As Franklin Roosevelt began to have more internationalist views, Americans, under no

the ancestors of our families to be taken by surprise of the many actions we took. Many different
tribes had established long lasting communities in the 18th century. Such as the Chinook, Salish
and Nez Perce etc. The land was spread throughout the cascades through the Rocky Mountains.
Years of torment and battle began from the Spanish and British explorers looking for the land.
They searched for what they could not find at home, most of them having no idea what to expect
when they arrived. In 1792, Captain George Vancouver was the first explorer to sail the waters of
Puget Sound, claiming British sovereignty over the entire region. But he was not the only captain
to have found the Pacific Northwest. Captain Robert Gray found the Columbia Riverand soon after
Lewis and Clark made their way down the Rockies and the river as well. Many different explorers
wanted to capture and take control of the land they didn t own. They knew that the task was not

hall, addiction centers, etc.), what changes we can make as a society and as care givers so that
this issue will get better, and how to help them change themselves for the improvement of
themselves and our society. Kipnis, is attempting to help solve the problem of how people
(teachers, counselors, parents, etc.) can better help young boys in need of support (angry,

turn, make them continue to do these hurtful things. Punishments that bullies receive are not harsh
enough and need to be reconsidered if we want a change in our lives.
Bullies not getting punished leads more students to get involved in these horrible acts due to peer

In his book, Neuromancer, the environment description is that of cyberspace, where the central
character, Case is portrayed as an expert computer hacker who is recruited by a character named
Amritage, who is one of those characters that are not disclosed to public eye, just recruiting the
people to finish their job. Amritage is seen to be in a partnership with Molly, who jointly assign a

The Hobbit is a fantasy novel, by J.R.R. Tolkien that tells the story of an unexpected story. Rather

predictable, mild mannered hobbit. He lives in his cozy home and avoids anything out of the
ordinary until he is presented with the opportunity of an adventure with Gandalf the wizard along

hissing and cursing; Bilbo behind going as softly as a hobbit can (85). Once Gollum gets angry,

the dwarves in their silk, leaving Bilbo (with the ring) to find a way to save everyone. Bilbo
shows his selflessness at this point when the novel says, Bilbo saw that the moment had come
when he must do something. (159) and then later continues to say, In this way, [Bilbo and Fili,
