My evaluation

Hayley was torn between scanography and multiple exposure but ultimately chose multiple exposure because it seemed more interesting, fun, and allowed for more post-production flexibility. Evaluation of exhibition
- 1. Evaluation For this unit I had to complete research on photography techniques and produce my own images. Research First I looked at different styles of photography; this helped me get a better understanding of the various topics available. I looked at National Geographic, Life and Magnum Photos. This gave me the opportunity to look at images I wouldn’t normally look at. This then added to my knowledge of different styles and then I had to analyse them by describing what I liked in each of the images I analysed this allowed me to begin the process of choosing my own topic. Location The location I chose was by the science department in a little garden we also went into a science room where they had a variety of animals for example guinea pigs, gerbils, snakes and an albino hedgehog which we took pictures of. We also took pictures on the field in between the rugby pitch and football pitch. Here is one of the photos I used in my exhibition this was taken I used the blur tool on Photoshop to give it an effect which I believed was nice and looked cool. Also I blurred it as it gives it a cool faded effect and it’s got a bit of a hazy effect.

For this photo I also used the blur tool however I feel for this photo this was my weakness as I over did it a bit and on my feedback task Callum suggested I should use a little less editing I also played with the hue/saturation, colour balance and vibrance, hence why the picture has a dark blue/ purple effect. This is one of my favourite photos in my exhibition and I think my strength on this was not over doing the editing all I did on Photoshop was go to image then to adjustments then to black and white followed by pressing ok without changing anything on the colour bars. That’s all I did and I’m really happy with how it came out.
