Sequence Pattern
In sequence pattern I got a score of 27 which means I use that pattern first. In precision pattern I
got a score of 29 which means I also use that pattern first. My score for the technical reasoning
pattern was 8 which means I usually avoid it. In confluence pattern I got a score of 22 which
means I use it as needed. With all my scores combined it makes me a dynamic learner. An
example of when I used the Sequence Pattern was when I was in high school and I was in a
CNA class doing job shadowing for the first time. I asked what exactly I was expected to do;
what my job duties were as a shadowing student . I was nervous, of course, so I asked my
teacher, whom was a long time nurse, what I was supposed to be doing exactly. She explained to
me and the other students in detail that we were to help the elderly in and out of bed, to and
from the restroom, to get them dressed and to get them to and from the cafeteria for lunch. That
sounded simple enough so we all got started helping the residents and some of the CNA s who
worked there had a completely different way of doing things, not the exact way as shown by our
teacher. I don t like when people do things differently then how I have been shown and then expect
me to do it that way as well. I had to just adjust to it and do it... Show more content on

Analyzing Black Liberation Theology, Latin American...
Liberation Theology
Black Liberation Theology, Latin American Liberation Theology, and Feminist Theology
Liberation theology comprises of two main principles: it recognizes the call for liberation from any
form of oppression economic, political, and social: second, it says that theology must grow from the
basic Christian communities and not from above. Liberation theology examines the theological
meaning of human activities, which includes an explanation of the Christian faith out of suffering,
struggle and hopes for the poor, critiques the society and its ideologies that sustaining its existence.
In addition, it also reflects on the activities of the church from a perspective of the poor.
Liberation lies at three levels of meaning which have a correlation. Liberation at the social and
political level, it states on the oppressed classes and people. It emphasizes on the conflict that
arises from the economic, social, and political process that happens between the oppressed and
oppressors. At the human level, liberation emerges as a historical process that shows the conscious
development of people on their own through social changes. At the religious level, liberation means
being free from sin the main source of all alienation from fraternity and the source of all oppression
and injustice. This last form of liberation brings man into communion with God. The three processes
are inseparable and form a unique complex process (Hillar, 2000).

The New Rules Prevent Investors From The Stock Market
Despite HFT obviously has many positive impact on market, like increased liquidity, improved
market efficiency even increased fee for exchanges. Regulators more concern about risk come
from HFT in China s equity market. Though, some risks or negative impacts not really come from
high frequency traders. As show in the above example, investors were restricted open a position
less than 10 lots result in transaction volume shrank. The new rules prevent investors from
participating in the market. Fewer investors will lead to the price distortion. HFT is not the enemy
of stock market. If Chinese authorities want the market more healthy, they should hold a positive
attitude toward HFT considering HFT has been gaining global popularity.

According to statistics from Bank of Japan, HFT account for more than 50 percent in Tokyo Stock

than attempting to restrict HFT in the market, Japan has made upgrades to its trading system

market information distribution, achieves an order execution time of 5 milliseconds and

The Pros And Cons Of Protective Tariffs
First, one of the restrictions to free trade is tariff. According to Menlo Atherton High School
(2015), a tax that is put on imported goods from abroad is known as tariff. Tariff is used to raise
the price of imported goods so that the domestic producers can sell their similar goods at higher
prices. Domestic government will be the one collecting the money that is received from tariff.
Protective tariffs and revenue tariffs are the types of tariff. Protective tariffs are put on imported
goods so that it will be more expensive. It is used to protect the domestic industries from the
competition of foreign firms. Revenue tariffs are used to raise money for government (Menlo
Atherton High School, 2015). The benefit of tariffs are uneven due to tariff is a tax. Besides that
government is benefited, domestic industries are benefit from it as well due to the reduction of
competition from foreign productions. It is because of the increased prices of the imported
products. However, it is unfortunate for the consumers because the higher price of goods is due to
higher import price. Tariff tends to bring advantages for government and producers but not to the...

According to Menlo Atherton High School (2015), a quota is a limit on the number of goods that
can be shipped in. A quota seems like a sensible alternative to a tariff when the intention is to restrict
foreign producersВ’ access to the domestic market. Importers typically are limited to a maximum
amount of products that they can sell in the home market over specific periods. A quota, similar to a
tariff, causes costs to increase in the home market. This induces domestic producers to increase
production and consumers to reduce consumption. One difference between a tariff and a quota is
that the tariff generates revenue for the government, while the quota generates a revenue gain to the
owner of import licenses. Consequently, foreign producers might capture some of this

Essay about America and the Normandy Invasion
The year was 1944, and the United States had now been an active participant in the war against
Nazi Germany for almost three and a half years. During this time, numerous battles had occurred
which were fought with determination and intensity on both sides. Amongst the many invasions of
World War II, there is one day which stands out more in the minds of many American soldiers than
the others. That day was June 6, 1944, more commonly known as D Day, part of the invasion of
Normandy, known as Operation Overlord. This operation was the largest amphibious assault in
history. It was a day in which thousands of young Americans, who poured onto the beaches of
France, matured faster than they would have ever imagined. They were not prepared for... Show

Troops, armour, and equipment arrivals were timed to the minute. Naval barrage landed first on
the beach at 6:30 a.m., immediately followed by thirty two light assault tanks known as DD
tanks to further subdue fortified positions and provide cover for the oncoming troops (These
were held on large freight boats known as LCTs). In the wake of this attack came the American
2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry in twenty Higgens boats, another type of transport designed to hold a
thirty man team. They were followed by the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry, bringing engineers and
naval demolition teams in thirty two more Higgens boats.6 Wave after wave of troops and
equipment, containing bulldozers, and the light and mobile Sherman Tank (see appendix B)
continued to arrive. Before the assaults began, the planners, including Allied Commander
Dwight D. Eisenhower, hoped everything would stick to the precise schedule. This hope was
not a reality, as some craft landed too late, others too early, and some off course as far as a
kilometre south of the target. There were many factors which resulted in the wronging of the time
table. Tides, wind, waves, and a thick cover of smoke were all partially responsible for the trouble,
while the largest factor were the mines placed just off

Order vs. Chaos in Greek Mythology
Order vs. Chaos
Respected Storm God s in ancient mythological literary works such as the Enuma Elish, The Baal
Cycle, and both versions of the Illuyanka Myth play an important role in associating cultural
beliefs with the defeat of chaos. These three works show a variety of ways in which the Storm God
defeats dragon like monsters and how the gods bestow their trust in the Storm God to maintain
order, as the Storm God is the protector of all creation. The purpose of this essay is to compare
and contrast these three literary works to demonstrate the defeat of order over chaos. In the
Babylonian Enuma Elish, Marduk, the Storm God defeats the dragon like monster Tiamat. In the
Ugaritic Baal Cycle, the Storm God, Baal, defeats the serpent Yam.... Show more content on

As stated by the author, [Tiamat] elevated Kingu, made him chief among them. The leader of the
ranks, command of the Assembly, the raising of weapons for the encounter, to combat, to direct
the battle, to control the fight. Tiamat prepares for battle against one of her own, one of her
offspring; she defies family and is ready to fight. As stated by the author, Tiamat prepares for battle
against the gods, her offspring. In both version one of the Illuyanka Myth and in the Enuma Elish,
the serpents use their children to assist in defeat against the Storm God.
The battle between Baal and Yam in The Baal Cycle can also be comparable to the battle
between Marduk and Tiamat in the Enuma Elish. In The Baal Cycle, Yam sends for El to try
and have Baal surrender to Yam. The gods are afraid of Yam, just like the gods are afraid of
Tiamat in the Enuma Elish. The author in The Baal Cycle writes Sea sent two
messengers...Leave, lads, do not turn back; now head toward the Assembly in council, at the
center of the mountain of night. Do not fall at El s feet. Yam wants to take Baal s place and
stature along with his power, and El agrees. Yam says to El El, give up the one you are hiding,
give up Baal and his powers, the son of Dagon: I will assume his inheritance. Baal refuses and
conquers the serpent with the two clubs presented to him by Kothar instead of surrendering to the
serpent s request. In the Enuma Elish, Tiamat uses a similar approach to try and get Marduk

Social Policy Within The Global Economy
When discussing social policy within the current global economy, it s quite impossible to ignore the
effects of globalisation on nation states but also in the overall global economy in relation to
poverty, environmental changes, trade, culture etc. Globalisation is a highly contested term due to
its broad definition which causes confusion as to what it actually means (Gills, 2002; Higgot,
1999). Yeates (2002) refers to globalisation as the loosening of boundaries of things such as trade,
labour and migration and further goes on to speak of strong globalisation to indicate the intensity
and inevitable nature especially in relation to the constraints globalisation poses on national
governments and the policymaking process. Events such as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

There will also be a heavy focus on transnational corporations as they are seen as one of the most
important actors in shaping social policy. It is important to remember that globalisation in not only
about economic effects but it can also be discussed in relation to political globalisation and how
political decisions have shifted due to upwards to the European Union and beyond also cultural
globalisation that has seen the Mcdonalization of traditional culture into the international culture of
consumerism (Ritzer,1993).
Ginsburg (2001) looked as social policy within Ireland and the UK and argues that changes that
have occurred within the nation state have been due to neo liberal hegemony. During the 1980 s
under the Margaret Thatcher administration there was an adaptation of neo liberalism as restraints
were put on social expenditure, taxation of individuals and corporations and there was an increase
in the flexibility of labour markets as the markets are seen as wealth creating mechanisms
(Ginsburg, 2001; Cerny and Evans, 2004). The intensification of neo liberal globalisation has left
governments trying to find a balance between competing with demands of economic globalisation
whilst also considering the possible economic and

St. John s Marriage Proposal Essay
When Jane ran away from Rochester she found herself in the care of St. John Rivers. He helps
her when she needs it most. With his help Jane finds a job and gets back on her feet. Eventually
St. John asked her to marry him and work with him in a missionary India. She refuses much to

relationship between St. John and Jane is one that is cold and full of principle. Jane refuses to
marry St. John because she would be trapped inside herself. She would never be able to express
her true passion. With that much independence she loses the freedom to do so. Many women at
the time would have found St. Johns proposal a fantastic opportunity. The ability to be a better

handsome and ambitious. Although he seems like a cold blooded man It still didn t change the

An example of Stetson s great work is seen in her short story, The Yellow Wallpaper, in which

Exegesis and Critique of Nietzsche’s Conception of Guilt...
Exegesis and Critique of Nietzsche s Conception of Guilt In The Second Essay of On the
Genealogy of Morality
In the Second Essay of On the Genealogy of Morals (titled Guilt, Bad Conscience, and the Like ),
Nietzsche formulates an interesting conception of the origin and function of guilt feelings and bad
conscience. Nietzsche s discussion of this topic is rather sophisticated and includes sub arguments
for the ancient equivalence of the concepts of debt and guilt and the existence of an instinctive joy
in cruelty in human beings, as well as a hypothesis concerning the origin of civilization, a critique
of Christianity, and a comparison of Christianity to ancient Greek religion. In this essay, I will
attempt to distill these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important to note that, according to Nietzsche, no moral condemnation was involved in these
punishments for transgression of the morality of mores. Rather, transgressors were viewed merely
as threats and obstacles in the path to the goal of the state. Thus, transgressors were punished
merely out of anger at the injury done, rather than out of moral indignation or attempt to reform the
criminal, while the goal of awakening guilt in criminals not only was not held by these rulers, but
would have been regarded by them as nonsensical (2.4).
At this juncture Nietzsche puts forth the creditor/debtor relationship as an analogy to the
relationship between citizen and state after the latter s establishment. According to this analogy the
citizen and state have entered into an agreement in which the state promises various advantages of
civilization, which are numerous and profound, in return for obedience on the part of the citizen.
When a citizen disobeys, the state s punishment is meted out with the cruel anger of an aggrieved
creditor (2.9).
Significantly, according to Nietzsche, the arousal of guilt feelings in the transgressor is not an
effect of this punishment. Instead, punishment s only result is to increase the greater prudence and
fear of the transgressor. Nietzsche brings forth several pieces of evidence in support of this claim.
The first of these is that prisons are far from being

Animal Death Vs. Old-Earth Creationism
Animal death before the fall may not be found in any of the early Christian s church s orthodox,
but when it comes to the argument over young or old earth creationism, it can be a very defining
issue. Old earth creationists believe animal death was part of God s creation before Adam and
Eve were even created, while young earth creationists reject all death before the Fall. The Old
Earth Creationist view is that Adam s sin led to his spiritual death, which was then followed
eventually by his physical death. Before Adam was created, animal death was not related to man s
salvation or Christ s atonement on the cross. The scriptural support for theses claims are pointed
out in the following verses. In Genesis 2:17 it is written, For in the day that you eat from it you
shall surely die. In this warning to Adam there was no mention of animal death. Adam was the
person whom God was speaking to in this verse. Both John MacArthur, who is a young earth
creationist, and Gleason Archer, an old earth creationist, agree in the sense that this verse was
communicating a spiritual death to Adam, followed by his physical death hundreds of years later.

Solution Of A Weak Acid And Sodium Hydroxide Solution
Objectives:
To conduct a reaction between solutions of a weak acid and sodium hydroxide.
Determine the half way point of titration of an acid base reaction.
To calculate the pKa and the Ka for the weak acid.
To calculate Molar Mass of a weak acid from the titration results.
To determine the identity of a weak acid.
Introduction: The purpose of this experiment is to identify an unknown weak acid by titration with a
standard sodium hydroxide solution.
The pH of the titration solution will be monitored using a pH meter. The resulting titration curve
will then be used to determine the equivalent molecular weight and dissociation constant (Ka ) of

From the titration curve, we can determine the pH at the halfway point of the titration and thus
determine the pKa of the acid. From pKa = пЂLog Ka we can determine the Ka of the acid. Since
this is a diprotic acid, this corresponds to Ka1. This information can be used to help identify the

Comparing Plant Organs And Their Nutrients
Comparing Plant Organs and their Nutrients
Abstract: In this experiment, we wanted to determine the starch and glucose content of different
plant parts including: fruits, stems, leaves, and roots. To do this, we tested a food in each of these
categories with Lugol s and Benedict s solutions after being heated in a hot water bath. The color of
each solution would then be compared to the Lugol s and benedict s indicators to determine how
much starch and glucose is in each. We believed that fruits would have the most starch and glucose
out of the plant parts because of its role in plant reproduction (seed dispersal). Through the
experiment, we discovered that the fruit does have the most glucose, but the roots have the most
starch. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In contrast, there is glucose that is considered a simple sugar or a monosaccharide due to its
structure (Georgia State University). Most foods made of glucose molecules are used as
sources of energy for animals as ATP (Georgia State University). Both these sugars are in our
diets, yet they are quiet different in chemical structure and physical form. This is why a substance
that contains starch, does not always contains glucose (Shorter KR). To test for these two
carbohydrates, two different tests were developed: Lugol s and Benedict s. Lugol s indicates
whether or not a substance contains starch, and if so, how much (Shorter KR). This is determined
based on a color scale (5 different shades), from amber to a bluish black (Shorter KR). The farther
down the scale, the more starch the substance contains. Likewise, the Benedict s solution indicates
the amount of starch as the 8 color shades (light blue to dark green) progress (Shorter KR).
Hypothesis:
вћўIf Lugol s solution is used to test different types of plant parts, then there will be more starch in
the fruits (reproductive parts) than stems, because fruits are where seed dispersal is located which
is a process that requires sugar.
вћўIf Benedict s solution was added to solutions of water and plant parts, then there would be more
glucose found in the fruits rather than the stems because of the function of the fruit during seed
dispersal requires sugar which is glucose makes up.

Muscle Soreness Essay
Muscle Soreness Nearly anyone who works out regularly has experienced sore muscles after
exercise. Sometimes you will feel it later that night, or the next morning and in some cases, you
may actually think you are out of the woods, only to wake up two days later with stiff, tender
muscles that feel as tight as rubber bands. For some people, sore muscles are a reward after a
hard workout. In fact, some people are not happy unless they are sore after their workout, while
others could live without it. Either way, all of us have probably experienced musclesoreness at one
time or another. There are two types of exercise related muscle soreness. Immediate muscle

According to Richard Weil, Med, CDE, the answer is swelling in the muscle compartment that
result from an influx of white blood cells, which are anti inflammatory, and other nutrients and
fluids that flow to the muscle to repair the damage after a tough workout. The type of muscle
referred to is microscopic and is part of the normal process of growth in the body called
anabolism. It is not the type of damage or injury that you see your doctor about. The swelling
and inflammation can build up for days after a workout, and that is why muscle soreness may be
worse two , three, or three or even four days after a workout for muscles to heal completely
depending on the intensity of the workout. Muscle soreness can be prevented with some measure
taken. Start exercise program slowly and exercise for a short time only. Increase your activity a
little each day until personal goal is reach. Once an individual has experienced delayed muscle
soreness at specific exercise intensity, he or she shouldn t encounter that sensation again until the
intensity level is increased. This is because muscle soreness has been shown to produce a rapid
adaptation response, which means that the muscles adapt to a given exercise intensity level. Unless
the exercise intensity level is changed, soreness will not occur. Base on how much intensity level
as individual increase the recommended approach to preventing delayed muscle soreness are as
follows; gradual progression and conservative increases in

Mayan Ruins Research Paper
The Mayan ruins have always been a fascinating ancient structure to me. My family is from
Guatemala so every vacation, we would visit and go see the temples. The history contained in
these pyramids are incredible and how they were built are still a mystery because with the
technology we have today, it would still be a difficult structure to build.
In the Mayan city of Tikal, the Great Plaza, which conquered the Guatemalan jungle, was one of
the most impressive temples. Like other major Mayan centers of the classical period, it was both a
densely populated city and a ceremonial religious center for surrounding villages. Tikal is the most
famous Mayan complex and city and is home to the highest pyramid, Temple IV of the Bicephalon
Serpent with more than 65 meters in height. According to an article written by David Hoffman 4

During the next 1500 years it was an important religious, scientific and political period of time. Its

The Military During World War One
James Frances Ryan is a private of the military during World War One. After his mother has
receive condolences letters stating that three of her four sons have been killed in combat, there
is an urgent need to save private Ryan and bring him home. Throughout this entire film, I felt a
sense of pride and uneasiness. I felt pride because of the fact that our country took into
consideration the way that this mother has to feel after losing three of her four children and the
need to save her last child so that he can return home to comfort her. I felt a sense of uneasiness
because I knew that despite the fact that they were doing this out of the good in their hearts, it
wouldn t be an easy task to complete because lives would be lost since they are still at war. Not
only to they have to fight for their lives but also try to find another person who they ve never met

to the understanding and the emotions I felt while watching it. The opening scene of this film
definitely sets the tone for what is about to happen throughout this entire movie. While they are

2.4 Current Promotion
Currently, due to the raise of Certificate of Entitlement, Mazda is offering a SGD$5000 cash
rebate when consumers buy a RX8. Their main objective now is to gain a higher market share.
Using the scare tactics, they are giving a deadline for this promotion to end, urging consumers to
enjoy this offer while other dealers are only giving a much lower cash rebate of SGD$3,000 to
SGD$4,000. As they are not going high key this time, they are using below the line advertising like
giving out of flyers and placement of posters in their showroom.
3.0 RECOMMENDED TARGET MARKET
3.1 Geographical Traits
The proposed new target market is strategically located locally in Singapore. The proposed
promotion will reach the masses of geographically dispersed buyers locally. As Singapore is a
small country by itself without big towns like some European countries, we will not be further
segmenting the island geographically.

aged 20 to 34, locally. We will be using the Market Development Strategy, which is to sell an
existing product to a new market. The proposed new market to target is the Middle Age Mature

In American culture especially, drinking is seen as a rite of passage or assimilation into
adulthood. Young people in many cultures are introduced to drinking early in life, as a normal
part of daily living. Whereas in America, drinking at a young age is looked down upon, the
reverse is true in societies that maintain the best moderate drinking practices. The idea of a
minimum as before someone should be protected from alcohol is alien in China and France.
Children learn to drink early in Zambia by taking small quantities when they are sent to buy beer;

Background to the Classic Works of Strategy from Sun Tsu to Jomini
Rousseau (2011) defines strategy as a link connecting military power and political purpose. He
emphasizes that strategy entails the use of threat and force to achieve policy objectives. Given
the unfortunate centrality of war to world events, strategy becomes a significant aspect in
providing a theory of success. The perennial popularity of books on military and application of
works of wisdom in the use of force today is unequivocal. Particularly, books that generally focus
of the theory of strategy, studies with varied meanings for all purposes, technologies, places, and
times are increasingly rare. In the past 2,400 years, only 3 classic works are significant on this
subject and no more than five have an enduring value (Rousseau, 2011). Sun Tzu s classic work on

purposes, places, times, and technologies. Sun Tzu wrote his book in China in ca. 400 BC during

Radical simply means grasping things at the root Angela Davis (Radical Quotes). Throughout
history, radical change meats two things: a chaotic new era where people suffered, or it meant a

Examples Of Analogy In Teaching
1.0 Introduction
Definition: An analogy is a comparison between one thing and another, usually for the purpose of
explanation or interpretation. It is similar to metaphor and simile; they are usually used in
conversation to relate one situation to other.
According to (Heick, 2014) other than conversational analogy there are analogies, which are
formal analogies, used in teaching. They usually are called academic analogies. These analogies
are the research based tool for teaching in science class rooms. It can also be used in text books
and web based learning environment. Analogy can be used to explain concepts effectively to the
students, which makes sense of the concepts to the students. This also helps them to understand
easily than normal explanation. Especially, the students from primary and lower primary are

the students from the age group of 5 to 12. In Maldives, National Institute of Education has

The authors are able to avoid logical fallacies by only giving out the needed information and
quoting necessary people. Overall, the article gives accurate information that readers will find
necessary about what President Trump wants to do with the DACA program.
The authors are able to incorporate both stances on the DACA issue, by doing this, they are able
to prevent strong or discernible biases of the topic. Shear and Davis included both stances by
quoting opposing people s opinions. For example, they quoted President Donald Trump, who
intends to revoke DACA, he says that the reason for his concern about DACA is, the millions of
Americans victimized by this unfair job system. But the authors also quote former President
Barack Obama, who helped create the DACA program, when he heard of Trump s plan he stated,
Whatever concerns or complaints Americans may have about immigration in general, we shouldn

who pose no threat, who are not taking away anything from the rest of us. The quotes are able to

the authors quote other people, either criticizing DACA or criticizing the people trying to revoke
it. Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions criticize DACA, but Mark Zuckerberg, Marielena Hincapie, and

knowledgeable in certain areas, as it is part of what we study. While for others, it s a topic of
choice because it is trending. As a group, we are working really well in getting together and
putting our ideas out onto the presentation because it is a topic we enjoy and a topic that is not
spoken about, but is very popular in our generation. Therefore, we have established certain criteria
that we need to follow. The criteria being that everyone understand the goals of our final
presentation (ch11, pg 273). We decided together that we wanteveryone to learn more about
MDMA, and how we will assess that is by a game at the end of the presentation (ch11, pg 273).
We thought this solution to our objective would be effective because it is entertaining and
enjoyable. Before we thought about coming up with a game, we thought about making a quiz at
the beginning and end to assess the knowledge of our classmates, but decided otherwise (ch 11, pg

King Kalakaua Research Paper
The Merrie Monarch
King Kalakaua, a strong king and leader for his people. Not afraid to face challenges, teach the
history of the islands, watch the art and culture, leading his people, taking care of them, and
facing one of the biggest threats to the culture. He was one of the most well known kings of
Hawaiian history. Yet, who was he really? What was his past like? What did he even do for his
people? Well the time has come to find out, about his past, hardships, revivals, relationships, fights,
and his inevitable future. In this essay, we will explore through his past, life as a king, leading up
until his death. Not forgetting one of the most important days in Hawaiian history. Although before

Like other chief children, he was sent to live with another chieftess named Haaheo Kanui
(according to Aloha Hawaii), who brought him to the court of Kamehameha III (Located on
Maui) to learn. Around the age of four. Kalakaua was sent off to Oahu, to continue his learning
at the Chief s Children s School (also known as Royal School ). At sixteen, he proved to be a
bright young man and he ended up studying law (under a man named Charles Coffin Harris), since
he was exceedingly fluent in both Hawaiian and English. Yet he did not have a chance to finish his
studies, due to the excessive governmental positions as in 1875, he became a major in King
Kamehameha IV s staff. Which ultimately would lead up to his coming kingship, after all he was
part of the Kamehameha family.THroughout this time, he had also married a young girl named
Kapiolani, when he was supposed to marry Victoria Kamamalu (who was soon to be Lunalilo s
wife). After that, he became a part of a group named Young Hawaiians , who were set on making
Hawaii better for Hawaiians. At this time however, the Americans were beginning to make their

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Strip Mining
ABSTRACT
Mining is the extraction of profitable minerals or other geographical materials from the earth,
normally from a metal body crease. Digging forms include prospecting for metal bodies,
examination of the benefit capability of a proposed mine extraction of the coveted materials.
Mining actually implies extraction .Our Mother Earth has heaps of assets profound inside her and
mining is the strategy for separating all these significant assets from the earth through various
means. There are distinctive techniques to separate these assets which are found in various
structures underneath the world s surface. It s a given that it is the most imperative
accomplishments of humanity, the first being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Next, tremendous machines, for example, drag line excavators or container wheel excavators,
extricate the mineral.
Rather than underground mining, in which the overlying rock is left set up, and the mineral
expelled through shafts or tunnels.Underground mining is a procedure used to concentrate metals
and significant minerals underneath the earth subsurface.
I.Surface Mining Methods
пѓ Strip Mining :
Stripping or strip mining is the evacuation of overburden or waste materials from open pit surface
mines. The procedure includes machines, for example, stripping scoops, basin wheel excavators, or
drag lines to strip away the stone and reveal the profitable metal that is being mined.
Significant minerals, for example, coal, ironstone, or limestone are revealed by a scoop that
burrows long strips or a machine that cuts and throws the overburden from the pit with a specific
end goal to uncover the metal. The stripping scoop normally sits on of the surface it is mining and
is moved forward as the burrowing propels.
пѓ Highwall Mining :

Essay On Executive Loan
One Year in Executive Loan Review For the last year almost without exception I have had the
opportunity to attend Executive Loan Review every week. What follows are what I have
identified as main themes from these meetings. Purpose: It may seem that the purpose of loan
review is to learn how to be a better lender. While I have learned a great many things about lending
in these meetings, that education is largely incidental to the primary purpose. That purpose is to
understand the risk appetite of the Credit Union. By risk appetite is meant both the amount and
type of risk that Utah First is willing to acquire so as to succeed in our mission as a financial
institution. While Policy 7150 outlines the portfolio targets, Executive Loan... Show more content

By why us we want to understand the relationship. Occasionally we as lenders can miss this
mark and get caught up in the purpose of the loan and neglect finding a true motive. That is, a
member may say that they are applying for a credit card so that they can build credit. Building
credit is very likely not a true motive. We want to know why they have that desire. As is often
asked in loan review did they just wake up one day with a desire to build credit? We need to
understand true motive to be able to be significant for the member and make an informed credit
decision. While the motive entails why us and why now we also want to answer the question
why this. We want to be able to find the best solution for our member that we can. This entails
finding the right product as well as cleaning the plate. The next six questions help us do this.
They can be split into two categories. First is further understanding our relationship with the
borrower. We want to know if we are their PFI, if they have a checking account, etc. Second is
assessing the full financial picture. We want to understand what they drive, their income, their
assets, their ratios, and which way the credit score is trending. These principles all lead back to
the question do we believe they will pay us back? Ratios, income, and assets help us understand
the member s capacity to pay the loan back. Relationship and credit history help us assess if our
member has a pattern of

Why We Shouldn T Use Instagram Essay
Why Kids shouldn t use Instagram There are many reasons why kids should not use Instagram.
Due to the excessive explicit material, that kids at such young ages should not be exposed to.
There are however some good reasons for kids to use Instagram. Instagram gives children a
chance to express their creative and talented sides, while using the art of photography and
picture editing, but like any good thing there is always someone out there that s got to ruin it for
everyone else. In the perfect society, you wouldn t have to worry about your children having to
be stalked or possibly harmed by people who need help with their problems relating to underage
child addiction, but this world is far from perfect so there should be some kind of guide... Show

One of which would be the use and enforcement of safety programs or failsafe systems for
parents to implement child locks on their Instagram. If we can find a way to block channels on
the television, and block inappropriate web pages from our computers then we should be able
to apply the same sort of safety control to our social media pages as well. According to a post
from an article titled 5 Instagram Safety Tips for Teens by Ali DeCesare, There are privacy
settings on Instagram that allow you to determine who follows you. With privacy settings,
sending out a request is the only way to become a follower of someone. This way is a lot safer
than having a public profile because only those who you approve to follow you can see your
pictures. Privacy settings also keep away unwanted followers because everyone who wants to
follow you has to go through your dashboard and be approved by you. Without Privacy Settings
on, it isn t only your followers who can see your picture. Anyone can search your profile and find
your pictures and profile if you don t have Privacy Settings on. This is my exact point, Instagram
has setting in place for your safety but sometimes, children have a tendency to go behind parents
back and undo these safety features. If parents aren t checking their children s devices on a daily
basis then kids could

My score for the technical reasoning pattern was 8 which means I usually avoid it. In confluence pattern I got a score of 22 which means I use it as needed. With all my scores combined it makes me a dynamic learner. An example of when I used the Sequence Pattern was when I was in high school and I was in a CNA class doing job shadowing for the first time. I asked what exactly I was expected to do; what my job duties were as a shadowing student . I was nervous, of course, so I asked my teacher, whom was a long time nurse, what I was supposed to be doing exactly. She explained to me and the other students in detail that we were to help the elderly in and out of bed, to and from the restroom, to get them dressed and to get them to and from the cafeteria for lunch. That sounded simple enough so we all got started helping the residents and some of the CNA s who worked there had a completely different way of doing things, not the exact way as shown by our teacher. I don t like when people do things differently then how I have been shown and then expect me to do it that way as well. I had to just adjust to it and do it... • 4. Analyzing Black Liberation Theology, Latin American... Liberation Theology Black Liberation Theology, Latin American Liberation Theology, and Feminist Theology Liberation theology comprises of two main principles: it recognizes the call for liberation from any form of oppression economic, political, and social: second, it says that theology must grow from the basic Christian communities and not from above. Liberation theology examines the theological meaning of human activities, which includes an explanation of the Christian faith out of suffering, struggle and hopes for the poor, critiques the society and its ideologies that sustaining its existence. In addition, it also reflects on the activities of the church from a perspective of the poor. Liberation lies at three levels of meaning which have a correlation. Liberation at the social and political level, it states on the oppressed classes and people. It emphasizes on the conflict that arises from the economic, social, and political process that happens between the oppressed and oppressors. At the human level, liberation emerges as a historical process that shows the conscious development of people on their own through social changes. At the religious level, liberation means being free from sin the main source of all alienation from fraternity and the source of all oppression and injustice. This last form of liberation brings man into communion with God. The three processes are inseparable and form a unique complex process (Hillar, 2000). Black Liberation Theology Black ... According to Menlo Atherton High School (2015), a tax that is put on imported goods from abroad is known as tariff. Tariff is used to raise the price of imported goods so that the domestic producers can sell their similar goods at higher prices. Domestic government will be the one collecting the money that is received from tariff. Protective tariffs and revenue tariffs are the types of tariff. Protective tariffs are put on imported goods so that it will be more expensive. It is used to protect the domestic industries from the competition of foreign firms. According to Menlo Atherton High School (2015), a quota is a limit on the number of goods that can be shipped in. A quota seems like a sensible alternative to a tariff when the intention is to restrict foreign producersВ’ access to the domestic market. Importers typically are limited to a maximum amount of products that they can sell in the home market over specific periods. A quota, similar to a tariff, causes costs to increase in the home market. This induces domestic producers to increase production and consumers to reduce consumption. One difference between a tariff and a quota is that the tariff generates revenue for the government, while the quota generates a revenue gain to the owner of import licenses. During this time, numerous battles had occurred which were fought with determination and intensity on both sides. Amongst the many invasions of World War II, there is one day which stands out more in the minds of many American soldiers than the others. That day was June 6, 1944, more commonly known as D Day, part of the invasion of Normandy, known as Operation Overlord. This operation was the largest amphibious assault in history. It was a day in which thousands of young Americans, who poured onto the beaches of France, matured faster than they would have ever imagined. They were not prepared for... In the wake of this attack came the American 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry in twenty Higgens boats, another type of transport designed to hold a thirty man team. Before the assaults began, the planners, including Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower, hoped everything would stick to the precise schedule. This hope was not a reality, as some craft landed too late, others too early, and some off course as far as a kilometre south of the target. These three works show a variety of ways in which the Storm God defeats dragon like monsters and how the gods bestow their trust in the Storm God to maintain order, as the Storm God is the protector of all creation. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast these three literary works to demonstrate the defeat of order over chaos. In both version one of the Illuyanka Myth and in the Enuma Elish, the serpents use their children to assist in defeat against the Storm God. The battle between Baal and Yam in The Baal Cycle can also be comparable to the battle between Marduk and Tiamat in the Enuma Elish. In The Baal Cycle, Yam sends for El to try and have Baal surrender to Yam. The gods are afraid of Yam, just like the gods are afraid of Tiamat in the Enuma Elish. The author in The Baal Cycle writes Sea sent two messengers...Leave, lads, do not turn back; now head toward the Assembly in council, at the center of the mountain of night. Do not fall at El s feet. Yam wants to take Baal s place and stature along with his power, and El agrees. Social Policy Within The Global Economy When discussing social policy within the current global economy, it s quite impossible to ignore the effects of globalisation on nation states but also in the overall global economy in relation to poverty, environmental changes, trade, culture etc. Globalisation is a highly contested term due to its broad definition which causes confusion as to what it actually means (Gills, 2002; Higgot, 1999). Yeates (2002) refers to globalisation as the loosening of boundaries of things such as trade, labour and migration and further goes on to speak of strong globalisation to indicate the intensity and inevitable nature especially in relation to the constraints globalisation poses on national governments and the policymaking process. Exegesis and Critique of Nietzsche s Conception of Guilt In The Second Essay of On the Genealogy of Morality In the Second Essay of On the Genealogy of Morals (titled Guilt, Bad Conscience, and the Like ), Nietzsche formulates an interesting conception of the origin and function of guilt feelings and bad conscience. Nietzsche s discussion of this topic is rather sophisticated and includes sub arguments for the ancient equivalence of the concepts of debt and guilt and the existence of an instinctive joy in cruelty in human beings, as well as a hypothesis concerning the origin of civilization, a critique of Christianity, and a comparison of Christianity to ancient Greek religion. It is important to note that, according to Nietzsche, no moral condemnation was involved in these punishments for transgression of the morality of mores. Rather, transgressors were viewed merely as threats and obstacles in the path to the goal of the state. Thus, transgressors were punished merely out of anger at the injury done, rather than out of moral indignation or attempt to reform the criminal, while the goal of awakening guilt in criminals not only was not held by these rulers, but would have been regarded by them as nonsensical (2.4). At this juncture Nietzsche puts forth the creditor/debtor relationship as an analogy to the relationship between citizen and state after the latter s establishment. According to this analogy the citizen and state have entered into an agreement in which the state promises various advantages of civilization, which are numerous and profound, in return for obedience on the part of the citizen. When a citizen disobeys, the state s punishment is meted out with the cruel anger of an aggrieved creditor (2.9). Significantly, according to Nietzsche, the arousal of guilt feelings in the transgressor is not an effect of this punishment. Instead, punishment s only result is to increase the greater prudence and fear of the transgressor. Nietzsche brings forth several pieces of evidence in support of this claim. The first of these is that prisons are far from being ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Animal Death Vs. Old-Earth Creationism Animal death before the fall may not be found in any of the early Christian s church s orthodox, but when it comes to the argument over young or old earth creationism, it can be a very defining issue. Old earth creationists believe animal death was part of God s creation before Adam and Eve were even created, while young earth creationists reject all death before the Fall. The Old Earth Creationist view is that Adam s sin led to his spiritual death, which was then followed eventually by his physical death. Before Adam was created, animal death was not related to man s salvation or Christ s atonement on the cross. The scriptural support for theses claims are pointed out in the following verses. In Genesis 2:17 it is written, For in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die. In this warning to Adam there was no mention of animal death. Adam was the person whom God was speaking to in this verse. Both John MacArthur, who is a young earth creationist, and Gleason Archer, an old earth creationist, agree in the sense that this verse was communicating a spiritual death to Adam, followed by his physical death hundreds of years later. Comparing Plant Organs And Their Nutrients Comparing Plant Organs and their Nutrients Abstract: In this experiment, we wanted to determine the starch and glucose content of different plant parts including: fruits, stems, leaves, and roots. To do this, we tested a food in each of these categories with Lugol s and Benedict s solutions after being heated in a hot water bath. The color of each solution would then be compared to the Lugol s and benedict s indicators to determine how much starch and glucose is in each. We believed that fruits would have the most starch and glucose out of the plant parts because of its role in plant reproduction (seed dispersal). Through the experiment, we discovered that the fruit does have the most glucose, but the roots have the most starch. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In contrast, there is glucose that is considered a simple sugar or a monosaccharide due to its structure (Georgia State University). Most foods made of glucose molecules are used as sources of energy for animals as ATP (Georgia State University). Both these sugars are in our diets, yet they are quiet different in chemical structure and physical form. This is why a substance that contains starch, does not always contains glucose (Shorter KR). To test for these two carbohydrates, two different tests were developed: Lugol s and Benedict s. Lugol s indicates whether or not a substance contains starch, and if so, how much (Shorter KR). This is determined based on a color scale (5 different shades), from amber to a bluish black (Shorter KR). The farther down the scale, the more starch the substance contains. Likewise, the Benedict s solution indicates the amount of starch as the 8 color shades (light blue to dark green) progress (Shorter KR). Hypothesis: вћўIf Lugol s solution is used to test different types of plant parts, then there will be more starch in the fruits (reproductive parts) than stems, because fruits are where seed dispersal is located which is a process that requires sugar. вћўIf Benedict s solution was added to solutions of water and plant parts, then there would be more glucose found in the fruits rather than the stems because of the function of the fruit during seed dispersal requires sugar which is glucose makes up. ... The type of muscle referred to is microscopic and is part of the normal process of growth in the body called anabolism. It is not the type of damage or injury that you see your doctor about.
