ABSTRACT
Background: Mobility impairments seen after Stroke impact walking speed, endurance and balance.
Almost all the individuals with Stroke have fear of fall. The physical impairments in balance and
gait along with individual s perception about his/her own abilities to maintain balance might have
an impact on level of activity and participation in the community. The association of these variables
with recovery of Stroke has been well studied. However, it is currently unknown which of these
variables are most associated with activity and participation in the community. This study aimed to
identify the correlation of walking capacity and perception of fall with activity participation.
Methods: 30 Subjects were assessed for walking capacity (6 minute walk test) Self efficacy for falls
(Modified Falls Efficacy scale). Level of Activity Limitation (AL) Participation Restriction (PR)
was graded on validated ICF Measure of Participation and Activities. (IMPACT S)
Results: Data was analyzed using Pearson s correlation coefficient regression model. Walking
distance and Falls efficacy is significantly correlated (r= 0.751 and 0.683, respectively) with
Participation restriction. Walking distance correlated with Activity Limitation

link libraries). In fact, .CPL files are actually DLLs. Because an attacker could define which

prohibition of alcohol and how alcohol was a major thing in America. Once alcohol was banned

had such a bad reputation even though it hasn t been linked to any deaths or overdose. This

Kohlberg believed that we must have an understanding of justice as that represents the most

mountain rather than a book about what went on during their climb. Krakauer seems to be a
reasonable man and starts his climbing journey from the summit. This shows that the climax or
disaster is during the descent. Krakauer s description of being on the summit wasn t all that
exciting, showing how something disinterest is going to happen. I think he thinks reaching the
summit was not worth what it had cost, which he is correct because loosing friends is not worth
the risk. I do not understand why anyone would risk their lives just for a label. Although I
understand it was Krakauer s childhood dream, he has a wife at home and he should make sure

The Wellman Well is one of the most well known spot on campus as it is close to Memorial
Union. The building was built in honor of the 13th UC President Harry R. Wellman, and built in
1969. The building was remodeled in 1999 interiorly to keep up with the large number of

Wellman Hall since I have classes in the building. Everytime I passed through the Wellman s

Graduate Degree At The University Of Waterloo
The overarching goal I have for pursuing a degree in Industrial/Organizational psychology is to
gain experience from specific areas of research in the I/O psychology field. I have had the
opportunity to take part in the research of this field throughout my undergraduate degree but
have not been able to explore it as in depth as I could through a graduate degree. Completing a
Master s of Applied Science in I/O psychology at the University of Waterloo will allow me to
reach this goal as I know that research is an integral part of the program. As such, my current
interest in career choices are focused on the teaching and research aspects of being a professor.
My recent experience as an Honours Thesis student has demonstrated my passion for research
and teaching as I have had the opportunity to conduct my own research and present it in order to
teach my classmates about my thesis topic. My previous experience in research has
demonstrated that I have the ambition to pursue graduate studies in order to reach my career
aspiration. I know that a Master s of Applied Science in I/O psychology at the University of
Waterloo will guide and challenge me to achieve my long term goal. Throughout my Master s
degree my objective is to work with people and conduct impactful research. I enjoy collaborating
