The New City Of London
London is one of the oldest and most beautiful cultural cities in the world in which to live, of
course, is very prestigious, and due to the favorable situation in the country and the city, both
political and economic, real estate is constantly going up. Far not everyone can afford to purchase
it, so buying a property in London the choice of business and rich people. London a city that is
constantly expanding, built up, growing up. For London is typical build up industrial districts and
the old docks, destroying old buildings changing territory into attractive areas. New buildings in
these areas have a tremendous success. And all thanks to the amazing view that opens from their
windows on the main river of the capital the Thames. The same thing happened with Greenwich
Peninsula. Greenwich Peninsula area of 300 acres (121.4 hectares) is located in the southeast
London, on the south bank of the Thames. Once on the peninsula was a big factory on manufacture
of gas. In 1996 it abandoned and heavily contaminated site was chosen as the site for the experience
of regeneration of the former industrial area. First was built entertainment complex Millennium
Dome (now The O2), then a multi purpose indoor stadium O2 Arena. Greenwich Peninsula
reconstruction planned to be completed within 20 years, but with the onset of the crisis the project
has stalled. Although the time to build a complex of houses on the peninsula and piers at Riverside
Parkside. This transaction should be a

A Brief Note On The First Industrial Robot
Robots are interesting because they exist as a real technology that you can really study you can
get a degree in robotics and they also have all this pop culture real estate that they take up in
people s minds. (Daniel H. Wilson). The first industrial robot was created in 1956 by an inventor
named George Charles Devol. An industrial robot consist of rigid links that are connected by
mechanical joints. Many types of industrial robots are capable of doing different things from one
another like the Cartesian, which is limited to do x and y movements. The Polar, which has an arm
connected to the base with a twisting joint, is used for spot welding, handling machines, etc. The
Cylindrical, which has one rotary joint at the base and two... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

John Tammy states Robots will ultimately be the biggest job creators simply because
aggressive automation will free us up to do new work by virtue of it erasing toil that was once
essential ( Why Robots Will Be The Biggest Job Creators In World History par.3). According to
John Tammy robots will be the biggest reason why many people will have jobs. Robots will
create a lot of jobs for employees that will free them from doing hard labor. When labor is hard
and it can cause employees to be exhausted which results from them to slow down production
which is bad for the company. Without robots, employees are stuck with doing hard and even
time consuming labor which can slow down production. Industrial robots can help a lot of
companies make labor less harsh. In the future, Robotic Technology will have an impact on
industries by creating new jobs. Bill Lydon states Automation has allowed us to compete on a
global basis and it has created jobs in Southwest Michigan. If it had not been for automation we
would not have beaten our Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican competitors ( IFR Press Release 1).
This quote shows that robots not only help companies create more employment, they can also help
companies beat competitors. Which are very beneficial to them because it can help companies build
a good reputation because of the quality and popularity of their products. Robotic Technology can

Political Cartoons Dynamic progress of Women s Rights in...
One of the best ways to judge the different political arguments in Canada from the early 20th
century is by reviewing the different political cartoons that were released. These were an
effective way of educating the masses because it did not require an advanced education or
vocabulary to understand where each side was debating. One of the more popular conflicts that
were ongoing in the first years of the 1900 s was the fight for women s equality. This included the
right to vote and the right to participate in government. By comparing political cartoons from
before, during, and after the First World War the changing context of Canadian society also affected
the public opinion and the power balance towards the evolution of Women s equality.... Show more

The second cartoon from 1910 depicts an anti suffragette prediction of what Parliament would
look like if women were allowed to participate. This drawing is in reply to a statement made by a
British feminist who says The day will come when women will sit in your Canadian Parliament.
On one side of this cartoon, the Canadian Parliament is filled with women who are busy trading
recipes, worrying if their hat is on straight, petty topics to discuss in parliament. On the other side
there is Prime Minister Borden busy flirting while a minister behind him is arguing: the
appropriation for doilies and tidies for members desks is, I claim, not inadequate to the dignity and
toodleyumptyido of this house. This is a kind of vocabulary that is not at the same high standard
that is associated with politicians, therefore bringing down the quality and intentions of the debates
in Parliament. In the upper left hand corner there is a man saying, Well I ll be damned, while
leaning on a balcony beside a snail, which symbolizes the rate of progress that parliament would
assume if women were allowed to participate. This is a demonstration of the importance of the male
dominance in government, and an argument against the suffragette movement. The final pre War
cartoon is another anti suffragette opinion in response to the 1912 arrests of protesting women. It
is titled My Wifey Is In Jail and depicts the husband of an incarcerated suffragette

Informal Fallacies Of An Informal Fallacy
Our lives revolve around money. The value of a dollar does not buy much anymore; everything
comes with a price tag. The media likes to entice people with catchy slogans, celebrities or any
other setup just so they can obtain our money. Once they grasp our attention we realize most of
these attention grabbers had no relation to their argumentor what they are trying to sell. Thus the
correct term for the types of misleading ads and television commercials is called informal fallacies.
The purpose of an informal fallacycan be to enact reactions from the audience, used to discredit a
person or lastly appeal to a certain outlook. They mainly lack the validity in order to prove their
argument. The media provides us with many scenarios using different forms of informal fallacies.
I will provide three notable examples of informal fallacies by explaining the type of fallacy and why
the media used this fallacy.
To start off, I should first differentiate between a formal and informal fallacy. A formal argument
is when the argument lacks the correct structural form. The form of the fallacy will then be able
to tell us if the fallacy is valid or invalid. The difference is in the way the argument is written,
informal fallacies lack context in order to make the argument. For example, I came across a
nationwide commercial that took a different approach in order to sell to the public. Rather than sell
to their audience some reasons why they should chose to consult with the company they

The Pros And Cons Of Intellectual Property Law
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) defines anti competitive
practices as the many ways firms restrict inter firm competition to maintain or to increase their
relative market position and profits without necessarily providing goods and services at a lower
price or at a higher quality. The American Federal Trade Commission states that anti competitive
practices include activities such as price fixing, group boycotts and exclusionary exclusive dealings.
These activities are generally grouped as agreements between competitors (horizontal conduct) and
monopolization (single firm conduct).
In order to explore the extent to which exercise of intellectual property rights may be considered
anti competitive, the definition must ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cause of the tensions has been traced to the objectives of both the laws. In definition, IPR gives
the owners an exclusive right to behave in a particular way, when competition law does everything
in its power to keep the markets open. So then tension rises at which point does IPR become
harmful and competition law should intervene and override IPR?
Lionel Bentley and Brad Sherman have, in their book; Intellectual Property Law acknowledged that
indeed there is tension between competition law and intellectual property law. While discussing the
effect of competition law on the exploitation of copyright , they state that a copyright entitles an
owner to use the property in a manner which he or she so wishes and that the copyright owner
cannot be compelled to apply their rights in a particular manner. This is the exclusivity of a right.
They, however, acknowledge that there are circumstances in which competition law may require a
property owner to make available the right for use by the public. They state that operators in
dominant positions have a special responsibility not to allow their conduct to impair

Peace and Granduer in The Romantic Temper
Seeing past the flawed, faith in possibilities and insistence on equal opportunities for all defined
the Romantic s outlook and attitude. With sights firmly set on the wonders of another dimension,
The Romantic Temper is filled with thoughts of peace and grandeur. The ability to imagine and
fantasize is what allowed for the Romantic man to flourish, even the most turbulent times. In the
mid century the Romantic artists in America experienced their nation s capital burned to the
ground, the panic and depression, but instead of giving way to the pressure, they created some
of the greatest literary pieces ever produced in the America s history. Their passionate
conceptions boldly challenged, enlightened and inspired Americans and Europeans alike.
Romantics broke down barriers and created new social norms increasing national pride and
getting people to stand up for what was right. Look beyond what is understood as perfect. The
Romantic saw beauty in the unique, what stood out or caught the eye. Taking Poe s quote from
Bacon , there is no excellent beauty, , without some strangeness in the proportion, they saw
beauty and then pondered on why it was so, the findings showed that the exquisite in its
differences, draws more attention towards it. In Poe s Ligeia, Ligeia is just like any other
attractive looking woman, except for her distinctive eyes , [her] shining, [her] divine orbs ! Seeing
as that the eyes are commonly referred to as the window to the soul, it does seem

Pros And Cons Of Lowering The Drinking Age
Your daughter is driving home one Friday evening, after a late shift working at the local
hospital. It s dark out, and suddenly headlights are coming towards her. Before she has time to
avoid the oncoming car, she gets hit head on. The cops appear at the scene she is pronounced
dead the other driver, an eighteen year old, is transported to the hospital in handcuffs: arrested for
drunk driving, and illegal consumption of alcohol. Now you are left without a daughter. Forever
devastated by the loss, your families lives have been changed forever. Accidents like these occur
and leave families in shambles, and the number of these accidents would be much higher if the
legal drinking agewas lowered to eighteen years old. By keeping the drinking age at twenty one
years old we would efficiently reduce the number of these tragic accidents. The minimum legal
drinking age (MLDA) is a controversial issue over whether or not it should be lowered to the
age of eighteen. It is shown that keeping the MLDA of twenty one would benefit society in
multiple ways. A MLDA of twenty one was historically shown to be better than an age of
eighteen, by showing it saved lives. A drinking age of twenty one also proves to be more beneficial
for the adolescent brain, would change college drinking, and would reduce the number of drunk
driving accidents. While many students think lowering the minimum legal drinking age (MLDA)
to eighteen would be a good idea, it would actually destroy lives, brain

Originals Vs Convallaria
The avant jazz trio Thumbscrew, a collaborative project co led by guitarist Mary Halvorson,
bassist Michael Formanek, and drummer Tomas Fujiwara, augmented their discography with
the release of two new complementary if conceptually distinct albums, suitably entitled Ours and
Theirs. Following the example of their second album, Convallaria, these sessions were born
from a residency at Pittsburgh s City of Asylum and demonstrate the strong sonic chemistry of
musicians who have been regular presences in one another s bands. Theirs consists of ten
visionary renditions of non originals, including standards ( East of the Sun , The Peacocks ),
post bop sensations (Wayne Shorter s Dance Cadaverous , Herbie Nichols s House Party Starting ,
Stanley Cowell s Effi ), hard bop classics (Benny Golson s Stablemates ), avant garde numbers

Loretta Lynn The Pill Analysis
Oral birth control in the United States has a long history of controversy. For many years after it
was legalized for married couples it was still considered taboo to talk about. So of course, Loretta
Lynn, appropriately named Queen of Country, wrote and performed a song about it. This spunky,
out spoken, record setting country goddess saw absolutely no qualm when it came to discussing,
the pill . Although this ground breaking song on the birth controlforefront might seem revolutionary,
it was nothing new for an artist like Lynn, who characteristically wrote songs about the hushed
aspects of domestic life. Loretta Lynns song, The Pill , pushed social boundaries in the 1970 s by
encouraging married women, especially in rural areas, to take control of their lives with the use
of oral birth control. Lynn did so by informing rural women of the normalcy of oral birth control.
Loretta Lynn was born Loretta Webb on April 14, 1932, in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky. Lynn
grew up in a small poor Appalachian coal mining community and was the second of eight
children. Loretta s career began when she started singing in church as a child. When she was 16,
she married Oliver Lynn. The couple soon moved to Custer, Washington. During their first four
years in Washington Lynn has four children, Betty Sue, Jack Benny, Ernest Ray and Clara
Marie. Lynn was still passionate about music and began to play at local venues. By 1960, she
had released her first single, I m a Honky Tonk Girl. She moved to Nashville, where she
continued to perform and promote her music. Moving to Nashville was arguably one of Lynn s
best decisions. That is where she met one of her best friends and role models, Patsy Cline, as well as
find fame and recognition there. During her career Lynn has garnered an impressive release of
more than 160 songs, 60 albums, a total sale of 45 million records, ten Number 1 albums and
sixteen Number 1 singles on the country charts, and was the first women to win the the CMA s
Entertainer of The Year. Loretta Lynn s most popular song, The Pill , was written about a married
woman taking birth control. Today, this a common occurrence for American women. However, in
1975, there was a lot of controversy still surrounding the

Energy Radiation And Its Effect On The Cells
In the past, the applications of light, more specifically laser, in health and clinical applications have
been focused on its destructive phototoxic effects. This effect is associated with high energy
radiation, whereas low energy radiation has been found to induce a stimulating effect on the cells.
The heat inducing lasertissue ablation effect used in surgery and the disinfectant antimicrobial effect
of lighttherapy are distinctly different from the beneficial healing response stimulated by
photobiomodulation (PBM). The nonionizing and low power lasers used in PBM are in
wavelengths of visible (660 nm), near infrared(810 and 940 nm), and in some rare cases, mid
infrared (1040, 2940, 9400 or 10400 nm)1. In recent studies, due to... Show more content on

One of the challenges to use PBM in clinical treatments is the effective dose parameter; the
wavelength, irradiance, fluence, duration and delivery protocols are specific to each biological
scenario (alleviating pain and inflammation or stimulate regeneration)6,7 and the target area and
penetration depth. Another prominent challenge is that, even though clinical studies using low
level light therapy (LLLT) or PBM has been shown to be successful through a variety experimental
studies6,8, the study of the molecular mechanisms involved in the trigger release effects haven t
been well documented. Most of the molecular level studies have been based on inclusion exclusion
of certain genetic dispositions, growth factors and receptors9,10. This article will, however, focus
more on the low power laser technology its selection, modulation, application, potential
improvements, and also brief description on some of the important optical imaging techniques that
can be used in this research field to study the molecular mechanics and regenerative effects.
Improvement in laser technology can potentially improve the scope of application of lasers in the
area of study (regenerative medicine) I wish to focus on.
Background
The feature of lasers, summarized below, are what enable its use in surgical, clinical and
experimental medicine and in spectroscopy and microscopy tools for analysis.

The Socratic Method In Euthyphro
The Socratic Method is a very famous method of questioning that is not very known, although it
is very important, even today. It inspires the respondent to dig deeply and think about the
question with a new mind and new freedom which is obtained by discarding the previously held
beliefs. The Socratic Method is valued because it allows people to live their lives in virtue.
Living a virtuous life means to be honest, respectful, courageous, forgiving, and kind. One who
lives a virtuous life is able to live a happy life. While reading The Euthyphro by Plato, I came across
the use the Socratic Method. The Socratic Method is useful in that it enables a person to live a
virtuous life. The three parts to the method are: the questioner claims to... Show more content on

Socrates asks for a standard definition of piety, so he could figure out what was pious and what
was not; a list of examples does not really do that. Socrates than gives Euthyphro a chance to give

Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House Essay
What comes to mind when the word morals is said? Whose morals should be followed, individual
or group? In A Doll House, Ibsen portrays the protagonist, Nora, to follow the morals of her
husband, Torvald. Four key aspects that help Nora decide to change her mind and make a decision
to leave Torvald. These include the constant change of nicknames, the questioning of her own
independence, the questioning of Torvald s love, and the realization that Torvald loves his
reputation more then herself. As a result, Nora sets out to find her own individuality and moral
beliefs.
When it comes to the use of nicknames, the tone of voice is an indication of how a person feels
about another. As the story begins, we find Nora and Torvald in... Show more content on

As their conversation grows deeper, a smaller argument begins to form. They begin talking
about burdens that each one has dealt with and Mrs. Linde states, . .. you know so little of life s
burdens yourself (1192). Nora, taking offense, replies, You re just like the others. You all think I
m incapable of anything serious (1193). This is the second piece of evidence because Mrs. Linde
helps Nora to begin realizing that she has not been as independent as she thought. Nora starts to
apprehend that she has been sheltered her whole life and does not know what it means to be
independent or to have her own set of morals. She begins to question what she believes in and what
others have her believing in.
As Mrs. Linde and Nora continue with their conversation, Nora begins to question whether
Torvald does love her. Nora begins to tell her story of how she was the one to raise the money for
the trip to Italy and not Torvald. She reveals how she went to Krogstad and asked for a loan to
help pay for the trip. When Mrs. Linde asked if Torvald knew any of this information Nora
replied, He s so strict on that subject ... with all his masculine pride how painfully humiliating for
him if he ever found out he was in debt to me (1194). Nora did not feel comfortable telling
Torvald about the predicament because she did not want to offend him. Torvald is set on

The Chalic Glass Pipe In Aztec Culture
There are many cups in the world. These instruments have been used since the beginning of time
in everyday life. They are defined as petite, bowl shaped containers used for drinking. Cups come
in many shapes, colors and are made out of several types of materials such as glass, plastic,
wood, clay, metal, stone, and china among others. These objects also hold other uses unrelated to
drinking. Due to the cup s pitted structure, it can also be used for holding smaller objects that
would otherwise become easily misplaced. They also can possess cultural, religious, artistic,
educational, as well as architectural significance. It is common knowledge that cups have been
used since the beginning of time. The earliest recorded cups were made of shells and stones.
Special cups were fashioned for kings and queens especially in Aztec culture. They were seen as
the only ones worthy of drinking out of these carefully created and fashioned instruments. These
nicely crafted and decorated instruments showed their importance and impact, the same way their
majestic homes did. A cup can also bare symbolic importance. The Chalice, with its gold exterior

School Uniform Policy And School Uniforms
When my son started school in 2007, he was not required to wear any type of uniform for almost
two academic years. As soon as he started first grade, he noticed a big change; a new dress code
which makes him wear the same color of outfit as his classmates, a uniform. Many schools in the
world use uniform in schools. Brunsma a sociologist at the Virginia university stated in his book
that: The idea of requiring public school students to wear uniformswas first envisioned in the 1980s
by then Washington, D.C., mayor Marion Barry, who believed standardized dress might help
public school students succeed as well as those in the city s Catholic schools. The idea flopped, but
in 1987, Cherry Hill Elementary School in Baltimore implemented the first known schoolwide
uniform policy as a means of reducing clothing costs and social pressures on children, (David
Brunsma 2004). School uniform put together children of all social class and help them feel more
comfortable, School uniforms enhance equality amount student and reduce complexity in schools.
The strategy of uniform in schools picked up force in the 1980s after it was noticed that catholic
schools, which wore regalia performed better as far as execution and control. Because of the
eminent advantages that garbs gave to the catholic schools, numerous state funded schools chose to
acquire from these schools and created arrangements for their student to wear school regalia when
going to the school. It is ideal to take a gander

place in my high school. As a class monitor, I was put in a priority to be arranged to do an English
placement test for high school students with no cost. If my result was above the standard score,
I would get a full scholarship to study in the US as an exchange student for one year. My
aspiration had been again raising up until the day I received the result. I was the student who got
the highest score among over 400 contestants, it was such a most surprising news ever to me.
However, it was also the worst day ever in my entire life. I came home with a sense of
excitement and smiles appearing on my face during the way home. That was not an ending of a
day as happy as the Korean romantic dramas, I showed the result to my parents, immediately, my
father said No as if he was the judge in American Got Talents saying to contestants who failed at
their performance. Yes, No meant that I wouldn t be allowed to get that scholarship and had to stay
in Vietnam to continue my study, graduate and enter a well known Vietnamese college. I feel like
everything in the sky was falling down onto my head after hearing that word. All my effort one
more time was thrown away. A bunch of negative thoughts had begun coming out into my mind.
Without any responses, I went to my room in silence and torn down all my American stuff,

Bottle Rocket Research Paper
There are many principles that went into the succession of the bottle rocket launch. Some could
include the amount of fuel exerted on the bottle rocket, and the angle of the rocket when launched.
A large problem that occurred during launch was that only 4 tests were able to be performed. These
were all contributing factors to the success of the bottle rocket. To start off, the main factors of
physics that could explain how and why the bottle rocket did what it did could be pressure, velocity,
mass flow rate, momentum, and inertia. The rocket was under extreme amounts of pressure when
launched, because the pressure was a high number. The velocity of the rocket was 56.47. This
means that the rocket was going around 56 meters per second. The momentum of the rocket was
13.95 Newtons. The definition of momentum is the quantity of motion of a moving body,... Show

This can be explained by Newton s 1st law of motion, which is the law of inertia. Newton s 1st
law states that any object at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line will remain at rest unless
compelled by an outside or internal force. In the case of the rocket, an external force that
compelled it to move was the pressure from the rocket launcher. When in motion, another force
that compelled the rocket was gravity. Gravity caused the rocket to slowly and gradually fall to
the ground. The last force that acted on the rocket was the action of hitting the ground. After the
rocket hit the ground, it bounced straight back up. This could be explained by Newton s 3rd law,
which states that every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction. The reaction of the rocket
hitting the ground had an opposite reaction of the rocket bouncing back up again. Newton s
second law is the rate of change of momentum of a body is directly proportional to the force
applied, which explains why adding more fuel made the rocket go

Job Evaluation, Performance Management, And Compensation
In order to lay a foundation for a balanced, unbiased and fair system of pay, job evaluation has to
be in place. While people may think the focus is on the employee in the position, this could not be
further from the truth. The focus is primarily based on the job itself. The contribution of the
employee is covered in performance appraisal (Nigro Kellough, 2014, p. 103). In most
organizations where work is being performed, it is structured rather discretely and certain tasks are
set into identifiable jobs. Job evaluation is to enhance efficiency and equity in a variety of core
personnel functions (p. 103). It is very useful when involving recruitment, examination, selection,
performance management, and compensation (p. 103).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
103). This system simplifies the employee appraisal process and ensures that the development of
the pay system is equal (p. 103). With any system and organization there are issues, advantages
and disadvantages. This research will also focus on the methods involving job analysis and
evaluation, job pricing, and the issues in the public sector pay policies. The advantages and
disadvantages of four different job evaluation methods will also be thoroughly discussed. Job
analysis plays a vital role in a lot of human related activities, but every process that has
interventions, has limitations. According to Michael Armstrong (2003), job analysis provides
first hand job related information, it provides valuable job related data that helps managers (p.
173). Managers analyze the duties and responsibilities of a particular job, risks and hazards
involved in it, and skills and abilities required to perform the job (p. 173). One of the most
important activities it helps with is, creating suitable jobs for employees. When HR fits the right
person, in the right job, it tests the skills, understanding and competency of the HR manager. It
helps them understand what type of person is suitable for the position (p. 173). Armstrong (2003)
provides information regarding job analysis and several helpful tips with establishing operative
hiring practices and training needs such as, who should be hired, where they should be placed,
when to convey training and how, what type of

The Failure To Obey The Law
The law is a system of rules that govern the people in the country or community making them
responsible for their actions. Failure to oblige by these rules is punishable, and a penalty is
always enforced on the people who do not obey the law. The law also consists of the procedures
that should be followed for the people to live responsibly and also what should be done on those
who do not follow the rules. As provided in the U.S Constitution under the Eight Amendment, a
bail consists of the amount of money that a defendant should pay in order to be released out of the

People mostly have a right to bail except capital cases in 40 state constitutions. There are a few
reasons why bail is significantly important to a defendant. First, it gives the individual time to
wait for their trial outside the jail cell. Without bail, the defendant would have to await their trail
but stay in jail for a number of months. It wouldn t seem fair for someone to spend time in jail if
they are presumed not guilty in the near future. Second, bail gives the defendant time to spend
with their lawyer, so they carefully prepare for the upcoming trial. Statistically, people generally
are convicted and sentenced more when they don t make bail compared to the ones that do make
bail (Lippman 2015). Families with a low income suffer the most because they may not have
enough to pay 10 percent fee. Most importantly, bail gives the individual time to spend with their
loved ones while dealing with dire

The reuse of older art works in contemporary times is not an uncommon occurrence, and many

The entablature and pediment rest on top of the columns, forming post and lintel construction. The
entablature often contains friezes in the Ionic order, and metopes and triglyphs in the Doric. The
metopes were often painted and the triglyphs may have symbolized wood cross beams that would
have been used before the knowledge of stone construction was developed. The Ionic friezes often
contained sculpted figures that relate in some way to the functionality of the temple or building.
The pediment, which rests on the entablature, usually has the shape of an isosceles triangle with
sculpture that varies from low relief to sculpture in the round.
The organization of the columns around the main body of the temple varies in about five major
styles. The first three have a small rectangular shaped building called a cella with two to four
columns in front, as with the in antis style and the prostyle, or with an additional four columns in
back as with the amphiprostyle temples. The last two styles consist of a larger rectangular building
divided into two rooms, one functioning as a cella. These two styles are mainly differentiated by
one row of columns surrounding the structure, called peripteral, or with two rows of columns,
called dipteral. If one looks at the picture with these standards of Greek architecture in mind, some
noticeable similarities and differences occur.

What are your thoughts on the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular education
classrooms? The inclusion of students with disabilities in a traditional education classroom has
been a subject of controversy for many years. Often times it is at the center of discussion amongst
administrators, teachers, and parents. Inclusionis a philosophy and is meant to create settings
where all students in a K 12 school and classroom are a full part of the learning community
regardless of their strengths or weaknesses. Those who support inclusion believe that the child
always should begin in a traditional educational environment and be removed only when
appropriate services can t be provided in the regular classroom. Full inclusion means all students,

Interpretation Of Love In Songs Of Solomon By William...
Introduction
Take all my loves, my love, yea, take them all: What hast thou then more than thou hadst before?
No love, my love, that thou mayst true love call All mine was thine before thou hadst this more.
The preceding poem, written by William Shakespeare, tells of a lover wanting to give all their
love to their lover. Similarly, the writer of Songs of Solomon tells of giving all the love to their
lover. Through this writing, different aspects of the Songs will be addressed, along with the
defense of the various forms of the Songs. Finality will show how the Songs fit with the church of
today.
Song of Solomon Brief list of the different ways the Song is Interpreted
Kathryn Harding, Biblical Interpretation, I sought him but I did not find him : The Elusive Lover in
the Song of Songs, sources several scholars regarding the Songs of Solomon. These sources give
an insight into their interpretation of the Songs. One source focuses on the male lead of the Song
and the aspect of power from Cheryl Exum who discussed, the male protagonist s concerns about
the power dynamics between himself and his lover in the Song; in her totality he finds her
overwhelming, even intimidating, and so he fragments her, considers her little by little, piece by
piece, in his wasМЈfs.
Subsequently, another source emphasizes how can one have sexual intimacy if they are apart from
one another. This is referenced from the writing by Edward Burne Jones who states:

Compare And Contrast Middle Colony And New England Colonies
Upon the settlement of Jamestown in the 17th century the British Colonies of the East Coast were
divided into three distinct areas; New England, the Middle Colony, and the Southern Colony. While
the three regions had comparable similarities, their differences were more noted. When the first
colonies were founded, it was due to pilgrims wanting religious freedom, and countries striving for
move power, riches, and a name. The southernmost colonies were founded when wealthy leaders
expanded looking for land ownership and more power.
While all the colonies were ran by a democratic government, each individual region had a different
spin on it. The Middle Colony separated the church from the government laws, while New England
believed the Church should have supreme ruling in all things government related; and the Southern
Colonies were ruled by the wealthy, as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

kettle and the cups and put it on the floor. I sang, This is the way we pour our drink and
pretended that I was from the cup. Child A took the other cup and drank from it. Uh oh! Out of

because the amount of money they make for entertaining the public. Kobe Bryant makes more

Police officers don t get paid enough for the situations they have to deal with that can possible
cost their life. Firefighters also deserve more money for what they do. Firefighters go fight fires
that can turn on them at any moment that could cause them to give up their lives. Along with
police officers, firefighter deserve better pay for what they do for our community. Lastly,
paramedics deserve a pay raise more than professional athletes do. Paramedics get paid the least
out of all of these other occupations and they have a difficult job. Their main objective is to get
people to the hospital as fast as possible and alive. Professional athletes should give up some of
their money to help pay for these occupations that deserve them (Bhagat, M., 2017).
Also, teachers deserve better pay because the play a more important role in society than athletes.
Teachers get us prepared for life through the information they teach us. None of these professional
athletes would be where they are today without the dedication teachers put into our lives. With the
amount of pay offered for a teacher, young adults that dreamed of becoming teachers will get
turned down because the pay isn t enough for the time they invest. They spend long hard working

Monovision Lens
Contacts May Be The Best Way To Deal With Your Presbyopia If you have presbyopia, you may
be frustrated by the need to wear reading glasses. If your vision has always been good, it may be
difficult to get used to wearing glasses since you don t need to wear them all the time. You may
constantly misplace your glasses and never seem to have them when you need to read
something. The solution to this problem could be contact lenses. You can get contacts for your
presbyopia, even if you have no other vision problem. Here s how it works. Monovision Lenses
Monovision contact lenses are one option when you have presbyopia. With these, one lens is
fitted for your far vision, and the other is fitted for your close vision. Your eyes grow
accustomed to the lenses and the result is you can see clearly far away and up close because
your eyes focus through the lens that s needed for what you re doing. One disadvantage of these
contacts is they may affect your depth perception. They might also make it difficult for you to see
well when you drive at night. Your optometrist can help you decide if monovision lenses are right
for you based on the results of your eye test and your lifestyle. One advantage of going with

problem as well as your presbyopia. It takes an adjustment period to get used to wearing bifocal
lenses, but eventually, you ll be able to adjust your vision from near to far without noticeable
visual disturbances. Of course, it is important to get the precise prescription for the lenses, which
your eye doctor will do after examining your eyes, the shape of your cornea, the amount of tears

A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Bech Essay
This memoir about a boy soldier was very condescending. This was a true story for the author,
Ishmael Beah and his life changing events that occurred in his past. Ishamel Beah was a twelve
year old African boy who lived in Sierra Leone Africa who fled attacking rebels due to a civil
war in his country, who wandered into different villages trying to avoid the violence that seemed
almost inevitable. He sauntered along with his brother and friends who scraped by day by day

When Ishmael Beah was back in Sierra Leone, his villages were taken over by a rebellious group
and slaughtered his family along with others. He traveled for days with his brother and friend
and then was taken and transformed into a boy soldier who was convinced to seek revenge on
the death of his own family. This book really shows the transformation in him when he s in New
York in the middle of a mob of protestors and must restrain himself from anger. When he s put
into this position, he tries not to remember the time when he was a soldier and hold back those
feelings in his inner self. What Ishmael Beah wants us to know is that people can change no
matter the struggles and it takes fight and courage despite the events that have happened in your
past. In the first chapter, Beah starts off with an allusion about a movie called Rambo: First Blood.
He was sharing his knowledge on what he knew about war and that this movie was the only thing
he knew and what happens in war. In the text he says, The only wars I knew of were those... (p.

years old. The only thing he knew about war was from what he s read and watched about Rambo.
He chooses an allusion because it is something that most audience members can refer to and can
comprehend the same knowledge that Beah had when he was taken from the Rebels. Not only is

Analysis Of The War In Iraq
The basic levels of analysis start at the individual level. This is done by locating the sources of
behaviors and outcomes of the characteristics and natural tendencies of people. Examples of the
variables would be one s perceptions, personality, and preferences. By using these variables, one
can analyze the effects those individuals will have on the policies. In the war in Iraq, we can analyze
the individual role George W. Bushhad as the President of the United States. Because the President
viewed Saddam Hussein as aggressive and dangerous, Bush chose to declare war against them in
order to prevent further attacks. George W. Bush s personality as a protector and a leader would
cause him to feel the need to protect his country, and also the allies of the United States. He saw

Analysis Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome ( Pcos )
About 5 10% of the female population is affected by Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The
cause is unknown, but it is considered to be the most common endocrine disorder in women.
Genetics and insulin resistance are believed to play a significant role. One of the first symptoms
is an irregular period. Others include an imbalance in the female sex hormones, weight gain, and
male patterned hair growth and balding. Aside from hormonal treatments, there are some
natural ways to treat PCOS and eliminate many of the symptoms. A proper diet and weight loss
routine is essential. After my own horrific experience with PCOS, I decided to take my health
into my own hands. At the beginning of the month, I weighed 320 lbs. My goal is to get down
to 180 lbs. by April 13th, 2014. Today is Day 13 of my lifestyle change and my current weight is
301.2 lbs. Here are some helpful things I ve learned so far: Keep a Weight Loss Journal So
many of the weight loss tips I d read talked about keeping some sort of journal to keep track of
progress, calories, and the weight lost. I registered at MyNetDiary and began using that
immediately. I chose MyNetDiary because it also featured an application for my smartphone,
making it accessible on the go. Try to Plan Your Meals Ahead of Time With MyNetDiary, your

about what your meal plan is going to look like the next day. If you have a vague idea, you

The Voting Age Should Be Legal
Twenty one year olds are mature enough to make important decisions such as voting. Most
countries around the world have established a voting age. Voting is a topic of heated debate in the
United States due to difference of opinions between the democrat and republican parties. In the
United States the votingage has been reduced from twenty one years old to eighteen years old.
Even though the voting age was reduced, some people have been lobbying in order to reduce the
voting age to sixteen. Reducing the legal age for voting is a bad idea, because the younger
generation lacks the capability of having an informed decision for voting. Although some people
believed that the legal voting age should be lower than eighteen, on the other hand others believe it
should be returned to twenty one. The legal voting age should be returned to twenty one because
the majority of people over twenty one are more educated about politicsthan an eighteen year old.
People who are over twenty one are not easily influenced by people s opinions and are more
capable of evaluating future outcomes.
The legal voting age should be returned to twenty one, because people over twenty one are more
educated about politics. People under the age of twenty one tend to focus more on social media
and school. However, most people under the age of twenty one do not understand how much
politics and government affects their life. If you go to any college campus and talk with eighteen
year old student, you may find out

Imperialism In Africa
Imperialism was a time of new inventions, technology, and many other things. Imperialism had
many positive things like, transportation, spread of technology, and an increase in education.
Because of Imperialism transportation became a thing. Also communication with other foreign
countries became a thing. Then there was an increase in education too. Without imperialism
transportation would not be a thing. One example is railroads, railroads are used for transporting
people to and from their destinations. Another example are steamboats, without steamboats
people would never be able to transport their goods to and from. People will say but slaves made
these railroads. Well without transportation everyone would have to walk to every single place we
wanted to go. Because of imperialism spread of languages around the world started to happen. An
example of this is that now tribes can communicate with other foreign countries, this is good
because now we can understand tribes and what they are trying to say to us. Also other foreign
countries can communicate with each other, like africans can now learn and speak english because
a lot of Africas land in taken over by great britain. A very good thing about the spread of languages
is that we can learn new languages ourselves and speak to the countries we have... Show more

Roman Land Reform Essay
The Gracchus brothers, Tiberius and Gaius, were Romans who both served as Tribunes in the
late 2nd century BC. They attempted to pass land reform legislation that would redistribute the
major aristocratic landholdings among the urban poor and veterans, in addition to other reform
processes. However, after achieving some early successes, both were assassinated by enemies of
these reforms. The period which we have considered as the most heroic in Roman history, is one
of the saddest and one of the most interesting. It is one of the saddest, because it was a time when
the Roman state was torn apart by civil strife. As the arms of the conquerors were turned against
themselves. It is one of the most interesting, as it shows to us some of the greatest... Show more

Abstract The historical context of globalization covers centuries. This paper divides those centuries
into three eras. The first era covers the fifteenth through eighteenth centuries and views
globalization through the lens of individuals who struggled to overcome natural, governmental,
religious and economic barriers in their quest for wealth, freedom, position, and power. Throughout
this era, the world of commerce was encumbered by territorial boundaries. The second era covers
the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and saw great technological advances in transportation,

The Influence Of Food In The Middle Ages
Food in the middle ages was a defining part of culture and everyday life. Food reflected people s
ways of living, it told whether they were part of the powerful and rich nobility or if they were
poor and humble peasants. Unlike in today s modern world, there was a great difference between
what the rich and the poor could afford to eat.
People s lives were strictly set around a pyramid like system where the royalty was on the top
and the peasants which consisted of most of the population were at the bottom. The peasants had
to work for the nobles and the nobles in turn had to give them protection and a place to live, all
while also providing the king with military service, money, and supplies. There was no middle

To Be in America
A young man, no older than seventeen, rises in the morning, reluctant and restless, to attend school,
to witness diversity and socialize, and to learn, as mandated by those governing his country, the
United States of America. He walks into his kitchen to grab breakfast before he leaves, grudgingly
acknowledging a lecture from his mother and father about the evils in the twenty first century the
prevalent drugs on the street, the rampant violence, the abhorrent depiction of sex in the media,
socialism. When he senses the end of the lecture he is hardly listening he waves goodbye and gets

There is truth in the comprehension that the particular nation in question is an amalgamation of
several issues and just as many admirable qualities; it is the identification of the aforementioned
qualities and the understand of their relationship to each other that defines the quality of life here.
As a millennial caught in what was arguably one of the nation s more drastic transitions, the
knowledge about what is done differently awakens an awareness about how deeply the roots of
pride in America have corrupted moral values and respect for humankind. The values of both good
and bad capitalism, and to an extent, neo liberalism which is also extremely attractive to the public
because of its principle of enabling friendly competition between businesses, which permits
individuals practically unlimited levels of personal freedom, giving them the chance to create and
expand businesses and achieve what, for decades, has been called The American Dream . On top of
that, many academics have made a distinction between what they deem good and bad capitalism.
Good capitalism appears to be founded in nations of social democracy where the social costs which
businesses carry... enable them to function as social institutions without undermining the cohesion
of the larger societies in which they operate. In turn, these costs are compensated for through the

The Bean Trees By Barbra Kingsolver
Everyone has someone they consider family. Sometimes people bond solely with their blood
relatives, but more often than not we choose who we consider to be our family as we grow older.
This happens most often when people find a spouse, but many also adopt children as their sons and
daughters, peers as their brothers and sisters, and role model figures as aunts and uncles. The Bean
Treesis written by Barbra Kingsolver and is set in the early 1980 s. It tells the story of a young
woman named Taylor, and the life she builds in Tucson Arizona. Far from home, she meets many
great people and finds a place where she belongs. Kingsolver shapes her message of the importance
of families both blood and found through her use of character archetypes... Show more content on

Throughout the story Taylor grows very close to Estevan and Esperanza. Taylor now considers
them family and proves that by risking losing Turtle and persecution. Through Taylor s heroic
action the author is showing that your family is worth serious danger. Signatory to the United
Nations something something on human rights, Mattie was saying, and that we have a legal
obligation to take in people whose lives are in danger. (page 139 The Bean Trees, Kingsolver) In
this quote Mattie is saying that everyone has the obligation to take in and help people who are in
danger. She believes that people who need help should be helped, that the whole world is one big,
interconnected family. Mattie is a mentor figure who helps and guides people. A part of that is
hiding refugees fleeing persecution and treating them like family. Through Mattie s actions the
author shows that everyone can be family and that they are all human beings who should be treated
as such. The characters build the family that is so important to this story. Through their actions of
helping other they further the message of the importance of family both blood and found.
Kingsolver also uses archetypal symbols to develop her message with Jesus is Lord Used Tires
symbolizing a haven and a garden symbolizing growth and support. Jesus is Lord Used Tires is
represented as a haven because it used to hide illegal immigrants, is the first safe space Taylor

Analysis Of The Book Uncompromisingly Hard Line By Tim...
Golitsyn was also highly damaging to Angleton in another way, and one which goes much further
than the Nosenko ordeal in justifying his paranoia. Angleton is noted for, even previous to
meeting Golitsyn, holding the belief that the Soviet Union had a master plan to deceive the entire
West, having a fundamental misunderstanding as to the Soviet s limits and believing them far
more capable of espionage than they were, not helped by the previously stated defections of
Fuchs and, in particular the personal betrayal of Philby. While this was always a part of his
underlying paranoia, it was kicked into full gear by his affiliation with Golitsyn. Golitsyn,
according to Tim Weiner, was certified by CIA psychiatrists as clinically paranoid...

Cline stated how Angleton began like this (healthily paranoid) but then overdid it... In the end, he
was so obsessive that he became less effective, and ultimately did damage to the agency. It seems
then there may have been two levels of Angleton s paranoia, with the first justifiable, but the
second, after his connection with Golitsyn, more difficult to justify. Even so, Angleton s world
view, and view of the Soviet Union, goes some way to undermining the justification for his
paranoia, but the fact that he was misled by what he thought was a factual account of life within
the Soviet Union could be seen as evidence that he was justified somewhat in his increasing
paranoia, despite the catastrophic manifestations of that paranoia in the case of Nosenko. One of
the biggest justifications for Angleton s paranoia, even arguably in his later years when Golitsyn
and Nosenko sealed the end of his CIA career, comes from events that took place after his
resignation and the airing of the Family Jewels before Congress, one of Angleton s most high
profile public appearances. In February 1994, a CIA agent by the name of

System Software ( Os )
System software (systems software) is computer software designed to operate and control the
computer hardware and to provide a platform for running application software. System software can
be separated into two different categories, operating systems and utility software. The operating
system (OS) is the best known example of system software. The OS manages all the other programs
in a computer.
An operating system (sometimes abbreviated as OS ) is the program that, after being initially
loaded into the computer by a boot program, manages all the other programs in a computer. The
other programs are called applications or application programs. The application programs make use
of the operating system by making requests for services through a defined application program
interface (API). In addition, users can interact directly with the operating system through a user
interface such as a command language or a graphical user interface (GUI).
The operating system s most important job is managing the CPU: If there are multiple programs
that must execute, then it is a disaster if one program uses the processor and loops . The OS must
ensure that all programs have fair use of the processor s time so that all programs make progress at
execution.
The CPU executes each process a bit at a time. The CPU s clock times the execution of a process,
and when a time limit is reached, then the clock signals the CPU that it is time to switch to another
process. The CPU executes just one

Was Cyrus Successful
Cyrus was Astyages grandson and also the king of Persia. Harpagus was sent to kill him, but did
not do so. Throughout his life he accomplished many things and fought in a number of battles.
He was a well respected leader and treated everyone equally to gain his power. He expanded his
power by traveling farther East, beyond the lands he was comfortable with, and fighting the
more violent tribes. Cyrus treatment of his people and the helping of others were what caused
him to gain his power. He didn t think of himself as a conqueror, but as a liberator of people. He
agreed to treating people of all religions and backgrounds equally, so long as they didn t rebel.
Whenever he conquered a new nation, he allowed the people there to keep their religion and
customs. His way of ruling was very different compared to the Assyrians and other previous
rulers. An example of Cyrus actions as a liberator include the exile of the Jewish people in
Babylon. The Jews welcomed Cyrus and his people as liberators and helped them in overthrowing
the Babylonians. Several years later, Cyrus permitted about 40,000 Jewish exiles to return to their
homes. This marked the end of the Babylonian Captivity. After they had all returned to their
homeland, Cyrus used the money he had gotten in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Adr 6-22 Values
Why do you wake up in the morning? Who are you deep down as a person or Soldier? What are
your values? These are soul searching questions that the Army needs and wants to know. Getting to
know the individuals that the Army is comprised of will give you a better understanding on how to
lead them. This is where ADRP 6 22 attributes and competencies come into play. The Army
profession certifies competence, character and commitment and each one is emphasized differently.
Character is defined as a person s moral and ethical qualities, basically who you are as a person.
Your character impacts every decision you make or don t make. It will drive the train on every
aspect of your personal and military career. The Army emphasizes that it wants leaders of
character based on regulation and the Army Values. The key to the Army s leadership model is
that it will fit into almost every Soldiers own set of values. As an organization the Army s core
values must resonate with every Soldier in order to operate. When you integrate values it is no
longer someone else s view but rather a unified set of core values that everyone believes in. When
you are a leader of character with unified values you start to build trust with your Soldiers.
Through your actions, and your words credibility starts to form. Once credible, your Soldiers ...

its constitution. Without commitment it would be impossible to accomplish action that the U.S

The Pros And Cons Of Planned Parenthood
V) Planned Parenthood
To reiterate how important symbol creation and media framing are to modern scandals, look no
further than the allegations brought on family planning organization Planned Parenthood in 2015.
In many ways, the scandals themselves were nearly identical in composition. David Daleiden, a
journalist and founder of the pro life group the Center for Medical Progress, accumulated
undercover footage at eleven Planned Parenthood offices claiming to be a representative for a fetal
tissue procurement business. In the footage, abortion clinic doctors and executives [admit] that their
fetal tissue procurement agreements are profitable for clinics and help keep their bottom line
healthy. A report from the Center for Medical Progress goes into detail about Planned Parenthood
works with StemExpress, LLC, and several other companies which supposedly profit off of fetal
tissue.
In fact, though the Center for Medical Progress does not seem to be affiliated with any larger
organization like biggovernment.com was with Breitbart, there is a relatively noticeable attention
to academic detail in his approach to investigative journalism. The report previously mentioned has
full citations (most of them are either references to small, conservative news sites or citations from
their own website) and there is a portion of centerformedicalprogress.org entirely dedicated to
archived documents taken from Planned Parenthood chapters, including fetus tissue invoices and

Michael Grant s Lies Essay
Have you ever thought that things could never get worse? That this is going to be the worse part

of Perdido Beach was on fire and Sam was fighting them by using his powers against the H.C

author of the book) shows the perspectives of kids my age and their reaction to certain situations.
An example is when Sam Temple meets once again his adversary. Hey there Sammy. Long time,

Cardiac Surgery With Cardiopulmonary Bypass Essay
Introduction
Cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) is one of the most widely recognized
major surgical procedures worldwide. Renal failure is a noteworthy cause of morbidity and
mortality after cardiac surgery.1,2 Acute kidney injury (AKI) occurs in about 20 40% of
patients3 and is associated with a mortality rate of 8% compared with 0.9% in patients without
AKI. AKI requiring hemodialysis in the postoperative period is uncommon (~ 1% to 5%), yet
associated with a remarkably high mortality rate of 30% to 60%.4 (11 13). AKI increases the risk
for ensuing chronic kidney disease and kidney failure, with its associated morbidity and mortality.5
Clinical prediction tools have been developed to estimate the possibility of cardiac surgery
associated AKI (CSA AKI).8 10 These have recognized female gender, impaired left ventricular
function, insulin requiring diabetes, emergency surgery, and abnormal baseline renal function as
independent predictors of requirement for dialysis.23 Pathophysiological mechanisms of CSA AKI
include decreased renal perfusion, lack of pulsatile flow, oxidative stress, hypothermia,
atheroembolism, and inflammation 23. The main mechanism of injury is thought to be
intraoperative ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI).20 Prolonged duration of cardiopulmonary bypass
(CPB) and its inflammatory response, and prolonged aortic cross clamping are the leading factors
associated with an increased likelihood of cardiac ischemia reperfusion injury.22 Although

The New City Of London London is one of the oldest and most beautiful cultural cities in the world in which to live, of course, is very prestigious, and due to the favorable situation in the country and the city, both political and economic, real estate is constantly going up. Far not everyone can afford to purchase it, so buying a property in London the choice of business and rich people. London a city that is constantly expanding, built up, growing up. For London is typical build up industrial districts and the old docks, destroying old buildings changing territory into attractive areas. New buildings in these areas have a tremendous success. And all thanks to the amazing view that opens from their windows on the main river of the capital the Thames. The same thing happened with Greenwich Peninsula. Greenwich Peninsula area of 300 acres (121.4 hectares) is located in the southeast London, on the south bank of the Thames. Once on the peninsula was a big factory on manufacture of gas. In 1996 it abandoned and heavily contaminated site was chosen as the site for the experience of regeneration of the former industrial area. First was built entertainment complex Millennium Dome (now The O2), then a multi purpose indoor stadium O2 Arena. Greenwich Peninsula reconstruction planned to be completed within 20 years, but with the onset of the crisis the project has stalled. • 3. A Brief Note On The First Industrial Robot Robots are interesting because they exist as a real technology that you can really study you can get a degree in robotics and they also have all this pop culture real estate that they take up in people s minds. (Daniel H. Wilson). The first industrial robot was created in 1956 by an inventor named George Charles Devol. An industrial robot consist of rigid links that are connected by mechanical joints. Many types of industrial robots are capable of doing different things from one another like the Cartesian, which is limited to do x and y movements. The Polar, which has an arm connected to the base with a twisting joint, is used for spot welding, handling machines, etc. The Cylindrical, which has one rotary joint at the base and two... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... John Tammy states Robots will ultimately be the biggest job creators simply because aggressive automation will free us up to do new work by virtue of it erasing toil that was once essential ( Why Robots Will Be The Biggest Job Creators In World History par.3). According to John Tammy robots will be the biggest reason why many people will have jobs. Robots will create a lot of jobs for employees that will free them from doing hard labor. When labor is hard and it can cause employees to be exhausted which results from them to slow down production which is bad for the company. Without robots, employees are stuck with doing hard and even time consuming labor which can slow down production. Industrial robots can help a lot of companies make labor less harsh. In the future, Robotic Technology will have an impact on industries by creating new jobs. Bill Lydon states Automation has allowed us to compete on a global basis and it has created jobs in Southwest Michigan. If it had not been for automation we would not have beaten our Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican competitors ( IFR Press Release 1). This quote shows that robots not only help companies create more employment, they can also help companies beat competitors. Which are very beneficial to them because it can help companies build a good reputation because of the quality and popularity of their products. Robotic Technology can ... • 5. Political Cartoons Dynamic progress of Women s Rights in... One of the best ways to judge the different political arguments in Canada from the early 20th century is by reviewing the different political cartoons that were released. These were an effective way of educating the masses because it did not require an advanced education or vocabulary to understand where each side was debating. One of the more popular conflicts that were ongoing in the first years of the 1900 s was the fight for women s equality. This included the right to vote and the right to participate in government. By comparing political cartoons from before, during, and after the First World War the changing context of Canadian society also affected the public opinion and the power balance towards the evolution of Women s equality.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second cartoon from 1910 depicts an anti suffragette prediction of what Parliament would look like if women were allowed to participate. This drawing is in reply to a statement made by a British feminist who says The day will come when women will sit in your Canadian Parliament. On one side of this cartoon, the Canadian Parliament is filled with women who are busy trading recipes, worrying if their hat is on straight, petty topics to discuss in parliament. On the other side there is Prime Minister Borden busy flirting while a minister behind him is arguing: the appropriation for doilies and tidies for members desks is, I claim, not inadequate to the dignity and toodleyumptyido of this house. This is a kind of vocabulary that is not at the same high standard that is associated with politicians, therefore bringing down the quality and intentions of the debates in Parliament. In the upper left hand corner there is a man saying, Well I ll be damned, while leaning on a balcony beside a snail, which symbolizes the rate of progress that parliament would assume if women were allowed to participate. This is a demonstration of the importance of the male dominance in government, and an argument against the suffragette movement. The final pre War cartoon is another anti suffragette opinion in response to the 1912 arrests of protesting women. It is titled My Wifey Is In Jail and depicts the husband of an incarcerated suffragette ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Informal Fallacies Of An Informal Fallacy Our lives revolve around money. The value of a dollar does not buy much anymore; everything comes with a price tag. The media likes to entice people with catchy slogans, celebrities or any other setup just so they can obtain our money. Once they grasp our attention we realize most of these attention grabbers had no relation to their argumentor what they are trying to sell. Thus the correct term for the types of misleading ads and television commercials is called informal fallacies. The purpose of an informal fallacycan be to enact reactions from the audience, used to discredit a person or lastly appeal to a certain outlook. They mainly lack the validity in order to prove their argument. The media provides us with many scenarios using different forms of informal fallacies. I will provide three notable examples of informal fallacies by explaining the type of fallacy and why the media used this fallacy. To start off, I should first differentiate between a formal and informal fallacy. A formal argument is when the argument lacks the correct structural form. The form of the fallacy will then be able to tell us if the fallacy is valid or invalid. The difference is in the way the argument is written, informal fallacies lack context in order to make the argument. For example, I came across a nationwide commercial that took a different approach in order to sell to the public. Rather than sell to their audience some reasons why they should chose to consult with the company they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Pros And Cons Of Intellectual Property Law The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) defines anti competitive practices as the many ways firms restrict inter firm competition to maintain or to increase their relative market position and profits without necessarily providing goods and services at a lower price or at a higher quality. The American Federal Trade Commission states that anti competitive practices include activities such as price fixing, group boycotts and exclusionary exclusive dealings. These activities are generally grouped as agreements between competitors (horizontal conduct) and monopolization (single firm conduct). In order to explore the extent to which exercise of intellectual property rights may be considered anti competitive, the definition must ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The cause of the tensions has been traced to the objectives of both the laws. In definition, IPR gives the owners an exclusive right to behave in a particular way, when competition law does everything in its power to keep the markets open. So then tension rises at which point does IPR become harmful and competition law should intervene and override IPR? Lionel Bentley and Brad Sherman have, in their book; Intellectual Property Law acknowledged that indeed there is tension between competition law and intellectual property law. While discussing the effect of competition law on the exploitation of copyright , they state that a copyright entitles an owner to use the property in a manner which he or she so wishes and that the copyright owner cannot be compelled to apply their rights in a particular manner. This is the exclusivity of a right. They, however, acknowledge that there are circumstances in which competition law may require a property owner to make available the right for use by the public. They state that operators in dominant positions have a special responsibility not to allow their conduct to impair ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Peace and Granduer in The Romantic Temper Seeing past the flawed, faith in possibilities and insistence on equal opportunities for all defined the Romantic s outlook and attitude. With sights firmly set on the wonders of another dimension, The Romantic Temper is filled with thoughts of peace and grandeur. The ability to imagine and fantasize is what allowed for the Romantic man to flourish, even the most turbulent times. In the mid century the Romantic artists in America experienced their nation s capital burned to the ground, the panic and depression, but instead of giving way to the pressure, they created some of the greatest literary pieces ever produced in the America s history. Their passionate conceptions boldly challenged, enlightened and inspired Americans and Europeans alike. Romantics broke down barriers and created new social norms increasing national pride and getting people to stand up for what was right. Look beyond what is understood as perfect. The Romantic saw beauty in the unique, what stood out or caught the eye. Taking Poe s quote from Bacon , there is no excellent beauty, , without some strangeness in the proportion, they saw beauty and then pondered on why it was so, the findings showed that the exquisite in its differences, draws more attention towards it. In Poe s Ligeia, Ligeia is just like any other attractive looking woman, except for her distinctive eyes , [her] shining, [her] divine orbs ! • 9. Pros And Cons Of Lowering The Drinking Age Your daughter is driving home one Friday evening, after a late shift working at the local hospital. It s dark out, and suddenly headlights are coming towards her. Before she has time to avoid the oncoming car, she gets hit head on. The cops appear at the scene she is pronounced dead the other driver, an eighteen year old, is transported to the hospital in handcuffs: arrested for drunk driving, and illegal consumption of alcohol. Now you are left without a daughter. Forever devastated by the loss, your families lives have been changed forever. Accidents like these occur and leave families in shambles, and the number of these accidents would be much higher if the legal drinking agewas lowered to eighteen years old. By keeping the drinking age at twenty one years old we would efficiently reduce the number of these tragic accidents. The minimum legal drinking age (MLDA) is a controversial issue over whether or not it should be lowered to the age of eighteen. It is shown that keeping the MLDA of twenty one would benefit society in multiple ways. A MLDA of twenty one was historically shown to be better than an age of eighteen, by showing it saved lives. A drinking age of twenty one also proves to be more beneficial for the adolescent brain, would change college drinking, and would reduce the number of drunk driving accidents. While many students think lowering the minimum legal drinking age (MLDA) to eighteen would be a good idea, it would actually destroy lives, brain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Loretta Lynn The Pill Analysis Oral birth control in the United States has a long history of controversy. For many years after it was legalized for married couples it was still considered taboo to talk about. So of course, Loretta Lynn, appropriately named Queen of Country, wrote and performed a song about it. This spunky, out spoken, record setting country goddess saw absolutely no qualm when it came to discussing, the pill . Although this ground breaking song on the birth controlforefront might seem revolutionary, it was nothing new for an artist like Lynn, who characteristically wrote songs about the hushed aspects of domestic life. Loretta Lynns song, The Pill , pushed social boundaries in the 1970 s by encouraging married women, especially in rural areas, to take control of their lives with the use of oral birth control. Lynn did so by informing rural women of the normalcy of oral birth control. Loretta Lynn was born Loretta Webb on April 14, 1932, in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky. Lynn grew up in a small poor Appalachian coal mining community and was the second of eight children. Loretta s career began when she started singing in church as a child. When she was 16, she married Oliver Lynn. The couple soon moved to Custer, Washington. During their first four years in Washington Lynn has four children, Betty Sue, Jack Benny, Ernest Ray and Clara Marie. Lynn was still passionate about music and began to play at local venues. By 1960, she had released her first single, I m a Honky Tonk Girl. She moved to Nashville, where she continued to perform and promote her music. Moving to Nashville was arguably one of Lynn s best decisions. That is where she met one of her best friends and role models, Patsy Cline, as well as find fame and recognition there. During her career Lynn has garnered an impressive release of more than 160 songs, 60 albums, a total sale of 45 million records, ten Number 1 albums and sixteen Number 1 singles on the country charts, and was the first women to win the the CMA s Entertainer of The Year. Loretta Lynn s most popular song, The Pill , was written about a married woman taking birth control. Today, this a common occurrence for American women. However, in 1975, there was a lot of controversy still surrounding the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Energy Radiation And Its Effect On The Cells In the past, the applications of light, more specifically laser, in health and clinical applications have been focused on its destructive phototoxic effects. This effect is associated with high energy radiation, whereas low energy radiation has been found to induce a stimulating effect on the cells. The heat inducing lasertissue ablation effect used in surgery and the disinfectant antimicrobial effect of lighttherapy are distinctly different from the beneficial healing response stimulated by photobiomodulation (PBM). The nonionizing and low power lasers used in PBM are in wavelengths of visible (660 nm), near infrared(810 and 940 nm), and in some rare cases, mid infrared (1040, 2940, 9400 or 10400 nm)1. Most of the molecular level studies have been based on inclusion exclusion of certain genetic dispositions, growth factors and receptors9,10. It inspires the respondent to dig deeply and think about the question with a new mind and new freedom which is obtained by discarding the previously held beliefs. The Socratic Method is valued because it allows people to live their lives in virtue. Living a virtuous life means to be honest, respectful, courageous, forgiving, and kind. One who lives a virtuous life is able to live a happy life. While reading The Euthyphro by Plato, I came across the use the Socratic Method. Socrates than gives Euthyphro a chance to give a more honest, so he is able to live in Virtue. The second definition is a step up from the first, giving an actual definition, not just an example. • 15. Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House Essay What comes to mind when the word morals is said? Whose morals should be followed, individual or group? In A Doll House, Ibsen portrays the protagonist, Nora, to follow the morals of her husband, Torvald. Four key aspects that help Nora decide to change her mind and make a decision to leave Torvald. These include the constant change of nicknames, the questioning of her own independence, the questioning of Torvald s love, and the realization that Torvald loves his reputation more then herself. As a result, Nora sets out to find her own individuality and moral beliefs. When it comes to the use of nicknames, the tone of voice is an indication of how a person feels about another. Nora, taking offense, replies, You re just like the others. You all think I m incapable of anything serious (1193). This is the second piece of evidence because Mrs. Linde helps Nora to begin realizing that she has not been as independent as she thought. Nora starts to apprehend that she has been sheltered her whole life and does not know what it means to be independent or to have her own set of morals. She begins to question what she believes in and what others have her believing in. As Mrs. Linde and Nora continue with their conversation, Nora begins to question whether Torvald does love her. Nora begins to tell her story of how she was the one to raise the money for the trip to Italy and not Torvald. She reveals how she went to Krogstad and asked for a loan to help pay for the trip. When Mrs. Linde asked if Torvald knew any of this information Nora replied, He s so strict on that subject ... with all his masculine pride how painfully humiliating for him if he ever found out he was in debt to me (1194). They are defined as petite, bowl shaped containers used for drinking. Cups come in many shapes, colors and are made out of several types of materials such as glass, plastic, wood, clay, metal, stone, and china among others. These objects also hold other uses unrelated to drinking. Due to the cup s pitted structure, it can also be used for holding smaller objects that would otherwise become easily misplaced. They also can possess cultural, religious, artistic, educational, as well as architectural significance. It is common knowledge that cups have been used since the beginning of time. The earliest recorded cups were made of shells and stones. Special cups were fashioned for kings and queens especially in Aztec culture. They were seen as the only ones worthy of drinking out of these carefully created and fashioned instruments. • 18. School Uniform Policy And School Uniforms When my son started school in 2007, he was not required to wear any type of uniform for almost two academic years. As soon as he started first grade, he noticed a big change; a new dress code which makes him wear the same color of outfit as his classmates, a uniform. Many schools in the world use uniform in schools. Brunsma a sociologist at the Virginia university stated in his book that: The idea of requiring public school students to wear uniformswas first envisioned in the 1980s by then Washington, D.C., mayor Marion Barry, who believed standardized dress might help public school students succeed as well as those in the city s Catholic schools. The idea flopped, but in 1987, Cherry Hill Elementary School in Baltimore implemented the first known schoolwide uniform policy as a means of reducing clothing costs and social pressures on children, (David Brunsma 2004). School uniform put together children of all social class and help them feel more comfortable, School uniforms enhance equality amount student and reduce complexity in schools. The strategy of uniform in schools picked up force in the 1980s after it was noticed that catholic schools, which wore regalia performed better as far as execution and control. • 20. Bottle Rocket Research Paper There are many principles that went into the succession of the bottle rocket launch. Some could include the amount of fuel exerted on the bottle rocket, and the angle of the rocket when launched. A large problem that occurred during launch was that only 4 tests were able to be performed. These were all contributing factors to the success of the bottle rocket. To start off, the main factors of physics that could explain how and why the bottle rocket did what it did could be pressure, velocity, mass flow rate, momentum, and inertia. The rocket was under extreme amounts of pressure when launched, because the pressure was a high number. The velocity of the rocket was 56.47. This means that the rocket was going around 56 meters per second. The momentum of the rocket was 13.95 Newtons. The definition of momentum is the quantity of motion of a moving body,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can be explained by Newton s 1st law of motion, which is the law of inertia. Newton s 1st law states that any object at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line will remain at rest unless compelled by an outside or internal force. In the case of the rocket, an external force that compelled it to move was the pressure from the rocket launcher. When in motion, another force that compelled the rocket was gravity. Gravity caused the rocket to slowly and gradually fall to the ground. The last force that acted on the rocket was the action of hitting the ground. After the rocket hit the ground, it bounced straight back up. This could be explained by Newton s 3rd law, which states that every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction. The reaction of the rocket hitting the ground had an opposite reaction of the rocket bouncing back up again. Newton s second law is the rate of change of momentum of a body is directly proportional to the force applied, which explains why adding more fuel made the rocket go ... While people may think the focus is on the employee in the position, this could not be further from the truth. The focus is primarily based on the job itself. The contribution of the employee is covered in performance appraisal (Nigro Kellough, 2014, p. 103). In most organizations where work is being performed, it is structured rather discretely and certain tasks are set into identifiable jobs. The advantages and disadvantages of four different job evaluation methods will also be thoroughly discussed. Job analysis plays a vital role in a lot of human related activities, but every process that has interventions, has limitations. According to Michael Armstrong (2003), job analysis provides first hand job related information, it provides valuable job related data that helps managers (p. 173). As I turned up the collar on my favorite winter coat this wind is blowing my mind. • 35. A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Bech Essay This memoir about a boy soldier was very condescending. This was a true story for the author, Ishmael Beah and his life changing events that occurred in his past. Ishamel Beah was a twelve year old African boy who lived in Sierra Leone Africa who fled attacking rebels due to a civil war in his country, who wandered into different villages trying to avoid the violence that seemed almost inevitable. He sauntered along with his brother and friends who scraped by day by day scavenging for food and struggled for survival. When Ishmael Beah was back in Sierra Leone, his villages were taken over by a rebellious group and slaughtered his family along with others. He traveled for days with his brother and friend and then was taken and transformed into a boy soldier who was convinced to seek revenge on the death of his own family. This book really shows the transformation in him when he s in New York in the middle of a mob of protestors and must restrain himself from anger. When he s put into this position, he tries not to remember the time when he was a soldier and hold back those feelings in his inner self. What Ishmael Beah wants us to know is that people can change no matter the struggles and it takes fight and courage despite the events that have happened in your past. In the first chapter, Beah starts off with an allusion about a movie called Rambo: First Blood. He was sharing his knowledge on what he knew about war and that this movie was the only thing he knew and what happens in war. In the text he says, The only wars I knew of were those... (p. 5). The author uses this device to show us how much he really knew about war only being 10 years old. The only thing he knew about war was from what he s read and watched about Rambo. He chooses an allusion because it is something that most audience members can refer to and can comprehend the same knowledge that Beah had when he was taken from the Rebels. This is done by locating the sources of behaviors and outcomes of the characteristics and natural tendencies of people. Examples of the variables would be one s perceptions, personality, and preferences. By using these variables, one can analyze the effects those individuals will have on the policies. In the war in Iraq, we can analyze the individual role George W. Bushhad as the President of the United States. Because the President viewed Saddam Hussein as aggressive and dangerous, Bush chose to declare war against them in order to prevent further attacks. George W. Voting is a topic of heated debate in the United States due to difference of opinions between the democrat and republican parties. In the United States the votingage has been reduced from twenty one years old to eighteen years old. Even though the voting age was reduced, some people have been lobbying in order to reduce the voting age to sixteen. Reducing the legal age for voting is a bad idea, because the younger generation lacks the capability of having an informed decision for voting. Although some people believed that the legal voting age should be lower than eighteen, on the other hand others believe it should be returned to twenty one. The legal voting age should be returned to twenty one because the majority of people over twenty one are more educated about politicsthan an eighteen year old. People who are over twenty one are not easily influenced by people s opinions and are more capable of evaluating future outcomes. The legal voting age should be returned to twenty one, because people over twenty one are more educated about politics. Golitsyn was also highly damaging to Angleton in another way, and one which goes much further than the Nosenko ordeal in justifying his paranoia. Angleton is noted for, even previous to meeting Golitsyn, holding the belief that the Soviet Union had a master plan to deceive the entire West, having a fundamental misunderstanding as to the Soviet s limits and believing them far more capable of espionage than they were, not helped by the previously stated defections of Fuchs and, in particular the personal betrayal of Philby. System Software ( Os ) System software (systems software) is computer software designed to operate and control the computer hardware and to provide a platform for running application software. System software can be separated into two different categories, operating systems and utility software. The operating system (OS) is the best known example of system software. The OS manages all the other programs in a computer. An operating system (sometimes abbreviated as OS ) is the program that, after being initially loaded into the computer by a boot program, manages all the other programs in a computer. The other programs are called applications or application programs. The application programs make use of the operating system by making requests for services through a defined application program interface (API). In addition, users can interact directly with the operating system through a user interface such as a command language or a graphical user interface (GUI). The operating system s most important job is managing the CPU: If there are multiple programs that must execute, then it is a disaster if one program uses the processor and loops . The OS must ensure that all programs have fair use of the processor s time so that all programs make progress at execution. The CPU executes each process a bit at a time. Renal failure is a noteworthy cause of morbidity and mortality after cardiac surgery.1,2 Acute kidney injury (AKI) occurs in about 20 40% of patients3 and is associated with a mortality rate of 8% compared with 0.9% in patients without AKI. AKI requiring hemodialysis in the postoperative period is uncommon (~ 1% to 5%), yet associated with a remarkably high mortality rate of 30% to 60%.4 (11 13). AKI increases the risk for ensuing chronic kidney disease and kidney failure, with its associated morbidity and mortality.5 Clinical prediction tools have been developed to estimate the possibility of cardiac surgery associated AKI (CSA AKI).8 10 These have recognized female gender, impaired left ventricular function, insulin requiring diabetes, emergency surgery, and abnormal baseline renal function as independent predictors of requirement for dialysis.23 Pathophysiological mechanisms of CSA AKI include decreased renal perfusion, lack of pulsatile flow, oxidative stress, hypothermia, atheroembolism, and inflammation 23. The main mechanism of injury is thought to be intraoperative ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI).20 Prolonged duration of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and its inflammatory response, and prolonged aortic cross clamping are the leading factors associated with an increased likelihood of cardiac ischemia reperfusion injury.22 Although ...
