Strong hypotheses give insight into a research question and give a hint on what
we will find when we answer the research question. A hypothesis gives therefore an
a priori answer to the research question. Punch (1998) makes the following
connection between hypothesis and research question: A specific research question
states what we are trying to find out. The hypothesis predicts, a priori, the answer
to that question. Punch (1998) suggest that we do not need a hypothesis in any
case. It only makes sense when we have an explanation in mind behind the
hypothesis. A further question we should ask is what answer we expect and why. If
we expect a certain answer only because previous research has found it to be true,

In order to incite suspenseful feelings and include elements of Sci Fi,
cinematography and sound design were used. The fact that there isn t sound or
dialogue in the sequence and that the monster is never shown greatly increases the

The Importance Of Physical Touch In Education
As a future educator, it s important to understand not only the material you will be
covering in class, but to thoroughly know the students you are teaching. To fully
understand your students, an educator must be aware of their physical, social, and
cognitive development. This class helped me to recognize that throughout a childs
life, many developmental factors such as physical touch as an infant, the need to play
as a child and how they handle death can all affect a child s educational journey.

Governor Mitt Romney will ultimately decide the state bans fate, yet he has not
confirmed which way he leans on this issue.
Many Boston bar and club owners who opposed a city ban now look forward to the
statewide ban in hopes that clientele will return, but most owners had no problem
with the smoking to begin with.
I d rather have smoking be allowed to make the customers happy, said Irish born
Milan O Shay, a bartender at the Flann O Brian s Pub in Mission Hill. But since that
won t be happening, a statewide ban gives less of competitive edge to the other
towns in the area that have yet to ban smoking.

on their father s actions and opinions. She also teaches them all men aren t the same,
and their boyfriends and husbands truly love them.

Oprah is one of my role models for my career. I want to go into social work. I want to
help families and children.
She has persevered and helped others in her rough life. Most people would say she
was memorable for being down to earth. She became the highest paid performer on
television, the richest self made woman in America, and the richest African
American of the 20th century. The Wall Street Journal wrote, It s a relief to see a
gab monger with a fond but realistic assessment of her own cultural and religious
