Evaluation
How doing research on T.V dramas helped me In my research I first looked at some magazines in class such as, Monday choice, T.V times and the radio times. I noticed that in these magazines the editors were aiming their articles at a certain target audience. This is evident because the Monday choice gives you a lot of visual aids, whereas the T.V times and the radio times use a lot of text in their articles. I also noticed that the T.V times set out their magazine article like a structured interview and i thought this was a good idea, and I used it in my magazine article. This was an example of how research helped me. I also used a visual aid in my magazine article and i got this idea from the magazine article in the Monday choice.
How doing research into audiences helped me Doing research on audiences was a great help in my coursework as it helped me understand whether my idea was a good one or a bad one, this also allowed me to see the strengths of the T.V drama and also the weaknesses so that I could improve on it. Doing audience research also helped me see if people would understand my T.V drama and also if they liked it or disliked it.
My target audience My T.V drama is mainly aimed at teenagers and young adults because it is about drugs, violence and gang culture so it will be this age group who are more likely to understand, relate and ultimately want to watch this T.V drama. People of this age group are more likely to watch this T.V drama because they are the ones who will be most interested into drugs, violence and gangs.
Technology that I used to its best effect I used a lot of technology to get the best out of magazine article. The first thing that I had to use was to use my mobile phone to take pictures of the characters in my T.V drama, and I then put these pictures on to Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop was a good piece of technology to use because it lets you organise your layers so it helped me organise the magazine article well. Adobe Photoshop also let me make my pictures the correct size because when I transferred them off my mobile phone the pictures were to large.
