT YOUR
PRELIMINARY TASK, WHAT DO
YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT
IN THE PROGRESSION FROM
IT TO THE FULL PRODUCT?’
2. Introduction
From the preliminary task, I feel we have leant
allot about filming and editing techniques. Not
only from what we were taught, but allot from our
mistakes. I feel we have gained an
understanding of the importance of each
convention of creating a piece of media work.
4. Storyboarding
We started by writing a storyboard. From our
preliminary task we learned the importance of a
story bordering. In our preliminary we did not
strictly stick to our storyboard, which caused
later confusions as we lost our organisation.
5. Camera movements and camera
positioning
In our preliminary task, we didn’t used a tripod
when recording. This created a very clear and
still frame for our video. However during our
actual task, we didn’t use a tripod on all of our
shots. We did not realize the importance of the
tripod until we contrasted the final task to our
preliminary, where we saw clearly the difference
in camera work.
6. Scripts
From our preliminary task, we shared a similar
experience to the story board. We didn’t pay much
attention to our pre-planned script which resulted in us
losing organization of our lines. We learned the
importance of following a script when we lost
organisation in performing. In our final task we heavily
stuck to our scripts, to avoid the confusion we
experienced before.
