Essays On Feminism
Crafting an essay on the topic of feminism is a challenging endeavor. It requires a deep
understanding of the complex and multifaceted nature of feminism as a social, political, and
cultural movement. To adequately address the topic, one must delve into historical contexts,
explore various feminist theories, examine current issues and debates, and consider
intersectionality—the interconnectedness of gender with other social identities such as race,
class, sexuality, and ability.
Moreover, writing on feminism demands sensitivity and awareness of the diverse experiences
and perspectives within the movement. It necessitates navigating potentially contentious issues
with nuance and respect, acknowledging privilege and power dynamics, and striving for
inclusivity and representation.
Furthermore, the ever-evolving nature of feminism adds another layer of difficulty. As societal
norms shift and new challenges emerge, staying updated and relevant becomes crucial. Balancing
traditional feminist ideologies with emerging discourses and intersectional approaches requires
meticulous research and critical analysis.
Additionally, the personal implications of discussing feminism can't be ignored. Writing on such
a topic often prompts introspection, challenging one's own beliefs and biases. It requires courage
to confront uncomfortable truths and engage in meaningful self-reflection.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on feminism demands intellectual rigor, empathy, cultural
competency, and a commitment to social justice. It's a journey that requires both scholarly
inquiry and personal introspection, making it a formidable task for any writer.

Live Streaming Video Game Footage
Live streaming video game footage is becoming an increasingly bigger phenomenon
in the gaming world. Already some forty five million gamers go on Twitch every
month to stream, watch, and chat about games. And that s just one streaming
platform, there are others platforms, like YouTube gaming, just to name one. But
streaming is traditionally something that was done from a PC and pc games like
DOTA, Counterstrike, and StarCraft dominate the streaming scene. But with the
newest generation of consoles, streaming from consoles became a reality. Microsoft

Turtle Beach agreed to manufacture Sony s official PS4 headsets. But console

Alabama Ghost Stories
Many people have been inside haunted houses or lived in a haunted house. Some
people do not realize actually if there house is haunted or not. People who actually
know about a haunted house , they want to visit and video what paranormal activities
happen at the haunted house. In Alabama, three places have been visited and

not all ghost exist in houses, they can be in backyard, bridge, anywhere. The big

Aggressive Behavior And Victimization Essay
Aggressive Behavior and Victimization has long term effects for the victimized, the
bystander, and the perpetrator.
Victimized:
Aggressive behavior is a major factor in short and long term physical and mental
health, education, and long term adult relationships, and work opportunities.
Repetitive aggressive and victimization increases the risk of reduced self esteem,
anxiety, depression and social isolation and poor physical health including substance
abuse and suicide.
Victimized individuals may incur or engage in adult abuse cycles, instability in long
term relationships, problems at work, and an inability to achieve economic
independence.

Bystanders become desensitized to anti social behaviors, or becoming bullies
themselves.
Many bystanders make excuses for the behavior to stay on the favored side
(Coloroso, 2011 pg38).
Bulling often incurs no immediate consequence therefore celebrated by those who
indulge in the behavior, actively or passively, whilst the bullied hide in the shadows.
Perpetrator:
The Perpetrator will display internalized symptoms. Perpetrators of aggressive
behavior become desensitized to aggression through having their behavior validated
by friends and bystanders (J.F. Sigurdson and co authors 2016). This makes the bully
feel superior to others loosing empathy for others considered beneath them.
Perpetrators of aggressive behavior lack social skills of negotiation, fair play, or
compromise leading to the belief that aggression is the only way to get the desired
result. This inability to create equable settings amongst peers forms social isolation
and depression. The perpetrator internalizes these traits so as not to appear weak to
maintain the façade of strength and
Differences Between Race, Class, Gender, And Aging
In our society, we all come from different places, different genders, and many
different ages. It s safe to say that we are all different in our ways, but if we involve
of all of the different stratifications how are they related? In one of my views, race,
class, gender, and aging are all related in a way that at times they are hard to change.
Aging is something we can t stop no matter what culture, class, gender. The children
of the Mountains for example, where families deal with overwhelming weather
conditions, and lack of food, with very short life spans.
Class, race, and gender organize society as a whole and create a variety of contexts
for family living through their unequal distribution of social opportunities. Gender,

Carl Hiaasen Research Paper
Carl Hiaasen is a renowned author known mostly for his bestselling adult novels.
Born and raised in Plantation, Florida, Carl Hiaasen grew a passion for literature,
specifically journalism, at a very young age. As a result, his father willingly gave him
a typewriter. He spent most of his time either writingsports stories on his new
machine or frolicking in the boggy wetlands of the Everglades. However, Hiaasen
became enraged after frequently watching the national park being demolished for
new highways, shopping malls, and resorts year after year. Soon, he attended Emory
University, where he wrote satirical humor columns on the student newspaper. A year
later he transferred to the University of Florida, where he graduated with a degree in
journalism.
John Marshall Essay
The late 1700s and early 1800s was a critical time period in American history in which
our newly independent nation was beginning to lay down the groundwork for how
the country would run. During this time, America was in its infancy and its crucial
first steps would dictate how the nation would either walk, run, or retreat. John
Marshall, the fourth Chief Justice of the Unites States, was a highly important and
influential political figure whose decisions forever molded the future of the American
judicial system. Like many other great political figures, much of John Marshall s
influence can be attributed to timing; he emerged just as the United States
Constitutioncame into existence.

Before the Marshall Court, the United States Supreme Court functioned much like the
courts in England in which more than one judge offered his decision on the case at
hand. Shortly after becoming Chief Justice, Marshall changed this English tradition
so that only one opinion was delivered by one of the justices, most often the Chief
Justice (Rehnquist 40). By changing this tradition John Marshall set the U.S.
Supreme Court apart from the English Courts at the time and began to define our
unique judicial system.
The overall influence of the Supreme Court under John Marshall can be understood
through the five main court cases over which he presided; Marbury v. Madison
(1803), Fletcher v. Peck (1810), Dartmouth College v. Woodward (1819),
McCulloch v. Maryland (1819), and Gibbons v. Ogden (1824). The first significant
case Marshall was faced with was Marbury v. Madison in 1803. In the last few days
of his presidency, John Adams appointed members of the Federalist Party to the new
offices he created within the judicial branch. When Thomas Jefferson took office he
told James Madison, his secretary of state, not to deliver the unsent commissions to
some of the midnight appointments , one of who was William Marbury. He
appealed to the Supreme Court, asking for a court order that would require Madison
to send out the commission, which was part of his job. The Judiciary Act of 1789
supported Marbury s demands because it authorized the Supreme Court to order

Terrorism (2001 present). And that s just the major wars. Out of all of these wars
the one that I will discuss is the American Civil War. First, I will enlighten you on
why I chose the American Civil War. Next, I will expound upon the reason that
commenced the American Civil War. Last, I will inform you on what the after effects
were from the American Civil War. The American Civil War just might be one of the
most historic and significant wars for the United States of America s history. Some
might say well what about the American Revolutionary War? Well then let me help
you distinguish the difference between American Revolutionary War and the
American Civil War. The American Revolutionary War was the battle between Great
Britain and thirteen of its North American colonies, which had proclaimed

played a big role in unifying Spain. Queen Isabella was an extremely powerful ruler

By using her genius military skills combined with her intelligence she was able to
unify Spain with one religion. She created new laws and a new way of government
to provide order to the country. Although she could not have done this all without the

Zenith Security Limited (ZSL) is a home and commercial security company
founded with the sole purpose of providing security services in Halifax. In order to
continue the company s expansion, ZSL is planning on expanding into Ontario
and Quebec. Unlike atlantics Canada where Zenith owns and operates all of its
locations in the other provinces its purpose is to become a franchiser and thus
allow local entrepreneurs to purchase rights to be Zenith security provider in their
communities. In order to ease the strategic shift Paolo Santiago the sole shareholder
of the company has hired Jason Armand early in the fiscal year as the manager of
the 2 provinces. Jason s inclusion in the project has so far led to the opening of 15
franchises throughout Ontario and Quebec during the year. Furthermore 5 locations
have also been opened and are operated by the company alone.
Issues
There are several issues associated with the company after analyzing the case. Zenith
Security Limited, as was previously mentioned expanded throughout Canada.
Because the company switched to franchising, there are issues attached to revenue
recognition. The group agrees with the $225 000 cost of acquiring a franchise,
however, the installments for collection poses a problem for the company. Only
$75 000 is collected within six months of signing the franchise agreement. This
leaves a bulk of the cash ($150 000) to be collected a year and half later. This is a
problem particularly because Zenith has no
Review Of show And Tell By Scott Mccloud
The Importance of Visuals in Communication There are many different ways to tell
a story, but which way is the best? As mentioned by Scott McCloud, young kids
read books with many pictures, and as they develop into adults, they read books
with less and less pictures, but is this the best way to read stories? There is a better
method to read a story, and that method is through comics. In McCloud s graphic
essay Show and Tell, McCloud proves that through the use of both writing and
illustrations in comics, comics are the best form of literature to convey a story. By
proving this, McCloud demonstrates how visual representation is very important
while conveying a message, as it provides a bigger range of emotionand expression.
As humans, we like creativity and emotions and thus, visual representation in
communication is important in our society. In Scott McCloud s graphic essay,
Show and Tell, he explains how words and images work together in the form of
comics to convey a message. An example where he demonstrates this is during the
first 16 slides. Without the use of images, the reader would not know what s going
on because the boy is not specific in his dialogue. Without the use of words, the
reader would have no context about what s going on in the pictures. A great
analogy that McCloud uses on page 745 is that words and images are like dancers.
He explains how both partners work together and support each other s strengths so
that they can be presented well as a

Francisco Goya s, The Third of May, 1808 was painted right about 1814 15. It is an

Prado, Madrid. According to smarthistory.org, The Third of May is acclaimed as one
of the great paintings of all time, and has even been called the world s first modern
painting (khanacademy.org). The interpretation of Francisco Goyas The Third of May
1808 is a vivid representation of the atrocities of war during the Napoleonic war in
Spain, which is captured and illustrated brilliantly. The depiction of French soldiers
in a row lining prisoners up to be executed is a snapshot of an event in time, which
is frozen in this timeless piece of art painted by Goya.

The image is symbolic of Christianity because of what the emphasized prisoner in

clearly a poor laborer, takes the place of the crucified Christ; he is sacrificing
himself for the good of his nation (khanacademy.org). Furthermore Goya brilliantly

as brave and courageous before he is shot. Goya also represents Christianity by

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Motion
Capture
INTRODUCTION:
Motion capture is the process of recording the movement of object or people .Human
motion mean movement of human in computer graphics.it is used in military,
entertainment, sports, medical, applications, and for validation of computer vision
and robotics. In filmmaking and video game development, it refers to recording
actions of human actors, and using that information to animate digital character
models in 2D or 3D computer animation. When it includes face and fingers or
captures subtle expressions, it is often referred to as performance capture. In many
fields, motion capture is sometimes called motion tracking, but in filmmaking and
games, motion tracking usually refers more to match moving.
The purpose of motion capture is to record only the movements of the actor, not his
or her visual appearance.
Camera movements can also be motion captured so that a virtual camera in the
scene will pan, tilt, or dolly around the stage driven by a camera operator while the
actor is performing, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In entertainment applications this can reduce the costs of key frame based animation.
The Hand Over technique is an example of this.
The amount of work does not vary with the complexity or length of the performance
to the same degree as when using traditional techniques. This allows many tests to be
done with different styles or deliveries, giving a different personality only limited by
the talent of the actor.
Complex movement and realistic physical interactions such as secondary motions,
weight and exchange of forces can be easily recreated in a physically accurate manner.
The amount of animation data that can be produced within a given time is extremely
large when compared to traditional animation techniques. This contributes to both
cost effectiveness and meeting production
Billy Strayhorn s Impact On The Development Of Jazz
The development of jazz was due to the contributions of many significant musicians
that viewed music differently. Jazz became a popular genre and thus evolved into
big band jazz. Duke Ellington s Orchestra is an example of a big band that depicted
the art form of jazz and with the help of Billy Strayhorn it gained popularity, as well
as jazz. Billy Strayhorn s impact on the development of jazz was through his impact
on the Duke EllingtonOrchestra, compositions and arrangements of jazz songs, and
influence on other musicians. To begin with, jazz evolved due to the popularity of
big bands like the Duke Ellington Orchestra that brought this art form to the people in
different places. Duke Ellington was a significant bandleader and musician... Show

Not only did he help Duke Ellington when troubled harmonically or melodically, but
he made the individuals of the big bands sound their best based on their unique
qualities. He took in mind what each individual in a big band must play. Ellington
as a bandleader would find the best musicians based on their uniqueness, which was
what inspired him to compose songs. Taking this into account, Strayhorn had to
focus on the full orchestra and had to ...write out the individual instrumental parts
for each member...(Hajd). After several magnificent compositions and
arrangements based on Hajd, he expanded by writing an arrangement for Mary
Martin, an actress and singer. Besides the works Strayhorn did in collaboration
with Ellington, his greatest composition without any Ellington associations was
Lush Life. This song was allows the musicians play it with smoothly because
according to Guitarist Mundell Lowe, it is one of the few songs he knows that
requires no improvisation because the line as written cannot be improved (Sales).
Since jazz is a genre that is mostly composed of improvisation, the fact that Lush
Life requires no improvisation depicts not only that it is well composed, but also
that it is a unique with its melodic invention and lyrics. In other words, it is a perfect
piece for any musicians or bands to

Yukio Mishima s novel The Sailor who fell from Grace with the Sea, represents the

the changing culture of Japan during that era. In the novel Fusako, the mother of

many post WWII Japanese women would face, which take place in her life and are

It is said in Japan that a woman who drifts past thirty and remains unmarried will
become the topic of gossip and comment, the assumption being that there must be
something wrong with her to explain her marital status (Friedman), and since Fusako
is thirty three this might justify her desire for another husband. Since Fusako is the
one rushing to have intimate relations with the sailor, it is safe to say that she acting
somewhat like a man since they are usually the first ones to seek intimacy. All of this
represents the author s representation of Fusako as a woman with womanly needs but
also with the urge to get intimate quickly like a man, implying the use of gender
confusion in the novel. The years leading to the start of the world wars, many
women in the Japanese society, just like those of many other societies, were
assigned only to do work in the home, in the early years of the war, Japanese
women were relegated to various volunteer associations, which did not involve

could assume that Fusako was one of those women that the Japan relied on to help
with the war. With that being said, it is implied that she was given a high
Description Of The Geographic Information System
The geographic information system is also used in finding clusters. This is done
using multiple algorithms to come with a group of unrelated regions that match the
theme of interest. The cluster contains points that meet the criterion required for the
theme. For instance, members of a cluster could be points where the distance
between them is less than a particular threshold or points whose population density is
above a particular range. The process requires many levels of iteration before the
choice of the correct algorithm can be identified. Cluster identification has been used
in different organizations to group oil deposits depending on their size based on the
population surrounding them. There are several techniques and models used in...

Apart from the oil industry, the geographical information systems have also gained

Abigale Greedy Dance
Over the past several weeks, I have been working with a determined group of girls
to create a fun piece for a school dance battle. Abigale, Sophie, Kadey, Jesseca,
Libby and I put our heads together and formed an epic mashup. Our process, while
sometimes slow, will be beneficial to future projects. We ve shared ideas for
choreography, songs, and concepts to result in our 1 minute and 30 second piece.
The six of us wanted to choreograph a sassy routine that would be upbeat and
exciting. We decided to mash two songs together so we could use the element of
surprise to win our audience over. The song Greedy by Ariana Grande is bold and
lively. Abigale thought it would be perfect to cut the song before the chorus and
replace the rest with Cake By The Ocean by DNCE. In my opinion, this was a
strong decision because it opened some doors for us choreography wise. We were
able to manipulate the tone of the piece to social and uplifting than strictly sass and

After realizing this song wouldn t be appropriate for a high school setting, we

sassy and boisterous. While we didn t recycle the choreography (to my
knowledge), we wanted to include a similar dynamic. By putting all our energy
into the dance, we made the piece entertaining and upbeat. Another decision we
made was to use all the space provided. When possible, the six of us want to travel.
We are doing this all the time, except when travelling to our formations. Our process
for actually choreographing the songs took a bit longer than expected. I don t
believe this served us as a downfall; a lot of time was spent cleaning before moving

The internal environment of FedEx consists of customers, distribution and
competitors. This environment determines what FedEx does to succeed in their
market. FedEx has two major customers who consist of businesses and individual
customers. These business customers have accounts with FedEx to arrive at their
location to pick up packages daily or weekly. Two thirds of FedEx s business comes
from these customers so FedEx curves their operations to satisfy this clientele. Since
FedEx s competition is trying to acquire some of this clientele they have begun to
operate and market to this clientele more effectively. Individual customers are also in
FedEx s internal environment. These customers represent one third of their business.
With increased competition from competitors FedEx has marketed to this market
substantially. They have created boxes that are prepaid for shipment as long as the
contents fit into the box. This has effectively increased business amongst individual
customers for FedEx. FedEx s internal environment also consists of their distribution

Heinz Ketchup Commercial
My choice of media is an advertisement by Kraft Foods Inc. and I chose it because it s
minimalistic and intriguing. Thesis and Focus How simplicity and authenticity
overrule ostentatious advertisements: A visual analysis of the Heinz ad campaign.
Description In the above advertisement for Heinz ketchup, the company takes an
approach to amaze their audience with the help of abstract art. The featured
advertisement is for Heinz Ketchup. It includes a garish red backdrop. It also features
something that looks like a classic bottle of Heinz ketchup, but actually are
horizontally sliced tomatoes bundled on top of each other in the shape of the classic
ketchup bottle. The text below reads, No one grows ketchup like Heinz. While the
advertisement is simple and minimalistic, the combination of text and picture is
enticing to the targeted consumer. While other ketchup companies have flashy ads

Even an advertisement about a universally known brand has the potential to be
interpreted in various ways. In the Heinz example, a consumer may see the sliced
ketchup bottle as an abstract sculpture, and therefore associate the company with
innovation and art. By stating No one grows ketchup like Heinz , they are saying that
their ketchup uses natural and fresh ingredients, unlike other competing brands.
Ketchup is made in a factory and by any means isn t grown . However, the text below
the picture reads otherwise. By this, the marketers transform a sugary condiment into
a wholesome, raw ingredient. This is clearly an attempt by the advertisers to assign a
healthy connotation to ketchup. Not only are the advertisers attaching a nutritional
aspect to ketchup, they are redefining ketchup perhaps in an attempt to promote a
healthier way of

Abortion In Ernest Hemingway s Hills Like White Elephants
Yes, said the girl. Everything tastes of licorice. Especially all the things you ve
waited so long for, like absinthe. (786). Absinthe is an alcoholic drink that is
shrouded in mystery and speculation. The addictive and narcotic liquor was created
during the 17th century and was popularized by artists and writers alike. The
famous author and playwright, Oscar Wilde, exclaimed, After the first glass of
absinthe you see things as you wish they were. After the second you see them as
they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible
thing in the world. The author Ernest Hemingway, included absinthe in many of his
writings such as For Whom The Bell Tolls and Death In The Afternoon . In
Hemingway s short story, Hills Like White Elephants , An American man and his
unmarried pregnant girlfriend named Jig, order various alcoholic beverages and
argue about what seems to be an abortion while waiting for a train to Madrid. Jig
drinks a liquor called Anis del Toro and makes the connection that it tastes like
licorice and absinthe. The complex situation of the abortion at this time in their
relationship is the same bitter taste as absinthe. Absinthe was created by a French
doctor living in Couvet, Switzerland around 1792. He concocted absinthe by
distilling wormwood and other herbs such as anise, balm mint, angelica and hyssop in
alcohol. The drink is pale green with the anise covering up the bitter taste of
wormwood. At first, absinthe

There are a few key aspects of dairy farming that need to be monitored carefully or
result in unwanted outcomes. This includes the voltage on the fences around the farm,
the temperature of the milk that is in the vat and the activity of the water pump. A
constant monitoring system of these three important farming aspects could improve
farm profitability. A mobile phone application will be designed to incorporate
monitoring of these three activities. If the fences do not have the required voltage
on them this can result in animals escaping and injuring themselves. This can be
difficult to monitor as currently to do this you are required to be on the farm using
a fence tester. The milk temperature is required to be below 7 degrees Celsius
within 3 hours by the milk company to ensure it is safe for human consumption.
This is done through using chiller machines as if the milk does not reach this
temperature in time the entire vat full of milk must be disposed of which causes a

Difference Between Modernist Drama And Realist Drama
This essay aims to show and discuss the ways in which modernist drama is
different to realist drama. To do this the essay will focus on the conventions of
language and subject identity to show how modernist drama challenges the ways of
realist drama. This essay will first outline what modernism is. It will then look at the
conventions of both language and subject identity separately, providing examples
where needed. Finally, the essay will look at Pirandello s play and discuss how it
relates to the modernist dramastyle before concluding.
When something is considered contemporary or in style, it is considered to be
modern. From the late 18th century to the early 19th century there was a shift in
history. There was a rise in capitalist societies and an increase in industrial
productivity. This created the start of modernity. Macey (2001) refers to modernity
as the period of the modern. The changes in the world demanded a response from
art. All forms of art had to create a new way of thought for this new world. This is
how modernism or the modernist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the play Krapp s Last Tape by Beckett (1958) language is delivered to the
audience in a new way. The use of a tape recorder changes the way time in a play
works. One can say that Beckett found a way to loophole the fact that play s
cannot have flashbacks. Krapp listens to his younger self on his tape recorder and
finds that some of the language used was now meaningless to his older self. This
shows that language is contextual. The language used in the stage directions are
quite unusual such as rusty black and wearish old man. While one can visualise
what these words mean, there is no standard definition for the words. In a play by
Pinter (1985) called The Birthday Party the characters often have meaningless or
vague conversations. In the first act Meg repeatedly asked Petey, Is that you? This

History of Photography Essay
The History of, and Impact of, Photography on our World
Photography is a process frequently used in areas of media, art, and science as well
as practical everyday use. It is used to inform society of different issues, used to
document a wide range of things and is used to capture everyday memories for the
years to come. It is used everywhere in today s society and through technology has
advanced tremendously since its beginnings.
The earliest cameras were simple devices that did not capture an image but merely
projected an image onto a surface. It was basically a large pinhole camera in the form
of a darkened room or booth. These were used by artists as early as the 16th century.
These were known as Camera Obscuras. They then ... Show more content on

It has even branched out into the digital realm allowing endless possibilities to the
world of photography.
Photography revolutionized the world in ways we can t even imagine. Imagery is
such an important part of our everyday lives and photography has created a
convenient way to convey an image. Before photography came about the only way
of having a permanent image of a person was to have a portrait painted. The only
way of creating an image to show the scenery and landscape of a certain era was to
have it painted or drawn. Nowadays we can take a snapshot and years later people
can see the world as it was today. Photo s have changed the world of journalism,
creating a way for people to actually see what is going on, rather then just hearing
about it.
Today we use photography frequently in our everyday lives and we are constantly
surrounded by images that would not have been possible without photography. It s
considered a hobby for some, a business for others. Photography is a huge money
making industry, from people taking pictures to sell to magazines to portrait
photographers taking happy snaps of families at their best. Photography is used as
a form of identification, showing us exactly how we are and proving we are who
we say. It is used to sell products and advertise almost anything you can think of. It s
also used as a journalistic tool, to send a message to the world and inform others. It

Argumentative Essay On Animals
Around twenty six million animals are used for scientific research every year in the
United States alone. The animals are used solely for medical treatments, determining
the toxicity of medications, checking the safety of products destined for human use,
and many other biomedical, commercial, and healthcare uses. Researchers estimate
animals have been used as test subjects since 500 B.C. According to Humane Society
International, animalsubjects are commonly forced fed, forced inhalation of
chemicals, deprived of food and water, burned, and possibly killed. We as a nation
need to begin a movement to stop testing products on defenseless animals (PETA).
Researchers have found descriptions of live animals being dissected in ancient Greek
writing dating back to 500 BC. Physician scientists such as Aristotle, Herophilus, and
Erasistratus conducted experiments on animals to discover the functions of living
organisms. Originally, vivisection, the dissection of a living organism, were performed
on criminals in ancient Rome and Alexandria, however, in ancient Greece there were
prohibitions against the mutilation of the human body which eventually led to the
reliance on animals. The physicians each had their own opinions when it came to
performing vivisections on animals. Aristotle believed that animals lacked
intelligence and therefore the notions of justice and injustice did not apply to them. A
successor to Aristotle, Theophrastus, disagreed stating that animals, like humans,
Cardiac Function Lab Report
For this experiment students sought to demonstrate how cardiac function was
regulated. Students made hypothesizes for clamping, drug injections, and stimulation
with effects of arterial pressure and heart rate in mind. Students performed various
tests in order to fully obtain results for this experiment which included the injection of
drugs and their effects, using and removing a clamp and that effect, and finally used
an electrical simulation machine in order to stimulate nerves to test that effect. The
main hypothesizes depended on each treatment and each prediction was made
specifically to fit a certain set of conditions. These various tests were performed to
obtain a better understanding of cardiac function and its physiological aspects.

Research about the cardiovascular system is important because cardiovascular
function is what keeps people alive. The cardiovascular system really plays a big role
in maintaining homeostasis and sustaining life. This study further demonstrates the
vast amount of mechanisms that function together in order to provide a homeostatic
environment. Furthermore, by knowing different components of this mechanism
common illness and diseases may be more easily treated or cared for. With further
research people will better understand prevention and management of this system in
order to live a healthier life. Future studies should spend a longer period of time and
have a larger sample size in order to obtain a more accurate data set. Researchers
could also focus on how they could better understand and possible manipulate
pathways in treatment for conditions and diseases. As a whole, it can be seen that
cardiac function is by no means a single functioning mechanism and instead is an

The Economic Structure Of Feudal Society
Emerging, as Marx posits, out of the economic structure of feudal society,
Capitalism quickly became a pervasive, relentless and seemingly inescapable
structure. The emancipation from serfdom and from the fetters of the guild led, on
one hand, to the unprecedented creation of various economic and social
opportunities. Conversely, Marx also acknowledges that these new freedmen
became sellers of themselves only after they had been robbed of all their own means
of production, and of all the guarantees of existence afforded by the old feudal
system...Just as man is governed, in religion, by the products of his own brain, so, in
capitalist production, he is governed by the products of his own hand...within the
capitalist system all methods for raising the social productiveness of labor are brought
about at the cost of the individual laborer; all means for the development of
production transform themselves into means of domination over, and exploitation of,
the producers; they mutilate the laborer into a fragment of a man, degrade him to the
level of an appendage of a machine...they transform his lifetime into working time,
and drag his wife and child beneath the wheels of the Juggernaut of capital...
Accumulation of wealth is at one pole, therefore, at the same time accumulation of
misery, agony of toil slaver, ignorance, brutality, mental degradation, at the opposite
pole, i.e., one the side of the class that produces its own product in the form of capital.

Car Seat Installation: Making Safety a Priority
A.) Every year thousands of children are injured or even killed due to a car not
being properly installed or not following the guidelines to ensure safety. In all the
excitement of getting the car seat at baby showers, picking up the color and style the
family wants, sometimes safety is easily forgotten. Families do not realize it can be
challenging to put a car seat in their vehicle. Even before a seat is bought, it is
crucial for the parents to research what seat is best and what one has high safety
standards. It is important to know how the car seat was scored in safety rating tests.
The family I personally taught had the base of car seat installed correctly, they had
verbalized how it fit in the vehicle and understood the baby needed to be in rear
facing car seat. However in the actual car seat baby was not fit snuggly in the car
seat. The chest straps were not at armpit height, instead resting on the stomach. They
had added extra blankets around the baby and baby was wearing a heavy sweater to

wanted to do what was best for baby and make sure baby is safe at all times in car.

were going on. The whole process from start to end took almost an hour. The health
status of the learners was positive and the timing was great because they were ready

E. Coli
Have you ever wondered why people are always talking about E. coli, what it is, and
how you can get it? What are the conditions this bacteria lives in? These interesting
questions led the investigator to find out which material inhibits E. coli replication in
an aqueous environment the most. E. coli (also known as escherichia coli) is a bacteria
that normally lives in the intestines of people and animals named after Dr. Theodor
Escherich. Most E. coli are harmless and actually are vital to a healthy human
intestinal tract. However, some E. coli are pathogenic, meaning they can cause either
diarrhea or illness outside of the intestinal tract(cdc.gov). According to Food
Safety.gov, you can get E. coli by eating contaminated food, especially undercooked
ground beef,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
coli like to live at body temperature (37.4ВєC), can obtain energy from a wide variety
of sources, don t need oxygen to survive, and under ideal conditions, individual E.
coli cells can double every 20 minutes. At that rate, it would be possible to produce
a million E. coli cells from one parent cell within about 7 hours(The University of
Waikato). These pollutants in the water will not only affect those insects who are
able to walk on water , but the birds and other animals that feed on these insects.
Many shorebirds use the surface tension of water to move their prey to the surface
of the water. The birds swim in small, fast circle on the surface of the water, creating
a vortex that pulls creatures up within their reach, where they peck and eat them
(Choi 32). To determine how E. coli develops in different environments, the
researcher will be investigating how E. coli inhibits different materials in an aqueous
environment. During the experiment, the researcher will then calculate the colonies
in a 1 centimeter radius in the most dense spot of the petri dishes of each material.
Then he will find the averages of the 3 petri dishes of each material and compare
with the results of each

The scatter chart looks like this: Look first at 1995. In the NL, the SD had been
falling since before the new sharing arrangement. In the AL, the SD fell for a
couple of years only. So, maybe sharing made the difference in the AL, but not for
long. Now look at 2000. Again, in the NL, the SD had been falling since before the
new sharing arrangement. The same is true in the AL. But the SD jumped
dramatically from there on in the AL. Most recently, it is true that the SD in both
leagues has fallen. So, there is a bit of evidence that sharing enhanced balance, but
it isn t an unmitigated success. 4. Do the averages you calculated in Part B add
anything to your conclusions about the impact of increased local revenue sharing
on competitive balance. [Present the relevant table of averages and percentage

looks like the only real evidence of enhanced balance is in the NL and then it really
is just a flattening out for the first period of local sharing (1995 2000). Balance
worsened dramatically in the AL for this first revenue sharing experiment. For the

Introduction. Food Additives Have Been Used For Centuries
INTRODUCTION Food additives have been used for centuries to help preserve
foods, improve flavor and texture, and enhance the nutritional value in food. The
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has a list of over 3,000 food additives that are
safe for consumption by humans. (1)
The first lab experiment conducted used food additives to compare the physical and
chemical properties of three different thickening agents: corn starch, modified food
starch, and guar gum. Guar gum is a thickening agent, but also an emulsifier.
Emulsifiers are used to keep ingredients from separating. Corn starch is a flavorless
powder that comes from corn kernels, and has caloric value which is made up of
mainly carbohydrates. Modified food starch is a chemically ... Show more content on

Sample 1 was frozen orange juice from concentrate, without pulp. Sample 2 was
100% juice with pulp, not from concentrate. Sample 3 was organic 100% orange juice

The final experiment was conducted to understand how enzymes are used in food,
specifically cheese, production. Enzymes are proteins that act as a catalyst and bring
about chemical reactions. (4) The enzyme Rennin, which comes from the lining of a
cow s stomach, causes the protein in milk to coagulate. This coagulation is what
forms curds in order to make cheese. In the production of cheese, milk is treated with
buttermilk to lower the pH. Before being treated, the pH of milk is around 6.7 which
makes it slightly acidic. The range of pH for milk used to make cheese would be
between 4.1 to 5.3. (5)
METHODS
In the first experiment, each group of students was given 2 sample vials, 20 mL of
vinegar, and 4 mL of vegetable oil. Also weighed out using weight boats was 0.3g
of cornstarch and 0.3g of modified food starch. Using a pipette, the student added
10 mL of vinegar and 2 mL of vegetable oil to each vial. Both vials were labeled and
shaken vigorously for 20 seconds. Observations were made and recorded, as shown
in Table 1. After this, the students obtained 2 more vials and added the same amount
of vinegar and vegetable oil to each one. Guar gum was weighed out into two
separate containers, then 0.2g was added to one vial, and 2.0g was added to the other.

The Gap Between Vocal And Instrumental Instruction
Throughout the beginning of music education, there has been a divide. A separation
between the lands of vocalists and instrumentalists existed and still exists today.
While it isn t a conscience happening at all times, it can divide a music program into
two separate entities. Figuring out how the two areas can coincide will ultimately get
musiceducators on the right tracks for building an excelling program. When students
feel that they can be in both and feel wanted in each area and not feel tension between
the directors and the music choices, they can thrive. Removing the gap between vocal
and instrumental instruction can be done by researching alike techniques and
implementing the coinciding department into either program.

With woodwind players, tone can be changed by simply changing the space in the
throat and mouth. The same can be said of brass players, but one other aspect lies in
the amount of space between the teeth. If enough space between the teeth is not
present, especially with young brass players, an unpleasant buzzing sound will occur,
once again hindering a beautiful tone. The directors of vocalists push and push for
more space in the mouth and throat, especially with young singers that want to sound
like the next greatest pop artist. The music performed in the context of concerts and
contests at the high school and middle school level, however, need just the opposite.
The last way technique overlaps, is in the use of warmups, and technical exercises.
Instrumentalists use these on a reoccurring basis for warmups before rehearsal.
Scales are learned at a brisk tempo for auditions and at the collegiate level,
technique books and extended technique exercises are studied. These are used to
not only warm up air, but to also warm up the fingers and gain dexterity. For
vocalists, similar processes occur. Before rehearsing, vocalists use warmups; most
of which are based on scales, arpeggios and other theory points. They are used to
warm up the voice, and get performers aware of their breathing and voice flexibility.
All of these are extremely similar to their voice counterparts. Some

Each society was a small kingdom and the leader was called cacique. At the time of
Columbus, there were five different kingdoms on the island of Hispaniola. The
Indians practiced polygamy. Most men had two or three wives, but the caciques
had has many as thirty. It was a great honor for a woman to be married to a cacique.
She not only enjoyed a materially superior lifestyle, but also her children were held
in high esteem. The Taino world, for the most part, had some of the appearance that
the modern imaginations ascribe to the South Pacific Islands. The Taino used two
primary architectural styles for their homes. The general population lived in circular
buildings with the poles providing the primary support and these were covered with
the woven straw and palm leaves. They were somewhat like the North American
teepees except, they needed to reflect the warmth of the climate and simply used
straw and palm leaves rather than being covered with the skins (Barreiro 8). The
caciques were singled out for unique housing. Their house was rectangular and
featured a small porch. Despite the differences in shape, and the considerably larger
buildings, the same material was used.
When the Africans came in the beginning in 1507, they introduced mud and wattle as
primary building materials. In addition to the houses, the typical Taino village
contained a flat court in the village that was used for
Bcbg Swot Analysis
BCBGMAXAZRIA The fashion designer clothing line BCBG stands for bon chic,
bon genre. It is a French term that means good style, good attitude. Max Azria
founded the line in 1989 and was inspired to bring European sophistication to
American fashion. His line has now expanded to shoes, handbags, sunglasses,
swimwear, jackets, fragrance, accessories and menswear. The label is high quality,
affordable, classic and sophisticated. It is targeted toward women of all ages,
shapes and personal styles. He carries everything from chic dresses to casual pants
and tops. The ever growing and prosperous BCBG line is expected to be around for
many years to come. BCBG provides most of its sales revenue through bricks and
mortar stores, which means... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
BCBG has continual coverage on television and weekly entertainment magazines in
which they get noticed and reviewed. BCBG is always in WWD, which is one of
the top 20 most visited fashion websites and magazines. One of their biggest
strengths ia that they monitor the trends very well. They also have previous styles
that they have done, and just change up the fabric or the color for the different
season and that becomes their biggest seller again. The company s weaknesses are
that management comes and goes fast. One day their in and the next their out. Not
having stability might affect the company s performance in the long run. Steady
management and ideas are crucial in business. Another weakness is that their latest
styles can not be purchased online because of the exclusivity of the brand. This fact
along with the threat of overseas manufacturing may hurt BCBGMAXAZRIA in the
long run. A recent California economic study showed that apparel jobs might be
dwindling. More manufacturers are using oversea factories to gain profits for their
companies, rather than developing garments in the United States. Because of this
change, many jobs in the apparel industry will be lost and the recession of the
economy will increase. This in turn, will decrease spending among Americans in
proceeding years that have less money to spend on desired items. Also, seeing that

The Evolution Of Barbers
Barbers of the past and the future. When we look at designs that we put on
ourselves now days, we mostly think of Louis Vuitton clothes or bags, or those
new pair of Jordan s that cost about $250. However, there are other things that can
be classified as designs that we have on our body. In this case, haircuts. We all cut
our hairs, and when we do this, we do not always cut it the same. There are
hundreds of kinds of natural hair and comes with it hundreds of kinds of hair
styles. The thing is, we never think any of haircuts when we get them. We never ask
ourselves about how haircuts started in the first place. How they have evolved or
even how they affect us. There are not a whole lot of people that do not mess with
their hair. When we look... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While these premises might sometimes be true, they are not the absolute definition
of barbering. Speaking of which, we first have to ask ourselves, What is
barbering? or in other forms What is a barber? When we look this definition up in
the Oxford dictionary, it gives us a definition of A person who cuts hair, especially
men s and shaves or trims beards as an occupation . This is all said and done if we
only want to now the CURRENT meaning of barber. The work Barber and Barbering

How Does Iago Use Rhetorical Devices In Othello
Most murder mysteries and tragedies end with killings that are committed with
sole action, but in Othello, a tragedy by William Shakespeare, the reader is shown
that you can end a man s life with just words and a plan. Taking place in Venice,
Italy the play is about a moor, Othello, who falls in love with a fair skinned woman
who goes by the name of Desdemona. Eventually the two get married, but Iago, the
main antagonist, plans to seek revenge by killing both Othelloand his wife.
Shakespeare shows how Iago uses rhetorical devices to convince Othello that
Desdemona is having an affair resulting in both their deaths. The first scene I m
going to be using as an example is in Act three scene 3 lines 92 280. In this scene
Iago and Othello are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Take note, take note, O world, To be direct and honest is not safe. I thank you for
this profit, and from hence I ll love no friend, sith love breeds such offence.
(Shakespeare iii, III, 381 384), in this scene Othello asks for proof, and at this point
Othello is truly questioning if his wife is cheating. In this quote Iago is using
emotion to get to Othello, pathos, he is saying how he s glad Othello is telling him
that he shouldn t help a friend when the truth is too much. This isn t only ironic, but
it also tugs at Othello to make Iago seem more honest and trustworthy than ever.
Othello even responds to him saying he should always be honest. In another quote
from this scene Iago manages to get Othello to even admit his jealousy by
Cajun American Culture
Death of Cajun America Most historical landmarks that once stood in Lafayette
stands in ruins as the lack of funding to preserve them is spent elsewhere. Along
with the modern culture redefining celebrations such as Mardi Gras to be a revenue
income for the state. The true meaning will never be the same. The culture can be
traced back to its routes with the people who once celebrated the event. But with
more job in the area requiring English to be spoken. The native tongue has been
ripped out of the land. Leaving the language and culture to suffer with no one to
translate written documents that pertain to recreating it. Cajun Culture and the Cajun
language has been slowly fading away like a distant memory someone dwells on.

With English speaking taking over the Cajun language suffers. With 18,000 out of the
700,000 people who live in the Cajun Country today still speak the native language.
(History of Cajun Country, 2006). Cajun French was made from African, Spanish,
Native American and English origins. The language that was spoken widely by the
settlers has fallen by great numbers. One of the main reasons the number has lower
is because anyone who spoke the language from 1916 to the 1960s was punished
for speaking it or learning it. Luther Hall that was elected as governor in 1912
made new acts to make English the primary language spoken. In 1916 Act 27 was
turned into law. The Act forces all children to attend public schools where English
was taught and only spoken. This made the children who were raised in
households that spoke Cajun French to learn English. (History of the Cajuns:
Encyclopedia of Cajun Life,2009) This resulted in the future leaders and workers
learning English rather their own. If any student or citizen spoke their native
language, they were to be punished. Some say that they were to write 100 times so
they won t speak it again or get hit on their knuckles with a stick (paulet in Cajun
French). This leads to Cajun French to fade away. It was not till 1968 when

Hundred Year s War
The Hundred Year s War was marked by one hundred seventeen continuous years of
warfare between the Kingdom of France and the Kingdom of England, specifically a
power struggle between Philip VI and Edward III. Not only did this war, mark the
end of English attempts to control continental territory and the birth of the nation
state of Francebut as well among the immediate and long standing consequences was
a reconstruction of British and French Culture. During this time of warfare, an
Englishman by the name of Thomas Tuberville, [was] taken prisoner by the French
in 1295, [and] was released on the condition that he act as a spy at the English court
where, however, he eventually aroused suspicion, was arrested, tried, and executed

To support this claim, I plan to focus on Joan of Arc Letter to the English on the 22
nd of March 1429, Allmond s exploration of hosting laws and Roger Bacon s letter.
In the letter to the English, Joan of Arc warns the King of England to retract from war
or expect to face physical violence. Despite Joan of Arc later downfall by treason,
her letter as a servant of the French kingdom illustrates that nationalism grew at the
expense of rigid international relations. In order to further explore the international
animosity that grew, as well I plan to explore the hosting laws [that were
established] whereby alien merchants would be kept under effective guard by
being obliged to go to host with known and reliable Englishmen who would vouch
for their good behavior while they were residing in England due to a fear of spies
(Allmond,43). Lastly Roger Bacon in his letter, on the other hand, elaborates on how
authors hid their secrets by means of special letters, devised by their own ingenuity
and will, and different from those which are anywhere in use ending the once
promoted admiration of military skills during the prominence of chivalry
francis of assisi Essay
Francis of Assisi was a poor man who astounded and inspired the Church by taking
the gospel literally not in a narrow fundamentalist sense, but by actually following
all that Jesus said and did, joyfully, without limit and without a mite of self
importance. Francis was famous for his love of all creation. He called for simplicity
of life, poverty, and humility before God. He worked to care for the poor. Thousands
were drawn to his sincerity, piety, and joy. In all his actions, Francis sought to follow
fully and literally the way of lifedemonstrated by Christ in the Gospels. My report is
going to discuss the life and contributions of St. Francisof Assisi.

He got his first chance when Assisi declared war on their longtime enemy, the
nearby town of Perugia. When Francis was just barely twenty years old, he fought
in the war between Assisi and Perugia and was taken prisoner. Most of the troops
from Assisi were butchered in the fight. Only those wealthy enough to expect to be
ransomed were taken prisoner. At last Francis was among the nobility like he
always wanted to be, but chained in a harsh, dark dungeon. All accounts say that
he never lost his happy manner in that horrible place. Finally, after a year in the
dungeon, he was ransomed. Strangely, the experience didn t seem to change him.
He gave himself to partying with as much joy and abandon as he had before the
battle. That period shaped the young man s soul and the weaker his body became,
the more deeply his sense of charity and love towards others took root in him. By
the time he returned to Assisi, he was seriously ill. His mother s loving care and
time itself brought him back to health, but the carefree life he had led before and
which had started again by now, seemed empty to him. Driven by his dreams of
being a soldier, he decided to follow a condottiere to the southern region of Apulia,
but when he had gotten as far as Spoleto, the Lord appeared to him one night in a
dream and ordered him to turn back. The words of God echoed in his mind like a
summons. This marked the beginning of his gradual

Its being frequently used has made the exact definition of awareness been left
undetermined. Nevertheless, the term of awareness is perpetually accompanied
with the level of knowledge, as seen the studies of Aadam T. Aris (2012), Joyce
K.H. Nga (2010) and Indrani R. Halady, 2010), or with certain level of engagement
in the practice (Faisal Talib, 2012), or recognition and assigning oneself to the
subject matter (Gudmundur Aevar Oddsson, 2010), or understanding and perception
(Diana Bowman, 2007), or exposure to subject without in depth knowledge (Donna
Morrison, 2012) or even relating awareness to the fact of knowing the existence of
the subject matter, differentiating it from knowledge (Akinniyi A. Adeleke, 2012). A
research was also conducted to investigate a level of awareness by asking the
respondents to rate their performance as to prove their level of awareness towards
their physical activities, and this was even validated with heart rate monitors and
accelerometers (Stef P.J. Kremers, 2008). Appreciation on the other hand brings along
a different dimension. Superficially the term appreciate denotes liking and
preferability. In Alain d Astous (2007), he enjoined the meaning of appreciation with
favoritism, attachment, probability to recommend to others, high rated, love and
pleasure. Besides that, Fagley (2012) in Adler and Fagley (2005) defined
appreciation as acknowledging meaning and value of something an
Culture And Ancient Greek Civilization
Short Paper
Early civilizations of the world started out in Mesopotamia, and they all had very
similar cultures. As these civilizations expanded and migrated, their cultures became
more diverse and dynamic. Three major, early civilizations were the Jews, the
Greeks, and the Egyptians. Each of these civilization s culture was directly influenced
by their religion, environment, and society. The Greeks had a very competitive
culture. This was partly due to the limited resources they had on their mountainous
lands. Because of the limited resources they had, the Greeks had to compete with
one another for the resources to survive. In addition to limited resources, the Greeks
also had unique society that led them to being competitive. They strived for a certain
way to live life that involved individual excellence, and their word for it was aretГЄ.
Greeks wanted to prove themselves and show off their greatness, so they had
religious festivals and events every year in which they competed against one
another. There were many events every year, and as a result they boosted the
competition in the society. Competition was such a major role in Greek culture
that we even see it in their religious beliefs. Greek religion was polytheistic, and in
it we see stories of gods competing against one another to prove who was better,
much like their people. Greeks didn t believe in a happy afterlife unless they were
heroic enough to be granted into the elysian fields. An example of the afterlife
Jean Jacques Rousseau Essay
Jean Jacques Rousseau I was born to a family whose morals distinguished them
from the people. (Josephson 9) Jean Jacques Rousseau was born in Geneva,
Switzerland on June 28, 1712. He became the son of Isaac Rousseau, a plebian
class watchmaker, and Suzanne Bernard, the daughter of a minister who died
shortly after giving birth to him. Rousseau s baptism ceremony was a traditional
one held at St. Peter s Cathedral on July 4, 1712 by the reverend senebies. He had
an elder brother who had a loose character , but Rousseau loved him anyway. At an
early age, Rousseau found a love for reading. His mother had an inheritance of some
money and many romantic books and novels, so those are the first that he read. He

He was next placed as an engraver in April 1725. His master was also a violent
man like his father who fed Rousseau poorly and often treated him harshly. The
young boy developed a menial frame of mind. This apprenticeship lasted for about
four years with the first half consisting of stealing and a lackey spirit, and the
following half Rousseau s love for reading was revived. The more miserable he
became with his master, the more he read. He would play with the other boys on
free days, usually Sundays, and venture out of the city gates. He often came home
just before the drawbridge closed at sundown and twice had to sleep outside the
city. On day on March 14, 1728, Rousseau was late and saw the drawbridge closing.
He yelled to his uncle he would not be returning to his master. Bernard did not try
to stop the boy, who was just over sixteen when he decided to make his journey.
After wandering for several days he fell upon the Roman Catholic priests at
Consignon in Savoy. He was then turned over to Madame de Warens at Annecy,
who sent him to a school in Turin. He wandered several places but in 1730
eventually returned to Madame de Warens. He spent eight years in her household and
it was there that he fully developed his love and taste for music, the enjoyment of
nature, his passion for reading the English,
Local Area Networks (LANs) Essay
Local area networks (LANs).
DEFINITION
The concept of local area networks (LANs) is not new. It represents a logical
development of computer technology. With the advent of microcomputers in the
1980s many office workers began bringing their own disks into work, compromising
data integrity. They also began keeping their own databases, which companies did not
like. The answer was to create a computer network.
A computer network is a group of computers connected together enabling users to
share resources and communicate with each other. Resources can be hardware,
software, or data. Without a network, each employee might require a dedicated
printer connected to his workstation or individual copies of application software ...

The cost for each wireless node is generally higher than a conventional LAN node.
LAN devices
Today, LANs use sophisticated programs that permit several users to work with
the same resources at the same time. This can include hard disk drives, printers,
plotters, software, etc. LANs are composed of various components performing
specific tasks so each user can access shared resources. Generally, every component
in a network is called a node. Each node is further identified by the specific task it
performs. A user s node is called a terminal or a workstation. This can be a
dumb device, meaning it has no operating system, just a monitor and keyboard, or a
smart node, meaning it can do it s own computing because of an internal central
processor.
A server is a node on the network that provides services to the users of that network.
A server will manage hardware and software resources or monitor the exchange of
information through a network. Each server will respond to the requests of a user
and provide a service, like printing a document or retrieving a stored file. There are
two basic types of servers: Dedicated and Non dedicated. A dedicated server
performs a specific task or function all the time where as a non dedicated server
functions in other capacities. A network with servers that are strictly dedicated is
called a Client Server Network.
A network where services are provided by user s
Homeowner s Identity In Wichita, Kansas-Personal
Narrative
In Wichita, Kansas, in the early 2000 s, a man walked into a police station and
exposed himself to the cops that he was an undercover agent who had recently
taken the identity of a local homeowner. The man gave them the police the address
of the house that he was currently staying at. Therefore, if anyone was to report him
as an impostor or state that he had broken into the house, the police would not have
to investigate, as he had already come in to expose his situation. Later on, no one
really understood why he decided to turned himself in so the cops sent a unit of
police to the address he had given them to see what was going on. They found the
same man, that turned himself in earlier, living there under the original homeowner s
identity.
The Dangers Of Residential Schools In Canada
80 Residential schools were developed and established all across Canada in 1931,
and slowly over the years, about 150 000 First Nation students attend the different
schools. This happened because many believed that education was one of the biggest
factors to assimilation, and so the Canadian Parliament changed the Indian Act
requiring all children, ranging the ages of seven to fifteen to go to school . The
biggest concerns for the Indigenous at the time was that they had to trek thousands of
kilometres from home to the nearest school, unknown of the dangers these parents
were sending their children into. At these academic schools, English was stressed to
speak when interacting with others while native tongue and language was banned ,
due to the fact, most of these schools were ran by churches. Also because these
schools were ran by these churches, Christian religion and ideals were emphasized,
while Aboriginal Spirituality and culture was condemned. These poor kids were
separated from everything they knew about growing up, and they just threw them
into a curriculum and material that is so very different from what they knew and
would get penalize from not understanding and would feel like they were an outsider.
And they would have to deal with this on the daily. And what made it worse was the
fact that many of these teachers were harsh and cruel towards these students, hurting
them physically, mentally or sexually, causing trauma they d never forget in their
lives. The

  • 1. Essays On Feminism Crafting an essay on the topic of feminism is a challenging endeavor. It requires a deep understanding of the complex and multifaceted nature of feminism as a social, political, and cultural movement. To adequately address the topic, one must delve into historical contexts, explore various feminist theories, examine current issues and debates, and consider intersectionality—the interconnectedness of gender with other social identities such as race, class, sexuality, and ability. Moreover, writing on feminism demands sensitivity and awareness of the diverse experiences and perspectives within the movement. It necessitates navigating potentially contentious issues with nuance and respect, acknowledging privilege and power dynamics, and striving for inclusivity and representation. Furthermore, the ever-evolving nature of feminism adds another layer of difficulty. As societal norms shift and new challenges emerge, staying updated and relevant becomes crucial. Balancing traditional feminist ideologies with emerging discourses and intersectional approaches requires meticulous research and critical analysis. Additionally, the personal implications of discussing feminism can't be ignored. Writing on such a topic often prompts introspection, challenging one's own beliefs and biases. It requires courage to confront uncomfortable truths and engage in meaningful self-reflection. In conclusion, tackling an essay on feminism demands intellectual rigor, empathy, cultural competency, and a commitment to social justice. It's a journey that requires both scholarly inquiry and personal introspection, making it a formidable task for any writer. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. And that s just one streaming platform, there are others platforms, like YouTube gaming, just to name one. But streaming is traditionally something that was done from a PC and pc games like DOTA, Counterstrike, and StarCraft dominate the streaming scene. It only has dimensions of 0.4 by 0.6 inches which it makes slightly more compact than the average streaming mic; but that is understandable given that this mic is intended for consoles first and foremost. It feels light in your hand, and can easily be moved around. Furthermore, because it is a USB mic, it is very easy to maneuver the mic, or just completely change your entire setup. In terms of look the Turtle Beach does not have very many options at the moment; there are only two color options, black or silver. It is not revolutionary by any means, and it looks fairly standard in terms of design, size, and appearance. But overall, it is a decent, compact streaming mic. Universal compatibility While many of Turtle Beach s headsets have worked with both Sony consoles and Microsoft consoles, Turtle Beach has gun to lean towards Sony in terms of console headsets; just two years ago Turtle Beach agreed to manufacture Sony s official PS4 headsets. But console gamers will be happy to know that the digital streaming mic works on any console. The mic boasts universal plug and play compatibility with PlayStation,

Victimized: Aggressive behavior is a major factor in short and long term physical and mental health, education, and long term adult relationships, and work opportunities. Repetitive aggressive and victimization increases the risk of reduced self esteem, anxiety, depression and social isolation and poor physical health including substance abuse and suicide. Bystanders become desensitized to anti social behaviors, or becoming bullies themselves. Many bystanders make excuses for the behavior to stay on the favored side (Coloroso, 2011 pg38). Bulling often incurs no immediate consequence therefore celebrated by those who indulge in the behavior, actively or passively, whilst the bullied hide in the shadows. Perpetrator: The Perpetrator will display internalized symptoms. Perpetrators of aggressive behavior become desensitized to aggression through having their behavior validated by friends and bystanders (J.F. Sigurdson and co authors 2016). This makes the bully feel superior to others loosing empathy for others considered beneath them. Perpetrators of aggressive behavior lack social skills of negotiation, fair play, or compromise leading to the belief that aggression is the only way to get the desired result. This inability to create equable settings amongst peers forms social isolation and depression. The perpetrator internalizes these traits so as not to appear weak to maintain the façade of strength and
  • 6. Differences Between Race, Class, Gender, And Aging In our society, we all come from different places, different genders, and many different ages. It s safe to say that we are all different in our ways, but if we involve of all of the different stratifications how are they related? In one of my views, race, class, gender, and aging are all related in a way that at times they are hard to change. Aging is something we can t stop no matter what culture, class, gender. The children of the Mountains for example, where families deal with overwhelming weather conditions, and lack of food, with very short life spans. Class, race, and gender organize society as a whole and create a variety of contexts for family living through their unequal distribution of social opportunities. Gender, like class and

He spent most of his time either writingsports stories on his new machine or frolicking in the boggy wetlands of the Everglades. However, Hiaasen became enraged after frequently watching the national park being demolished for new highways, shopping malls, and resorts year after year. Soon, he attended Emory University, where he wrote satirical humor columns on the student newspaper. • 8. John Marshall Essay The late 1700s and early 1800s was a critical time period in American history in which our newly independent nation was beginning to lay down the groundwork for how the country would run. During this time, America was in its infancy and its crucial first steps would dictate how the nation would either walk, run, or retreat. John Marshall, the fourth Chief Justice of the Unites States, was a highly important and influential political figure whose decisions forever molded the future of the American judicial system. Like many other great political figures, much of John Marshall s influence can be attributed to timing; he emerged just as the United States Constitutioncame into existence. John Marshall was born in Virginia in 1755 to a large... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before the Marshall Court, the United States Supreme Court functioned much like the courts in England in which more than one judge offered his decision on the case at hand. Shortly after becoming Chief Justice, Marshall changed this English tradition so that only one opinion was delivered by one of the justices, most often the Chief Justice (Rehnquist 40). By changing this tradition John Marshall set the U.S. Supreme Court apart from the English Courts at the time and began to define our unique judicial system. The overall influence of the Supreme Court under John Marshall can be understood through the five main court cases over which he presided; Marbury v. Madison (1803), Fletcher v. Peck (1810), Dartmouth College v. Woodward (1819), McCulloch v. Maryland (1819), and Gibbons v. Ogden (1824). The first significant case Marshall was faced with was Marbury v. Madison in 1803. In the last few days of his presidency, John Adams appointed members of the Federalist Party to the new offices he created within the judicial branch. When Thomas Jefferson took office he told James Madison, his secretary of state, not to deliver the unsent commissions to some of the midnight appointments , one of who was William Marbury. He appealed to the Supreme Court, asking for a court order that would require Madison to send out the commission, which was part of his job. The Judiciary Act of 1789 supported Marbury s demands because it authorized the Supreme Court to order

As mentioned by Scott McCloud, young kids read books with many pictures, and as they develop into adults, they read books with less and less pictures, but is this the best way to read stories? There is a better method to read a story, and that method is through comics. In McCloud s graphic essay Show and Tell, McCloud proves that through the use of both writing and illustrations in comics, comics are the best form of literature to convey a story. By proving this, McCloud demonstrates how visual representation is very important while conveying a message, as it provides a bigger range of emotionand expression. As humans, we like creativity and emotions and thus, visual representation in communication is important in our society. In Scott McCloud s graphic essay, Show and Tell, he explains how words and images work together in the form of comics to convey a message. An example where he demonstrates this is during the first 16 slides. Without the use of images, the reader would not know what s going on because the boy is not specific in his dialogue. Without the use of words, the reader would have no context about what s going on in the pictures. A great analogy that McCloud uses on page 745 is that words and images are like dancers. He explains how both partners work together and support each other s strengths so that they can be presented well as a

Conversely, Marx also acknowledges that these new freedmen became sellers of themselves only after they had been robbed of all their own means of production, and of all the guarantees of existence afforded by the old feudal system...Just as man is governed, in religion, by the products of his own brain, so, in capitalist production, he is governed by the products of his own hand...within the capitalist system all methods for raising the social productiveness of labor are brought about at the cost of the individual laborer; all means for the development of production transform themselves into means of domination over, and exploitation of, the producers; they mutilate the laborer into a fragment of a man, degrade him to the level of an appendage of a machine...they transform his lifetime into working time, and drag his wife and child beneath the wheels of the Juggernaut of capital... Accumulation of wealth is at one pole, therefore, at the same time accumulation of misery, agony of toil slaver, ignorance, brutality, mental degradation, at the opposite pole, i.e., one the side of the class that produces its own product in the form of capital. • 32. Car Seat Safety Considerations Car Seat Installation: Making Safety a Priority Sarah A. Sherwin Denver School of Nursing Car Seat Installation: Making Safety a Priority A.) Every year thousands of children are injured or even killed due to a car not being properly installed or not following the guidelines to ensure safety. In all the excitement of getting the car seat at baby showers, picking up the color and style the family wants, sometimes safety is easily forgotten. Families do not realize it can be challenging to put a car seat in their vehicle. Even before a seat is bought, it is crucial for the parents to research what seat is best and what one has high safety standards. It is important to know how the car seat was scored in safety rating tests. The family I personally taught had the base of car seat installed correctly, they had verbalized how it fit in the vehicle and understood the baby needed to be in rear facing car seat. However in the actual car seat baby was not fit snuggly in the car seat. The chest straps were not at armpit height, instead resting on the stomach. They had added extra blankets around the baby and baby was wearing a heavy sweater to leave hospital. All ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I could tell they wanted to do what was best for baby and make sure baby is safe at all times in car. The learning took place in their room, it was quiet, bright and no other distractions were going on. The whole process from start to end took almost an hour. The health status of the learners was positive and the timing was great because they were ready for discharge and to be on their
  • 33. E. Coli Have you ever wondered why people are always talking about E. coli, what it is, and how you can get it? What are the conditions this bacteria lives in? These interesting questions led the investigator to find out which material inhibits E. coli replication in an aqueous environment the most. E. coli (also known as escherichia coli) is a bacteria that normally lives in the intestines of people and animals named after Dr. Theodor Escherich. Most E. coli are harmless and actually are vital to a healthy human intestinal tract. However, some E. coli are pathogenic, meaning they can cause either diarrhea or illness outside of the intestinal tract(cdc.gov). According to Food Safety.gov, you can get E. coli by eating contaminated food, especially undercooked ground beef,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... coli like to live at body temperature (37.4ВєC), can obtain energy from a wide variety of sources, don t need oxygen to survive, and under ideal conditions, individual E. coli cells can double every 20 minutes. At that rate, it would be possible to produce a million E. coli cells from one parent cell within about 7 hours(The University of Waikato). These pollutants in the water will not only affect those insects who are able to walk on water , but the birds and other animals that feed on these insects. Many shorebirds use the surface tension of water to move their prey to the surface of the water. The birds swim in small, fast circle on the surface of the water, creating a vortex that pulls creatures up within their reach, where they peck and eat them (Choi 32). To determine how E. coli develops in different environments, the researcher will be investigating how E. coli inhibits different materials in an aqueous environment. During the experiment, the researcher will then calculate the colonies in a 1 centimeter radius in the most dense spot of the petri dishes of each material. Then he will find the averages of the 3 petri dishes of each material and compare with the results of each

Local Revenue Sharing and Competitive Balance Local Revenue Sharing and Competitive Balance Problem Statement Your textbook shows the conditions that lead to increased competitive balance with an increase in local revenue sharing. Data exist on competitive balance and local revenue sharing so you can examine this for yourself. New local revenue sharing plans were put in place in MLB for the 1995 season and another increase in revenue sharing was in place for the 2001 season. These changes create a natural experiment for analyzing the impact of changes in local revenue sharing on competitive balance. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Explain fully. [Present the relevant chart and refer to it directly in your answer.] The scatter chart looks like this: Look first at 1995. In the NL, the SD had been falling since before the new sharing arrangement. In the AL, the SD fell for a couple of years only. So, maybe sharing made the difference in the AL, but not for long. Now look at 2000. Again, in the NL, the SD had been falling since before the new sharing arrangement. The same is true in the AL. But the SD jumped dramatically from there on in the AL. Most recently, it is true that the SD in both leagues has fallen. So, there is a bit of evidence that sharing enhanced balance, but it isn t an unmitigated success. 4. Do the averages you calculated in Part B add anything to your conclusions about the impact of increased local revenue sharing on competitive balance. [Present the relevant table of averages and percentage changes and refer to it directly in your answer.] The averages help us to see a bit easier: | | Averages| | | | League| 1990 94| 1995 2000| %Change| 2001 05| %Change| AL| 0.061| 0.071| 17.0%| 0.092| 30.1%| NL| 0.070| 0.068| 1.8%| 0.071| 4.1%| It looks like the only real evidence of enhanced balance is in the NL and then it really is just a flattening out for the first period of local sharing (1995 2000). Balance worsened dramatically in the AL for this first revenue sharing experiment. For the altered arrangment in 2000,

Food Additives Have Been Used For Centuries INTRODUCTION Food additives have been used for centuries to help preserve foods, improve flavor and texture, and enhance the nutritional value in food. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has a list of over 3,000 food additives that are safe for consumption by humans. Sample 3 was organic 100% orange juice blended with concentrate. The final experiment was conducted to understand how enzymes are used in food, specifically cheese, production. Enzymes are proteins that act as a catalyst and bring about chemical reactions. (4) The enzyme Rennin, which comes from the lining of a cow s stomach, causes the protein in milk to coagulate. This coagulation is what forms curds in order to make cheese. In the production of cheese, milk is treated with buttermilk to lower the pH. Before being treated, the pH of milk is around 6.7 which makes it slightly acidic. The range of pH for milk used to make cheese would be between 4.1 to 5.3. The same can be said of brass players, but one other aspect lies in the amount of space between the teeth. If enough space between the teeth is not present, especially with young brass players, an unpleasant buzzing sound will occur, once again hindering a beautiful tone. The directors of vocalists push and push for more space in the mouth and throat, especially with young singers that want to sound like the next greatest pop artist. The music performed in the context of concerts and contests at the high school and middle school level, however, need just the opposite. Scales are learned at a brisk tempo for auditions and at the collegiate level, technique books and extended technique exercises are studied. These are used to not only warm up air, but to also warm up the fingers and gain dexterity. For vocalists, similar processes occur. Before rehearsing, vocalists use warmups; most of which are based on scales, arpeggios and other theory points. They are used to warm up the voice, and get performers aware of their breathing and voice flexibility. All of these are extremely similar to their voice counterparts. Some

As these civilizations expanded and migrated, their cultures became more diverse and dynamic. Three major, early civilizations were the Jews, the Greeks, and the Egyptians. Each of these civilization s culture was directly influenced by their religion, environment, and society. The Greeks had a very competitive culture. This was partly due to the limited resources they had on their mountainous lands. Because of the limited resources they had, the Greeks had to compete with one another for the resources to survive. He became the son of Isaac Rousseau, a plebian class watchmaker, and Suzanne Bernard, the daughter of a minister who died shortly after giving birth to him. Rousseau s baptism ceremony was a traditional one held at St. Peter s Cathedral on July 4, 1712 by the reverend senebies. He was next placed as an engraver in April 1725. His master was also a violent man like his father who fed Rousseau poorly and often treated him harshly. The young boy developed a menial frame of mind. This apprenticeship lasted for about four years with the first half consisting of stealing and a lackey spirit, and the following half Rousseau s love for reading was revived. The more miserable he became with his master, the more he read. He would play with the other boys on free days, usually Sundays, and venture out of the city gates. He often came home just before the drawbridge closed at sundown and twice had to sleep outside the city. On day on March 14, 1728, Rousseau was late and saw the drawbridge closing. He yelled to his uncle he would not be returning to his master. Bernard did not try to stop the boy, who was just over sixteen when he decided to make his journey. After wandering for several days he fell upon the Roman Catholic priests at Consignon in Savoy. He was then turned over to Madame de Warens at Annecy, who sent him to a school in Turin. • 51. Local Area Networks (LANs) Essay Local area networks (LANs). DEFINITION The concept of local area networks (LANs) is not new. It represents a logical development of computer technology. With the advent of microcomputers in the 1980s many office workers began bringing their own disks into work, compromising data integrity. They also began keeping their own databases, which companies did not like. The answer was to create a computer network. A computer network is a group of computers connected together enabling users to share resources and communicate with each other. Resources can be hardware, software, or data. Without a network, each employee might require a dedicated printer connected to his workstation or individual copies of application software ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The cost for each wireless node is generally higher than a conventional LAN node. LAN devices Today, LANs use sophisticated programs that permit several users to work with the same resources at the same time. This can include hard disk drives, printers, plotters, software, etc. LANs are composed of various components performing specific tasks so each user can access shared resources. Generally, every component in a network is called a node. Each node is further identified by the specific task it performs. A user s node is called a terminal or a workstation. This can be a dumb device, meaning it has no operating system, just a monitor and keyboard, or a smart node, meaning it can do it s own computing because of an internal central processor. A server is a node on the network that provides services to the users of that network. A server will manage hardware and software resources or monitor the exchange of information through a network. Each server will respond to the requests of a user and provide a service, like printing a document or retrieving a stored file. There are two basic types of servers: Dedicated and Non dedicated. A dedicated server performs a specific task or function all the time where as a non dedicated server functions in other capacities. A network with servers that are strictly dedicated is called a Client Server Network. A network where services are provided by user s

Homeowner s Identity In Wichita, Kansas-Personal Narrative In Wichita, Kansas, in the early 2000 s, a man walked into a police station and exposed himself to the cops that he was an undercover agent who had recently taken the identity of a local homeowner. The man gave them the police the address of the house that he was currently staying at. Therefore, if anyone was to report him as an impostor or state that he had broken into the house, the police would not have to investigate, as he had already come in to expose his situation. Later on, no one really understood why he decided to turned himself in so the cops sent a unit of police to the address he had given them to see what was going on. They found the same man, that turned himself in earlier, living there under the original homeowner s identity.
  • 53. The Dangers Of Residential Schools In Canada 80 Residential schools were developed and established all across Canada in 1931, and slowly over the years, about 150 000 First Nation students attend the different schools. This happened because many believed that education was one of the biggest factors to assimilation, and so the Canadian Parliament changed the Indian Act requiring all children, ranging the ages of seven to fifteen to go to school . The biggest concerns for the Indigenous at the time was that they had to trek thousands of kilometres from home to the nearest school, unknown of the dangers these parents were sending their children into. At these academic schools, English was stressed to speak when interacting with others while native tongue and language was banned , due to the fact, most of these schools were ran by churches. Also because these schools were ran by these churches, Christian religion and ideals were emphasized, while Aboriginal Spirituality and culture was condemned. These poor kids were separated from everything they knew about growing up, and they just threw them into a curriculum and material that is so very different from what they knew and would get penalize from not understanding and would feel like they were an outsider. And they would have to deal with this on the daily. And what made it worse was the fact that many of these teachers were harsh and cruel towards these students, hurting them physically, mentally or sexually, causing trauma they d never forget in their lives.
