3. Explain why the plaintiff s disparate treatment claim succeeded.
The disparate treatment doctrine requires a plaintiff to demonstrate that an employer has treated
some people less favorably than others because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Three provisions required to prove disparate treatment are (1) the plaintiff must establish a prima
facie case of racial discrimination; (2) the employer must articulate some legitimate,
nondiscriminatory reason for its actions, and (3) the plaintiff must prove that the stated reason was
in fact pretextual. Proof of discriminatory motive is critical and may be inferred from the mere fact
of differences in treatment. Proof may also be inferred from the falsity of the employer s
explanation for the treatment, (Walsh, 2010).
Mr. Dunlap successfully established a prima facie case of disparate treatment by meeting the
above 3 provisions; (1) he was African American; (2) he was qualified for the position sought;

The first step is to sum the digits or numbers starting with the life and going back to one. For
example, an asset with a life of 5 would have a sum of digits as follows: 5+ 4+ 3 +2 + 1 = 15
To find the percentage for each year divide the year s digit by the sum. In the example above the
percentage would be calculated as follows:

Assessing Healthcare services is an important factor for individuals in rural areas in order to
decrease physical and emotional stress. In many rural areas, there are barriers that one may face
such as, lack of transportation, shortage of physicians in the area and lack of health care services.
With these barriers, rural communities face more sickness and deaths. In this paper, the author will
discuss factors that sustain health care services in rural communities and how to make it better with
a proposed solution that may assist with this issue.
Factors that contribute to sustaining the issue, what factors may ameliorate the issue.
When one looks at the barriers that rural communities face with the issue of health care services,
there are a few to discuss. First, lack of transportation is one barrier to look at. In rural areas,
there are residents that may not have a car, have funds to put gas in the car, or due to distance in a
rural community, have the means to travel that far due to their health condition. In a qualitative
study done on barriers that patients with chronic disease face in rural areas, between the years of
2002 to 2012, geographical distance was one of the main barriers that the patients faced. This issue
caused many patients to not seek healthcare increasing their vulnerability to possibly decrease their
health, according to (Brundisini, Giacomini, DeJean, et al. 2013).

Before the Russo Japanese War, the Japanese and the Russians did not have contact with each other
until the 1800s. The Japanese did not want European influence during the beginning of the 1600s.
