For research and planning, the student used online resources like Google, YouTube, and SlideShare to understand conventions of the indie genre and structure of music videos. A survey was created and distributed through social media to gather audience feedback. WhatsApp was used for group discussions and planning. Presentations were created using Google Slides, SlideShare, and Emaze. A storyboard and shot lists were made on StoryboardThat and Google Docs. During production, a Canon 700D camera and tripod were used to film at various locations. An iPhone was used to take location photos. Footage and photos were saved to Google Drive. For our research into the indie genre, I used Google as a search engine on the internet, to find websites and
slides from Slideshare to gain an understanding of the conventions of indie. I also used youtube to analyse
different music videos from different genres including indie to gain an understanding of the structure and
making of music videos and the conventions they consist of. For audience research we created a
questionnaire from Survey nuts and sent the link through Whatsapp and Facebook (social media) to
discover what our target audience liked ,disliked and enjoyed from music videos to use for our video to
hopefully achieve successful audience feedback.
We used whatsapp for group discussions for planning dates and communication with one another
regarding our production.I used presentation websites such as Google slides , Slideshare and Emaze to
present my findings. From this we created a storyboard using a website Storyboardthat for our narrative ,
along with shot lists for locations using Google Docs, location recces by using my iphone 5 as we were
about to start filming. I also researched into editing as I had little experience. I used youtube tutorial videos
to research how to add black and white effects with adobe premiere pro editing software to add to our
music video. I used Google drive to save the majority of research and photos to ensure it is safely saved.

5. For the production part of our video , we used a Canon 700D Camera to film and also
take pictures in the studio for the digipak. A Tripod was used with the camera for
good quality straight shots from different locations, this was very useful as it allowed
us to get many wide shots of locations like Beckton and Monument. The only
unnatural lighting that was used was in the photoshoot in the studio for the digipak ,
as we used back and side lighting and flash from the camera to highlight the artist .
Once we had our footage , we uploaded it to Adobe premiere pro, which we used to
edit. And used Photoshop to edit the photoshoot and a still image from filming for
the digipak. I used my Iphone to take photos of the locations for the location recce.
I used Google drive to save all my footage and photos to ensure it was safely saved.

6. Evaluation For this evaluation (Question 4) I used previous methods of
presentation with the use of Google slides to Slideshare
for this question. But I wanted to add something different.
Question 3 is a video filmed with a Canon 1300 D camera
, specifically to capture the audience feedback, with the use
of a Google slide presentation in the video to assist the
presenting within the video. After I created another Google
slide and uploaded it to Slideshare on the audience
feedback conclusion
Question 2 is presented by Kizoa a photo video maker that
I created a vocal and visual presentation , by recording my
voice with my Iphone on voice recorder and adding it to
the video then uploading it to Youtube.
Question 1 is typed on the evaluation post on my blog
itself, as using a online presentation tool would have made
it lengthy and prolonged to follow.
