In Peter Shaffer s play, Equus, one of the main characters is a psychiatrist named Martin Dysart
who specializes with adolescents. The play begins with a seventeen year old boy named Alan
Strang and a horse named Nugget. Alan is showing great affection towards the horse. Suddenly, a
man in his forties is shown holding a cigarette. This man is Martin Dysart, the first character to

The position on the issue is that Congress should close the Guantanamo Bay detention center due to
lack of constitutional rights. In my opinion, these detainees should be subjected to protections of
the Constitutions even though they are enemies of the country. The detainees should not be held
indefinitely without being convicted of a crime. There could be innocent people being detained
suffering from the inhumane conditions. I believe every detainee should be tried, and found guilty
of crime before being imprisoned. However, this conviction should be achieved with the detainee
having legal representation. In the movie, Mandvi did not have legal representation to assist him
proving his innocence nor was he allowed to review the classified documents the tribunal officials

brought the US out of a massive hole of poverty by creating jobs and creating regulations to help
the economy stabilize. The Stock Market Crash of 1929 can be blamed for the start of the Great
Depression, after millions went into panic when their investments fell through. After Woodrow
Wilson failed to help the working class in a worsening economy, Americans looked for new hope in
Franklin D. Roosevelt, elected in 1933, to help them come out of this terrible depression. He
responded by creating numerous administrations and programs over the course of 5 years. These
programs were designed to create unskilled labor and support the poor to help stimulate the
economy again. His plan succeeded up to the second world war, where economy started to boom
when a higher work force was needed. The first step Roosevelt took to create economic stability
was to create jobs. Administrations such as the Public Works Administration created millions of
jobs for the unemployed, including building many bridges, hospitals, schools, and more (New Deal
Public Works Administration projects). The Civilian Conservation Corps also created unskilled
labor such as planting trees and building state parks, which in turn helped the environment and

This paper will critically analyze the idea of culture identity genocide through the case study of
Turkish state violence against Kurdish identity post 1980. This identity assimilation, or cultural
assassination, is examined through the repressive political strategies and implementations brought
about by the enactment of Turkish Martial Law in 1980. This Emergency Legislation gave rise to
organized Turkish state security forces and repeated violations of international human rights law.

There are four different types of methods to be used by an occupational therapy to treat their clients
with motor control problems to enable clients functional movement, and independence. These
methods are Rood, Brunnstrom, Neurodevelopmental(NDT) also known as Bobath s, and
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). These four methods have similarities according
to their different perspectives on how clients are going to be treated with abnormal tones. These
four methods are very helpful for OTs/OTAs to treat their clients. Examples of these dysfunctions
are abnormal muscle tones such as; rigidity antagonist and agonist are both working together,
spasticityhypertonic; and flaccidity Hypotonic, as well as different abnormal reactions of the client
such as; inability to do righting reactions, equilibrium reactions; and protective extension reactions.
There are also two types of abnormal reflexesthat the client might manifest if they have a CNS
dysfunction and those are Asymmetrical Tonic Reflexes for an Infant, and Deep Tendon Reflex
for
an adult. Incoordination of Dorsal Column, Basal Ganglia, and Cerebellar are also examples of
CNS Dysfunctions that the client might have. Using these 4 approaches, such as rood s,
brunnstrom s, bobath s and pnf, will help reduce all of those abnormal patterns and normalize tone,
posture, and balance.
