2. MY PHOTOGRAPHY
The audience I wanted to target with my magazine was the rock and punk social
groups, so the photography I chose for the magazine had to appeal to these
groups. I therefore chose to use mostly quite dark images and also images that
make the person/people in the images stand out a lot and sometimes look
somewhat arrogant, this is because most artists in from this genre have a very
in your face style.
3. MY CHOICE OF LANGUAGE
The article I wrote for my music magazine was and interview, I tried to make the
article feel very informal and conversational as I wanted to give a relaxed feel
to the writing. I also tried to involve the reader as much as I could in the article, I
did this by using phrases like “Our readers are all asking…” to make the reader
feel a part of the magazine. I did this because I feel that this is what my target
audience would like out of a music magazine, a sense of belonging to a part of
a group.
I also feel that the relaxed nature of the article will draw the target audience in
more because, teenagers and young adults are not interested in formal style
reading and it would most likely put my target audience off.
I think that the content of the magazine also contains articles that the social
group I have chosen would be able to feel interested and involved in as this
would help to attract the readers.
