2. Feedback on the Rough
Cut
• The first rough cut that we received allowed us to understand as a group that
we had to make many changes towards the music video. We had to make
sure that the editing was in sync with the beat towards the song meaning we
needed more cuts in the editing stage of our music video. We then posted a
few blog posts about the feedback, I have also posted a video on the
feedback of my music video from another person in a group. We were also
told that adding a few minor special effects would create a more engaging
music video and that was exactly what we were aiming for. We received
constructive criticism especially towards the end of the music video because
we needed to re film the last scene of the music video and without that last
scene our music video looked really weak. The feedback we received
definitely alerted us that there were many changes to be done.

3. Changes that had to be
done
• From the feedback that we have received it was clear to me that serious
changes were needed. We had to sync the cuts with the beat of the song
because that was a major impact that everyone believed had to be in sync.
We needed a few more locations maybe if it was possible. We needed better
lighting on the final verse of the artist “ISHY” Because it was way too dark to
even see the artist so we had to go re shoot the final verse but with better
lighting equipment. Also we needed to add a variety of shot types, the
feedback portrays that we needed a few more close ups if possible. We
needed to add more special effects and so we did. We added a transition
from Final Cut Pro called ‘Earthquake’ this allowed the music video to be
more engaging and exciting.

4. At The Screening
• When my music video was playing, I felt a little nervous because there was a
big audience and I personally felt like there were still a few tweaks needed for
the music video. However the feedback from the audience cheering and
excitement completely made me feel like that my music video was good.
There was a lot of excitement while watching and at the very end, everyone
was cheering so that made me feel like we did good as a group to complete
the music video. With all the cheering from the audience I then knew that the
conventions have been met. The only changes I would had added if possible
towards the music video would be adding more locations. I received 1 bad
feedback from a friend of mine and he noticed that the locations were
slightly on repeat and it slightly got boring but he also said that the shot types
were excellent the lip syncing was on point and he really enjoyed the music
video. One change I would had made if I could go back would be to plan
out more locations for the music video because I believe if we were able to
add 1 more location the music video would had been close enough to
perfect.

5. Ancillary Feedback
When I had to design and create for my ancillary work, I was slightly confident as I
already had experience in using Photoshop which made me believe I could
create a great Digipak and advertisement. Here is my final piece of my ancillary
work.

6. Overall
• Looking back on all the feedback on which I have received, I believe that I
have created and designed a great music video with great ancillary work.
The conventions were strongly met towards the music video as the music
video is set to believe that it follows the genre of Hip-hip-hop / Rap. I have
received a lot of positive feedback from students to teachers and a large
majority of the feedback has been very positive so it is set to believe that I
have done well. There were a few criticism points that I received and they all
linked back to adding a few more locations towards the music video.
