WHAT ARE YOU TO DO WHEN LOOKING LIKE YOU DO IS NOT
BEAUTIFUL? Beautiful. Everyone wants to look beautiful, but who determines
what beautiful is? Being ugly is a problem that everyone fears. Getting under the
knife on a surgical table is an answer to the problem. Eating an apple and only an
apple, once a day is the other answer to the problem. The problem of not looking
beautiful is slowly wiping out the naturally beautiful men and women. What are you
to do when looking like you do, is not beautiful? A great amount of people go to this
extent because of what influence them the most parents, boys/girls, lovers, and
friends tell them. Someone who does not have the crease in her eyelids, someone
who hates their fat chin, or someone who... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Declarations like Food is poison and diet Coke is love are the reasons why girls
that are suppose to weigh 130, are weighing 100. At Spring Break, there are wet T
shirt contests, Mardi gras behaviors; Spring Breaks are becoming more sexualized.
Therefore, to get ooo and ahh from boys who are looking to have sexual contacts,
these young and witless girls will lose weight dramatically, even if it cost them
their health. After the teen aged female stated the issue she had with the boy s
album, she states This just makes me want to lose so much weight and then have
those guys see me. I hate boys, I hate my body, (p490). No one should feel like this,
but unfortunately living in this American society, a lot of people do feel this way.
After taking a glimpse of what Finding My Eye Dentity , More and More Young
Women Choose Surgical Perfection , and Before Spring Break the Anorexic

beautiful females and males. Parents, girls/boys, lovers, and friends are very
influential in our lives. However, how much can we let someone else control the way
we look? Beautiful is different and comes in different shape, color, and size. If we
continue to place models and actresses/actors on a pedestal, then nothing will change.
Women and men will continue to perfect their body. Beautiful. Everyone wants to

Course Learning Outcomes For English 110
As I reflect on my work at the end of this semester, I am able to see how much I
have improved as a writer. I have learned my weaknesses through peer reviews, and
the feedbacks that I received from you. This cover letter will address four of the
course learning outcomes for English 110 such as, how to write effectively using a
number of rhetorical strategies and patterns, demonstrate the ability to synthesize
materials drawn from multiple sources using critical reflection and independent
judgment, write a research paperof 2,500 words, and carry out essential steps in the
writingprocess. I enclosed three works that I have submitted for this course which
are, The Journey of a Small Town Girl, The Wright Brothers, and my research paper
titled The Dirty Dozen.
My purpose in writing the literacy narrative was to let different audiences to have
a taste of what the struggle of an immigrant is like. This was the first paper that I
had to write for this class and it was the easiest out of all. I got to express my
struggles in a very unique way. During my peer review session for this paper, I was
able to see my mistakes such as verb tense agreement, word choice and awkward
phrasing. I learned to not use abbreviations throughout this piece because a mixed
audience may not be familiar with them.
I think the best part of my narrative is my introduction and conclusion. My
introduction sets a mysterious tone by stating I always wondered how would my

WEAPONS IN WWII The technological advances made in the World War II were
amazing. We gained a lot of new understandings in technology. The Rocket Team
that made the missiles that terrorized the streets of London helped send a man to

discovered are still helpful to this day. The machine guns that were used in the war
on the American side were: Browning M1919A4/A6 that fired up to 500 rounds in
one minute, and the Browning M2HB (.50 BMG) that had grown a reputation for
itself, because it was used on vehicles and fired varied amounts of ammo. The
Browning M2HB was often referred to as the war horses the weapons because it was
so overpowered. As for the machine guns used
Professional Nursing Practice Essay
Professional nursing practice is a commitment to strong ethical values, compassion,
caring with continuous development of self and others, demonstrating a spirit of
collaboration and flexibility with accountability and responsibility for insightful
practice. Professional practice ensures midwives and nurses uphold excellence in
their care delivery, continuously demonstrating and assessing their practice, it
emphases on nursing and midwifery principles, rule, authority, management,
guideline, and legislation. The vital purpose of professional practice in nursing and
midwifery is to provide care with compassion and kindness that achieves preeminent
clinical results for their patients (Baumann et al. 2001). However, professional
practice in nursing to my understanding means nurses being knowledgeable in their

Competence to practice is dependent upon acquisition and maintenance of specific
nursing knowledge and skills, and can be linked to individual behaviours and abilities.
Continuing Professional development is a career long process of professional growth
of nurses through the development and maintenance of continued competence within
both generalist and specialist areas of practice. CPD can be stimulated by reflection
or experience and other learning which may occur in a variety of ways including, but
not limited to, formal award education programs.
Continuing professional development can be comprised of planned and organised
learning activities beyond pre registration education programs. In order to enhance
the practice of nursing by both the individual and the profession, these activities
should be diverse, promote reflective practice by the nurse, and improve and extend
professional competence.
A Contextualization of Nina Revoyr s Southland
Sunshine and Noir in Historical Los Angeles: A Contextualization of Nina Revoyr s
Southland Nina Revoyr s novel, Southland, provides a glimpse into the injustice,
scandal, and struggle in Los Angeles from the 1940s to the 1990s due to its racial
composition. The novel contains a unique cast of characters who, although often
times interact with conflict, are forced to live side by side one another in their
separate attempts to attain the American Dream. Southland takes its readers on a
journey through a history full of trials and tribulations, with Los Angeles as its stage;
throughout this story, the reader begins to understand that there was much more to

Hers the only face that wasn t black or Latino. Out of place here. A stranger. A
foreigner (Revoyr, 56). This direct quote from the novel illustrates Jackie s thought
process as she immediately singles herself out as someone who simply does not
belong because she is Asian. Then in another scene, when she goes to the Holiday
Bowl for the first time, she is taken back by the ethnic mix of old people that were
there. Revoyr writes, She had seen gatherings of elderly Asian people; she d seen
gatherings of elderly blacks; but never before had she seen the two in one place. It
was such a surprise to her, so visually inconceivable, that it was as if someone had
taken footage of two senior citizens groups and then skillfully spliced them
together (Revoyr, 157). These are examples of modern day noir, because of Jackie
s indirect expression of fear and shock in the presence of other ethnic groups. This
illustrates the idea that not much has changed since the days of the 1965 riots that
even in modern day, there is an underlining racist perception that people still have.
Another important thing to note is that throughout the novel, at the times when
Jackie learns about how severe racial prejudice and violence was in the past, she is
forced to take a step back in order to imagine what living in the past was like. It is
true that the people who grew up during her parents and grandparents time had to
endure such a high degree of fear and struggle; Jackie, on the other
Competition As A Monopolistic Competition
Competition in Smartphone Markets
Introduction
The competition in Smartphone Markets is a monopolistic competition, in which the
products of each firm are differentiated and the entry barrier is free. Products
competing in the network industries have network externalities.
Accordingly, this essay will deal with the following aspects of the question. Initially,
the concept of the monopolistic competition is present. Follow by the idea of the
network effect theory. The multi sided market and the core business strategies is
analyzed and finally, the examination of the future of the smartphone competition is
shown.
What is the monopolistic competition ?
Monopolistic competition refers to a competition where monopoly exists, and is
neither a perfect competition nor an oligopoly. As the market competition become
intense, the distribution of resource becomes rational; therefore, the level of
competition in the monopolistic competition is more intense than it is in the
oligopoly and perfect competition (Roberts et al, 1977). Another reason caused this is
that the products in the monopolistic competition can be easily replaced. Nowadays,
smartphones of different brands are similar on their appearance, details and even
functions. The conditions for a monopolistic competition to exist are as follows.
Initially, the products in the competition have to be differentiated. The differences
can be in the quality of the products, the appearance, the label or the sales conditions.

Anne of Green Gables Research Essay
Anne of Green Gables Research Essay
Anne of Green Gables is an enchanting tale of a young orphan named Anne Shirley.
Anne, who happens to be an eleven year old orphan at the beginning of the story,
eventually gets adopted mistakenly by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. Matthew and
Marilla were simply looking for a young male orphan who would be able to assist
them with physical work around the house because Matthew was getting older, and
would need an extra hand. Despite having a little girl, who was useless to them
physically, they quickly fell in love with this young girl s goodness and great
qualities. It has recently been discovered that Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of
Anne of Green gables, was suffering of depression and loneliness ... Show more

In the novel we can see that Anne is not so fond of religion. When she gets asked
to pray, she simply does it to satisfy Marilla considering how she believes god gave
her red hair on purpose. This is another similarity found between Anne and L.M.
Montgomery. At some point in Montgomery s journals, she explains how she is
against orthodox religion (DuVernet, Sylvia, p.7). There are so many things that we
can relate from the author to Anne s character, it may be coincidental, but
considering how Montgomery used writing as a therapeutic relief, it is quite evident
that some of her traits and beliefs such as the aspect of depression and
Hurtubise 4
loneliness were meant to be poured into the book (Rubio, Writing a life: L.M.
Montgomery).
Anne s imagination was certainly one of her greatest attributes. Although her
imagination sometimes led her to trouble, it is in fact what made her so special and
successful throughout the novel. A few times in the story, she would catch herself
daydreaming and meanwhile accidentally being the cause of problems. A good
example of this was when she was baking the cake; she ruined it due to being in her
own little world. Another case which is actually worst then the previously stated
incident, is when Anne s imagination nearly causes her to drown while reenacting a
poem. Women were expected to

As the year 1000A.D. was approaching the strength of Christianity in
Western Europe was growing along with its population. The newly reformed and
organized Church began to gain great power. A new Europe was being born with the
Catholic Church as a force in every area of life.
In Christian beliefs, the savior, Jesus Christ was to return to earth and bring
judgment on its people. Many clergy members along with lay people believed this
would take place in the year 1000A.D. . Knowing this, the people of Europe
awaited the return of Christ and feared the Wrath of God. Religious people wanted
to make up for their sins and avoid the horrors of eternal

The large crowd listening to the Pope s speech was saddened and outraged. The
Pope called on Christian knights to set out to the Holy Land and free it from the
claws of the pagan Seljuk Turks. He promised any knight who set out to the Holy
Land quot; the remission of sins and be sure of the incorruptible glory of the
kingdom of heaven quot; (Spielvogel,p345).
The crowd immediately supported it by crying out quot; It is the will of
God quot;(Spielvogel,p345). This can be seen as the starting point of the period of
the Crusades.
A Crusade immediately followed known as the Peasant s Crusade. This
Crusade was not organized by the papacy. They were mostly poor or peasants and
were inadequately prepared. On their way to the East they terrorized the
Balkans by looting and persecuting the Jews. Eventually, they reached
Constantinople and were sent by the Emperor Alexius I to Asia Minor where they
were slaughtered by the Seljuk Turks.
A papal supported Crusade was soon to follow. The soldiers for the first true
Crusade were recruited from the warrior class of knights. By 1096, quot; an
international military force, with a large nucleus of knights from central and southern
France, Normandy, and Norman Sicily, made its way across the
Balkans and assembled in Constantinople quot; (Hollister,p.189). The warriors of the
First Crusade numbered around 25,000 or
A University Degree is a Good Investment Essay
As a recent high school graduate, I spent the last year of high school deciding what
I want to do with my life. It was time to seriously answer the question what do you
want to be when you grow up? As a child this question seems so broad and open.
There are a million things to choose from. One day I could ve been a teacher, and
the next day a veterinarian. But one thing you don t hear most kids say they dream
about being is a college graduate. However, when the time comes to plan your life,
suddenly the options diminish and you re really left with only two; college, or a
job. For a long period of time, the majority of high schoolgraduates have chosen

Since then thousands of universities have opened and offer many different fields to
pursue. From law schools to technical institutes to community colleges, there are a
variety of higher education options. Since the mass development of universities, it
has become more traditional for people of all social statuses to attend college.
Also, since 1636 the number of people going to college has also increased as a
higher education has become more attainable for the average person. However, in
recent times the trend of an increasing enrollment has faded away. This decrease in
college registration influences the question of why students have begun to stray away
from college in the last few years.
Mathew Bidwell, a professor at the Wharton University of Pennsylvania has found
that About 300,000 fewer students enrolled in college this fall [2013], compared to
2012 (Bidwell 2). This decline in enrollment is something to worry about because
the future of the United States falls heavy on the shoulders of education. In 2012
Barrack Obama set a goal for the United States: by the year 2020 America will once
again have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world. ( Ensuring 1.)
With the aim of achieving this goal, it is important to stop this decline in college
enrollment. In order to understand the decline in college enrollment, it is important to
understand the factors that are repelling future
Importance Of African Slave Trade
The Importations of Africans into The New World:
The Atlantic Slave Trade Its Ships Slavery, a topic that still leaves a mark on the
hearts of many citizens throughout America, a matter that leaves a repugnant
aftertaste in our mouths. Slaves were transported from their native land, into a new
world forced to do manual work that Europeans were resistant in doing and reluctant
to having the natives do. Slavery lasted over 200 years; yet for some odd reason
African Americans and advocates of memorializing the consistent pain, agony,
torture, and mistreatment of Africans are constantly told to just Let it go , Forget
about it, it happened so long ago . Those who still feel the piercing wounds of those
who suffered from enslavement are expected to forget about an issue that has not
even ceased longer than it lasted. A common desire that existed among all African
Americans was to be free, to be released and sent back to their families from whom
they were snatched. Africans were stolen from their homelands, stripped from a
comfortable environment into an unfamiliar place, and forced to live under cruel
conditions, known as the Atlantic Slave Trade. In this paper, several factors will be
discussed including: (1) background information on the African slave trade/ middle
passage(2) the slaves living conditions (3) the slaves treatment (4) and the lasting
impact in the lives of the slaves after the getting off the ships. Between the time
periods of the 1500 s and Mid 1860 s
Teen Depression And Suicide
Teen Depression and Suicide
Mother Teresa once said, Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most
terrible poverty. Studies have shown that approximately 20% of teens experience
depression before they reach adulthood. According to the American Psychiatric
Association, depression is a common and serious mental illness that negatively affects
how you feel and act. While it is treatable through therapy or medication, only 1 in 3
teens who suffer from depression receive the treatment they need after their
diagnosis. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young adults ages 15 to
24 in fact, studies have shown that someone takes their own life every 100 minutes.
Young adults with enormous potential are taking their own lives at alarming rates,
and these numbers may very well continue to increase unless we band together as a
society to take action. In order to help teens with depression eliminate the risk of
suicide, doctors must administer depression screenings, teachers must be trained on
how to deal with and respond to mental illnesses, and parents must be educated on
the signs and treatment of depression. One way to help teens with undiagnosed
depression get help is to add screenings for depression to routine doctor checkups
for patients ages 12 to 18. Depression screenings may be presented as a short
questionnaire or a simple conversation with your doctor in which you are asked
about your feelings and behaviors. The process usually takes only five

Man s Duty In The Epic Of Beowulf
In the days of the vikings, many stories were told. They were told in a song like
fashion, and were recited to young warriors and children. The most famous of these
was the epic poem Beowulf . It is a tale of a young hero named Beowulf, who goes
to a distant land to help the weak. He is known for having the strength of ten men,
and chooses to fight the first monster he encounters, Grendel, with his bare hands.
After Grendel was defeated, the mother of Grendel attacks, but he has to go into her

Everyone enjoys the feeling of being looked up to and being well respected, and
the Anglo Saxon warriors are much the same. This is shown by how confident
Beowulf acts upon his warm greeting when he returned to fight Grendel s mother.
He also wanted to die glorious, as to why he went and fought the dragon himself,
rather than letting his army take care of it. This new found glory is partnered by
becoming a role model, which is what he always wanted. Being a role model in an
Anglo Saxon community, is the ultimate goal of any warrior. Beowulf, being the
top warrior of his land, is of no excuse. In fact, this whole poem was recited since
those times to guide people to becoming a great adult within this culture. For
instance, in his first encounter with evil, he acts confident for the people watching to
be a role model. In his second encounter, he shows to prepare for battle as the young
people watch. Lastly, in his final moments, he states that he wants a lighthouse built
in his honor, so he can always be followed, and continue being a
Themes In The Inheritance Of Loss
Human Deprivation
The title of the novel The Inheritance of Loss is very suitable as tells failures,
disappoinments of the real characters once lived in the post colonial India. The
themes of loss, for in our world if mankind has nothing else to take over, it can
accept loss as its heritage, however, the matter is not as simple or straight as it looks,
the reason is that this novel is a highly intricate work which confronts several themes
extending from loss to poverty, gain, to wealth, justice to injustice.
The Inheritance of Loss is a political and historical novel, but the truth is that in spite
of its political and historical extents, it is a socio cultural work of fiction. Desai

Argistan 447 would crash, but somehow it did. It started out as a normal day. Little

but today the President had called 12 of us in to meet him. We boarded the plane,
and I got seated next to the media director. Her job was to censor all of the media
that gets broadcasted throughout America. Liftoff was like the definition of
perfect, but about halfway through we turned off course. The plane started to
shake and it started to roll. It fell to the ground and I blacked out. When I woke up
some of the survivors were huddled in a lump. The media director was lying in a
pool of crimson blood along with Senator Recken. I tried to get up, but I couldn t,
my legs wouldn t move. The health administrator got up a looked at my leg. A
piece of the plane had flown into my leg. He removed the metal and bandaged my

crash and ran. On the way, we ended up losing the disease control officer. We ended
up at a river and stopped to take a quick break. The wolves had left us alone and we
were safe. For now. When sunrise came we all introduced ourselves. My name Is

I am a scientist. Seven more people introduced themselves. It was my turn I am

History of Laurent Clerc
There are a lot of firsts that Laurent Clerc accomplished. He was the first deaf
teacher in America, the first deaf person to appear before U.S. Congress in
Washington, D.C. to talk about establishing public schools for the deaf, and the first
deaf person to get an honorary M.A. degree from Trinity College.
Clerc was born to a prominent family in the village of LaBalme, France. His father
was a notary by profession and a mayor of the village for 34 years. His mother was
the daughter of another notary. Males in Clercs family held the office of Tubelion
(a Royal Commissary) in that village for over 300 years. Clercs family believes that
he became deaf after falling from his highchair into the kitchen fire, but he might
have been born deaf. His right cheek was burned from the accident hence the name
sign of brushing two fingers across cheek.
Clerc lived through the French Revolution, witnessing Napoleons rise and fall. In
fact, he lived in England for a while to escape from the turmoil.
Clerc had once been considered to help start a school for the deaf in Russia but was
passed over because he was deaf. He agreed to coe to America for only three years for
three reasons: 1) to help organize a new school for the deaf; 2) to be the first
experienced teacher; and 3) to teach others how to teach deaf. However, he married
one of his beautiful, dark eyed, dark haired, slender,

Characteristics Of Caring For Patients
Characteristics of Caring
The first characteristic of caring deals with a healing interaction between the nurse
and patient that leads to a therapeutic outcome. The outcome is therapeutic when a
patient remains autonomous. Often times, this is hindered because a person seeks
out healthcare when they can no longer manage their symptoms on their own
(Lindberg, Fagerstrom, Sivberg, Willman, 2014). In order for this healing interaction
to take place, a nurse must recognize that the patient has rights to their own views,
values, and beliefs. The nurse must remain open to the patient s needs in order to
accommodate them effectively. Caring for patients by healing interactions can also
be considered complete according to Ranheim, Karner, ... Show more content on

Examples of this include giving a patient an injection of heparin after breaking a hip
or asking a co worker to put a gown on in an isolation room. It is crucial that a nurse
be competent and caring enough to explain the purpose of what we do in a respectful
manner.
Antecedents and Consequences
Antecedents
According to Brilowski Wendler (2005), the main antecedent of caring was the
amount of time a nurse has to care. High patient to staff ratios make it hard to a
nurse to care for a patient in a way that provides holistic healing. Consequently,
dissatisfaction occurs for the patient and they may perceive this lack of attention as a
lack of caring from the nurse.
Consequences
Consequences to caring are generally positive. The main consequence is increased
health and healing for the patient (Brilowski Wendler, 2005). Another positive
consequence is a feeling of power and autonomy for patients. Finally, the patient s
perception of the nurse is positively influenced as they are now viewed as
compassionate, competent, and respectful (Brilowski Wendler, 2005).
Cases

A Debate Regarding School Boards
On April 26th, 2011, the Thomas Fordham Institute hosted a debate regarding
school boards in the 21st century. Four panelists discussed the validity and
importance of school boards. While the panelists disagreed on several points, all
parties felt that school boards are still important in today s society. Although school
boards are still vital at a certain level, serious concerns were also presented during
the panel discussion regarding the traditional practices of governance and localized
centers of control within school boards today. Anne Bryant provides research based
studies, examples, and justification in favor of school boards. She outlined that
effective school boards must have a shared vision, set tightly focused goals, utilize
data, focus on policy, and focus and collaborate with all stakeholders. According to
Bryant, school boards must connect to the community and the local taxpayers while
boosting community engagement. While we agree that school boards must be
concerned about student achievement, I appreciate that she also expressed the idea
that most school boards do not believe in silver bullets and are caution in nature. I
hesitate to support school boards because I feel they often tend to micromanage and
feel the power to make sweeping policies even though they lack the significant
scientific background of education. Her recognition that school boards often want
reform, but know there are not quick fixes helped to reassure me of their intentions.
Put Down Other People
4. Don t Put Down Other People Trying to make other people look bad is just a
way to make yourself feel better and it doesn t work. Stop gossiping about other
people. Stop talking badly about other people when they are not around. Stop
blaming other people for your problems behind their back. Stop posting negative
comments to people as you hide behind an avatar. If you have something important
to say, say it to their face. And if you have something to say that is coming from a
place of instability or anger, then don t say it unless it is going to solve something.
You will find as you live with this kind of integrity, your self esteem will naturally
rise. Putting other people down just makes you feel bad about yourself, whether you

Practice doing things without demanding recognition. Your ego will scream out at
you to let people know that it was YOU who donated or did something great, but if
you hold back and let yourself experience doing something good without
recognition, your self esteem will get a boost. You will feel great about yourself,
without the need for anyone else to know, and that is the ultimate pat on the back
from yourself. 9. Accept Failures And Rejection As An Important Part Of Life
Your self esteem can take hit after hit if you don t accept that failures and rejection
are an important part of life. If you view them as negative things, then you are
going to feel bad about yourself and beat yourself up when they happen. But, if
you see them as valuable tools for helping you get the life you want, then you will
accept them and use them to improve your life and become someone better and
stronger. Always remember that failure and rejection happen to teach you
something. They help you see your weaknesses and build your strengths. They
help you realize that you are capable of moving forward despite obstacles and
setbacks in life. They help you make better decisions about your life and the people
in it. They are essential to your life and without them you would never really get to

Color Vision Development in Infants
Color Vision Development in Infants: The Responsibility of Cone Types and
Wavelength in Order of Color Development It is a wonderful thing to witness a
sunset and see all the various colors that occur in our world. What would it be like
if we didn t view the sunset with all the beautiful colors that are perceived in it?
According to Brown, Lindsey, Mcsweeney, and Walters, (1994) without factoring in
brightness, newborn infants cannot differentiate between colors. This was found by
testing infants in forced choice preferential looking experiments or FPL
experiments (Brown et al., 1994). It is astonishing to think that we haven t always
viewed the world in various vibrant colors. So at what point do we as individuals
develop full color... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Infants that were aged 4 weeks and 9 weeks were evaluated in a study that looked at
red/ green color and it was found that the responses to the stimuli for nine week old
infants were greater in response to the stimuli than four week old infants (Teller
Palmer, 1996). Is it possible that the younger infants in the study by Teller and
Palmer (1996) had not yet fully matured their s cone receptors? At what age does
the color green develop in infants? Does the amount of s cones we have contribute
and affect the order in which we develop color? According to a blog by Jones
(2013), a retinal neuroscientist and photographer, tritanopia colorblind people
have s (blue) cones absent and have issues deciphering between blue and green,
infants might not be able to see blue yet (Robin, 2014), so as a replacement for blue,
I am going to use gray as the comparing color. I predict that infants three weeks old
will see the green and gray colors differently, and have an increase in gaze time on the
color green while previously viewing gray or red.
Hypothesis
Infants that are three weeks old will be at the beginning stages of maturing s cones,
which should enable them to begin viewing green and will in turn prefer the color
green (longer gaze time) because it is new in their development of color.
Independent variables of the study will be which color is shown to the infants.
Replication Of Hev Is Still Largely Unknown Because...
Replication of HEV Replication pattern of HEV is still largely unknown because
effective cell culture system for HEV has been developed recently (Tanaka et al.,
2007). It is believed that HEV enters the cell by binding to cellular receptor,
heparin sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs), with its capsid protein and viral entry is
carried out by the binding of C terminal region of ORF2 to the cell surface protein,
heat shock cognate protein 70 (HSC70) (Zhou and Emerson, 2006; Kalia et al.,
2009). Also, p239, a truncated partial homodimer of the HEV capsid protein
(HEV239) potentially binds to the HEV receptor(s) on cells (He et al., 2008) and a
cellular chaperone, glucose regulated protein (Grp78) (Yu et al., 2011). However,
more studies should be conducted to confirm the cellular receptors for HEV. The
mechanism of uncoating of the HEV genome after its entry into the cells is also
unknown. One of the study has suggested that heat shock protein (HSP90) might be
playing role in intracellular transport of HEV since the inhibition of HSP90 blocked
the intracellular transport of the HEV239 capsid protein but did not affect the binding
and entry of the truncated capsid protein (Zheng et al., 2010). After uncoating and
entry of viral genome, the 5′ 7 methylguanosine cap in NCR of the positive

Analysis of the Painting Great Detonators by Acamonchi
Contemporary art is the art created in the present time. Today, artists affected by
the social context and personal experiences reproduce pieces of art that question or
make a point about controversial issues in our society. A great example is the
painting created in 2006 called Great Detonators ( Grandes Detonadores ) by the
Mexican artist Acamonchi. The painting is located in the exhibition The Very large
Array: San Diego/ Tijuana Artist in the Peter C. Farrell Gallery inside the Museum
of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCA). Acamonchi s piece is a collagepainting
integrated by posters, stencils, and graffiti, which illustrate an obvious inspiration
by the street art style. It is composed of cold colors such as blue, green, and aqua.
Its multiple media consist of spray, paper, tape, acrylic, and oil. Moreover, the
gallery is presented in big white walls and it has natural and artificial white light.
The surface texture of the piece is a combination of corrugated, flat and in some parts
smooth. The size is about 8 feet wide and 8 feet long, the condition is excellent, and
the frame is made of wood. Furthermore, the painting the Great Detonators conveys
ideas about mass produced waste, political awareness and urban chaos. Consequently,
the artist Acamonchi uses this piece of art to express his opinion about important
issues today during our contemporary times.
First of all, through the use of scale, Acamonchi communicated ideas regarding mass
produced waste in his piece the

It is the first song on the soundtrack and appropriately sets the mood of the entirety
of the film. Le Festin , the only vocal piece on the soundtrack, sung in French by
the singer Camille, is a turning point in the film. In the narrative, it is the defining
moment in which Remy decides to follow his dream and devotes himself to being
a chef, with much success. Musically, however, it is symbolic of reaching the
height of success. The vocals are slow and melodic, creating the ambiance in
which the story takes place. The lyrics, translated from French to English, tell the

emotional response and joy from achieving those dreams. The hidden beauty of Le

Ratatouille, they tell Remy s story. The significance of being sung in the native
language of the setting is that despite, Giacchino creating a sound to depict
characters, in Paris, cooking Parisian food, he recognized the importance that the
setting serves and pays homage to the setting as a character as well as a
background. The song, Le Festin is sung in French in every variation of the film.
This small act of preserving the language not only keeps the narrative the same, it
also creates a universal experience of the
A Community Service At The Corporation For National
And...
According to the Corporation for National and Community Service, the state of
Nebraska spends 61.3 million hours a year doing community service. It also take 20
hours to learn and know something very well, according to Forbes (Schawbel). With
those two facts in mind, Nebraskan s could have potentially learned 306,500 new
things a year volunteering. When you re introduced to something new, you will gain
a lot experience or knowledge in that new area. Therefore, when we are spending that
much time with our community, we will learn a lot about the people living in our
community and test what we thought we already knew based on stereotypes. While
giving yourself to your community during community service, one may find
themselves further grasping, becoming a part of, and deviating norms throughout
their involvement. I have taken part in a community service for many years that has
taught me many things and given me insight into the community that I live in.
I have a unique background in community service. I am involved in an organization
called Rebuilding Together. Through this organization I am on a team with my family
members and family friends. My grandfather started this team, and after he passed
away, my dad took over. This team has now transformed into a three generation
team, going on for close to 15 years now. With Rebuilding Together we are given a

What Are The Importance Of Freedom Of Speech
Imagine a school free of disruptions. Free of bullying and harassment. That s what
all students and teachers want, right? Report to school every day,get a proper
education. But that s not the case in all schools. Some students are not able to learn
during the school day. They may get distracted by going off topic in class or get
disturbed by what someone is wearing. If their freedom of speech is limited, students
will actually be able to learn. Freedom of speech should have limits because it
increases educationtime, it allows kids to prepare for the future, and it limits bullying
and harassment. Firstly, freedom of speech should have limits because it increases
education time. For example, students can lose up to 38 days a year due to
disruptions in class and about 1 hour per day (Al.com). Teenagers report to schoolto
get an education and learn for the future, they do not show up at school to talk to
everyone the entire day. Due of talking, they lose class time and they do not get
much done. If freedom of speech is limited students will be able to learn more. Also
if another peer is wearing something that is very distracting, this will disrupt the
class. For example, the Tinker v.s Des Moines Independent Community School
District case was about students wearing armbands to support the Vietnam War. The
appearance of the armband distracted their peers from their work. The school was
able to discipline the students wearing the bands . ( Tinker v.

Bartleby The Scrivener Marxist Analysis
Bartleby the Scrivener, a title for a story, and for a man. Bartleby worked in a
monotonous job, doing the same boring thing everyday, and yet he seemed to be
fully devoted to his work. His boss was not a hard man, but it is safe to say that he
benefitted from Bartleby, at least, at first. Because of the devotion that Bartleby
gave to his job and his boss, the business worked. This was not just the job of a
scrivener, but instead a representation of everyone working under the heal of the
rich. Bartleby was a simple man in the beginning, he was the average worker. He
was boring, hard working, followed the flow of society. Bartleby would soon change
everything anyone knew about society before then. With the uttering of five simple

He simply refuses to do additional work, then his work at all. It escalates to where
he will not talk, or even leave the premises. He manages to follow his boss and

rid of Bartleby. When the revolution begins, there is no stopping it. The rich will
not be able to bribe there way out of this problem. It will snowball and grow to be a
bigger and bigger problem for those at the top of the economic latter. The boss will
never be able to forget poor and suffering Bartleby. Never again will the boss be
able to bush off the images of the poor and suffering, and instead he will be
haunted by them. Bartleby may not even be there, maybe he really did leave when
first asked. It does not really matter, all that is important is that the boss can not
forget Bartleby whether he is there or not. Bartleby seems to be the one being
tortured in the story, nobody said the revolution would be easy for the poor.
However, the key is that while Bartleby may be depressed, he had a great effect on
his boss, torturing his mind. This is what the revolution will look like, the rich and
powerful will become crippled by the thought and actions of the poor. They will
quickly realize that they will never be able to get back to the way they were. Things
will change at the hand of the rich from the poor, and it will only take one small spark,
The Problem Of Information Security And Security
It s fair to say the environment of the healthcare industry is always in the midst of
constant turmoil. The industry is a complex equation built on ever changing
government programs, rapid advances in medicine and technology, and new business
combinations between and among health care providers and payers. Leaders of a
healthcare organization must be equipped to adapt to the continuous chaos or face
defeat. Information securityand privacy is a fundamental component of a successful
and efficient healthcare environment. The coming year will be a busy one for
lawyers, compliance officers, privacy officers, and senior management as they must
stay above the game when it comes to privacy and security. I will explore three
trending issues and concerns relating to healthcare privacy and security. My hot
topics include the use of big data and its implication, the evolving risks of cyber
security, and health research and de identification.
As we have discussed in class, the big data revolution is hitting the healthcare sector
hard. Hospitals, managed care organizations, and other providers are creating
significant value in analyzing data from a multitude of sources with much of the
information not previously thought of as healthcare data. What exactly does this
mean? Well, healthcare companies are gathering data such as gym membership

Fineness And Violence In The Workplace
COARSENESS AND VIOLENCE AT WORKPLACE ISSUES AND CHALLENGES
Abstract:
Workplace coarseness and violence are growing challenges for human resource
development (HRD) professionals. The occurrence of violent behavior at work. The
frequency, intensity, and duration of coarse behavior should be a concern to leaders
in any organization. All too often seemingly isolated and incidents like, instigating a
joke can lead to patterns of coarse behavior and it leads to bullying and even physical
violence. Many researchers have noted numerous detrimental outcomes of
workplace coarseness and violence. A coarse work environment may lead to poor
employee health, low job satisfaction, low organizational productivity and
commitment, high employee turnover, and poor application of learning at work.
Each is a form of aggressive behavior. In as much as coarse behavior is linked to
poor individual for e.g. job performance and organizational level outcomes, human
resource development (HRD) is increasingly being called to implement useful
strategies for dealing effectively with this vital workplace issue.
Key Words: Coarseness, Job Satisfaction, Employee Turnover
INTRODUCTION
At work, coarseness can manifest in three major ways. First, coarseness can be
interpersonal in nature, where one person is directly coarse toward another person. In
the above example, your supervisor neglecting to thank you for holding the door is an
example of interpersonal coarseness (whether or not she actually intended
Alphabet Murder Case Essay
The lives of three young girls were taken in the city of Rochester, New York, during
the 1970 s. Detectives could not identify this vicious killer, who is known as the
alphabet murder. This vicious murder did not only destroyed the lives of three young
girls, but also the lives of their families too. The alphabet murdercase is an interesting
case for the following reasons, the history of the young girl s lives, the evidence the
detectives have gathered off the young girl s body and the killers reasoning and or
emotions about when he took the young girls.
To begin with, the alphabet murder is interesting because of the history of the
victims. For instance, Carmen Colon was the first victim, Carmen came from a poor
catholic family, she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The authorities never found any evidence at the crime sense of either victims. The
evidence that the detectives do have is that there might be two alphabet murders.
The reason the detectives think this is because of how the young girls were found.
For example, Carmen Colon was the first victim, she went missing on the evening
of November 16th, 1971. When Carmen was supposed to be getting medications in
Bull s head, Rochester, for her grandfather, she would never be seen again. Carmen
found the next day and was not feed, was not clothed, sexually assaulted, had
bruises all over her body and was strangled by the killers hands. Wanda would be
the next victim 17 months later, she was taken on April 2nd, 1973, when she was
supposed to be getting groceries for her mother. Lastly, would be Michelle, who
was taken on November 26th, 1973 on her way home from school. Unlike Carmen,
the other two girls were feed, were clothed, sexually assaulted also, had little to no
bruises, and were strangled with a belt. One important piece of evidence is that the
detective suspected there could be two alphabet killers. One of those they believe
could be Carmen Colon s uncle, Miguel Colon. Detectives think this because he
avoided being questioned about Carmen s death, his alibi was
Santiago De Chile Essay
Stay and explore Santiago de Chile!
Among travelers around the globe, Chile is known to be a country that has numerous
natural beauties. From the deserts of Atacama to the magnificent peaks of Torre del
Paine, a nature lover can find literally anything in Chile. Unfortunately, because of
these beauties, the capital city eventually becomes a place to stop by instead of
becoming an actual destination. Santiago de Chile may become overlooked, but it
does not mean it has nothing to offer.
1. Hike up and enjoy the view

to do their groceries. Going to the markets in Santiago may not be the usual travel
destination, but if you want a glimpse at the life of a local in Santiago then the
mercados are a must visit! There are a few markets in Santiago such as Mercado
Central, La Vega, and Tirso de Molina. All of these markets have their own
specialty such as vegetrables, fruits, and seafood; it depends on your taste to which
market you want to visit. Take note that you will be among locals so it is good to
have some ability in Spanish.
Enjoy!
So, now we can see that Santiago has more to offer than just a layover spot. With
its history and culture, it is indeed a city filled with life and worth exploring. From
the markets to the neighborhoods to the food and drinks, they are gems often
overlooked. So, if you are traveling to Chile in the future and stopping by in
Santiago, take an advice:
Essay On Wound Drainage
The orthopedic literature has a long history of investigating the use of postoperative
wound drains (Cobb, 1990). In total joint arthroplasty, wound drains were associated
with increased rates of transfusion (Hallstrom and Steele, 1992; Quinn et al., 2015)
but not a decrease in the rate of wound complications. A systematic review of the
orthopedic literature comparing closed suction drainagesystems with no drainage
system for all types of elective and emergency orthopedic surgeryfound that there is
insufficient evidence from randomized trials to support the routine use of wound
drains in orthopedic surgery (Parker et al., 2007). Similarly, a meta analysis of
randomized controlled trials of wound drainage after hip fracture surgery... Show

They found that the group without drains developed epidural fluid collection by
MRI detection at a much higher rate of 89% compared to the drain group at 36%
(Mirzai et al., 2006). Their data suggested that drains could help clear excess fluid
from the surgical site and adjacent spaces. However, they did not observe a
difference in clinical outcomes between groups. A meta analysis of seven studies of
postoperative suction drain use after posterior spine surgery included 2,098 patients
and found that drains did not influence healing rates and or infection (Andrew
Glennie et al., 2015). The relationship between surgical drains and hematoma
prevention could not be established. Similarly, another recent meta analysis failed to
demonstrate an association between surgical site drains and decreased odds of
hematoma and infection (Waly et al., 2015). While the benefit of surgical site drains
in the lumbar spine remains to be demonstrated, the benefit of surgical site drains in
the cervical spine remains an unanswered question.
The study of surgical site drains in the posterior cervical spine is limited. Payhs et
al. suggested surgical site drains in the posterior cervical spine in combination with
alcohol foam or vancomycin powder are associated with reduced odds of surgical
site infection among patients undergoing any posterior cervical spine surgery (Pahys
et al., 2013). Our data regarding

One of the artistic movements to address slain soldiers and the moral questions it
posed was Dada. Dada laughs at the scornful style in art, the senselessness to think
clearly sensibly, and logically thought and even the foundations of modern society.
The mix emotion of Dada went further to question the concept of art itself.
For its first annual Forum exhibition in 1917, Marcel Duchamp was the leading
figure for displaying art for the, American Society of Independent Artists committee.
Most significant, he anonymously submitted a work of art that would be so shocking

Manic Pixie Dream Girl Analysis
Manic Pixie Dream Girl is a phrase directed towards the girl in a movie who, exists
solely in the fevered imaginations of sensitive writer directors to teach broodingly
soulful young men to embrace life and it is infinite mysteries and adventures
(Rabin). In the movie What s Eating Gilbert Grape Becky is a perfect example of a
Manic Pixie Dream Girl. Becky is Gilbert s Manic Pixie Dream Girl, and she is only
in the film to get Gilbert out of his shell, this will keep their relationship going even
after the credits role. Becky is not the only MPDG in the world, there are many in a

In other movies such as 500 Days of Summer , Elizabethtown, and Breakfast at
Tiffany s there are MPDG. All these girls are flawless, and free spirits. They want
adventure and to see new things in life. All three girls bring the male character out of
a slump. The MPDG is a component in the development of the male character. The
male characters fall endlessly in love with the Manic Pixie Dream Girl. They love
each and every characteristic about the girl and she seems almost perfect in his
eyes. They fall so in love because of the MPDG and how she presents herself. Each
movie is different in many ways, but what they all share is the Mani Pixie Dream
Girl. Nathan Rabin used the phrase Manic Pixie Dream Girl first describing the
film s adorably daffy love interest played by Kristen Dunst, in the film
Elizabethtown (Rabin). Manic Pixie Dream Girls are only in movies. They are
girls most males wish they had. Becky is the MPDG in What s Eating Gilbert
Grape who saves Gilbert, but there are more MPDG in numerous different films.
Nathan Rabin is the person who originated the saying Manic Pixie Dream Girl. In
his article I m sorry for coining the phrase Manic Pixie Dream Girl, Rabin says, In
2007, I invented the term in a review. Then I watched in queasy disbelief as it
seemed to take over pop culture. The image of a Manic Pixie Dream Girl has gained
a lot of attention and the character has been played in many

response to chronic job stressors. It is a disorder characterized by emotional
exhaustion, depersonalization and a low level of personal accomplishments, which
primarily affects people who are dealing with other people in their work (Maslach,

dealing with other people who cope with serious problems. Thus, burnout could be

Being ugly is a problem that everyone fears. Getting under the knife on a surgical table is an answer to the problem. Eating an apple and only an apple, once a day is the other answer to the problem. The problem of not looking beautiful is slowly wiping out the naturally beautiful men and women. What are you to do when looking like you do, is not beautiful? Parents, girls/boys, lovers, and friends are very influential in our lives. However, how much can we let someone else control the way we look? Beautiful is different and comes in different shape, color, and size. If we continue to place models and actresses/actors on a pedestal, then nothing will change. Women and men will continue to perfect their body. Beautiful. Everyone wants to look beautiful,

During my peer review session for this paper, I was able to see my mistakes such as verb tense agreement, word choice and awkward phrasing. I learned to not use abbreviations throughout this piece because a mixed audience may not be familiar with them. I think the best part of my narrative is my introduction and conclusion. My introduction sets a mysterious tone by stating I always wondered how would my life... By starting the

This direct quote from the novel illustrates Jackie s thought process as she immediately singles herself out as someone who simply does not belong because she is Asian. Then in another scene, when she goes to the Holiday Bowl for the first time, she is taken back by the ethnic mix of old people that were there. Revoyr writes, She had seen gatherings of elderly Asian people; she d seen gatherings of elderly blacks; but never before had she seen the two in one place. It was such a surprise to her, so visually inconceivable, that it was as if someone had taken footage of two senior citizens groups and then skillfully spliced them together (Revoyr, 157). These are examples of modern day noir, because of Jackie s indirect expression of fear and shock in the presence of other ethnic groups. This illustrates the idea that not much has changed since the days of the 1965 riots that even in modern day, there is an underlining racist perception that people still have. Another important thing to note is that throughout the novel, at the times when Jackie learns about how severe racial prejudice and violence was in the past, she is forced to take a step back in order to imagine what living in the past was like. It is true that the people who grew up during her parents and grandparents time had to endure such a high degree of fear and struggle; Jackie, on the other

Competition As A Monopolistic Competition Competition in Smartphone Markets Introduction The competition in Smartphone Markets is a monopolistic competition, in which the products of each firm are differentiated and the entry barrier is free. Products competing in the network industries have network externalities. Accordingly, this essay will deal with the following aspects of the question. Initially, the concept of the monopolistic competition is present. Follow by the idea of the network effect theory. The multi sided market and the core business strategies is analyzed and finally, the examination of the future of the smartphone competition is shown. What is the monopolistic competition ? Monopolistic competition refers to a competition where monopoly exists, and is neither a perfect competition nor an oligopoly. As the market competition become intense, the distribution of resource becomes rational; therefore, the level of competition in the monopolistic competition is more intense than it is in the oligopoly and perfect competition (Roberts et al, 1977). Another reason caused this is that the products in the monopolistic competition can be easily replaced. Nowadays, smartphones of different brands are similar on their appearance, details and even functions. The conditions for a monopolistic competition to exist are as follows. Initially, the products in the competition have to be differentiated. The differences can be in the quality of the products, the appearance, the label or the sales conditions.

There are so many things that we can relate from the author to Anne s character, it may be coincidental, but considering how Montgomery used writing as a therapeutic relief, it is quite evident that some of her traits and beliefs such as the aspect of depression and Hurtubise 4 loneliness were meant to be poured into the book (Rubio, Writing a life: L.M. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young adults ages 15 to 24 in fact, studies have shown that someone takes their own life every 100 minutes. Young adults with enormous potential are taking their own lives at alarming rates, and these numbers may very well continue to increase unless we band together as a society to take action. In order to help teens with depression eliminate the risk of suicide, doctors must administer depression screenings, teachers must be trained on how to deal with and respond to mental illnesses, and parents must be educated on the signs and treatment of depression. One way to help teens with undiagnosed depression get help is to add screenings for depression to routine doctor checkups for patients ages 12 to 18. • 22. Characteristics Of Caring For Patients Characteristics of Caring The first characteristic of caring deals with a healing interaction between the nurse and patient that leads to a therapeutic outcome. The outcome is therapeutic when a patient remains autonomous. Often times, this is hindered because a person seeks out healthcare when they can no longer manage their symptoms on their own (Lindberg, Fagerstrom, Sivberg, Willman, 2014). In order for this healing interaction to take place, a nurse must recognize that the patient has rights to their own views, values, and beliefs. The nurse must remain open to the patient s needs in order to accommodate them effectively. Caring for patients by healing interactions can also be considered complete according to Ranheim, Karner, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Examples of this include giving a patient an injection of heparin after breaking a hip or asking a co worker to put a gown on in an isolation room. It is crucial that a nurse be competent and caring enough to explain the purpose of what we do in a respectful manner. Antecedents and Consequences Antecedents According to Brilowski Wendler (2005), the main antecedent of caring was the amount of time a nurse has to care. High patient to staff ratios make it hard to a nurse to care for a patient in a way that provides holistic healing. Consequently, dissatisfaction occurs for the patient and they may perceive this lack of attention as a lack of caring from the nurse. Consequences Consequences to caring are generally positive. The main consequence is increased health and healing for the patient (Brilowski Wendler, 2005). Another positive consequence is a feeling of power and autonomy for patients. Finally, the patient s perception of the nurse is positively influenced as they are now viewed as compassionate, competent, and respectful (Brilowski Wendler, 2005). • 23. A Debate Regarding School Boards On April 26th, 2011, the Thomas Fordham Institute hosted a debate regarding school boards in the 21st century. Four panelists discussed the validity and importance of school boards. While the panelists disagreed on several points, all parties felt that school boards are still important in today s society. Although school boards are still vital at a certain level, serious concerns were also presented during the panel discussion regarding the traditional practices of governance and localized centers of control within school boards today. Anne Bryant provides research based studies, examples, and justification in favor of school boards. She outlined that effective school boards must have a shared vision, set tightly focused goals, utilize data, focus on policy, and focus and collaborate with all stakeholders. According to Bryant, school boards must connect to the community and the local taxpayers while boosting community engagement. While we agree that school boards must be concerned about student achievement, I appreciate that she also expressed the idea that most school boards do not believe in silver bullets and are caution in nature. I hesitate to support school boards because I feel they often tend to micromanage and feel the power to make sweeping policies even though they lack the significant scientific background of education. Her recognition that school boards often want reform, but know there are not quick fixes helped to reassure me of their intentions.

Color Vision Development in Infants Color Vision Development in Infants: The Responsibility of Cone Types and Wavelength in Order of Color Development It is a wonderful thing to witness a sunset and see all the various colors that occur in our world. What would it be like if we didn t view the sunset with all the beautiful colors that are perceived in it? According to Brown, Lindsey, Mcsweeney, and Walters, (1994) without factoring in brightness, newborn infants cannot differentiate between colors. This was found by testing infants in forced choice preferential looking experiments or FPL experiments (Brown et al., 1994). It is astonishing to think that we haven t always viewed the world in various vibrant colors. So at what point do we as individuals develop full color... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Infants that were aged 4 weeks and 9 weeks were evaluated in a study that looked at red/ green color and it was found that the responses to the stimuli for nine week old infants were greater in response to the stimuli than four week old infants (Teller Palmer, 1996). Is it possible that the younger infants in the study by Teller and Palmer (1996) had not yet fully matured their s cone receptors? At what age does the color green develop in infants? Does the amount of s cones we have contribute and affect the order in which we develop color? According to a blog by Jones (2013), a retinal neuroscientist and photographer, tritanopia colorblind people have s (blue) cones absent and have issues deciphering between blue and green, infants might not be able to see blue yet (Robin, 2014), so as a replacement for blue, I am going to use gray as the comparing color. I predict that infants three weeks old will see the green and gray colors differently, and have an increase in gaze time on the color green while previously viewing gray or red. Hypothesis Infants that are three weeks old will be at the beginning stages of maturing s cones, which should enable them to begin viewing green and will in turn prefer the color green (longer gaze time) because it is new in their development of color. Independent variables of the study will be which color is shown to the infants.
  • 26. Replication Of Hev Is Still Largely Unknown Because... Replication of HEV Replication pattern of HEV is still largely unknown because effective cell culture system for HEV has been developed recently (Tanaka et al., 2007). It is believed that HEV enters the cell by binding to cellular receptor, heparin sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs), with its capsid protein and viral entry is carried out by the binding of C terminal region of ORF2 to the cell surface protein, heat shock cognate protein 70 (HSC70) (Zhou and Emerson, 2006; Kalia et al., 2009). Also, p239, a truncated partial homodimer of the HEV capsid protein (HEV239) potentially binds to the HEV receptor(s) on cells (He et al., 2008) and a cellular chaperone, glucose regulated protein (Grp78) (Yu et al., 2011). However, more studies should be conducted to confirm the cellular receptors for HEV. The mechanism of uncoating of the HEV genome after its entry into the cells is also unknown. One of the study has suggested that heat shock protein (HSP90) might be playing role in intracellular transport of HEV since the inhibition of HSP90 blocked the intracellular transport of the HEV239 capsid protein but did not affect the binding and entry of the truncated capsid protein (Zheng et al., 2010). Today, artists affected by the social context and personal experiences reproduce pieces of art that question or make a point about controversial issues in our society. A great example is the painting created in 2006 called Great Detonators ( Grandes Detonadores ) by the Mexican artist Acamonchi. The painting is located in the exhibition The Very large Array: San Diego/ Tijuana Artist in the Peter C. Farrell Gallery inside the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCA). Acamonchi s piece is a collagepainting integrated by posters, stencils, and graffiti, which illustrate an obvious inspiration by the street art style. It is composed of cold colors such as blue, green, and aqua. Its multiple media consist of spray, paper, tape, acrylic, and oil. Moreover, the gallery is presented in big white walls and it has natural and artificial white light. The surface texture of the piece is a combination of corrugated, flat and in some parts smooth. The size is about 8 feet wide and 8 feet long, the condition is excellent, and the frame is made of wood. Furthermore, the painting the Great Detonators conveys ideas about mass produced waste, political awareness and urban chaos. Consequently, the artist Acamonchi uses this piece of art to express his opinion about important issues today during our contemporary times. First of all, through the use of scale, Acamonchi communicated ideas regarding mass produced waste in his piece the

Report to school every day,get a proper education. But that s not the case in all schools. Some students are not able to learn during the school day. They may get distracted by going off topic in class or get disturbed by what someone is wearing. If their freedom of speech is limited, students will actually be able to learn. Freedom of speech should have limits because it increases educationtime, it allows kids to prepare for the future, and it limits bullying and harassment. Firstly, freedom of speech should have limits because it increases education time. For example, students can lose up to 38 days a year due to disruptions in class and about 1 hour per day (Al.com). Teenagers report to schoolto get an education and learn for the future, they do not show up at school to talk to everyone the entire day. Due of talking, they lose class time and they do not get much done. If freedom of speech is limited students will be able to learn more. Also if another peer is wearing something that is very distracting, this will disrupt the class. For example, the Tinker v.s Des Moines Independent Community School District case was about students wearing armbands to support the Vietnam War. The appearance of the armband distracted their peers from their work. The school was able to discipline the students wearing the bands . ( Tinker v.

Leaders of a healthcare organization must be equipped to adapt to the continuous chaos or face defeat. Information securityand privacy is a fundamental component of a successful and efficient healthcare environment. The coming year will be a busy one for lawyers, compliance officers, privacy officers, and senior management as they must stay above the game when it comes to privacy and security. I will explore three trending issues and concerns relating to healthcare privacy and security. My hot topics include the use of big data and its implication, the evolving risks of cyber security, and health research and de identification. As we have discussed in class, the big data revolution is hitting the healthcare sector hard. Hospitals, managed care organizations, and other providers are creating significant value in analyzing data from a multitude of sources with much of the information not previously thought of as healthcare data. What exactly does this mean? Well, healthcare companies are gathering data such as gym membership lapses, food shopping habits, clothing shopping, income, marital status, and even the number of cars (Bloomberg.com, 2014; Singer, 2014).

All too often seemingly isolated and incidents like, instigating a joke can lead to patterns of coarse behavior and it leads to bullying and even physical violence. Many researchers have noted numerous detrimental outcomes of workplace coarseness and violence. A coarse work environment may lead to poor employee health, low job satisfaction, low organizational productivity and commitment, high employee turnover, and poor application of learning at work. Each is a form of aggressive behavior. In as much as coarse behavior is linked to poor individual for e.g. job performance and organizational level outcomes, human resource development (HRD) is increasingly being called to implement useful strategies for dealing effectively with this vital workplace issue. Their data suggested that drains could help clear excess fluid from the surgical site and adjacent spaces. However, they did not observe a difference in clinical outcomes between groups. A meta analysis of seven studies of postoperative suction drain use after posterior spine surgery included 2,098 patients and found that drains did not influence healing rates and or infection (Andrew Glennie et al., 2015). The relationship between surgical drains and hematoma prevention could not be established. Similarly, another recent meta analysis failed to demonstrate an association between surgical site drains and decreased odds of hematoma and infection (Waly et al., 2015). While the benefit of surgical site drains in the lumbar spine remains to be demonstrated, the benefit of surgical site drains in the cervical spine remains an unanswered question. The study of surgical site drains in the posterior cervical spine is limited. Payhs et al. suggested surgical site drains in the posterior cervical spine in combination with alcohol foam or vancomycin powder are associated with reduced odds of surgical site infection among patients undergoing any posterior cervical spine surgery (Pahys et al., 2013). Our data regarding

One of the artistic movements to address slain soldiers and the moral questions it posed was Dada. Dada laughs at the scornful style in art, the senselessness to think clearly sensibly, and logically thought and even the foundations of modern society. The mix emotion of Dada went further to question the concept of art itself.
