Advantages And Disadvantages Of 4D Printing In The Future...
As indicated by Skylar Tibbitts, 4D printing is the capacity to program physical and organic
materials to change shape, change properties, and compute outside of silicon based matter. 4D
Printing, created as a coordinated effort between the Self Assembly Lab, Stratasys and Autodesk, is
another procedure for printing adjustable keen materials. 4D Printing involves multi material prints
using the Stratasys Connex printer with the additional capacity of shape change starting with one
state then onto the next, straightforwardly off the print bed. This method offers a streamlined way
from thought to full usefulness incorporated specifically with the materials, including; activation,
detecting and material rationale. Potential applications incorporate; robotics like behavior without
the dependence on complex electro mechanical devices and also versatile items, pieces of clothing
or mechanism that react to user requests and fluctuating situations.
With a solitary multi material print, an item or instrument can change from any 1D strand into 3D
shape, 2D surface into 3D shape or transform from one 3D shape into another. Utilizing just water,

Effects of Different Fluids on Urine Volume, Concentration, and pH
Introduction
The examination of urine is called urinalysis, which is a diagnostic method for assessing renal
function and diagnosing various types of pathophysiology involving not on the kidneys but other
organs and tissues as well. We will be focusing on the kidneys for this experiment. The kidneys play
an essential role in regulating of extracellular concentrations of water, electrolytes, and certain end
product of metabolism; additionally they regulate pH and osmotic pressure. The primary functional
unit of the kidneys is the nephron. Each kidney contains approximately one million nephron. Urine
is formed in the nephron ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The nutrient glucose is entirely reabsorbed back into the blood from the proximal tubules. Sodium
ions and other ions are only partially reabsorbed from the renal tubules.
Secretion is the final process by which substances move into the distal and collecting tubules from
the blood in the capillaries around these tubules. Secretion moves substances out of the blood and
into the tubules where they mix with water and other wastes and then converted into urine. Kidney
tubule secretion plays an important role in maintaining the body s acid base balance.
Hypothesis:
In this experiment subjects receiving water will produce higher volumes of urine than the people
receiving Gatorade. Also those consuming water will have a lower pH level and a lighter color.
People who drink just water without additives will produce more volume of urine because the
water will not be reabsorbed. Nutrients such as sugar and electrolytes from the Gatorade will be
reabsorbed therefore the volume released will be less.
Methods
For this lab every student had to participate. Before the experiment started every participant had to
fast for 4 hours. The time period for the experiment was from 12:00pm till 3:00pm. In the
beginning of the experiment every participant received a sterol cup for the urine sample. During
this experiment individual subjects had to empty their bladder every half an hour. To begin
everyone began the initial urine specimen and half an hour later

The Disadvantages And Disadvantages Of Transportation And...
Transportation is like steroids! Steroids can help your muscle to develop faster but it can seriously
damage your health. Likewise, transportation can help human civilization to grow but at the same
time, it can cause great damage to our natural environment. Although different forms of
transportation have made lives easier by letting people travel from place to place in ease, it also has
detrimental effects on the local environment. For instance, it can cause major pollution on all water,
land and air. Among all the countries that are suffering the disadvantages of transportation, China
has to face tremendous side effects of having a large number of transportation systems.

China has rejected the European Union s plan of controlling greenhouse gas from airplanes by
using manageable carbon credits as a part of broader emissions trading system. Although the
scientists around the world are concerned with the rising emissions of the airplanes by 11.2% per
year, China has rebuffed this situation by considering the amount of money it would cost them. Due
to the country s large population, China has one of the biggest problem on controlling their busy air
transportation. China Air TransportAssociation has claimed that using manageable carbon credits
would need 800m Yuan of $127 million per year. Therefore, EU made this case into consideration
by the Chinese government by suggesting that only an increase by $3.30 in the airplane tickets can
make it accomplish. It is very dramatic that the government neglect the fact that the pollution is
harming not only the natural environment but also the citizens. The emissions of an air craft
includes Nitrous oxides (NOX) and Sulfur oxides (SOX) that combine with gases already in the
atmosphere causing fine particles that are extremely hazardous to human health. Moreover, when
these gases combine and interact with ammonia it can cause toxic that can lead to premature death,
which has resulted in 3500 of the 8000 premature deaths annually in

MANAGING A PROJECT TEAM
Syed Tauseef Ali (Author)

Peoria, Illinois syedtauseefali@mail.bradley.edu Abstract Managing a project team requires an
understanding and knowledge of modern management as well as the knowledge of the design
and construction process. Nowadays, associations in the development area use groups to meet
today s global competition and client desires, however, they require better methods for assessing
the viability of the groups. To guarantee that development groups are successful and viable,
development organizations must advance, measure, and assess their groups viability. A project
team is bound by a certain set of constraints, for example, delivering a construction project in a
required time frame and so they need to see the big picture or have a clear set of goal planned in
order to execute the project in time and with good quality. This paper is outlined to provide details
regarding the roles and responsibilities of the different members involved in a project management
team and what factors contribute to conflicts within the team and how they should be resolved.
1.INTRODUCTION
Not all construction projects are same in size. Every project varies in size and scope with different
approaches, different technologies but they all share the common issues when it comes to
managing a project team [1]. A project team often involves members of different backgrounds,
specializations, skills and

What Are The Pros And Cons Of The Scottish Referendum
Scottish independence
On the 18th of September 2014, the Scottish referendum for Scottish independence was held.
There were two main campaigns running up to the referendum, there was YES Scotland, who
were in favour of independence and there was Better Together, who were in favour of keeping the
union. On the day of the referendum, approximately 3.6 million Scots voted. The turnout was 85%
of the country, which is one of the highest turnouts for any election or referendum in the world.
The No vote won by 55% and the Yes vote had 45% of the votes.
There were pros and cons on both sides, but the best route for Scotland was the no vote. Why? One
argument is that we don t which currency Scotland we would use, according to several politicians
home and abroad. Politicians and economy experts say that it would be very little chance we
would keep the pound or be able to use the Euro. Alex Salmond claimed that we would get to keep
the pound no problem, but there would have been very little chance we would have had a currency

sufficient for Scotland to run on. Wood Mackenzie, which is a worldwide company which

International Competitiveness Of The Computer And Software...
2.1Nowadays the Internet market is dominated by companies based in the United States. This is
due to a series of factors and conditions as in order for a company to strive in Market it requires a
variety of factors in its home base. In the United States there are a range of factors, which support
the Internet industry as well as generalized advantages that span across domestic industries. A high
GDP per capita joint with being the country the 3rd largest population meant that many American
citizens had large disposable income, which could be spent on expensive computer hardware and
monthly Internet fees. This rich supply of capital, entrepreneurial orientation, and world class
educational computer technology facilities explain the national competitivenessof the computer and
software industry in the United States.
Due to the potential of growth of this Industry within the nation many businesses and consumers
promptly adopted the Internet. An increase in income meant that the demand for online goods
rapidly increased, as consumers were able to spend more. These demand conditions allowed online
multinational companies such as Google to innovate and thrive in the U.S. market due to the rich
environment.
Factors such as related and supporting industries have a great influence on the national
competitiveness of the United States in the computer and software industry. The presence clusters

Symbolism In Beowulf
Can Beowulf be a representation of Christ for the Anglo Saxon era people? Many have
speculated or at least pondered on his actions to be Christ like. When it comes down to it there
are people who claim Beowulf to be Christ like and there are people who say Beowulf is not
Christ like but just pagan folklore or an epic past down from generation to generation. In this
article you will hear reasons as to why he is considered Christ like through his own actions and
free will, you will see this through symbolism, portrayal of Christ, an example of knowing that
they will die, and finally knowing that they will be betrayed by their own followers . So if you
carefully read through this argument of the epic as to why Beowulfis like that, then you can at least
see a glimpse or fully pick up on his Christ like abilities by personality, actions, and patterns....

What was said earlier was that Beowulf was compassionate about his fellow man, he was kindly,
mild, gentle amongst man, and forgiving to his fellow man too. He was like this because he knew
man itself cannot thrive on it s own hate or prejudices but could thrive on life and learning. He
sought out the good in people to motivate them as Jesus Christ did. Beowulf did all of these good
deeds because he did it for the good of man and because he loathed the powers of evil that tempted
man. He did all this for the good of man and because he cared of his people too, in the end of the
epic Beowulf was proven to fight hard and save the treasure for his people so they could thrive
for many years. One other thing Beowulf did to prove this Christ like sense was that he always
thanked god, one example of this is, By favor of God we won the fight, did the deed of valor, and
boldly dared the might of the monster, (Pg. 19) In just that line not only did he thank God but he
was preaching to his men as well like Jesus

Stereotypes Of Racism
No one is born hating a person because of the color of their skin, or his background, or his
religion. People must learn to hate and if they can learn to hate then they can be taught to love,
for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite a quote stated by Nelson
Mandela. Racism is one of the major issues in today s world. It is obvious that racism is not as
bad as it was many years ago, but it sure has not gone away. A great number of people are
unaware of how much racism still exists in our schools, works, and elsewhere. It is about time that
people need to start putting an end to it and thinking about reconciling. They believe that it
depends on if a person was brought into the world as a racist, but that is not always... Show more

However, this may not put an end to racism because as long as human being are breathing it will
always exist. But what the government and the public can do as a union is help by minimizing
racism. This can start by creating laws and enforcing them to ensure that everyone is being
treated fairly. This bring great shame that many people feel such hate towards a certain group,
but maybe if they try to deal with the change and personal frustrations, they can be able to get
more comfortable around minorities. Everyone has a belief and has a right to express how they
feel, but it is best that they do not judge people by their skin color and accept them for who they
are, it would be a significant step towards minimizing

How Washington s Role And Legacy Has Been Manipulated By...
Kush Patel
Word Count: Edward G. Lengel, author of Inventing George Washington, brings a different
approach to writing historical books. He has collected and sifted through virtually all mediums of
Washington s life. Through his work I found a central theme of how Washington s role and legacy
has been manipulated by society. Lengel displays the way writers, critics, and religious leaders
changed George Washingtons identity for their own personal benefits; they have altered his
religious orientation and his public image in both good and bad ways.
George Washington s religious beliefs have always been altered or unclear to the American society.
Lengel ponders, Washington considered attendance at religious services to be a civic duty. He
believed that morality and the unfettered practice of religion ensured the prosperity of a well
organized society (77). Washington was only partially religious to please the common people.
He was selfless in doing what was in the best interest of his nation than himself. By taking the
role of president, he had to sacrifice his own beliefs. The Valley Forge prayer incident was
commonly disfigured by many. The story began when a Quaker, by the name of Isaac Potts, saw
Washington in prayer, according to Mason Locke Weems. After the initial story, others began
twisting it to their liking by adding horses or barns. As Lengel states, The image of Washington in
prayer became iconic (86). Artist painted Washington in various scenes depicting

Dealing with Change in Life
We all have dealt with change at one point in our life. Change comes in many ways from having
a new baby being born to transitioning to a new career. What I call this is forces of change.
Secondly is how we process that change. It may simple and it may not be simple. Lastly once you
process the change you are then able to manage change. If you manage change you will not be as
stressed if you let it take over you.
Change is never when you are ready. Yes you may plan to move to a new home or new state but
you are still dealing with stress. The majority of us have change come to us when we are not
ready. The most change that we have in our life is that of careerchange or work changes. We see it
every day businesses may close or merge with another business. This is a big deal because
people need to look for a new job or plan to retire. This change would be consider planned change.
(Nelson Quick, 2013 p.668). Another change is that when managers are changed at your job.
Managers come and go in a company. Many managers will move up in the company and many
will pursue a different career. This is tough for employees to deal with because they get use to
working in one direction until someone new comes in. This is consider to be unplanned change.
(Nelson Quick, 2013 p668). Many companies do change as a globalize style. To me having a
globalize style of change is planned and unplanned. I say this because the company knows where
they are moving or when they are moving, but no one

Fair trade can be defined as a social movement thats objective is to help producers in developing
countries make better trading conditions and elevate sustainability. Fair trade is contrasting to the
other trade practices in our world, its about making codes of fairness in the marketplace. The
practice of fair tradeseeks to reshape the way we buy and sell products to verify that all farmers
and skilled workers behind the manufacturing of goods get a better deal. Most people would

However the fair trade movement was majorly shaped in the years following WWII. The
Mennonite Central Committee and SERRV International were the first in 1946 to develop fair
trade supply chains in developing countries. The products were mostly sold by volunteers in
charity stores. North Americas first fair trade organization started in 1946 also, Ten Thousand
Villages. Later in 1988, the launch of the first fair trade label (Max Havelaar) was created under
the initiative of a Dutch development agency. The Max Havelaar label was further replicated in
several markets in Europe and North America. In 1989 the International Fair Trade Association
(IFAT) was the first umbrella organization to unite and coordinate fair trade business and
organizations. They became the first organization to commit to fair trade 100%. Later in 1997
the Fairtrade International (FLO) was established, this was the second major umbrella
organization for fair trade. However the FLO does not require fair trade on 100% of its members
or products. Later in 2004, Fairtrade international split into two independent organizations, FLO
which sets fair trade standards, and producer support, and FLO CERT, which inspects and
certifies producer organizations. Today fair trade has developed into something much more, the
global sales have soared over the past decade. This proves that fair trade is actually making a
difference in our world, a little bit at a time.

According to the text book, terrorism is defined as a systematic attempt to inspire fear to gain
political ends, typically involving the indiscriminate use of violence against noncombatants.
Terrorist attacks is definately not new to the U.S. In 2001, al Qaeda lauched an attack on New
York s World Trade Center. The attack killed thousands of Americans, and put the country in a
state of panic and scare. One reason for this attack was that Islamics were angered that the U.S
had troops on the soil of Saudi Arabia, which was regarded as sacred. Groups such as al Qaeda
are extremely violent, and will not be negotiated with for peace. Recently, we have had several
terrorist attacks including the Boston Marathon bombing, Muslim shooting at Fort Hood, and
ISIS attacks on soldiers and journalists. Recently, attacks from domestic islamists are a major
concern for the U.S. These individuals are self radicalized through beliefs and the internet, rather
than being a part of a group. Farook and Malik, of the San Bernardino attacks, are examples of
this. In my opinion, terrorism is a huge concern for all of the people of our country. I think the
United States needs to have better background checks and investigations on immigrants before
letting them into our country, and we need to have better online and phone security from the
government so they can weed out threatening individuals that are already in the U.S. Without more

Service (NHS) and have been identified as caring and compassion; dignity; communication;
professionalism; emotional intelligence and the nurse patient relationship. The three principles I
have chosen to analyse are communication, dignity and nurse patient relationship because it is my
belief that when a nurse lacks awareness of these, they will also lack the ability to be a successful
nurse. From my own research and experience, these three principles are... Show more content on

Maintaining dignity is not only meaningful in the first stages of caring for an individual, but
essential throughout a patient s care; by giving the element of control, it will help promote patient
independence. Promoting dignity can be achieved more easily if the patient and nurse establish a
good working nurse patient relationship, further enhanced by treating each individual equally,
regardless of protected characteristics, (e.g. age, culture, race, religion, etc.), to ensure everyone is
given the same level of care and importance. Zion (2011) said that consistency within the unit, by
the way the care staff approached patients right through to the way they communicated amongst
colleagues, gave him what he needed to go back into society and get back hold of his dignity.
Zion s perception supports the idea that nurses and care staff have a significant role in patient s
experiences. Although it s his personal opinion, he is speaking as the patient and talking about of
an experience which has directly affected him. He clearly states that due to the staff consistency
and communication, they gave him back his dignity that he perhaps lost on arrival to the hospital.

Altisource Case Study
C.Overall, RMS believes the Altisource personnel work diligently to resolve issues, however
many of the delays identified require coordination with Ocwen Loan Servicing for resolution,
particularly the Contract Management Department (execution of documents) and foreclosure
counsel (typically related to vesting deeds). Our concern is the coordination does not always
appear to function smoothly, causing unnecessary delays. In these instances, RMS requests
Ocwen s oversight to escalate any issue where overall timelines appear extended D.Eviction
timelines. Since Altisource does not move an asset to eviction until after the vesting deed
records, days in eviction are accurate and reflect the actual days in eviction after it has
commenced. An area of concern regarding evictions is the Cash For Relocation ( CFR )
process. Since Altisource uses an outbound call center for CFR, and not a local agent, RMS does
not believe this is as effective as having a local agent door knock the property and attempt face to
face contact with the occupant. When RMS has asked about utilizing a door knock service to offer

Ronald Reagan Deployed Troops In Grenada
On October 25, 1983 Ronald Reagan sent 1,000 troops to the island of Grenada to ensure the
safety of Americans studying medicine in the local hospital. In 1979, Maurice Bishop took power
in Grenada and had close relations with Cuba which was communist. Bishops was then
assassinated by Bernard Coard who established a communist government. This is the reason that
Reagan deployed troops in Grenada. He didn t want the influence of a Marxist government on the
Americans. Many Americans were unsure of the invasion. But Reagan saw it as a victory because
they were able to roll back Communist influence in the area. Coard s government fell apart and the
US brought in a leader who was approved by the United States. We also brought back the Grenada

Comparing Dreams In To Kill A Mockingbird And A Raisin In...
Dreams are figments of our imagination, but when you re in a dream it can feel so real.
Personally, I have awoken to high hopes I was in the Bahamas or a million dollar mansion, but I m
not. Dreams are just thoughts that can motivate us to be better. In the novels, To Kill a
Mockingbird and A Raisin in the Sun, as well as the film/documentary American Denial, treatment
of dreams can be synthesized to motivate people to become better, stronger, and wiser.
The first example, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, is about a family in a small town in
Alabama during the Great Depression. In To Kill a Mockingbird, everyone has dreams they aspire
to. A few examples are: Scout, she dreams about meeting Boo and befriending him, the black

Also, A Raisin in the Sun is titled from the poem Harlem, a DreamDeferred by Langston Hughes,
so obviously it has themes of dreams scattered throughout the book. The line is Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun? (Hughes 2). One of the main characters, Walter, has big dreams of getting
rich and letting his son do whatever he pleases. To pursue this dream he decides to invest a lot of
money in a liquor store that was just a front for his friend to get more money. The money was
lost because Walter couldn t see through the scam and he was blinded by his dream. Although
he doesn t show a similar passion for his sister Beneatha, who wants to become a doctor. He says
in the story, Who the hell told you you had to be a doctor?... go be a nurse like other woman or
just get married and be quiet. (Hansberry 38). Part of the money he gave away was her college
fund, which wasn t his to give. Even though it is a bold dream in this time, her dream of helping
people was, as Joseph her boyfriend said, very dependent on having lots of other things happen.
But that didn t stop her from chasing her dream of studying to become a doctor. Yet another
character that is affected by their dreams is Mama or Lena. She always has been a big dreamer, in
fact in the book it says, ever since I was a little girl, I always I always remembers people saying,

Canada And Japan Comparison Essay
You might think Canada and Japan would be very different! You are wrong, but also kind of right,
I guess. Why, you might be asking? Because ultimately, they have a lot in common, from the type
of government to the environment, but they also have a lot, and I mean A LOT, of differences,
such as beliefs, culture, and landscape. If you want some more in depth content about the two
countries, well, this project is for you! In these ten categories that I m giving you, there are some
similarities and some differences between Canadaand Japan.

Culture. It may seem that talking direct and to the point might seem normal in Canada, but
Japanese people consider that impolite, so instead they talk soft and quietly. If you have ever
been to Japan or will go there, you will notice they are very quiet and soft. Although the Japanese
do not prefer to talk as dry wittingly and sarcastically as Canadians, physical and slapstick
comedy is more popular with the Japanese. In both countries, men and women have equal rights,
but gender roles vary. In Canada, men and women can both go to work (e.g., if women go to
work, men stay back to take care of the family), but in Japan the men do all the work and women
leave their jobs after having children to be housewives and take care of the children, although
some women may go back to their jobs after their children are a little bit more grown up. In
Japan, most parents will want children to focus on getting better academic grades, whereas in
Canada, parents may be a little more free about homework and will want their children to get out
and play more. For example, In Japan, parents may get children to work on homework for multiple
hours, while most parents in Canada might want their children to go out and

mind floods with memories of his younger days, when he lived in a town called Macondo. This
town can only be described as mystical, as many things, explainable and unexplainable, always

gypsies would travel to Macondo, bringing new technologies that the town would have never

Hitler s Appointment
Adolf Hitler s appointment as Chancellor of Germany in 1933 played a vital role in the beginning
of World War II. It was caused by a number of long term causes such as the Treaty of Versailles,
strategic political activities and the Great Depression. Consequences also occurred as a result of his
appointment such as transition from Weimar government to Nazi dictatorship, positive economic

The Nazis began to spread their racial ideologies very soon after Hitler was appointed chancellor
in 1933. They believed that Germans were racially superior and that Jews and other minorities
were a threat to the survival of the German race. Amongst the persecuted were other minority
groups, such as Romani an ethnic group originating from the Indian subcontinent Africans,
homosexuals and the handicapped. However, Jews, who made up less than 1% of the German
population in 1933, were the primary target of the Nazis racially provoked hatred. They were
unfairly blamed for the country s economic depression and defeat in World War One. Following
Hitler s appointment as chancellor, laws were passed that declared Jews second class citizens,
segregating them from those of German descent and forcing them out of their jobs. The Nazis
either seized Jewish businesses or forced them to be sold at exceptionally low prices. Between
1933 and 1935, laws emerged that allowed Romani, Africans, homosexuals and the handicapped to

During the American Civil War, leadership within the Union s army was constantly an issue.
Within the Union, various generals were found at times to be at odds with the political leaders in
Washington. This was especially evident in the relationship between General George McClellan
and President Lincoln. This tension was the result of McClellan s approach to waging war. By

He suffered what some might refer to in today s vernacular as something akin to analysis paralysis.
(McPherson, 1988, pp. 361 365)
McClellan s caution in waging war is evidenced clearly in the Army of the Potomac s Peninsula
Campaign. McClellan was charged with leading the assault on Richmond, delivering what could
have been a fatal blow against the Confederacy. During the Army of the Potomac s movements
towards Richmond, McClellan repeatedly delayed, believing he had inferior numbers to his initial
adversary, Confederate General Joseph E. Johnston. Johnston knew the caution McClellan was
prone to, and slowly drew McClellan closer to Confederate forces defending Richmond. At the
Battle of Seven Pines, Johnston reinforced the idea in McClellan s mind that caution was
necessary. (McPherson, 1988, p. 461) The surprise attach by Johnston s forces, though ultimately
defeated by the Army of the Potomac, delayed McClellan s advance as he called for more
reinforcements from Washington. Johnston was wounded in the battle, and replaced by General
Robert E. Lee. Lee, whose prowess as a tactician bordered on legendary, led a series of surprise
attacks against McClellan s Army of the Potomac in the Seven Days Battle. McClellan s forces
were pushed back, and he was relieved of duty as commander of the Army of the Potomac, until
later in 1862. (McPherson, 1988, pp. 462 470)

Privacy, Surveillance, And Law Essay
Introduction
1As technology changes the way we live, especially by making communication and transactions
easier, the security of our personal information becomes an important issue if people are expected to
trust the government, companies, and each other. Although scholars have provided several
accounts of the importance of privacy, it still remains unclear how individuals view and value it. For
the purposes of this essay, privacy is broadly defined as the controlled access to personal
information or ideas. In this paper, I will examine Richard Posner s article Privacy, Surveillance,
and Law and Neil Richards s paper The Dangers of Surveillance. Although both Posner and
Richards begin with the same assumption that people fear public scrutiny, their different
interpretations of this human nature lead to different conclusions. While Richards relates privacy
to our fundamental rights so that he considers any surveillance dangerous, Posner s belief that we
value privacy as a possession that promotes other ends is more justified because it allows
individuals to weigh the costs and benefits of surveillance.
People Fear Public Scrutiny
2Fundamentally, both Posner s and Richards s arguments stem from the assumption that people
fear public scrutiny. Accordingly, Richards claims that public exposure pressures people into
conformity. The prospect of drawing unwanted attention due to deviant behavior encourages people
to change such behavior. This is an observation of the

Juvenile Law Breakers In The Court Of Law Essay
There exist composite and acute issues that are experienced by the American Jurisprudence in the

Submitting juvenile files into Federal Court sentencing can result to either an extended sentence or

There exist conditions set by the U.S ultimate court to govern on the policy. For almost seven

i.It is evident that violent behaviors varies over the age distribution (Handler, Joel 1965). Crime

Quiet By Susan Cain Summary
Susan Cain s (2012) non fiction book, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can t Stop
Talking, investigates and studies the misconceived values and traits of introverts. Cain delves
further in exploring the extroverts and the ones who disguise themselves as extroverts, hiding their
true introvert selves. Her initiative is to take a look at how the Western culture and life has
designed everything around extroverts, ignoring and dismissing some of the introverts to
psychological discomfort and some to pretending to be extroverts. Cain provides an informative,
inspirational, but, yet, a questioning tone that could allow one to apply this book to their own life.

Assuming that the introverts and extroverts have about the same amount of good and bad ideas,
then the main concern should be if the outgoing individuals conquer take the spotlight. Thus,
great amounts of good ideas drown within a sea of prevailing bad ideas. Additionally, Cain finds
that talkers are often perceived as smarter than their quiet and reserved counterparts. However,
research suggests that there s no such link [between more talking and better insight] die in part to
GPA s and SAT scores (Cain, 2012, p. 222). Moreover, talkers are seen as leaders: the more
talkative one is, the more group members pay attention. This ultimately means the speaker has

due to them being attentive to gather key information and offer ideas, rather than overpowering a

The Effect Of Obedience During The Holocaust
The Effects of Obedience Often, researchers wonder why obedience has such a strong effect.
Some researchers say that obedience is a conscious thing; however, some researchers also say that
obedience comes from the fear of authority figures. What exactly does obedience and authority
mean? Obedience is compliance with that which is required by authority; subjection to rightful
restraint or control. (Obedience, 2003) Authority is a legal or rightful power; a right to command
or to act; power exercised buy a person in virtue of his office or trust; dominion; jurisdiction;
authorization. (Authority, 2003)
Stanley Milgram, a psychologist at Yale University, and other members of the community also
questioned the nature of obedience. Milgram reflected back to the 1933 events of the Holocaust.
Milgram began to question the intentions of the soldiers serving under Eichmann. Why would all
those German soldiers go along with kill millions of innocent Jews, slaves, homosexuals, children,
and gypsies? Were the soldiers just following the orders of Adolf Eichmann, leader of the German
Army? Milgram was interested in doing the obedience to authority figures study because he
questioned if Adolf s men were just following his orders, and this lead to killing of eleven million
innocent victims during the time period of the Holocaust. Milgram became enthusiastic in
researching the limit that the average person would go to obey orders from their authority figures,

strength and the Muslim culture is spreading demographically, while the West is becoming
increasingly preoccupied with its own internal problems such as crime, government deficits, drug
abuse, and a declining work ethic. Huntington uses graphs and charts very effectively in this section
of his book to visually depict the decline of the West s population, territory, and economic influence.
Also in this section, the concept of modernization vs. Westernization is discussed. Many cultures
desire to become modern, but without the negative trappings of Western civilization such as the
perceived lack of morals and weak work ethic of Westerners, and the primarily Western concept of
the separation between church and state. Modernization was once equated with Westernization but,
according to Huntington, this is now not always the case. His examples include the Japanese and
Islamic cultures. In Japan there has been a return to traditional Asian culture due to the prevailing
belief that their economic prosperity is directly linked to their traditional culture and that the
problems of the U.S. are linked to our Western culture. Islamic leaders have expressed similar
attitudes as well, and Huntington goes into great detail

Socrates Phaedo Analysis
In 388 BC, with a vote of 280 to 220, Socrates was sentenced to death. The Phaedo is the famous
account of Socrates death, where he offers his grieving friends many different arguments to justify
his belief in the immortality of the soul, and that it is only the body they will bury . Socrates
believes that one who has devoted his life to philosophyshould be confident in the face of death,
and hopeful of winning the greatest prizes in the next world after death . His rather optimistic
attitude towards death is justified by his belief that either death is a state of nothingness and utter
unconsciousness or it is the change and migration of the soul from this world to another and so
death should not be feared. To back up his claim, he uses the Argument from... Show more content

We must depend on contemporary sources from Plato and Xenophon and this imposes many
complications since it becomes unclear who ides are being presented at any one time. Plato was
also a philosopher himself, who recorded majority of the sources we have regarding Socrates life.
However, being a disciple of Socrates, his works may have introduced great bias and portrayed
Socrates in good light. More importantly, he would have been influenced by his own views and
beliefs towards a particular subject. In his account of Socrates death in the Phaedo, it is noted that
Plato was not there and therefore not an eyewitness to the event. This meant that many parts of it
may have been purely fictional, as he would also have immersed his own belief systems in
relation to death and the afterlife. Plato believed in the idea of incarnation, where one travels to the
underworld without any memory of the previous life and continued to live. He insisted that there
was an endless circle alternating between life and the afterlife, where the tripartite soul was in a
constant cycle being trapped in a human body and then escaping the body at death to return to the
realm of the forms and then back into a human body

Health Education in Schools
By Paul Favors, eHow Contributor
I want to do this! What s This?
Health education is the formal inclusion of the principles of wellness in the curriculum of a
particular educational institution. Among the concepts taught to students are information on illness
and their prevention, substance abuse and sexual relations. The ultimate purpose of health education
is to allow students to have an understanding of their bodies and develop beliefs related to health.

This is a familiar scene in the northernmost part of Ghana, which according to the Ghana Poverty
Reduction Strategy II, suffers from extreme poverty. These northern regions have the highest levels
of malnutrition and stunting among children, the highest child morbidity and mortality rates, the
most recurrent cases of guinea worm and other water borne diseases, and not surprisingly, the
lowest school enrollment and completion rates especially among girls.
Healthier Children Stay in School
To respond to these needs, CRS began a School Health Education Program (SHEP) in partnership
with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the Ghana Education Service (GES). The program,
initially funded as part of a United States Agency for International Development Title II grant, is
designed to improve the health and nutritional status of preschool and primary school children in
northern Ghana. Providing these children with a safe, hygienic school environment and meeting
their basic health needs increases the likelihood that they will enroll in, attend and complete
primary school. This is a strategic priority of CRS education work: improving access and equity for
vulnerable populations.
One of the ways this is done is by reducing intestinal infections, such as Helminthes, that so often
keep children out of school. UNICEF supplies de worming medicine and CRS ensures

attempting to regain the British and Scottish throne, there were several attempts of returning the
Stuarts to the throne but the closest to succeeding was between 1715and 1745. The essay will

1745 rebellion agonised from poor military leadership and tactic, the rising 1715 was led by John

Essay On Should Police Wear Body Cameras
Over the past year there have been many situations between police officers and civilians that we
don t exactly know what happened because it someone s word over another. In August 2014, an
unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown, was shot by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Some
witnesses confirmed the policeofficer s claim that he shot the teenager under self defense. While
others claimed that the victim posed no threat to the officer and that the shooting was uncalled for.
The result of this was that the police officerwasn t charged with a crime. If that officer had been
wearing a body camera, while he was on duty, we could see with our own eyes if Michael Brown
was threatening to the officer or if the shooting was unjustified. Police officers should wear body
cameras while on duty because the cameras would hold police accountable to their actions, prevent
violence, and would improve the public s perspective on police officers.
To begin with, if police officers wore body cameras they would hold them accountable for their
actions. The article of Should Police wear Body Cameras, explained that body cameras say that they

The article of Should Police wear Body Cameras, described that civilians and police officers are
far more mindful when being recorded. Both police officers and civilians are less likely to use
violence if they are being recorded with a body camera. For instance, the article More Local
Police Departments May start using Body Cameras stated that ever since 120 police officer in
California were given body cameras the reports of Police abuse dropped. Civilians could make
up fake claims that police officers are abusing them and we wouldn t be able to prove them wrong,
but now that those officers are wearing cameras while on duty, the reports against officers have
sufficiently decreased. Officers wearing body cameras on duty would help violence claims and

Essay on The Life and Theories of Charles Darwin
The Life and Theories of Charles Darwin
Charles Robert Darwin was the fifth child of Robert Waring Darwin and Susannah Wedgewood.
He was born on February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury,
England where his father practiced medicine. He attended Shrewsbury
Grammar School which was a well kn own secondary school which concentrated on teaching
classic languages. Even as a boy Darwin loved science and his enthusiasm for chemical studies
earned him the name Gas from his friends.
The headmaster at Shrewsbury, Dr. Samuel Butler noted, Here s a boy, plays around with his
gases and the rest of his rubbish and works at nothing useful. He was also an avid collector.

On Henslow s recommendation, Darwin was chosen to serve as naturalist for the exploration. The
Beagle set sail from Devonport on
December 27, 1831 and returned on October 2, 1836. Throughout the journey,
Darwin shipped back to England crate loads of tropical plants, insects, flowers, spiders, s hells and
fossil animals. He was very popular with the crew and was given the name Fly Catcher.
During the five year journey, he was exposed to different species of birds, insects and reptiles. He
noted that in the different environments that he visited changes occurred in the same species that
helped them to adapt to their surrounding s. It was as a result of these observations and
observations of other naturalists and geologists that
Darwin began to formulate his theory of evolution known as Natural
Selection. Darwin had left England as a youthful collector and returned as a dedicated naturalist.
Before the journey, he believed like Henslow, that the history of the earth was short and whatever
changes occurred were the result of vast catastrophes. By his return, he was convinced that the
earth was extremely old and its evolution was the result of many small changes. Natural Selection,
proposed by Darwin, is the most widely accepted theory on evolution today. The theory is based
upon five basic principles.

Elie Wiesel focuses on giving the reader a precise understanding of the Holocaust from the
perspective of a man who endured it. In order to vividly describe the situation, Wiesel uses specific
words or phrases to signify the importance and value behind it. Wiesel writes, Night. No one was
praying for the night to pass quickly. The stars were but sparks of the immense conflagration that
was consuming us. Were this conflagration to be extinguished one day, nothing would be left in the
sky but extinct stars and unseeing eyes (Wiesel 21). Night is used abundantly throughout the book.

Timothy Cirera WED Lab Physiology 12 Renal Lab Effects of Different Fluids on Urine Volume, Concentration, and pH Introduction The examination of urine is called urinalysis, which is a diagnostic method for assessing renal function and diagnosing various types of pathophysiology involving not on the kidneys but other organs and tissues as well. We will be focusing on the kidneys for this experiment. The kidneys play an essential role in regulating of extracellular concentrations of water, electrolytes, and certain end product of metabolism; additionally they regulate pH and osmotic pressure. The nutrient glucose is entirely reabsorbed back into the blood from the proximal tubules. Sodium ions and other ions are only partially reabsorbed from the renal tubules. Secretion is the final process by which substances move into the distal and collecting tubules from the blood in the capillaries around these tubules. Secretion moves substances out of the blood and into the tubules where they mix with water and other wastes and then converted into urine. Kidney tubule secretion plays an important role in maintaining the body s acid base balance. Hypothesis: In this experiment subjects receiving water will produce higher volumes of urine than the people receiving Gatorade. Also those consuming water will have a lower pH level and a lighter color. People who drink just water without additives will produce more volume of urine because the water will not be reabsorbed. Nutrients such as sugar and electrolytes from the Gatorade will be reabsorbed therefore the volume released will be less. Methods For this lab every student had to participate. Before the experiment started every participant had to fast for 4 hours. The time period for the experiment was from 12:00pm till 3:00pm. In the beginning of the experiment every participant received a sterol cup for the urine sample. During this experiment individual subjects had to empty their bladder every half an hour. Likewise, transportation can help human civilization to grow but at the same time, it can cause great damage to our natural environment. Although different forms of transportation have made lives easier by letting people travel from place to place in ease, it also has detrimental effects on the local environment. For instance, it can cause major pollution on all water, land and air. China has rejected the European Union s plan of controlling greenhouse gas from airplanes by using manageable carbon credits as a part of broader emissions trading system. Although the scientists around the world are concerned with the rising emissions of the airplanes by 11.2% per year, China has rebuffed this situation by considering the amount of money it would cost them. Due to the country s large population, China has one of the biggest problem on controlling their busy air transportation. China Air TransportAssociation has claimed that using manageable carbon credits would need 800m Yuan of $127 million per year. Therefore, EU made this case into consideration by the Chinese government by suggesting that only an increase by $3.30 in the airplane tickets can make it accomplish. It is very dramatic that the government neglect the fact that the pollution is harming not only the natural environment but also the citizens. The emissions of an air craft includes Nitrous oxides (NOX) and Sulfur oxides (SOX) that combine with gases already in the atmosphere causing fine particles that are extremely hazardous to human health. MANAGING A PROJECT TEAM Syed Tauseef Ali (Author) Civil Engineering Department Bradley University Peoria, Illinois syedtauseefali@mail.bradley.edu Abstract Managing a project team requires an understanding and knowledge of modern management as well as the knowledge of the design and construction process. Nowadays, associations in the development area use groups to meet today s global competition and client desires, however, they require better methods for assessing the viability of the groups. To guarantee that development groups are successful and viable, development organizations must advance, measure, and assess their groups viability. A project team is bound by a certain set of constraints, for example, delivering a construction project in a required time frame and so they need to see the big picture or have a clear set of goal planned in order to execute the project in time and with good quality. This paper is outlined to provide details regarding the roles and responsibilities of the different members involved in a project management team and what factors contribute to conflicts within the team and how they should be resolved. 1.INTRODUCTION Not all construction projects are same in size. There were two main campaigns running up to the referendum, there was YES Scotland, who were in favour of independence and there was Better Together, who were in favour of keeping the union. On the day of the referendum, approximately 3.6 million Scots voted. The turnout was 85% of the country, which is one of the highest turnouts for any election or referendum in the world. The No vote won by 55% and the Yes vote had 45% of the votes. There were pros and cons on both sides, but the best route for Scotland was the no vote. Why? One argument is that we don t which currency Scotland we would use, according to several politicians home and abroad. Politicians and economy experts say that it would be very little chance we would keep the pound or be able to use the Euro. • 8. Symbolism In Beowulf Can Beowulf be a representation of Christ for the Anglo Saxon era people? Many have speculated or at least pondered on his actions to be Christ like. When it comes down to it there are people who claim Beowulf to be Christ like and there are people who say Beowulf is not Christ like but just pagan folklore or an epic past down from generation to generation. In this article you will hear reasons as to why he is considered Christ like through his own actions and free will, you will see this through symbolism, portrayal of Christ, an example of knowing that they will die, and finally knowing that they will be betrayed by their own followers . So if you carefully read through this argument of the epic as to why Beowulfis like that, then you can at least see a glimpse or fully pick up on his Christ like abilities by personality, actions, and patterns.... He was like this because he knew man itself cannot thrive on it s own hate or prejudices but could thrive on life and learning. He sought out the good in people to motivate them as Jesus Christ did. Beowulf did all of these good deeds because he did it for the good of man and because he loathed the powers of evil that tempted man. He did all this for the good of man and because he cared of his people too, in the end of the epic Beowulf was proven to fight hard and save the treasure for his people so they could thrive for many years. One other thing Beowulf did to prove this Christ like sense was that he always thanked god, one example of this is, By favor of God we won the fight, did the deed of valor, and boldly dared the might of the monster, (Pg. 19) In just that line not only did he thank God but he was preaching to his men as well like Jesus ... Racism is one of the major issues in today s world. It is obvious that racism is not as bad as it was many years ago, but it sure has not gone away. A great number of people are unaware of how much racism still exists in our schools, works, and elsewhere. • 10. How Washington s Role And Legacy Has Been Manipulated By... Kush Patel Word Count: Edward G. Lengel, author of Inventing George Washington, brings a different approach to writing historical books. He has collected and sifted through virtually all mediums of Washington s life. Through his work I found a central theme of how Washington s role and legacy has been manipulated by society. Lengel displays the way writers, critics, and religious leaders changed George Washingtons identity for their own personal benefits; they have altered his religious orientation and his public image in both good and bad ways. George Washington s religious beliefs have always been altered or unclear to the American society. Lengel ponders, Washington considered attendance at religious services to be a civic duty. He believed that morality and the unfettered practice of religion ensured the prosperity of a well organized society (77). Washington was only partially religious to please the common people. He was selfless in doing what was in the best interest of his nation than himself. By taking the role of president, he had to sacrifice his own beliefs. The Valley Forge prayer incident was commonly disfigured by many. The story began when a Quaker, by the name of Isaac Potts, saw Washington in prayer, according to Mason Locke Weems. After the initial story, others began twisting it to their liking by adding horses or barns. As Lengel states, The image of Washington in prayer became iconic (86). • 14. Dealing with Change in Life We all have dealt with change at one point in our life. Change comes in many ways from having a new baby being born to transitioning to a new career. What I call this is forces of change. Secondly is how we process that change. It may simple and it may not be simple. Lastly once you process the change you are then able to manage change. If you manage change you will not be as stressed if you let it take over you. Change is never when you are ready. Yes you may plan to move to a new home or new state but you are still dealing with stress. The majority of us have change come to us when we are not ready. The most change that we have in our life is that of careerchange or work changes. We see it every day businesses may close or merge with another business. This is a big deal because people need to look for a new job or plan to retire. This change would be consider planned change. (Nelson Quick, 2013 p.668). Another change is that when managers are changed at your job. Managers come and go in a company. Many managers will move up in the company and many will pursue a different career. This is tough for employees to deal with because they get use to working in one direction until someone new comes in. This is consider to be unplanned change. (Nelson Quick, 2013 p668). Many companies do change as a globalize style. To me having a globalize style of change is planned and unplanned. According to the text book, terrorism is defined as a systematic attempt to inspire fear to gain political ends, typically involving the indiscriminate use of violence against noncombatants. Terrorist attacks is definately not new to the U.S. In 2001, al Qaeda lauched an attack on New York s World Trade Center. The attack killed thousands of Americans, and put the country in a state of panic and scare. One reason for this attack was that Islamics were angered that the U.S had troops on the soil of Saudi Arabia, which was regarded as sacred. Groups such as al Qaeda are extremely violent, and will not be negotiated with for peace. Recently, we have had several terrorist attacks including the Boston Marathon bombing, Muslim shooting at Fort Hood, and ISIS attacks on soldiers and journalists. Recently, attacks from domestic islamists are a major concern for the U.S. These individuals are self radicalized through beliefs and the internet, rather than being a part of a group. Farook and Malik, of the San Bernardino attacks, are examples of this. In my opinion, terrorism is a huge concern for all of the people of our country. I think the United States needs to have better background checks and investigations on immigrants before letting them into our country, and we need to have better online and phone security from the government so they can weed out threatening individuals that are already in the U.S. Without more security, organizations like ISIS or self radicals may extremely harm our country and kill many of the people in ... The Core Principles of Nursing Introduction: There are many different aspects to being a good nurse , but there are six core principles of nursing which have emerged through progression of the nursing profession, (DoH 2012). The core principles were brought in as a result of issues raised within the National Health Service (NHS) and have been identified as caring and compassion; dignity; communication; professionalism; emotional intelligence and the nurse patient relationship. The three principles I have chosen to analyse are communication, dignity and nurse patient relationship because it is my belief that when a nurse lacks awareness of these, they will also lack the ability to be a successful nurse. Maintaining dignity is not only meaningful in the first stages of caring for an individual, but essential throughout a patient s care; by giving the element of control, it will help promote patient independence. Promoting dignity can be achieved more easily if the patient and nurse establish a good working nurse patient relationship, further enhanced by treating each individual equally, regardless of protected characteristics, (e.g. age, culture, race, religion, etc.), to ensure everyone is given the same level of care and importance. Zion (2011) said that consistency within the unit, by the way the care staff approached patients right through to the way they communicated amongst colleagues, gave him what he needed to go back into society and get back hold of his dignity. Zion s perception supports the idea that nurses and care staff have a significant role in patient s experiences. McClellan was charged with leading the assault on Richmond, delivering what could have been a fatal blow against the Confederacy. During the Army of the Potomac s movements towards Richmond, McClellan repeatedly delayed, believing he had inferior numbers to his initial adversary, Confederate General Joseph E. Johnston. Privacy, Surveillance, And Law Essay Introduction 1As technology changes the way we live, especially by making communication and transactions easier, the security of our personal information becomes an important issue if people are expected to trust the government, companies, and each other. Although scholars have provided several accounts of the importance of privacy, it still remains unclear how individuals view and value it. For the purposes of this essay, privacy is broadly defined as the controlled access to personal information or ideas. In this paper, I will examine Richard Posner s article Privacy, Surveillance, and Law and Neil Richards s paper The Dangers of Surveillance. Although both Posner and Richards begin with the same assumption that people fear public scrutiny, their different interpretations of this human nature lead to different conclusions. While Richards relates privacy to our fundamental rights so that he considers any surveillance dangerous, Posner s belief that we value privacy as a possession that promotes other ends is more justified because it allows individuals to weigh the costs and benefits of surveillance. People Fear Public Scrutiny 2Fundamentally, both Posner s and Richards s arguments stem from the assumption that people fear public scrutiny. Accordingly, Richards claims that public exposure pressures people into conformity. The prospect of drawing unwanted attention due to deviant behavior encourages people to change such behavior. He emphasizes that although the West is still strong and growing in many areas, other civilizations are growing at a faster rate. Asian civilizations are booming both economically and in their military strength and the Muslim culture is spreading demographically, while the West is becoming increasingly preoccupied with its own internal problems such as crime, government deficits, drug abuse, and a declining work ethic. Huntington uses graphs and charts very effectively in this section of his book to visually depict the decline of the West s population, territory, and economic influence. Also in this section, the concept of modernization vs. Westernization is discussed. Many cultures desire to become modern, but without the negative trappings of Western civilization such as the perceived lack of morals and weak work ethic of Westerners, and the primarily Western concept of the separation between church and state. Modernization was once equated with Westernization but, according to Huntington, this is now not always the case. His examples include the Japanese and Islamic cultures. In Japan there has been a return to traditional Asian culture due to the prevailing belief that their economic prosperity is directly linked to their traditional culture and that the problems of the U.S. are linked to our Western culture. Islamic leaders have expressed similar attitudes as well, and Huntington goes into great detail ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We must depend on contemporary sources from Plato and Xenophon and this imposes many complications since it becomes unclear who ides are being presented at any one time. Plato was also a philosopher himself, who recorded majority of the sources we have regarding Socrates life. However, being a disciple of Socrates, his works may have introduced great bias and portrayed Socrates in good light. More importantly, he would have been influenced by his own views and beliefs towards a particular subject. In his account of Socrates death in the Phaedo, it is noted that Plato was not there and therefore not an eyewitness to the event. This meant that many parts of it may have been purely fictional, as he would also have immersed his own belief systems in relation to death and the afterlife. Plato believed in the idea of incarnation, where one travels to the underworld without any memory of the previous life and continued to live. He insisted that there was an endless circle alternating between life and the afterlife, where the tripartite soul was in a constant cycle being trapped in a human body and then escaping the body at death to return to the realm of the forms and then back into a human body ... In August 2014, an unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown, was shot by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Some witnesses confirmed the policeofficer s claim that he shot the teenager under self defense.
