Children were rushed to safety from the bloodthirsty mobs. These were the New York City Draft
Riots of 1863, and colored and rich people weren t safe from the protests that the poor and
working class had against the highly controversial draft (Bernstein 34). These violent riots had to
be stopped, and someone had to come up with an idea to put the crowds at rest. The New York City
Draft Riots of 1863 were stopped when the Union government decided to compromise by stopping
the draft and not receiving more troops for the civil war.
The Draft Riots began on July 13 of 1863 and lasted for five days (Amato and Meisel). The civil

to fall more. The quantity will increase from Q1to Q2 because there is more gasoline in the area.

This increase in tax will initially be paid for by the suppliers. The prices will rise at about the same
rate since all suppliers will be paying the same tax. This will cause the price in all gasoline stations
to increase there prices by at least 50Вў. Since the price has increased the quantity demanded will
decrease. This is shown in the law of demand. Since the quantity demanded has decreased this
means that there will be less gasoline sold because people will not want to pay the high prices
for gasoline. The majority of the tax increase will be paid for by both the consumer and the

Based on statistics from 2015, there are currently 400,000 orphans within the United States s foster
system. An orphan would be described as a child whose parents or guardians are deceased. For the
young orphan that face the traumatic experience of having or perhaps even watching their parents
die, may possibly possess serious psychological problems. Throughout this research paper, there will
be several descriptions of common disorders or mental illnesses that an orphan may experience
from being separated from their birth parents or guardians. The first disorder common in orphan
children and young adults is attachment disorder. Attachment disorder can be described as an
psychological illness found in children that have issues with attachment.
