2. Skills that we have learnt
Whilst making our media we have discovered
different types of technology to help us put things
together. For example, we have learnt how to use a
camera professionally. We have also learnt different
skills and shots directors and camera mans use to
create different affects with the help of a camera. By
using their tips, we used our own camera to recreate
and improve to develop our own opening sequence.
We also learned a lot skills whilst using premiere pro
for example: whilst editing, premiere pro helped us
use visual effects to make our media product look
more presentable.
We have also had a better understanding on how to
use YouTube as a group, we have learnt how to
upload and make appropriate thumbnails for our
product to be displayed on YouTube.
3. Making our Production Logos
and Film Name (Premiere Pro)
• To create these we used premiere pro, in the title section. These skills
have helped us with our creative understanding as it has helped us by
giving us ideas on how to make something basic look more arty. We
struggled to understand in the beginning how we will make these Logos but
once we used premiere pro we now have more creative ideas as seen
above.
4. YouTube
In order to promote our opening sequence and show our
technological understanding, we had to use a platform to
show this. We decided that YouTube was an appropriate
platform as it is open to many people to watch. We have
learnt how to upload on YouTube and select thumbnails
appropriately to draw the attention of our audience.
5. Skills
Overall, we as a group found these tools useful
and have discovered new skills with the help of
them which has given us our final media product.
In the beginning, we had some difficulties for
example: whilst editing we did not know how to
reverse the shots or make them slow motion. By
looking on YouTube, we have learnt how to do
them successfully.
