2. THEIR OPINION
To find out about what my audience though of the magazine and to
get some feedback on how the magazine could be improved I
created a questionnaire to give to 40 people who typically read
magazines similar to Razor. The feedback I got was ,mostly
positive and would be very helpful in improving the magazine.
3. RESULTS
Q1. Results for this question showed that 8 people felt that the magazine
needed some more colours on the pages as they felt they were too dark. 31
people said that they liked the colour scheme and the images, but 13 people
said that the double page spread needed more images.
Q2. This question showed that 34 people buy music magazines at least once
a month and if not more.
Q3. Answers from this question showed that 35 out of the 40 who were
asked would be interested in reading the magazine. This was a figure that I
was very pleased with as it shows that I have in fact chosen the correct
target audience.
Q4. These results showed me that 39 people felt that there was enough
content in the magazine, however 19 people said that the content on the
double page spread could have been made to look better. 15 people also said
that the contents page was well presented and made the magazine easy to
navigate.
Q5. The results I got from this question were that 36 people though that the
magazine had a consistent theme. Those who said no felt that the contents
page had a much brighter feel than the rest of the magazine.
4. EVALUATION
These results have shown me that, if I wish to improve my magazine I
should, consider adding some more colours to the house style, make sure the
content of my double page spread looks interesting enough and possibly include
more images. It also showed that I have targeted the right people for my magazine
and that people would probably be interested in buying Razor.
This is my readership profile, my
readership profile indicated that
around 58% of readers would be
male and 42% of them would be
female. Because of this I tried not to
aim my magazine at a specific
gender. It also showed that the
majority of my target audience were
people still in full time education
which made it easier when I was
selecting content as I am more
familiar with the wants and needs of
the younger generation.
