Audience feedback Maseulla Olomi
performers We learned from audience feedback that some of our audiences did not feel like our original singer was giving a believable performance. This lead to us deciding that we should change our original singer or the chorus. Because we received positive feedback on our main performer we decided to make him also be the singer.
We used a variety of shots We have been told from audience feedback that we have used a variety of shots. For example, over the shoulder and high angle shots have been used in our music video. This was an example of positive feedback we received.
Out of sync From audience feedback we Found out that some audiences when watching our music video felt as Though some of the scenes were out of sync. This made us decide to re-film the Footage that was out of Sync. In some cases we did not need to re-film as we Could use time remapping To make the footage in sync.
Clear narrative From our audience feedback We found out that the Narrative to our music video was clear, people were able to tell that there was a break up and reconciliation between the main artist and his girlfriend. Our intention whilst making the music video was to make the narrative clear, so we were pleased.
More effects From audience feedback we were told that we did not use enough effects on our green screen Footage, we were told by audiences to variety the green screen footage by adding effects such as texts and split screens. We Tried to listen to the audience feedback and add more effects to our music video.
Colour correction From our audience feedback we also found out that in our green screen footage there was problems with the performers t-shirt colour when we changed angles. As we were unable to alter the colouring of the original footage we decided to re-film The scenes were there was problems with colouring.
creativity From our audience feedback we also found out that we were quite creative in our use of narrative, editing and shots. The audience, especially thought this was the case in the scene were the performer is using cards to say some of the lyrics. Also Some audiences recognised that this was a intertextual reference of the artist Common’s “lets go” video.
