What Is The Mood Of The Killing Joke Movie
The DC Extended Universe might be releasing two major live action flicks this year, but fans are
also excited about the new animated adaptation of Alan Moore s classic graphic novel Batman:
The Killing Joke. Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor Mark Hamill, who will once again
provide the voice of The Joker in the film, is undoubtedly excited as he shared the first image
from the movie on Twitter! Hamill tweeted the still from The Killing Joke showing Batman
grabbing The Joker s collar. The actor actually posted the image three times, each with a
different line from The Joker. The first tweet reads, THE All it takes is one bad day to reduce the
sanest man alive to lunacy...Just one bad day, followed by another post with the caption,
KILLING Remember there s always madness... Madness is the emergency exit. The last tweet
reads, JOKE If I have to have a past, then I prefer it to be multiple choice. ... Show more content on

Kevin Conroy, the long time voice of Batman, has also been confirmed to come back as the Dark
Knight. The news was confirmed to Comic Book Resources in a statement from both actors.
The chance to work once again with Kevin Conroy, my favorite Batman, in what some consider
the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true for me, Hamill said, and Conroy
also shared his admiration for his costar. Mark always enables me to be a better actor, he said. I
m thrilled that we re both back to bring these characters to life in one of the most heralded
Batman/Joker stories of all times. Batman: The Killing Joke will also mark the return of Tara
Strong as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, who falls victim to the Joker in the comic book. The film is
expected to be released later this

Tonight I Can Write... Tonight I can write... is one of the best poems written by the great Pablo
Neruda. He was known as a poet when he was 10 years old. He wrote in many different styles,
including passionate love poems such this chosen poem. This is one of the greatest poem I ve
ever came across. Pablo really expressed his love and feelings towards his no longer loved one.
Reading this poem showed me how loyal and strong he is as well as remembering all the
memories whether they were a happy memories or sad ones. This poem also shows the reader from
the beginning, how their relationship was kind of great and then how things got escalated quickly
and the conflict that he was fighting between himself when he couldn t forget her. ... Show more

The poem begins with a statement which is repeated 3 times throughout the poem in line 1, 5 and
11 which created rhythm. This helps the reader to come back to that phrase and be able to fully
understand the depth of what the writer is feeling.
Next, when the writer said The night is shattered and the blue stars shiver in the distance , he
used imagery which is when words are used to create visual images. In this line, the writer creates
an image of the night s sky in readers mind and describes them as far away. These

DEA Case Summary
On Friday May 29, 2015 I talked to Diversion Investigator (DI) Frank Ringenbach, DEA case
agent, via telephone and he explained DEA s investigation of Dr. Ishida. DI Ringenbach stated
their investigation began as the result of Pharmacist Anthony Roberts, owner of the St. Charles
Health Mart Pharmacy, alerting the DEA Dr. Ishida may be mis prescribing controlled substances.
According to Ringenbach, Dr. Ishida was writing prescriptions for pain medications and muscle
relaxers. DI Ringenbach examined six (6) prescriptions provided by Mr. Roberts. The controlled
substances prescribed were for Hydrocodone, Zolpidem, Carisoprodol, Alprazolam, Diazepam, and
Temazepam. Di Ringenbach stated he interviewed Dr. Ishida regarding his medical practice,

As discussed numerous times throughout our class,...
As discussed numerous times throughout our class, classifying events in one lifetime as normal or
abnormal is nearly impossible. Every person has a different story and a unique life filled with
entirely different memories, events and emotions. The idea of what is normal changes with several
contexts, including time, culture, gender etc. Every generation experiences the same basic timeline,
including a few major milestones (education, moving out, marriage, having children etc.), but when
a person experiences those events depends on changes in the economic status or availability of
resources available. These changes can cause a population to be pushed to go through different
stages of life earlier or later than their ancestors.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They have less pressure to conceive during a certain time because their bodies give them the
ability to procreate in later years. In all, because of one s historical time period, cultural
subgroup, gender, and other contexts, one s conception of normality differs. I interviewed Neda
Alvieri, my seventy two year old Nana (grandmother) from Croatia. Nana was born on February
18th, 1942 in Poljana, Croatia, where she still lives today. She was raised with her 2 brothers
and 2 sisters by her mother and father in their village. It was her responsibility on the village to
help tend to the animals, crops, and when she was in her teens, help her mother do basic
housework. Religion was and still is an important part of my Nana s life, being a devoted Christian.
Every week, the family would walk with the rest of the village to the local church and pray. She
enjoyed singing and knitting growing up, and I am actually lucky enough to have a few things
that she knitted for me. She never went to school when she was a kid. By the time she was
sixteen, she was married to my Dido, (grandfather). It was an arranged marriage by her parents
and his. By 1960, when she was 18, she had her first child, my Teta (aunt) Lucjiana. At this time,
she had moved away from her family to live with her husband. Dido Bruno never had a proper
education either. He was a carpenter. Some of the houses he built are still standing today. When my
Nana got married, she did the same

Marilyn Monroe Psychosocial Analysis Essay
This research paper presents a psychoanalytic analysis of Marilyn Monroe. Psychosocial
development includes two latter stages of Erikson s theory. Omnibus analysis discusses personality
factors which include the following: abilities, talents, and temperament, family members and
cultural tradition, sexual behavior, cognitive style, affect and impulses, motives, attitudes and
impulses, and relationships to principle figures. Erikson s later stages of psychosocial development
included intimacy versus isolation for the young adult, and generativity versus self absorption for
the middle adult. Marilyn Monroe failed to encounter true intimacy and she became isolated. The
youth who is not sure of her identity does not achieve interpersonal intimacy and is thrown into
acts of intimacy that are promiscuous and are without true fusion. Marilyn was unsure of who she
was, actress was her only identity. She maintained her isolation through a series of idealized and
exhibitionistic relationships (Erikson, 1968, pp. 135 137; Chessick, 1983, pp. 161 170).... Show

Man needs to be cared for and to be needed. Marilyn remained focused on unmet needs for care.
She also failed at having children which reduced her chances of applying the generativity drive to
her offspring. Generativity also includes creativity and productivity; however, Marilyn s abilities
remained focused on self tendencies. When there is a failure to develop generativity, this leads to
an expansion of ego interests and a libidinal investment; regression to an obsessive need for
pseudointimacy takes place with a sense of boredom, stagnation, and impoverishment. Marilyn was
described as appearing bored and she demonstrated continual libidinal drive and pseudointimate
relationships (Erikson, 1968, pp. 135 137; Chessick, 1983, pp.

Classical Music Observations
Most everyone will agree that music is enjoyed by everyone. However, not everyone likes the
same types of music. The good thing is, music has the ability to provide a vast variety of sounds
that everyone can appreciate in some form or fashion. I attended the Festival Fanfare Classical
Music Concert on June 14, 2016, in Hattiesburg, MS. This was the first time that I ever attended a
classical musicevent. Not knowing if I particularly liked classical music, I was pleasantly surprised
at how much I enjoyed listening to the three instruments being played: the trumpet, the piano, and
the organ.
The first instrument that was played was the trumpet, by Ryan Anthony. Right away, I noticed the
bright timbre and allegro tempo it possessed. Next

Through those linkages Nag and Gioia were able to draw tree knowledge pathways. The knowledge
adaption pathways describe the track how managerial distinctions emerge to knowledge adaption.
The knowledge augmentation pathways describe the way to the augmentation of knowledge and
the third track describes how it happens that uncommon knowledge is not used.
In the knowledge adaption pathways executives consider knowledge as most important for
operational efficiency. They believe it s hard to obtain from external sources and they have
confidence in their own knowledge but limited trust in workers knowledge. They are scan ning
intensively for knowledge and personally they had a greater share in knowledge work. Firms on
that pathway are adapting knowledge and come more likely to an incremental development.
In contrast described before in the knowledge augmentation pathways leaders have a strong
confidence on own knowledge, on workers capabilities and they believe their know ledge is
distinctive and hard to imitate for competitors. Therefore they are scanning pro actively and
engaging others to knowledge work. These companies use uncommon know ledge through
augmentation. Radical innovations are more likely in those companies.
On the path for no uncommon knowledge use the executives contribute knowledge mostly to raise

The State Law Enforcement Agency
The state law enforcement agency that obtained the offender s information is responsible for
entering the data into the appropriate record system and notifies the appropriate law enforcement
agency that resides over the jurisdiction of the offender. All of the data collected from the offender
will also be transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Every year on the date of the person s
initial registration the state law enforcement agencywill mail them a nonforwardable verification
form to their last reported address. The person then is required to mail the verification form to
the designated state law enforcement agency with ten days. Verification forms must be signed
and the person must report they still reside at the same address last reported to the state law
enforcement agency. Failure to mail the verification form within ten days results in a violation
of the act unless the person is able to prove their address has not changed (statute). Convicted
offenders who must register are required to comply until ten years have elapsed since they have
been released from prison, paroled, given supervised release or put on probation. The requirement
of a person to register may also be terminated when it is determined the person no longer suffers
from a mental abnormality or personality disorder that would make the person likely to engage in

Bowl Of Stew
I listen to a great deal of leadership material while in my truck. Just to give you perspective, I
drive about a thousand miles a week for work. This audio of Andy Stanley is at the top of the
list. It is interesting that this will be our writing topic for the week, because as I listened my
thoughts were on the problem. As the presentation of Andy, I asked myself this question, what
bowl of stew will it take for me to hire the guy that has what appears to be shady (tapping his life
shadows) ethics as it relates to sharing proprietary information? Will my shadow for
advancement be over whelming to the point I will have a lapse in my judgment or in my
character and hire this guy for my personal gain? Does the most powerful person in the room
come into play as it relates to this hire? If yes, how will I give this power to others to make a
team decision instead of a personal decision? I ponder these things as I listen to the audio and relate
them to our problem. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If self leadership is the core of how I am and how I will operate, will this difficult work of dealing

rationalize others action and behaviors to justify my own. For example, I struggled with a bowl
of stew called pornography for some years, my rationalization was, and it is better than having
an affair and loosing my family and marriage like my coworkers. As you can see the bowl of stew
was large, and without the help of my spouse and other accountability partners, I would be giving
up my birth right for temporary personal gratification. I praise God that this bowl of stew was faced
about ten years ago, not to say that I do not struggle with the temptation, however, accountability

Examples Of Format A Resume
1 Format your resume. It is vital to make the right first impression to your prospective employers
because the first thing that will jump into their sight is how well organized your resume is. In
most cases, your resume will not get a thorough reading at the first time no matter how well
written. Therefore, it is a good idea to make your resume attractive and readable by formatting.
There are some useful tips for you to format your resume. First, keep your resume short and
simple. Most people do not need more than two pages unless you have extensive related skills and
experience. Second, invite employers attention by using wide margins and a logical format. A
logical format contributes to the effect of the overall design and wide margins... Show more content

3 Make your content shine. The description of your education and work experience is the core of
your resume, which is also the section that employers will mainly focus on. Therefore, making
your content interesting and descriptive will enable your resume to stand out from competitors.
Here are some ways that can help your resume gets noticed. First, use active voice and expressive
verbs to describe the specific things that you have done. These can highlight your ability and
skills, and spice up your resume to make it stand out. For example, if you were an administrative
assistant, you might want to use words such as scheduled and coordinated . You can use them by
writing Scheduled and coordinated appointments. Another good way to make your content shine
is to put more emphasis on your achievements and accomplishments. By emphasizing the results
you have delivered with specific facts and highlighting the ways you have added value in the
past, you will be able to demonstrate your ability and skills for solving problems with convincing
evidence. The last effective way is to choose a descriptive title for your previous job position. For
instance, instead of saying you were a secretary, say you were an administrative assistant. In
addition, think about how well the title can describe the job. For example, manager is a vague

There Are Three Lines To Live In The Labyrinth
Notwithstanding, in the same text (we could, of course, quote many others), there is also
evidence of an acquaintance with the pre socratic unity of opposites (later adapted by Nicolau of
Cusa to the idea of God), by means of which a straight line is potentially no different from a
circular line (plus, a formulation that is also reminiscent of Zeno s Paradoxes of Motion):
There are three lines too many in your labyrinth, he said at last. I know of a Greek labyrinth that is
but one straight line. So many philosophers have been lost upon that line that a mere detective
might be pardoned if he became lost as well. When you hunt me down in another avatar of our
lives, Scharlach, I suggest that you fake (or commit) one crime at A, a second crime at B, eight
kilometers from A, then a third crime at C, four kilometers from A and B and halfway between
them. Then wait for me at D, two kilometers from A and C, once again halfway between them.

Mein Kampf Analysis
Adolf Hitler s book Mein Kampf or also known as My Struggle that was published sometime
between 1925 and 1927 clearly describes his political viewpoints, moreso on race . His story
supposedly is directed on his development of his ideas and the Natzi movement with a mixture of
half truths, big lies, scurrilous attacks, and idealistic emotional appeals. Specifically, Hitler
highlights the importance of race and explains the struggles occurring in Western Europe at the
time. Hitler completely rejects the idea of Marxism and Communism, and opposes the belief that
the Bourgeoisie are oppressors , as Marx had claimed. Alternatively, Hitler emphasizes on the
categorization of people by their race, accentuating the idea that certain physical attributes... Show

Hitler states, It is idle to argue which race or races were the original representative of human
culture and hence the real founders of all that we sum up under the word humanity (Hitler 605).
According to himself, the top is a Germanic man with light skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes,
known as Aryan. He is stated as the founder of all higher humanity and represents the prototype
of all that we understand by the word man . Hitler disapproved of Marxism because it disregards
the idea of nationalism and the importance of race. Through Hitler s eye, Marxism basically
handed the world over to the Jews, in which the Jews would have much control over Europe. In
addition, he felt as though Marxism would give the Jews power in order to enslave and destroy
people that are not Jewish. Jews contaminated aspects of culture such as art, literature, and theater
and they convert these significant elements of society into their own beliefs. Overall, the Jews
wanted to eliminate all others and control the Germans for their own gain. It was the battle for
world domination; racially, culturally, and politically between the Aryans and the Jews. Hitler
wanted to keep the Jews and Aryan separate because he felt as though the Jews were truly evil
people and should be eliminated and the Aryans should be kept pure. Mixing between races would

Descartes Argument For The Existence Of Human Being
In his meditation II, concerning the nature of the human mind, Descartes aims to provide an
argument for the existence of human being. Since one knows that he/she is or exists, Descartes
argues that this awareness of our own existence must also contain the understanding of our true
nature. By identifying the first item of knowledge that is valid and certain Descartes derives the
criteria for evaluating knowledge.
Assuming that the source of our knowledge cannot rely on the senses, Descartes makes an attempt
to rebuild the complex system of knowledge upon material he can find within the contents of his
own mind. The Second Meditation begins with an assumption that one is committed to suspect
judgment with respect to anything which contains any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He further states that if I know that I am, then I must also know what I am. Thereby he argues that
an understanding of my true nature must be contained implicitly in the content of my awareness.
Since I became certain of my existence by questioning the sensory information and the existence of
a material world, none of the apparent features of my human body can have been crucial for my
understanding of myself. But all that is left is my thought itself, so Descartes concluded that I am
thing that thinks...thing that doubts, understands, affirms, denies, wills, refuses and that also
imagines and senses (Med. II, p. 537). In Descartes s terms, I am a substance whose inseparable
attribute (or entire essence) is thought (mind), with all its modes: doubting, willing, conceiving and
believing. So completely I am identified with my conscious awareness, Descartes claimed, that if I
were to stop thinking altogether, it would follow that I no longer existed at all. At this point,
nothing else about human nature can be determined with such perfect

Women s Rights During The Civil War
Falling within a timeline of political and social inequality, the American Civil War came at a
key time to change the women s rights landscape. The period leading up to the Civil War,
however, did not see a society ready to change, and thus, little work was done towards the
women s rights movement. According to Women s Civil War History author Mary Elizabeth

(qtd in Hall 1 2). Dogmatic women s rights activists were stuck in a world that deemed women as
inferior, which created a society ripe for change; change that would make significant headway
during the Civil War through the creation of the female run United States Sanitary Commission.
The USSC was a civilian operation unlike any other that aimed to coordinate supplies, relief, and
medicine during the Civil War while simultaneously empowering women to leave the domestic
sphere. Founded in 1861 and staffed with at least 3,200 paid female nurses and hundreds of
additional volunteers, the USSC was, according to the Commission itself, a grand system of
sanitary care and succor, (Williams 136, The USSC iii). However, societal views did not change
overnight as the women of the USSC worked throughout the war and into the years after to erase
the gender divide. Overcoming considerable opposition to its creation, the USSC mobilized women
through organization and work experience, changing their political standing and public perceptions

The Shame of the Nation by Jonathan Kozol
I. Analysis of the mechanics of the book. If anyone in the United States were asked, What is the
best part about living in this country?, most people would answer equality . The United States is
built on and known for the equality among its citizens and is often referred to as the melting pot .
After reading Jonathan Kozols, The Shame of the Nation, equality is nonexistent within the
schools he has gone to, and has been employed through. With his travels, expert testimony and
personal stories gathered from the people within the community and schools, he shows the exact
opposite of equality. Minority schools being his main focus, he discusses the inequalities these
students endure and truly opens up your eyes to just how awful these minority schools have it.
Jonathan Kozol is successful in his writing of The Shame of the Nation, and makes himself a
voice for these minority schools that are denied of their voices. The way Kozol chooses to
organize his book is very effective. It has a topical way of organization with a touch of
chronological usage through the book. Instead of just starting right into his points that he strives
to make, he begins the book with a little history about himself and how he ended up in the
position of traveling to these different schools. This is extremely necessary to the book, without it
the reader would have no idea as to why he chose to do his observations and how he came to love
what he does. Knowing that he has the experience of teaching

Muscle Apartness Or DOMS
It s not about the lactic acid Muscle soreness is actually not from the buildup of lactic acid! It is
actually delayed onset muscle soreness or DOMS. It is very important for a person to know the
causes of muscle soreness. For example, if a person knows what muscle soreness is and why it is
caused, then they will not have to worry when the muscles actually get sore. It is important to
know why our muscles get sore after exercising so we can gain an understanding, the causes of it,
and if it is healthy for your body. Knowing the causes of musclesoreness is a very important topic
to understand. For example, is a person knows why muscle soreness is caused, then they can know
how to avoid it or control it. Sore muscles after physical activity is known as delayed onset muscle

likely caused by microscopic muscle tears. (Harrington n.p.). People often say that muscle
soreness is caused by lactic acid but it is actually microscopic muscle tears. This shouldn t be a
concern to the muscles because it is a completely normal process for the go through. DOMS is
completely different from pain that you may feel during a workout (Harrington n.p.). For
example, if you a lifting a weight the wrong way or using too much weight, then you may feel
pain on your bones or tendons. DOMS is delayed muscle soreness. So if you feel pain during a

Automobile In The Great Gatsby
If you were to have to choose one invention that had the largest impact on everyday life during the
20th century, the invention of the automobile may just have been the most important and impactful.
Although the technology existed during the late 19th century to produce an automobile, had it not
been for Henry Fordand his assembly lines, the automobilemay have never been brought into the
hands of the general population. With the expansion of the automobile industry came an economic
revolution during the 1920s across the continental United States as thousands of jobs were created
with the introduction of highway systems in 1921 with the Federal Aid Highway Act. The intent of
the act was to create coherent highway networks using Federal funds... Show more content on

Scott Fitzgerald published a series of three essays in one of which he wrote: I dreamed that I saw
always at the wheel of a magnificent Stutz, a Stutz as low as a snake and as red an Indiana Barn.
(The Crack Up, Fitzgerald, 226) The cars that Fitzgerald owned in his life, from a Rolls Royce,
to a Buick, a Stutz, a Packard, a Ford Coupe and finally a Ford convertible would be a
comparison between the dreams and realities he had in his life in his journey from careless
youth to a cautious, middle aged man which was greatly representative of the characters in his
novels as well. Fitzgerald s descriptions of Jay Gatsby s Rolls Royce in his 1925 novel The Great
Gatsby are very similar to that of Morrison s as it is described as being a rich cream color, bright
with nickel, swollen here and there in its monstrous length with triumphant hat boxes and upper
boxes and tool boxes, and terraced with a labyrinth of wind shields that mirrored a dozen suns.
Sitting down behind many layers of glass in a sort of green leather conservatory, we started to

Tuscarora Vs Morrison Formation Essay
Both the Tuscarora and Morrison formations have similarities. At the same time, they both are
composed of unique materials that is what set them apart and thus the reason I say they have
differences. Obvious differences will include that the Tuscarora is known as an eastern
sandstone, while the Morrison is a western sandstone. More obscured differences can be like
what ages they are in. The Tuscarora formation is in the Silurian age, located in Pennsylvania,
mostly composed of quartzite, and is secondarily composed of sandstone. Its thickness is 150 200
feet and is in the lower part of the Silurian age. The Tuscarora formation is in the Clinton group.
One member would be Castanea located at the top of the Tuscarora Formation. The depositional
environment is, as we know it, a continental shelf of some sort of marine zone because of sediment
structures like fossils and cross bedding. The Tuscarora formation is mainly non porous and neither

the Morrison formation is the Kootenay group and members are the Tidwell, Brushy Basin, and

some sort of marine geographical region. The Morrison formation generally has high porosity
and permeability due to bigger gaps in the sandstone and mudstone. The Morrison formation also
includes lots of fossils. Generally speaking, both the Morrison formation and Tuscarora
formation are similar because of where they are deposited and they both have fossils in them
which is valuable for paleontologists. Huge differences would be whether one was made of
porous and permeable material and the other was not which makes an even bigger difference in

Conflict Between Arabs And Arabs
For such a young and geographically small country, Israel boasts one of the most complicated
geopolitical situations in the world today. Situated in Western Asia on the southeastern shore of the
Mediterranean Sea, it shares borders with Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan, the Palestinian territories,
which include the West Bank and Gaza, Egypt, and the Red Sea. The Jewish state was created at
the conclusion of World War II by the United Nations when the British Mandate expired and the
State of Israelwas officially established on May 14, 1948, but it lacked clear borders in an area
where tensions between Arabs and Jews had already been in existence for thousands of years.
Even though Israel is The Jewish State , demographics for 2014 show the population to be 75%
Jewish and 24% Arab. This Arab population, mostly Palestinian, occupies what is known as the
West Bank, which is controlled by the Palestinian Authority, but the Israeli Occupation and
Military officially controls it and the Gaza Strip. The two groups struggle over how to divide the
land, who should be allowed to live there, and who should be in control has led to the longest
military occupation in history and one of the world s largest geopolitical conflicts.

Memes and Life
We have three replicators 1. Genes 2. Memes 3. Fremes (I have called them that).
These three replicators are selfish in that they contiuously try to replicate.
In the book by Susan Blackmore, it is mentioned that the reason why we cannot stop thinking is
because there are too many memes in our memory that can find their place in the brain. Hence, we
continuously keep on thinking, but at the cost of higher energy requirements. Indeed, thinking
utilizes more brain power which in turn requires more oxygen for which more blood flow is
required. Hence, in a nutshell, the more we think the more energy we consume and the more the
genetically weaker our genes become as we are wasting more energy. What we see here that these...

Hence, let us see how ideally we should be able to control these memes.
We need to control the gene replication. For this, the simple idea is not to produce offsprings.
Simple.
We need to control the meme replication. For this, we need to try to stop thinking. Difficult, but
practice makes us perfect, or so they say.
We need to control freme replication. For this, let me take you on this concept of a time
machine. The photon clock example. Yes. As our speed increases, the value of the time
decreases. This is all hypothetical and yes, impossible too. Later, I will explain why.
Nevertheless, the analogy is interesting. We are saying that the longer the time the lesser number
of ticks and hence smaller the value of time. This way. So the longer the time, the more the
control as you could possibly do things more dexterously. So in order to control fremes, we need
to decrease the meme activity and increase the freme activity, i.e. decrease the value of time as
frequency = 1/ Time.
So, what do we collect from all this?
In order to reach a higher state we should ideally be away from the greed of

Introduction Within the telecommunications industry, everything ranging from television to
internet services continues to face evolving and transformational changes more often than other
industries such as services. It should come to no surprise given the advances in technologies across
the globe, that an industry that is heavily technological based should also follow suit. This allows
for both old and new organizations to tap in the growth of both the human and technological capital
to bring about revolutionary changes in the telecommunicationsworld. For example, the introduction
of fiber optics made way for telecommunication conglomerates to offer faster internetservices to

Thomas Hardy employs an `omniscient narrator in his rural novel `Return of the Native , as he
attempts to mimic classical tragedy by uniting the essential elements of time, place and action. The
fact that the novel was originally intended to be of a five book structure, with monthly instalments,
ending with a final, devastating climax, coupled with the numerous classical references to Hades.
Hercules and Prometheus , shows even further Hardy s desire to create an immensely tragic novel,
void of a desire to please societies middle class novel reading public. Although it was to be this

One insistent feature of his language in the initial chapters, is the frequent use of guesswork; I
suppose , perhaps and I conjectured. The effect of this style is to focus our attention on the
narration itself, as Lockwood struggles to translate his impressions for us. Bront #235;s use of
repeated guesswork and hesitancy allows us to remember that the novel is being relayed to us by a
struggling, foreign observer. Due to this uncertainty, only a small portion of the story filters through
to the reader, and we may expect that the effect of the narrative is rather economical. `Nicolas Marsh
however argues differently in his essay `Analysing Wuthering Heights , as he claims that this lack
of information paradoxically has the opposite effect, and that it creates an unlimited, obscured
environment for the story itself to be encompassed within.
Nelly s language, on the other hand, can be vividly descriptive, as when she describes Cathy on

she claims Heathcliff s naturally reserved disposition was exaggerated into an almost idiotic excess
of unsociable moroseness. However, once again the narrator s character interferes

The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz Duddy is No Monster
I think you re rotten, says Yvette at the end of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, I wish you

of Mordecai Richler s tale. At best, we question whether Duddy has learned anything during his
apprenticeship; at worst, we accuse him of taking a tremendous step backwards, of becoming an
utterly contemptible human being. When Duddy steals money from his friend and admirer, Virgil,

Duddy has been told that he will never succeed, but he is resilient. With the Boy Wonder as his

he was a lot like the Boy Wonder before he had made his name (62). The audience is made aware,

Appropriation In Art History
Appropriation in art and art history refers to the practice of artists using pre existing objects or
images in their art with little transformation of the original (Tate, no date). Artists have been
appropriating for many centuries and tend to use the most iconic of masterpieces from the past and
make them more contemporary for today s style. The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinciis one of the
greatest examples of this act. It is one of the most famous and well known paintings ever created;
however the piece has been manipulated by other artists, so much that the meaning behind the
original is indefinite. If a piece of which is so recognisable in our society be stolen from other

This is a representation of the Marilyn Monroe Piece by Yu Youhan produced in the Chinese

Michael H. Stone in The Anatomy of Evil states that there are several factors that influence a serial
killer s behavior. The factors that may influence behavior are presented in a nature versus nurture
model with occasional factors falling into a category of mixed and/or unknown origins (201). The
factors that Stone considers to pertain to an individual s natural environment include mental illness
that is coupled with psychosis, schizophrenia, manic depression, autism, and Aspergers Syndrome.
Also included in the list of natural factors are mental illnesses without psychosis such as ADD and
ADHD, alcoholism, epilepsy, and an inordinate sexual drive (201). Personality disorders are
considered to be inherent to an individual and are therefore considered to be a part of an individual
s natural environment; personality disorders include being antisocial, psychopathic, schizoid,
sadistic, paranoid, and/or impulsive aggressive (201). Stone identifies nurture factors as parental
physical/sexual/verbal abuse, parental abandonment and/or neglect, the loss of a parent, absence of
a father, separation and/or divorce of the parental unit before the child is 16, and brain disease or
damage (201). The factors that Stone considers to be attributed to mixed or unknown origins

Civil War Vs Ww2
War was and is a threatening idea in our society. Lives are lost. Families are heartbroken. And
people around the world still haven t grasped the concept that war causes more war. Yet, several
wars in our past led to something greater. Three wars that have had a major impact on the way we
live are the Civil War, World War 1 and World War 2.
The American Civil war took place in the early 1860s. During the presidential election of 1860,
Republicans opposed slavery and the expansion of slavery in to U.S territories. The Republican
Party was mainly situated in the north. But the cotton producing, southern states embraced slavery
and formed the Confederacy. The war began on April 12, 1861, after the confederate troops

There were two sides. The Allied Powers, which consisted of the U.S., France, Italy, Russia, the
United Kingdom, Serbia, Australia and several others and the Central Powers. Germany, Austria
Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria were all part of the Central Powers. On the twenty
eighth of July, the Austro Hungarian Empire declared war on Serbia. Then, when Russia went to
defend Serbia, Germany took control of Belgium and Luxembourg, who were both neutral.
Following the invasion, Germany began to move towards France. This led Britain to declare war
on Germany. Meanwhile, Russia had successfully stopped the Austro Hungarians but they were
soon subdued by German forces. During the November of the same year, the Ottoman Empire
joined the Central Powers. The following year, Italy joined the Allied Powers and previously
neutral Bulgaria joined the Central Powers. Romania joined the Allies in 1916 and the U.S. joined
the Allied Powers in 1917, after Germany sank the RMS Lusitania. After three years of war, the
Russian government collapsed and gave Germany the upper hand. The victory came to an end in
1918, after the Western Allies successfully invaded and drove back Germany. Eventually, the
German and Austro Hungarian Empires surrendered, bringing the war to an end. After the war, the
League of nations was formed with an aim to prevent international conflict. The newly formed

Turning Point Of The American Revolution
Overall, the American Revolution is not a massive turning point in our history socially. It did not
make any major changes to the social structure, how people were treated, and local laws. It only
really exacerbated issues that were inevitable to change, such as voting rights and african american
s rights. The only real change was the new political system. The American Revolutionwas a turning
point in our history, but not one that should be blown out of proportion as many current day people
have.
Most of the people in America before the revolution had no reason to revolt. In fact, nearly в…”
of all colonists were either neutral or against going to war with England. They had no reason to
escape England s bond. The only people who were set to gain anything from the revolution was
the elites and the wealthy of the time. In fact, most of those whom were loyal to the Revolution
either kept or gained great swathes of land, as Lord Fairfax had (84). Also, most of the wealthy
would buy in so to say by purchasing government bonds that would exponentially grow value as
the nation would grow in the future. Not only for these reasons did the wealthy prosper. They
were also promised a head at the table when forming the new nation. As Zinn points out on page
90, the rich were in a position to start writing business friendly laws that would benefit them. The
American Revolution is usually seen as a revolution of the people, but it is quite obvious that it was
simply an orchestrated coup

The Impact Of Media On Children s Life
Introduction Socialisation is the process an individual experiences to become a unique
individual and an active member of society. Through socialisation, individuals accept and
acquire beliefs, roles, motives, values and behaviours. The process of socialisation is influenced
by many factors including: family, school, peers, location and the media. The impact the media
has on socialisation, particularly in Western countries, is immense, as it has the ability to
influence ideas, opinions, attitudes and images to many people. The media is a macro agent in
socialisation, as it presents people with ideas and generalised views of society from beyond
their micro worlds. Family is another important agent of socialisation, as for most children, their
family is responsible for their initial socialisation process. Families have a major and long
lasting effect on children s lives. The home and the family is the first environment of learning
for the child, where a child s first acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values begins.
School is another important agent of socialisation. The official purpose of school is to teach
knowledge and life skills. However, students don t just learn from the academic curriculum. In
school, we also learn skills to prepare us to become functional members of society. The focus of
this report is to compare how the agents of socialisation have changed over time. The primary

The Standards Of Iso Standards
1.Foreword
Over the last few decades, there has been an increase in companies following a set of recognised
standards to make sure quality standards are maintained across the board. There are different
standards relating to different aspects of running a business. Out of these standards, ISO 9000 series
of standards are recognised some of the best known standards1. There are 4 standards within the
ISO 9000 series; namely the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 9000:2008, ISO 9004:2009, ISO 19011:2011.1
This report will give an overview of the ISO 9001 series of standards which gives a guideline on the
requirements of a quality management system1 and will help this manufacturing company in its
Quality Assurance procedures.
Many organisations across the world claim that certain quality programs, such as the ISO 9001,
improve management practices whilst also improving workers safety and elimination of hazardous
practices5.
2.Origins of IS09000/ISO9001
The origins of ISO standards lie as far back as the 1940 s, where the competition between
companies was picking up. In today s competitive market, quality assurance has become one of the
most important aspects in determining which business is able to offer the best products.
ISO was established under the United Nations as an agency in 19472 3. At that time, membership
was small; however, it now exceeds membership from 160 countries3. Over the decades, ISO
standards have increased and cover most aspect of quality assurance in the world today.

A View From The Bridge Hero Essay
The Questionable Protagonist
The protagonist typically is the leading character of a story who the reader empathizes with and
wants to succeed. Usually, this character bares strong, positive traits. However, in the case of A
View from the Bridge by Arthur Miller, the protagonist Eddie can be difficult at times to agree
with. In 1950 s New York, Eddie, a hard working longshoreman, lives with his wife Beatrice and
his niece Catherine, who they raised. Catherine is a smart young woman with a close relationship
with her uncle, even though he still views her as a baby. Beatrice lets a couple of her cousins

When Eddie and Beatrice are waiting for Rodolpho and Catherine to get home after a movie,
Eddie goes down to the street and talks to them trying to figure out why Rodolpho had her out
so late at night. When Rodolpho leaves, Eddie begins talking to Catherine and says that he is
upset that Rodolpho did not to ask for permission to take her out. He goes on and says that
Rodolpho does not respect Catherine and Eddie tries to split the couple apart with the idea that
Rodolpho is only interested in Catherine to become a citizen. This is Eddie s first attempt to
split Catherine and Rodolpho apart. This is an unsettling thought because the audience does not
suspect that Rodolpho s feelings for Catherine are in any way fake. Eddie becomes very torn
apart when she begins to date Rodolpho. He becomes convinced that something is not right with
him and tries to intervene. When this plan does not work, he goes to a lawyer to try in hopes that
the law can separate them. Of course, there is no law and Eddie becomes frustrated. When he gets
drunk, he goes back to the house and tries to kick Rodolpho out of the house. He is jealous that
Rodolpho is getting all of Catherine s attention and the fact that he kisses her on the mouth leaves
an uneasy feeling on the audience, adding onto Eddie s unsightly protagonist image. When
Catherine says that she is going to go with Rodolpho, Eddie becomes extremely angry and

The Significance And Meaning Of Dreams
The Significance and Meaning of Dreams
Dreams are an experience that we all share as human beings, yet are also completely unique to
each and every one of us. For these reasons, dreams have puzzled man since the beginning of time.
Around the early 1900 s, a man by the name of Sigmund Freud pioneered the psychology of
dreams through many of his theories. His ideas are a milestone in dream psychology and are still
used today. As dream psychology developed, more and more theories were proposed and we
now have a better understanding about dreams. However, since dreams vary to person to person,
we have not completely discovered all there is to discover. The most difficult and complex
questions to answer are why we dream, and why we dream what we dream. Many psychologists
have developed theories as to why we dream. Sigmund Freud, neurologist and founder of
psychoanalysis, believed dreams were the manifestation of repressed desires. During the time, it
was being widely accepted that dreams helped illustrate the relationship of the dynamic unconscious
to consciousness (Blum, n.p.). Other psychologists also believed in the relationship between the
unconscious and conscious mind. For example, Carl Jung believed dreams were a way to gain
knowledge into the subconscious mind (Smith, n.p.). Jung developed the theory of collective
unconscious. This theory was based on the idea that the collective unconscious was shared between
all humans, and therefore also the source of all

The Importance Of Media Censorship
The government and the media must be able to publish uncensored information to the public about
critical state issues, involving civil liberties and societal issues, for the collective well being and

it is not only justifiable but essential the public is provided with immediate, accurate and

centuries, because of globalization and the increasing interdependence among other nations has

Hybrid Energy Systems ( Hres )
Hybrid Energy system (HRES) combines two or more renewable energy sources used together to
provide increased system efficiency as well as greater balance in energy supply. It becomes
popular to remote area for power generation due to advances in renewable energy technologies and
subsequent rise in prices of petroleum products. Hybrid energy system is an excellent solution for
electrification of remote rural areas where the grid extension is difficult and not economical. [29]
Such system incorporates a combination of one or several renewable energysources such as solar

hybrid energy system based rural remote area electrification will offer a quick, economic and
reliable answer to the rural household s need for power, especially, for those of light duty

proper mix can be arrived at only after a careful technical, economic, and socio economic study of
the region involved. In order to evaluate techno economics of any hybrid energy system

Kevin Conroy, the long time voice of Batman, has also been confirmed to come back as the Dark Knight. The news was confirmed to Comic Book Resources in a statement from both actors. The chance to work once again with Kevin Conroy, my favorite Batman, in what some consider the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true for me, Hamill said, and Conroy also shared his admiration for his costar. Tonight I can write... is one of the best poems written by the great Pablo Neruda. He was known as a poet when he was 10 years old. He wrote in many different styles, including passionate love poems such this chosen poem. This is one of the greatest poem I ve ever came across. Pablo really expressed his love and feelings towards his no longer loved one. Reading this poem showed me how loyal and strong he is as well as remembering all the memories whether they were a happy memories or sad ones. This poem also shows the reader from the beginning, how their relationship was kind of great and then how things got escalated quickly and the conflict that he was fighting between himself when he couldn t forget her. ... • 5. As discussed numerous times throughout our class,... As discussed numerous times throughout our class, classifying events in one lifetime as normal or abnormal is nearly impossible. Every person has a different story and a unique life filled with entirely different memories, events and emotions. The idea of what is normal changes with several contexts, including time, culture, gender etc. Every generation experiences the same basic timeline, including a few major milestones (education, moving out, marriage, having children etc.), but when a person experiences those events depends on changes in the economic status or availability of resources available. These changes can cause a population to be pushed to go through different stages of life earlier or later than their ancestors.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They have less pressure to conceive during a certain time because their bodies give them the ability to procreate in later years. In all, because of one s historical time period, cultural subgroup, gender, and other contexts, one s conception of normality differs. I interviewed Neda Alvieri, my seventy two year old Nana (grandmother) from Croatia. Nana was born on February 18th, 1942 in Poljana, Croatia, where she still lives today. She was raised with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters by her mother and father in their village. It was her responsibility on the village to help tend to the animals, crops, and when she was in her teens, help her mother do basic housework. Religion was and still is an important part of my Nana s life, being a devoted Christian. Every week, the family would walk with the rest of the village to the local church and pray. She enjoyed singing and knitting growing up, and I am actually lucky enough to have a few things that she knitted for me. She never went to school when she was a kid. By the time she was sixteen, she was married to my Dido, (grandfather). It was an arranged marriage by her parents and his. By 1960, when she was 18, she had her first child, my Teta (aunt) Lucjiana. At this time, she had moved away from her family to live with her husband. Dido Bruno never had a proper education either. He was a carpenter. Some of the houses he built are still standing today. • 6. Marilyn Monroe Psychosocial Analysis Essay This research paper presents a psychoanalytic analysis of Marilyn Monroe. Psychosocial development includes two latter stages of Erikson s theory. Omnibus analysis discusses personality factors which include the following: abilities, talents, and temperament, family members and cultural tradition, sexual behavior, cognitive style, affect and impulses, motives, attitudes and impulses, and relationships to principle figures. Erikson s later stages of psychosocial development included intimacy versus isolation for the young adult, and generativity versus self absorption for the middle adult. Marilyn Monroe failed to encounter true intimacy and she became isolated. The youth who is not sure of her identity does not achieve interpersonal intimacy and is thrown into acts of intimacy that are promiscuous and are without true fusion. Marilyn was unsure of who she was, actress was her only identity. She maintained her isolation through a series of idealized and exhibitionistic relationships (Erikson, 1968, pp. 135 137; Chessick, 1983, pp. 161 170).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Man needs to be cared for and to be needed. Marilyn remained focused on unmet needs for care. She also failed at having children which reduced her chances of applying the generativity drive to her offspring. Generativity also includes creativity and productivity; however, Marilyn s abilities remained focused on self tendencies. When there is a failure to develop generativity, this leads to an expansion of ego interests and a libidinal investment; regression to an obsessive need for pseudointimacy takes place with a sense of boredom, stagnation, and impoverishment. Marilyn was described as appearing bored and she demonstrated continual libidinal drive and pseudointimate relationships (Erikson, 1968, pp. 135 137; Chessick, 1983, pp. ... The good thing is, music has the ability to provide a vast variety of sounds that everyone can appreciate in some form or fashion. I attended the Festival Fanfare Classical Music Concert on June 14, 2016, in Hattiesburg, MS. This was the first time that I ever attended a classical musicevent. Not knowing if I particularly liked classical music, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed listening to the three instruments being played: the trumpet, the piano, and the organ. The first instrument that was played was the trumpet, by Ryan Anthony. Right away, I noticed the bright timbre and allegro tempo it possessed. Next ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the knowledge adaption pathways executives consider knowledge as most important for operational efficiency. They believe it s hard to obtain from external sources and they have confidence in their own knowledge but limited trust in workers knowledge. They are scan ning intensively for knowledge and personally they had a greater share in knowledge work. Firms on that pathway are adapting knowledge and come more likely to an incremental development. In contrast described before in the knowledge augmentation pathways leaders have a strong confidence on own knowledge, on workers capabilities and they believe their know ledge is distinctive and hard to imitate for competitors. Therefore they are scanning pro actively and engaging others to knowledge work. These companies use uncommon know ledge through augmentation. Radical innovations are more likely in those companies. This audio of Andy Stanley is at the top of the list. It is interesting that this will be our writing topic for the week, because as I listened my thoughts were on the problem. As the presentation of Andy, I asked myself this question, what bowl of stew will it take for me to hire the guy that has what appears to be shady (tapping his life shadows) ethics as it relates to sharing proprietary information? Will my shadow for advancement be over whelming to the point I will have a lapse in my judgment or in my character and hire this guy for my personal gain? Does the most powerful person in the room come into play as it relates to this hire? If yes, how will I give this power to others to make a team decision instead of a personal decision? First, use active voice and expressive verbs to describe the specific things that you have done. These can highlight your ability and skills, and spice up your resume to make it stand out. For example, if you were an administrative assistant, you might want to use words such as scheduled and coordinated . You can use them by writing Scheduled and coordinated appointments. The period leading up to the Civil War, however, did not see a society ready to change, and thus, little work was done towards the women s rights movement. According to Women s Civil War History author Mary Elizabeth Massey, women s rights activists before the Civil War were small in numbers, but opinionated (qtd in Hall 1 2). Dogmatic women s rights activists were stuck in a world that deemed women as inferior, which created a society ripe for change; change that would make significant headway during the Civil War through the creation of the female run United States Sanitary Commission. The USSC was a civilian operation unlike any other that aimed to coordinate supplies, relief, and medicine during the Civil War while simultaneously empowering women to leave the domestic sphere. Founded in 1861 and staffed with at least 3,200 paid female nurses and hundreds of additional volunteers, the USSC was, according to the Commission itself, a grand system of sanitary care and succor, (Williams 136, The USSC iii). However, societal views did not change overnight as the women of the USSC worked throughout the war and into the years after to erase the gender divide. Overcoming considerable opposition to its creation, the USSC mobilized women through organization and work experience, changing their political standing and public perceptions of ... After reading Jonathan Kozols, The Shame of the Nation, equality is nonexistent within the schools he has gone to, and has been employed through. Minority schools being his main focus, he discusses the inequalities these students endure and truly opens up your eyes to just how awful these minority schools have it. Jonathan Kozol is successful in his writing of The Shame of the Nation, and makes himself a voice for these minority schools that are denied of their voices. The way Kozol chooses to organize his book is very effective. It has a topical way of organization with a touch of chronological usage through the book. Instead of just starting right into his points that he strives to make, he begins the book with a little history about himself and how he ended up in the position of traveling to these different schools. Hence, we continuously keep on thinking, but at the cost of higher energy requirements. The effect of this style is to focus our attention on the narration itself, as Lockwood struggles to translate his impressions for us. Bront #235;s use of repeated guesswork and hesitancy allows us to remember that the novel is being relayed to us by a struggling, foreign observer. Due to this uncertainty, only a small portion of the story filters through to the reader, and we may expect that the effect of the narrative is rather economical. `Nicolas Marsh however argues differently in his essay `Analysing Wuthering Heights , as he claims that this lack of information paradoxically has the opposite effect, and that it creates an unlimited, obscured environment for the story itself to be encompassed within. Possibly the most horrid thing human beings can do to one other, other than dispatching each .Slavery was the most controversial topic and the greatest issue of the 1800 s. This spawned many fractious people, groups, and rebellions throughout the United States. Inevitably, when trouble arises there are also heroes who stand to face those challenges. To fight their oppressors and stand for what they believe is right. As just recently mentioned, Brown was called many things by many different people However, If Brown needed to be summed up into one description he would be described as an ignorant liberator. In David Reynolds Freedom s Martyr Reynolds explains why Brown is captured and the reason of his raiding on Harper s Ferry. In this passage Brown s goal of the raid was to entice nearby slaves in the south into rebellion and flee with those he freed. The dramatist and poet Samuel Beckett, born in 1906 in Ireland, can definitely be addressed as one of the most influential writers of the twentieth century. Samuel Beckett has been attributed the label of the last modernist as well as the first post modernist. His plays are filled with dark humour and absurdities, Beckett s play Waiting for Godot 1, which he composed between 1948 1949, is a good example of his minimalistic style and stage setting. (14). By playing their games they simultaneously create meaning and make choices. The men frequently find themselves in situations in which they must make a choice; the most compelling choice being to stay put and continue to wait for Godot. The distracting games create meaning, in a way a meaning for both of their existence, however their games are also being used by Vladimir and Estragon to escape the reality of the situation; to escape this anguish. Essay on The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz Duddy is No Monster I think you re rotten, says Yvette at the end of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, I wish you were dead (Richler 318). This sentiment is echoed throughout a substantial amount of the criticism of Mordecai Richler s tale. At best, we question whether Duddy has learned anything during his apprenticeship; at worst, we accuse him of taking a tremendous step backwards, of becoming an utterly contemptible human being. Although he presents an image of success, and Max Kravitz s tales make him out to be the ultimate accomplished businessman, Jerry Dingleman is a corrupt, cruel person. For his entire life, Duddy has been told that he will never succeed, but he is resilient. With the Boy Wonder as his example, Duddy intends to prove everyone wrong. He liked to think, in fact, that point for point he was a lot like the Boy Wonder before he had made his name (62). The audience is made aware, fairly early on, that the Boy Wonder is a crook, but this information eludes Duddy until far into the story, when Duddy has already achieved some measure of success by his own means, part of it by the trickery he mastered during his high school years, but now that he has matured quite a bit, also by sheer hard work. Duddy fights a continual uphill battle for success; he wants to be someone of whom his father is proud, like his brother Lennie, or the Boy Wonder himself. Appropriation In Art History Appropriation in art and art history refers to the practice of artists using pre existing objects or images in their art with little transformation of the original (Tate, no date). Artists have been appropriating for many centuries and tend to use the most iconic of masterpieces from the past and make them more contemporary for today s style. The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinciis one of the greatest examples of this act. It is one of the most famous and well known paintings ever created; however the piece has been manipulated by other artists, so much that the meaning behind the original is indefinite. He used Mao as part of a memorial as he played a big part in his political life. By doing this, it changes the meaning of the painting and Mao becomes the centre of attention and the main topic of the piece. I am now going to discuss Cindy Sherman and her film scenes. The Significance And Meaning Of Dreams The Significance and Meaning of Dreams Dreams are an experience that we all share as human beings, yet are also completely unique to each and every one of us. For these reasons, dreams have puzzled man since the beginning of time. Around the early 1900 s, a man by the name of Sigmund Freud pioneered the psychology of dreams through many of his theories. His ideas are a milestone in dream psychology and are still used today. As dream psychology developed, more and more theories were proposed and we now have a better understanding about dreams. However, since dreams vary to person to person, we have not completely discovered all there is to discover. The most difficult and complex questions to answer are why we dream, and why we dream what we dream. Many psychologists have developed theories as to why we dream. Sigmund Freud, neurologist and founder of psychoanalysis, believed dreams were the manifestation of repressed desires. During the time, it was being widely accepted that dreams helped illustrate the relationship of the dynamic unconscious to consciousness (Blum, n.p.). Other psychologists also believed in the relationship between the unconscious and conscious mind. For example, Carl Jung believed dreams were a way to gain knowledge into the subconscious mind (Smith, n.p.). Jung developed the theory of collective unconscious. • 51. Hybrid Energy Systems ( Hres ) Hybrid Energy system (HRES) combines two or more renewable energy sources used together to provide increased system efficiency as well as greater balance in energy supply. It becomes popular to remote area for power generation due to advances in renewable energy technologies and subsequent rise in prices of petroleum products. Hybrid energy system is an excellent solution for electrification of remote rural areas where the grid extension is difficult and not economical. [29] Such system incorporates a combination of one or several renewable energysources such as solar photovoltaic, wind energy, micro hydro and may be conventional generators for backup. Hybrid energy system has found much wider dimension than individual stand alone renewable /conventional systems for rural remote electrification. It is a known fact that the application of hybrid energy system based rural remote area electrification will offer a quick, economic and reliable answer to the rural household s need for power, especially, for those of light duty appliances. However, the planning of rural remote area electrification is not always easy and a proper mix can be arrived at only after a careful technical, economic, and socio economic study of the region involved. In order to evaluate techno economics of any hybrid energy system configuration, it is necessary to develop a proper model for optimization and simulation. A range of hybrid configurations are possible, however, the choice must suit the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 52. Narrative Essay On Emergency Medical Technician My heart was going to fly out of my chest. To pass my emergency medical technician (EMT) program, I need to complete two clinical s while filling out patient care reports. I knew my procedures, but would I miss a step? I knew my terminology, but would I mix them up? Would I just be in everyone s way? I studied nonstop, aced my test, and ran through every skills lab I could. Yet, I did not feel prepared. I was going to play a part in what happens to the patient. But I was ecstatic to test my ability. My nerves were quickly forgotten as I walked to the emergency entrance with large red letters spelling EMERGENCY. I expected a large entrance considering that they are working to create a level one trauma center. As I walked through the single sliding glass door, I recognized two of the four workers at the front desk running the prehospital stroke test. One lady, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After introducing ourselves, Rachel told me she was going to have me do any procedure that I was qualified for. I began to panic as I attempted to recall all the skills my instructors demonstrated. Grabbing the iPad, we began to walk to the first room. The monitor lit the dark room as we pulled the curtain to the side. The man I walked in earlier laid motionless with labored breathing. After reading his chart, not only was he a type one diabetic, he had gone on a four day meth binge and could not remember the last time he ate. Due to him not eating, he was experiencing an insulin shock. Can you get the vital signs while I find the glucometer Rachel asked as she rushed out the door. I poked at the monitor to find the screen I needed. Heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels (SpO2), and blood pressure popped up. After the monitor read 112, I knew he was experiencing tachycardia, a sign of hyperglycemia. Rachel returned with a glucometer three times the size of the ones from my ... The right atrium receives de oxygenated blood from the superior and inferior vena cava. The two atria are separated by a septum into the left atrium and the right. The left of which receives oxygenated bloodfrom the left and right pulmonary veins. The heart is divided into four chambers that are connected together by the valves of the heart, the lower two chambers in the heart are called ventricles and are separated by a septum into the left and the right ventricle.
