3. Blogger
We were able to use blogger to record all of our progress from the beginning of the
video whilst also recording our progress in term of producing our digipak and
advert. The easy to use style of the blog made it simple for me to create almost a
diary for my coursework.
The
headings
and the
different
functions
make it very
easy for
anyone to
access the
blog and for
me to use
and upload
it as well.
Blogger
allows us to
upload or
embed many
different
types of
media. Such
things as
videos,
photos and
different
types of
documents.
4. Scribd
Scribd was used in order to embed word documents and
such like onto my blog. This was an exelent tool when
creating my blog as it enabled me to use several types of
media when creating my blog. Expressing the genre of the
music video and other media texts through different ways.
5.
6. Slide Share
Slideshare, although I havent already used it, I will be using
for this presentation.
Slide Share
allowed me to
share any power
points that I
wanted to upload
onto the blog in a
way that was
clear and easy to
use.
7.
8. Muvi Camera
The Muvi camera was a great tool for creating the up close
and personal side of our video. With the camera and its
extensions, we were able to record all that we wanted with
very little movement during the shots whilst all in HD
quality.
We chose this camera because it helped us create the
personal view of the video that we wanted, and with the
many different scenes in the video it was easy to transport
and do shots quickly and on the move.
9.
10. Movie Studio
Movie Studio was our editing software. It was very
useful as a software in terms of editing our video.
The effects such as reversing the shots and fading
them out were easy to access and had no trouble
finding my way around the software.
Because we had a very realistic video concept, the
demand for lots of effects on the actual video were
not needed to create the effect we desired.
However, we used the program to reverse some
shots as we decided it would create a more
effective impact on the genre of the video. This
was done easily, using a tool found when right
clicking on the desired shot.
11.
12. Youtube
We used Youtube for uploading all our videos in
preparation for our final piece and including the final
video. Uploading it to Youtube was fast and easy
along with useful as it allowed other people who
wished to view the music video to do so easily.
13.
14. iPhone
Our phones were used for a number
of things. Firstly, we used them to
take behind the scenes photos for
our blog, secondly we were able to
use the blogger app to upload
the pictures quickly and easily, this
ease of constantly being able to
update all of our work really
quicker helped us when it came to
making decisions. It meant we were
not limited to having to work in one
place.
15. Powerpoint
Powerpoint was only used for tasks that required
some sort of presentation to a group of people with
clear messages. We used this to brief a number of
people in our target audience in an attempt to find
out feedback and see if they liked what we were
planning on doing. This was used at the start of
our production.
16. Wordle
Wordle was used to illustrate in clear and brief ways
what our audiences main concerns and agreements
were about in terms of our music video, digipack and
magazine cover. By using this we were able to create
an interesting way to post our audience research on
the blog.
17. Photoshop
Photoshop was used on our Digipack and magazine
cover to create an urban but recognisable and
memorable effect. It was easy to used and we quickly
found an effect that we believed looked good and
from what we gathered from our audience research,
so did our target audience.
