This document summarizes the technologies used during the production of a music video and ancillary tasks. Photoshop was the main program used to create a magazine advert and digipak, utilizing layers to arrange images and text. 2. INTRODUCTION
This presentation will identify the technologies used in the
production of our music video and ancillary tasks.
Technology played a huge part in our project, especially
the programs Premier Pro and Photoshop, we also used a
few other medium but they did not play as a big a part.

3. USE OF PHOTOSHOP
Photoshop was the main technology used in the creation
of our ancillary tasks of our magazine advert and digipak.
Photoshop was useful because it allows for the
combination of images and type and complete control
over where these are placed. The most useful part of
Photoshop is the ability to use layers, which makes it easy
to arrange the different images and writing into a way
that is conventional and attracts the consumer’s attention
to the right part of the advert. One of the main ways in
which we used layers was having different parts of text
layered next to each other to make it look different to if
they were written out in one normal sentence. We were
also able to download a font and install it to use in
Photoshop that fit our star’s persona better than any of the
standard fonts and gave our ancillary tasks a more
professional look to them .

4. USE OF PREMIER PRO
Premier Pro was the video editing software that we used
to edit our music video with. The most useful feature of
Premier Pro in my opinion is the timeline, it allows you to
arrange clips on top of and underneath each other,
similar to the layers in Photoshop, which can be used for
cross-fading transitions to make a transition between two
clips smoother, or for overlaying one clip over another on
a high transparency which we used a fair amount in the
last section of our video. Another useful feature of
Premier Pro is the toolbar with tools such as the razor
blade tool used for cutting out unwanted pieces of
footage or splitting/shortening clips, as well as the pen
tool which allows you to make certain parts of a video
clip more or less transparent or certain parts of a sound
clip louder or quiter.
