1. 4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
From my questionnaire, I found out what my target audience
will be. My average reader is a female between the ages of 15
and 20, who enjoy punk/rock music; this meant that I had to
create a punk/rock but youthful and feminine type of image for
my magazine. They read music magazines every so often and
enjoy reading about real life stories and interviews therefore I
created an eye catching front cover to get my audience to notice
and buy my magazine. They also listen to music through iTunes,
mobile phone and radio which is why I added an iTunes gift to
further entice them into buying my magazine.

My audience are likely to still be in full time education due to their age
which they will have less money to spend on magazines and the most they
are willing to spend is £2.99 and are less likely to be loyal to the magazine
and will rely on cover to as to whether they should spend their money on
it. I have also made the magazine a monthly issue as they will more likely
to be able to buy every issue but I would have a website so my readers can
keep up to date with current events.

Although my magazine is my target audience is females, the magazine will
try to be gender neutral otherwise I will lose a large audience.
