2. Our inspirations to our music video was based around the Indie genre, this
included,black and white colour scheme, the use of nature and the sun for
natural light, the setting of iconic london that is easily recognisable as a main
location as a whole. Indie artists such as Birdy and Lana Del Rey gave inspiration
to costume with an plain but distinguishable costumes that connotes their genre.
We have chosen to do the same with the image of Lana del rey that we have used
in our album digipak cover. Our last inspiration was breakups and this coming
from a teenage or young women’s perspective of love and heartbreak that we
have used in our filming of Nikita using the black and white colour scheme as
flashbacks of her relationship (the past) , with her distraught destroying photos
into her dealing with this and finding herself(present) like a coming of age, but
coming OUT of a relationship.
