This document discusses using containers and the Azure Container Service to extend Office Add-ins. It describes how containers provide a lightweight platform to simplify building, shipping, and running apps. Containers use a shipping container system for code, allowing apps to run everywhere without conflicts. The Azure Container Service is optimized for hosting containers at large scale and makes it easy to manage containers.
