A study involving 252 participants undergoing the course Biological Psychology was
carried out in order to examine the correlation between sensitivity to reward (SP),
Body Mass Index (BMI), weight and more frequent consumption of unhealthy fast
foods, (e.g., high in fat and sugar). The core results showed the participants found that
sensitivity to reward was strongly negatively correlated with BMI and weight.
However, both these correlations are not statistically significant at the 95%
confidence level. Alongside this finding, sensitivity to reward was positively
correlated with unhealthy fast foods, which leads to more frequent consumption of
fatty and sugar rich foods. These values were also not statistically significant. This
research needs to consider gender balance inequality, environmental cues such the
accessibility of fast food (e.g., the amount and distance these restaurants are from
their home residence) and one time collection of data used.

The Role Of A Superintendent Within A School District
Introduction Much of this clinical experience has been examining the specific role of
a superintendent within a school district. I found that the reflections as part of the
weekly journal to of particular interest and benefit as I examined he Guiding
Questions for this final synthesis essay. Interestingly, my colleagues in this course
found these reflectionsnot to be beneficial. During one of our class meetings it was
noted that these were not a beneficial exercise and that reflectionwas not needed. To
that, I would counter that reflection s always needed but it is often the easiest item
to overlook. In our hectic administrative world, it is easy to become buried in
Administrivia. Often we do not event take a moment to move from one crisis to the
next. Reflection is the only way we can halt the inexorable march to the end. I for
one, was pleased that we were asked to reflect on each week. I took this as an
opportunity to examine the actions of the superintendentand, in a risk free
environment, provide my perspective on the positive or negative actions observed or
experienced. Hopefully the observations and judgments in those weekly journals
remain an academic exercise and not a communique to my superintendent. As I re
read the journal entries and focus them with the lens of the guiding questions, I have
some final thoughts about my qualifications and idiosyncrasies that may come into

Eliezer Yudkowsky once said, You are personally responsible for becoming more

taking to promote social justice. Though I have yet to make a humongous
contribution to the progress of society, I am steadily working towards it. The need
for social justice is everywhere due to the acts of injustice that people, primarily
minorities, face every day. This includes police brutality, racism, and discrimination.

hanging from a tree in Piedmont Park. Policeruled his death as a suicide, but of
course everyone, including myself, suspected foul play. In addition to Michael s
death, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile were both killed earlier that week. Both
whom were unarmed and not disturbing any peace, yet were still shot and killed by
the police. In response to all three of their deaths, protests erupted throughout
downtown Atlanta. The day of the protest, my grandma and I were both watching the

opposite ideas, held by the culture, but creating tension within it the raw and the
