Campus Life Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Campus Life" can be both a challenging and rewarding task.
The difficulty arises from the need to encapsulate the multifaceted aspects of college life within
a limited word count while maintaining coherence and depth. Campus life encompasses a wide
range of experiences, from academic pursuits to social interactions, extracurricular activities, and
personal growth. Balancing these elements requires careful consideration and a strategic
approach to ensure that the essay effectively conveys the essence of the campus experience.
One challenge is deciding which aspects of campus life to highlight and delve into, as
attempting to cover everything may result in a superficial treatment of each element. Narrowing
down the focus while maintaining a comprehensive overview can be a delicate balancing act.
Additionally, conveying personal experiences and perspectives in a way that resonates with the
reader while avoiding clichГ©s and generic observations adds another layer of complexity.
Moreover, the challenge lies in presenting a unique perspective that distinguishes the essay from
others on the same topic. Given the popularity of campus life as a subject, the risk of falling into
common tropes and generalizations is ever-present. Crafting an essay that stands out requires a
creative and thoughtful approach, often involving introspection and the ability to articulate
personal insights in a compelling manner.
However, despite the difficulties, writing about campus life also offers the opportunity for self-
reflection and expression. It allows the writer to explore their own journey, growth, and
experiences within the unique environment of a college or university. The process of composing
such an essay can be a valuable exercise in introspection, helping the writer gain a deeper
understanding of the impact of campus life on their personal and academic development.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on campus life poses its challenges, it is also an
opportunity for self-discovery and creative expression. Successfully navigating these challenges
requires careful consideration, a clear focus, and a genuine reflection on one's experiences. The
end result, when executed effectively, can offer a vivid and insightful portrayal of the
multifaceted nature of campus life. For those seeking assistance with such essays or exploring a
variety of writing services, it's worth noting that HelpWriting.net provides a platform where

Colosseum Essay
Architecture of the ancient Roman Empire is one of the most fascinating of all time.
Around the time of A.D. 70 72, Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian Dynasty instructed
the architecture of the massive, ancient amphitheater, the Colosseum. Titus, the son
of Vespasian, made the Colosseum known as the Flavian Amphitheater in year A.D.
80. This lavished construction hosted battles, gladiatorial games, wild animal fights
and more. After four centuries of active use, it was used as a source of building
materials until the 18th century. Later, two thirds of the original Colosseumhas been
destroyed over time, the amphitheater remains a remarkable landmark. The
Colosseum is an iconic symbol of Romeand its long, tumultuous history. The
Colosseum wasn t only used for re enactment; the arena was also used for naval
battles, concerts, games, and plays. The Colosseum was and is known throughout the
whole world for the its majesty and magnificence. This building still stands today in
the heart of the now Italian capital, Rome. It attracts thousands of tourists daily and is
one of the most famous monuments ever built. Before the Colosseum was even built,
there was only one small amphitheater in the whole city of Rome. Even after the...

Unfortunately, the building began degrading as time went on. Throughout the 400
years, the Arena as had many changes, additions and repairs; and in 217, the upper
floors went on fire because of a thunderbolt. This caused the Colosseum to be
closed for a period of five years, during which the games were held in a nearby
circus. There were also many earthquakes in 442 and 470 that badly damaged the
Arena. The last gladiatorial combat was held in the year 404. Gradually the taste of
the public had changed, but the main reason for the end of the games was the military
and financial crisis of the western part of the empire, together with the many
invasions Italy suffered
The Vs. Static Budgeting Essay
When we compare the static budget with the actual results, there has been a
decrease of 2000 cart rentals, which cause $50,000 unfavorable variance.
Moreover, there is an unfavorable variance of $200 from the static budget and this
is due to the increase in the Labor cost. But when it comes to the gas and oil there
has been a decrease, which cause $1100 favorable variance. So the difference
between the actual operating profits and the static budgeting for April is $49100
($50,000U + $200U $1100F). In my opinion almost of all the differences between
the actual operating profits and the static budgeting for April is due to the reduced
cart rentals from 6000 to 4000. When we compare the flexible budgetwith the actual
results, there is an unfavorable variance of $200, this is due to the increase in the
Labor cost and also there is an unfavorable variance of $900 from the flexible budget
and this is because gas and oil were over the budget. In the case of flexible budget,
labor, gas and oil were over the budget which cause unfavorable variance of $1100
($200 + $900). The $200 unfavorable variance in labor is probably insignificant and
the $900 gas and oil difference is likely a timing difference between when the gas
and oil are purchased and when they are actually used.

With the age all of the numbers were very close together, so I think most just
guessed. Which is why the numbers are fairly consistent. With your father s

if we lived anywhere else but with the wright Patterson air force base so close by it
was a strong possibility that he could have been a pilot. Not just the Wright Patt,
but with Ohio being one of the birth places of aviation, the possibility got stronger.

Althusser Marxist Theory Of Education
Louis Althusser s Marxist theory of education According to Althusser, the two
ways that the state helps to keep the bourgeoisie in power are through the
repressive state apparatuses and the ideological state apparatuses. The repressive
state apparatuses are a set of people who suppress the working class and when they
do so, they support the bourgeoisie s rules by using physical force. Examples of
people who use this force are the police, courts, army and judiciary. The ideological
state apparatuses are a set of people who control people s ideas, values and beliefs
in order to support the bourgeoisie s rules. Examples of the ideological state
apparatuses include the media, religion, family, the political system and the education
system. Althusser views the education as an important ideological state apparatus. He
argues that the education performs two functions. The first function is that the
education reproduces class inequality by failing the successful generation of the
working class students. The second function is that there are set ideas and beliefs
that are produced as a result of class inequality which disguises its true cause. The
function of ideology is to show the workers that they deserve their subordinate
position in society and that they would be less likely to challenge capitalism if they
accept that inequality is unequal. Other Marxists such as Samuel Bowles and Herbert
Gintis argue that capitalism requires those employees to do the jobs who have the

Analysis Of The Bean Trees By Barbara Kingsolver
In The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver, Taylor Greer and Lou Ann Ruiz are two
characters who mother their children in different ways throughout the novel. Both
mothers work together to raise their children. Lou Ann is an overprotective and
cautious birth mother, while Taylor is a spunky, determined, and unexpected mother
.
In contrast to Taylor, Lou Ann s nervous and pessimistic attitude influences how she
mothers Dwayne Ray. ( Trans is it good?)
Lou Ann is an extremely overprotective, cautious, and paranoid mother. Lou Ann
does not want her son Dwayne Ray to be exposed to any form of danger and does
everything in her power to ensure that he is safe. Lou Ann carefully watches what
Dwayne Ray eats and the size of the food so that he does not choke. Lou Ann reads
various books, newspapers, and magazines about accidents and happenings to
children and uses her knowledge to avoid having those scenarios happen to Dwayne
Ray. Lou Ann worries more about extreme occurrences that are less likely to happen.

The Simpsons Worst Running Tv Series Of All Time
One of the longest running TV series of all time is the Simpsons. The Simpsons is an
animated sitcom that uses satire to depict the average American family. The Simpson
Family consists of Homer (father), Marge (mother), Bart (son), Lisa (daughter), and
Maggie (baby). In 2007 The Simpsons hit the big screen. This major motion picture
about Springfield, the home of the Simpson Family, and has just about everything
possibly imaginable. Springfield however has a very large problem, they pollute like
no other place in the United States. It was not until Lisa Simpsonproved to the town
how polluted the local lake was that change was instituted. After Lisa saves the lake
the city institutes wide spread trash and recycling procedures. However Homer doesn
t want to wait in one of the lines and instead dumps his trash in the lake. This is the
straw that broke the camel s back because after this the lake became toxic. At this
point the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) steps in and with the
authorization of the President. Springfield becomes encapsulated in a large dome. At
this point it becomes a life or death situation. The Simpsonsthen manage to escape
and go on a wild journey. Only to eventually get caught. Once the Simpsons are
returned to the dome, a massive bomb is placed in an effort to prevent Springfield
from further pollution. (The Simpsons Movie). The looming threat that in a short
matter of time everyone could be dead. It is at this point that Terror Management
Comparing Rheya And The Ocean
In Hawkins s essay, she writes about how Kelvin planned to establish a link
between the most powerful emotions despair, grief and pleasure and the electrical
discharges from the ocean (Hawkins). The ocean s electrical discharges are similar
to the electrical charges from our brains that occur when we feel emotions. The
ocean could sense those feelings, specifically, the strongly repressed ones. When an
emotion is not released and is contained, it becomes repressed. The ocean made
physical recreations of these emotions because it thought that was how it could
communicate with the humans. The first time Kelvin meets him, Snow is drunk.
This is a sign of repressed emotions. Each time he drinks, it is most likely to provide

He feels guilty because he knows that he is the reason that she killed herself back
on Earth. The guilt he felt was always there, it was just repressed. Now, Rheya
serves as a constant reminder of what he did. Unlike the original Rheya, this Rheya
is unbelievably strong and intolerably dependent. Rheya is a metaphor for guilt.
She represents how strongly it can affect someone and how it is continually there.
He tries to send her away, but one can never really get rid of their guilt. Launching
Rheya into space is only an inconvenience that delays her for a short time. He
thinks he might love Rheya and promises to go back to Earth with her. However,
this proclamation of love is just another repressed emotion. When you are
suffering from repressed emotions, your actions are based off of your reactions to
the past as well as the present. He remembers how he loved Rheya and he thinks
that he can love this Rheya the same way. However, he cannot love this Rheya
because he does not understand her. Rheya does not understand herself either. She
cannot comprehend who or what she is, because she is a creation of the ocean.
The ocean did not realize the affect emotions have and how Rheya s love for
Kelvin would drive her to suicide. She signs her suicide note as Rheya, but then she
crosses it out. This is because the identity she has been given is Rheya, but she is
only a copy. She is not the original, the real Rheya. Her
Humans have Engangered the Columbia River Limpet
The Columbia River Limpet, otherwise known as the Short faced Lanx, is
endangered due to human causes. This species is endangered due to population
fragmentation and isolation, dam building, and many other human causes. In
addition, habitat loss is one of the biggest problems because this organism has such
specific habitat requirements. This species lives in a freshwater ecosystem and now,
large populations can only be found in 4 streams. On the other hand, these human
induced problems can be remedied with a few restrictions, support, and a little effort.
The scientific name of this organism is Fisherola Nuttalli. The Columbia River
Limpet is a small lunged (pulmonate) snail. According to an article by Celeste
Mazzacano at the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation (http:/
/www.xerces.org/giant columbia river limpet/), It has a limpet like appearance,
with an uncoiled conical shell that has a wide base and a smooth, eccentric (off
center) apex. The shells may reach up to 8 mm long, 6.25 mm wide, and 3 mm
high; they are rich brown in color and appear striped due to fine concentric growth
rings (Neitzel Frest 1992). This organism is known as an invertebrate due to the
lack of a backbone. Invertebrates lack a vertebral column, which is made up of
bones called vertebrae. The scientific name for animals lacking a backbone is
Invertebrata. On the other hand, animals with a backbone are known as vertebrates,
the scientific name being Vertebrata. There are over 1

Few things that happen to your baby in the first year are more important than
nutrition. As your physician, I would like to share my concerns about feeding your
baby.
Breastfeeding is the best feeding for your baby. I recommend it for as long as
possible, preferably during the entire first year of life. In addition to giving the
proper nutrition, it offers protection from disease, and fosters that special closeness

The American Academy of Pediatrics advises that you keep your baby on breast
milk or iron fortified formula until his or her first birthday. Whole cow s milk

recommended until after the 2nd birthday). Cow s milk doesn t supply the balanced

for toddlers, Next Step can help provide the necessary iron and essential vitamins and

Urban Decline With Middle Class
In addition, McDonald (1986) expressed the beginning notion of gentrification that
indicated the urban decline with middle class individuals abruptly and surprisingly
moving into neighborhood where crime rates were tremendously high. In the study,
time arrangement information from fourteen gentrified neighborhoods in Boston,
New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C., were broke down to figure
out whether gentrification had an impact on wrongdoing rates in focal city
neighborhoods. The areas took after each other in natural or locational amenities,
pulled in young middle class professionals with nonfamily living arrangements, and
encountered a quick valuation for property estimations. Extra components advanced a
unique character to every area. Inquiry of crimegentrification prompts some

Lawrence (2013) promotes a theory that expresses the relationship between

area where vehement crime had at one time went about as an issue for keeping

Death is an elementary word harboring many meanings. It is the feeling of being
caught in the grip of inevitably. It is a personal realization that you too are mortal. It
is the recognition that one s life is changed forever. The shiny image of a once bright
world full of promise dulls. Unfortunately, every individual will experience the death
of a loved one at least once in their life. No words can soothe the agony of losing a
loved one. State legislatures are familiar with this grief and have created either a
coronersystem or a medical examiner system. A coroner system consists of a coroner
whose responsible for identifying the decreased body, alerting the family members or

This method may have been sufficient in the 10th century when people were
illiterate and believed the world was flat; however, the scientific world since then
has grown exponentially. Science is a powerful study, aiding us in understanding
the complex process life and the absence of life, death. Pathology, the science of
disease, has assisted in the arrests of countless criminals, uncovering the truth and
more notably providing a sense of closure for the loved ones of the deceased. A
coroner system without the foundation of science is a system that keeps murders on
the streets, the innocent behinds bars and prosecutors frozen in cases. The most
memorable example of inefficiency is Dr. Paul McGarry, who made careless errors
in not just one but four autopsies. In the case of new prison inmate Cayne Miceli,
McGarry initially determined the cause of death to be a drug overdose. Upon the
further examination, a second examiner found a heap of mucus in her lungs
indicating she had severe asthma. The doctor then concluded the real cause of death
was the jail restraints on her chest blocked her airways during an asthma attack
(Thompson, 2011, para 13 16). A peculiar fact about the case was the McGarry
concluded the cause of death before he got the test results. Could he had been trying
to hide something? After all, he is an elected official which according to the NAS

feeling of being separated because of the color of my skin. In the past and even say

To start off, racismis a large problem in work places. From, the way they treat
blacks compared to whites. As well as people assuming whites are smarter than
blacks. This was more of an issue in the past, but occasionally occurs today. People
went to the extent of forcing blacks to use a separate bathroom. The whites did not
want to have anything to do with the blacks. Blacks needed to work double or even
triple the amount just to show their abilities otherwise they were overlooked. It was
almost as if they put this reputation on blacks. With that being said, this issue is fixed
by the small degrees after Martin Luther King but still occurs on rare occasions. ...

I personally think students categorized by their race instead of their natural abilities is
wrong. Studies show that black students are out down and taught by the less

through bullying. This example is shown in To Kill a Mocking Bird. A student is

The Jewish people were not treated like they should of been so I m going to tell you
about how they were treated in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Germany. In
Western Europe they were much nicer to the Jews they gave them shelter food and
helped them get back on there feet. Here is a quote from the United States
Holocaust Memorial Museum website from before the Holocaust There they were
housed in hundreds of refugee centers and displaced persons (DP) camps such as
Bergen Belsen in Germany. The United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation
Administration (UNRRA) and the occupying armies of the United States, Great
Britain, and France administered these camps. A considerable number and variety
of Jewish agencies worked to assist the Jewish displaced persons. The American
Jewish Joint Distribution Committee provided Holocaust survivors with food and
clothing, while the Organization for Rehabilitation through Training (ORT)
offered vocational training. Refugees also formed their own organizations, and
many labored for the establishment of an independent Jewish state in Palestine.
The western countries were much nicer they helped Jewish people get shelter and
food. In Eastern Europe they were horrible to the Jews like in poland they had
many riots over 42 Jewish people died and a lot more were beaten they also had
parades about hating the Jews. Here is a quote from the United States Holocaust

feared for their lives. In postwar Poland, for example, there were a number of
pogroms (violent anti Jewish riots). The largest of these occurred in the town of
Kielce in 1946 when Polish rioters killed at least 42 Jews and beat many others.
that shows that the Jews weren t like they should of been treated. In Germany the

The biggest theme would be the separation of our society, and the want for cultural
unity. 2Pac points a light at not only the separations between blacks and whites
(which exist even today), but also the separation between blacks and blacks which
has a major effect of their own communities. Just after separation the next theme
would be how the older generation has been unable to help the new generation and
may have even pushed them even further down. The decisions of the older
generations have been detrimental to the growth of the new generations. Within this
song 2Pac leaves his hopes for a better world, hoping that the next generation can fix
the world before it is to late pleading, I hope we see the light before its ruined

the first fault is the separation of our society as a whole, and the second would be
how the older generations are failing the new generations.
Separation has a huge negative effect on our society and prevents us from moving
forward toward a greater future. The first form of separation addressed by 2Pac is
the separations between black and whites, he addresses this with the lyric, it ain t
about black and white cause we re human (1.20). All the way in back in 2005, 2Pac
was spreading the word of unity between blacks and whites, but it seems that we
have actually done the exact opposite. Things are separating us to even greater

Homosexuality In The Hairdresser Of Harare By Tendai
Huchu
Those being oppressed by their government must find a way to keep a sense of
themselves and their beliefs despite others attempts to change them. In the
Hairdresser of Harare by Tendai Huchu, Dumisani is a gay man in a country that
heavily discriminates against homosexuality. Dumi is under constant threat of
having his sexuality discovered and being punished by torture or imprisonment.
Despite this fear, he is able to overcome the disdain his society holds in order to
embrace who he truly is, You see for a long time I used to think of my gayness as a
cancer for which I needed treatment. Then I met Colin and he told me how wrong I
was. Now I realize it is simply something I was born with (438.) Dumi s ability to
thrive in the face of adversity allows him to be himself and overcome the limits
imposed on him by the Zimbabwean government. He embraces his identity and form
friendships and romantic relationships with people who understand him. He stays in
the country that is attempting to reject him in order to be with his lover, family, and
friends. He understands the threat he faces, but it does not prevent him being with
the man he loves or coming out to his family. In this way, the LGBT community and
other people whose lifestyles or beliefs conflict with their society s ideals persist
through the judgment of others simply by being themselves unashamedly. When in a
position where one s beliefs contradict those of their society a person s negative

The book s narrative follows a chronological format, painting a picture of Dr. Singh s
terms in UPA 1 and UPA 2.
In the introduction to his book, Baru proclaims that none of his predecessors at the
Prime Minister s office ever wrote a full book on his experiences during his tenure.

Manmohan Singh and it is UPA chief Sonia Gandhi and her gaggle of yes men who
are shown up in a poor light. The book does not disparage him in any manner. This
book tries to explain plainly the power equation between Sonia Gandhi and Dr.
Manmohan Singh but does not sensationalize the issue. It only re affirms what the
Indian public knew to be true.
Dr. Manmohan Singh is shown, regrettably, as a helpless, clueless shadow puppet of
Sonia Gandhi who almost arouses our sympathies because of his ineffectiveness in
functioning as the Prime Minister of India. This sad truth was simply being put on
record by the primary witness, ie, Sanjaya Baru, to this political drama.
Baru tell us that Dr Singh was terrified of losing his place in the scheme of things if
he did not kowtow to the High Command, Sonia Gandhi. For Dr. Singh, the Gandhi
family came first, followed by the political party, prime minister s office and, lastly,

Similarities Between Egypt And Incan Civilization
Incan and Egyptian Society
Thousands of years separate the Incan and ancient Egyptian civilizations, but
interestingly enough they are very similar. Both of these civilizations have a similar
social structure, to include how and why a ruler came to power. These civilizations
also had the same structure for children to become adults, although some differences
will be discussed. This paper will serve to explore not only the similarities between
these two civilizations, but their differences will be shared as well. The Incan
civilization is arranged in a way that resembles a pyramid. At the top of the pyramid
sits the Sapa Inca, the ruler of the Incan empire. The first Inca Sapa, Pachacuti, built
the city of Cuzco and also started the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While both of these civilizations had a spoken language, only one had a written
language. Within the Incan empire there were one hundred spoken languages with
the official language being Quechua3. None of the Incan history is written down
though because they did not have a written language, unlike the Egyptians.4 In
order to keep track of necessary taxes, the Incans used a Quipa. The Quipa was a
rope with strings that had different colors and thicknesses to them. These strings
then had knots tied into them at different locations and that coupled with the color
and thickness of the string meant something.5 Marriage in the Incan culture was
different from that of the Egyptians. Egyptians were often married off around the
age of 16 while the Incans waited until the approximate age of 30. The Incans
waited longer because of the cultural steps that were taken to become an adult.
Each sex had their own paths that were taken as they grew up; four in all for each
sex. The final path for each sex was at the age of 30, when a man became a warrior
and a woman had become marrying age. This was much the same for the Egyptians
just at a faster pace, probably due to the high mortality rate of children. Young girls
would help their mothers with household chores or out in the fields and young boys
were expected to follow in their fathers

Feudal Society In Medieval Europe
A feudal society is one in which the lords carry a significant measure of power by
owning land. Workers known as Serfs are included on the land. Serfs owe the lord
a certain amount of labor as well as give the lord a portion of their goods. The lords
then gives protection to the serfs from their knights. To get knights, the lord offers a
fief(land) to the knight in exchange for military service. A feudal society had the
characteristic of being decentralized. It also had major roles and responsibilities that
everyone needed to follow in order to keep the society intact. During the early
Middle Ages, decentralized governments, attacks from the Vikings and other
barbarians, and the strong power of the Church strongly abetted the formation of the
feudal society in Medieval Europe.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When a government system is decentralized, then it may lack a strong military and
infrastructure. After the fall of Charlemagne s empire, his society required a lot of
strong lords with powerful armies to protect the people because there was no strong
centralized government. This led to feudalism because the people were in need of
protection and had no strong centralized government to make a strong army. The
feudal society consisted of a decentralized government and had a strong army.
Another factor that led to the development of feudal societies, were the attacks from
the Vikings and other barbarians. Because The Vikings were so fierce and quick
when they attacked, it made them almost indefensible and very difficult to fight.
When Charlemagne s empire fell, it suffered many attacks from The Vikings that
gradually weakened their government. Feudalism allowed for protection of everyone
and people did not need to rely on a strong, centralized

English Song Critique
The first goal I set for the second quarter was to Write and record an English song.
While I did not completely finish a song, I developed instrumentals, lyrics, and
melody lines for two songs. Interestingly, I brainstormed the ideas for both projects
while walking my dog, Bandit.
The first, which I have tentatively titled Melody, started with me humming a rhythmic
piano part, then a melody line. Next, I developed the instrumental in GarageBand,
with an electric guitar part as a placeholder for the vocals. I found some really cool
techno/electronic effects, percussion parts, and bass parts, and utilized them in my
project. I scribbled some rough lyric ideas, then brought them into class one day and

wondering about the psychological meaning behind the criminal s behavior. It will
likely develop into a story song, which contains the easily recognized elements of
telling a narrative, linear story beginning, middle and end, with a recognizable story
arc that contains the classic elements of drama and delivery; it also has relatable
imagery to appeal to audiences (Anderson). Unlike Melody, for this song I
developed the melody of the chorus first, building around the opening line you re an
outlaw. While I was singing, I couldn t help but feel that the song sounded Taylor
Swift like, which is a very different sound from my other two pieces. I didn t want
to forget my song idea, so as soon as I returned home after the walk, I recorded the
melody in GarageBand using my MIDI keyboard and worked out some lyrics. I
fleshed out the track with guitar chords and a drum beat, and later recorded the
vocals in the vocal booth. In the second semester, I will compose the verses and
Father Paneloux In The Plague
In the beginning of The Plague, Father Paneloux emotes the essence of the knight
of faith. The knight of faith is rooted in the world. He is never stuck questioning
descions; he keeps moving through life. The knight of faith never questions the
bad times in life. The knight of faith stand firm in his beliefs. But to be able to fall
down in such a way that the same second looks as if one were standing and walking
, to transform the leap of life into a walk, absolutely to express the sublime in
pedestrian that only the knight of faith can do. As the plagueprogresses, Father
Paneloux loses the characteristic of the knight of faith. He resigned everything
infinitely, and then grasped everything again by virtue of the absurd. He constantly

Father Paneloux believes the plague is a punishment from God. Through Father
Paneloux first sermon, there is a sense of him being the knight of faith. The first
time this scourge appears in history, it was wielded to strike down the enemies of
God. Pharaoh set himself up against the divine will, and the plague beat him to his
knees. Thus from dawn of recorded history the scourge of God has humble the
proud heart....Ponder This well, my friends and fall to your knees. Father
Paneloux believes strongly in his faith that the plague is there to teach the people a
lesson, either you repent for sins or suffer from the plague. If today the plague is in
your midst that is because the hour has struck for taking thought. The just man need
have no fear, but the evildoer has good cause to tremble. For plague is the flail of
God and the world His threshing floor, and implacably He will thresh out His harvest
until the wheat is separated from the chaff? Father Paneloux is not sitting around
pondering the reasons of the plague; he believe that God is punishing those who have
sinned. At this point in The Plague, Father Paneloux is a knight of

Mentioned below are three important factors most people face with marketing
techniques: Cultural, Political, and Business Ethics. Cultural: In the U.S. there are
many cultural variations. One of the things I ve found to be a factor with marketing,
is the basic cultural and language variations between people from different countries.
The complex details of a variable annuity are difficult to explain in any language, so
when the client may not speak and understand the broker s language well enough,
there may be a high level of insecurity over the whole purchase process. Also,
imagery used in marketing materials may not have the same impact on people from
different cultures, and may even be offensive or unrealistic. These same anxiety
inducing factors may also prevent the investor from asking questions they feel are
relevant, but don t want to be perceived as uneducated or unsophisticated. Consumer
behavior differs in each culture, in which one might use everything from body
gestures, long periods of silence, and empathy to exchange communications. People
might have a hard time with reading investment materials, writing and speaking a less
than familiar language, but might have very clear listening abilities that could
increase their comfort with and comprehension of the product. Political We ve all

Gilgamesh, the Illiad, the Aeneid
Classical literature has withstood the tests of time. Through the Anglo Saxon era in
history, long narrative poems, known as epics become all the rage. These poems
were written in elevated styles that presented the adventures of a hero with
superhuman qualities who embodied the national ideals. These ideals and adventures
were presented through elements such as dreams, courage allowing the hero to
overcome great trials, and a major battle scene. These elements, known as epic
conventions, created epics that to this day continue to be read and taught throughout
all the world. Authors like Homer (Circa 850 B.C.) and Virgil (Circa 70 19 B.C.)
capitalized on the growing popularity of epics through masterpieces like Gilgamesh,

The verity of compassion exemplifies the reward of life s hardest choices. The
verify of pity is also shown through these epics. In the epic Gilgamesh, Enkidu
pities the life of Gilgamesh when the battle is ended with Enkidu standing up
Gilgamesh and extending the offer to be friends. After the long journey, as
Gilgamesh is desperately seeking the plant of everlasting life, the old immortal
man Utnapishtim has pity on Gilgamesh when Utnapishtim directs, In the depths
of the sea lies a plant. It looks like a buckthorn and pricks like a rose. If any man
comes into possession of it, he can, by tasting it, regain his youth! Pity is displayed
at the start of The Iliad as goddess Hera becomes distressed at the site of the
Danaans dying and puts pity into the heart of Achilles to call all of the men into
the place of assembly. Andromache prays, No pity for our child/poor little one, or
me in my sad lot soon to be deprived of you! soon, soon/Achaens as one man will
set upon you/and cut you down! Anchises, in The Aeneid, pities the lives of the
other family members by refusing to add additional weight, as a burden, to the
family s escape. Through the epics, pity has been a verity that has saved and
changed the life of many characters. Pride is the verity that troubled characters in the
epics. It was said to be that Gilgamesh was the mightiest warrior and no one could
match Gilgamesh in combat. Knowing this, Gilgamesh is a hubris

enthusiast for the cinema , that she acted in several movies and that her letters
frequently took up such images as the months that stream by like a movie picture

screenplay direction than the opening of a narrative. From studying At the Bay,

area is described, the narrative voice wandering from components of the setting, such
as the tide to the sunlight (20) to the green binds...in the bungalows (21) and the

the manner in which they are portrayed.
This parallels Citizen Kane s News of the World sequence, a montage that uses
accurate renditions of a series of news segments, where newspapers and footage are
both crafted to look as authentic and possible, to create a realistic depiction of
media coverage that encompasses the globe through the different languages printed
on certain newspapers. This of course brings different places together to add to the
legibility of the scene and thus its overall realism. Much like Mansfield, Welles uses
the idea of consistency and replication in his montage as a way of uniting it to the
real world.
Yet this montage sequence in Citizen Kane fulfills another purpose. This scene takes
place directly after Kane s death, a sombre, moving moment. By directly contrasting
that moment with a

Walter, upset, purposely takes off the gloves at a red light. As he stopped at the red

Thurber had a troublesome marriage with Althea; Walter is constantly being
controlled by Mrs. Mitty. Because of Mrs. Mitty s nagging and imposing influence
seen in paragraphs 3 and 4, Walter is triggered into a daydream. As a world famous
surgeon, he not only is in control of his life, but the life of his patient. Mitty
cleverly adapts to emergencies like using a fountain pen to fix the needed surgical
machinery (The). Every time he escapes, it is because of a trigger, often through an
authority figure imposing on him. In fact, it is the clear distinction between fantasy
and reality that makes escaping a theme. The heavy juxtaposition between diction of
the dream world and real life is evident. For example, in the second daydream as a
surgeon, Dr. Mitty snapped at fellow doctors and nurses to give him a fountain pen
and uses fake yet complicated sounding medical terms such as Obstreosis of the
ductal tract (The). However, in the subsequent paragraph as Walter clumsily almost
hits another car in the parking lot in reality, he only muttered in response to the valet,
unable to give a definitive reply. The dramatic juxtaposition between Mitty s
spectacular fantasies and mundane reality drives the story. Thurber highlights Mitty s
desperateness for action through the drastic differences in scenes. Also, Thurber
distinguishes daydreams by incorporating much more imperative voice and literary
devices compared to straight dialogue in the reality. Thurber literally makes the
fantasies more alive and interesting than boring reality. Onomatopoeia is seen in 3 of
the 5 daydreams, ta pocketa pocketa... in paragraph 1 for the hydroplane and the same
sound for the surgical machine (The). Rat tat tatting in paragraph 14 reflects the
machine gun sounds Captain Mitty heard during war. By using onomatopoeia,

Roots of the Rwandan Genocide
On April 6, 1994, Rwanda experienced a period of great turmoil as thousands of
people fell victim to the horrors of the Rwandan genocide. The main targets of the
genocide were Tutsis and Hutu moderates. Though the main cause of the genocide
was a conflict between two ethnicities, the genocide was also fueled by political
factors and social conditions. Rwandais the smallest sub Saharan country with a
population of about 7 million inhabitants. Although the indigenous peoples of
Rwanda are the Twa, they are now the minority. 90% of Rwanda s population is
comprised of Hutus, and the rest of the population s majority consists of Tutsi

As a result, peace and unity between the Hutu and Tutsi military and political groups
was never achieved, thus leading to the assassination of the president.
The Genocide Roughly 800,000 Tutsis and Hutu sympathizers were killed during the
events of the Rwandan genocide. Although tensions were high between the Hutus
and the Tutsis long before the genocide began, the assassination of Rwanda s
second president, President Habyariama, created even more hostility between the
two ethnic groups. Extreme Hutu nationalists accused a Tutsi organization called
the Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF), and many Tutsis blamed Hutus. Because of
this disagreement, extremist Hutu groups such as the Hutu militia and the
Rwandan Armed Forces (FAR) were encouraged by radical radio stations to use
brutality and force to seek revenge for the death of the Hutu president. Within the
first few days of the genocide, Hutu militia groups executed the US Ambassador to
Rwanda, Ambassador Rawson, and 250 other Americans. The FAR and Hutu militia
used rape as a tactic to defeat the opposing groups. Moreover, the Hutu radical
groups used rape as a major weapon throughout the events of the genocide. In early
July, towards the end of the genocide, the RPF gained control of the country through
a military offensive ... hundreds of thousands of Rwandans were dead and many
more displaced from their homes . Because the genocide lasted only 100

Progressive Peasant Revolution Dbq

The Progressive Peasant Revolution Inhabiting the Holy Roman Empire in the 16th
century, the upper class considered peasants a mere subhuman. Conversely, Martin
Luther, a German professor of theology, influenced reformation to the German state.
This reformation focused on the peasants, especially the peasant revolt of 1524. As
the revolution continued, the Peasant Parliament formed to coordinate activates and
strive for optimistic results of the revolt. Consequently, peasants offered moderate
reforms that were supported by the towns, but condemned by the nobility and the
leading Protestant reformer, Martin Luther. This would be known as the largest

Lorenz Fries stresses this anger in his report to the Archbishop of Wurzburg, as he
describes the wealth s inability to share their profits and income with the poor
(Doc 8). The peasants believe they are entitled to a share of wealth because all are
considered to be brothers in the public eye of God. Considering Fries s report is
secret, it most likely states his candid opinions (Pov3). Although economic
oppression is a crucial factor in pushing the revolt, Protestant influence is
responsible for the revolt as well. Protestant ideals also contributed a major role in
causing the peasants revolts. Leonhard von Eck, the Chancellor Bavaria, understood
the key function of Protestant ideas when he reported to Duke Ludwig of Bavaria
that this rebellion has been undertaken to repress the princes and the nobility and has
its ultimate source in Lutheran teaching for the peasants relate a majority of their
demands to the Word of God, the Gospel, and brotherly love. (Doc 1). Von Eck has
deciphered that the peasants drive to reform is based from the Lutheran religion,
which stresses the devotion God s Law and divine grace. Although Von Eck is a
superior government official who has a duty in upholding order and stability, his
assessment is insightful (Pov 4). Martin Luther and other Protestant reformers had
proclaimed the spiritual freedoms of Christians from the Catholic Church. Peasants

Persuasive Essay On Motocross
Motocross
There are a lot of ways that people use dirt bikes from professional racing to
recreation to stunts. I ve grown up with dirt bikes all my life they have been a way
for me to have fun and just be calm when you re flying around a track or riding in the
woods it s always fun but it wears your body down when you re riding all day and
you can feel the stress on all parts of your body.
Many people believe that motocross and supercross are not classified as an actual
sport because they are on a bike, but they require riders to be in good physical health
and put strain on the body just like other sports; unfortunately, ESPN and other sports
news do not bother with talking about motocross.
Staying in shape is important because they are riding a (180 to 230 pound dirt
bike) going around a track at (35 to 40 mph) with sharp turns and jumps. You need
high endurance to hold on to the bike for an extended period of time when you re
racing on a track or through the woods.
Staying lean not bulking up, dirt bike riders lift but its to strengthen their muscles and
stay lean. They don t eat a excessive amount of food to build muscle mass because
they wouldn t be aerodynamic on the track and wouldn t be able to stay on the bike
as long as the rider that isn t all bulked up. Professional riders usually run a lot, but
also do normal workouts a athlete who wants to get better in their sport would do.
They need to have good balance because putting a helmet, jersey, pants, boots, chest

What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, men would die from

The love I have for orangutans comes from an early age. Like most little sisters, my
older brother ruthlessly teased me. When I was a baby he would make me mimic
funny faces and stick my hair up on end. He said I looked like an orangutan. His
teasing continued, but instead of getting mad, I became interested. I began taking a
look at these creatures and soon discovered that being compared to one wasn t
completely wrong. Actually,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, this is no longer the case, and natives are stripping away these
creatures habitats for commercial business. If things don t change, it is believed that
orangutans will be extinct in the wild in as few as ten years. This is something that
can only be changed with human intervention.
Two major causes of orangutan endangerment are the illegal selling of baby
orangutans and the unlawful logging of the rainforest in which they live. The bond
between a mother orangutan and her baby is the longest childhood dependence of
any animal in the world. Orangutans will only have one child about every eight
years. Baby orangutans nurse until they are about six years old and then they still
stay close to their mothers for a few more years. Female orangutans will sometimes
stay with their mother until their adolescents, in order to learn how to take care of
their own babies by watching their mothers take care of a younger sibling.
The already low natural population increase makes any killing a major threat to the
survival of the species. Because babies stay with their mother for so many years, the
only way to capture one is to kill the mother. Although highly illegal, baby orangutans
are being sold as family pets as a high commodity on the black market. When the

Character Analysis Of The Movie Rudy
The movie Rudy is about the life of Daniel E. Rudy Ruettiger, the protagonist or
hero (page 59) and his journey (page 60) to pursue his dream of attending the
University of Notre Dame and playing football for the Fighting Irish. Act I begins
in the late 1960 s in a small town south of Chicago, Illinois, where Rudy grew up
(ordinary world page 61). The antagonists or villains (page 59) of the story are his
father, brothers, girlfriend and teachers. Throughout his life, they (the antagonists)
have always told him what he could and couldn t do. Repeatedly, they said that he
wasn t smart enough to go to college at Notre Dame and that he wasn t big enough,
fast enough or athletic enough to play for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football
team. Rudy s only ally was his childhood best friend Pete, who always believed and
supported him in pursuing his dreams. Because Pete believed so much in Rudy, he
bought him a Notre Dame football jersey from a thrift store for his birthday. Pete s
father used to say, having dreams is what makes life tolerable . After the
unfortunate work related death of his dear friend, Pete, Rudy faces the decision
whether to continue a life working in the steel mill with his father and brothers or
pursue his lifelong dream to attend college at Notre Dame and play for the Fighting
Irish football team. As Act I closes, Rudy buys a bus ticket to South Bend, Indiana.
As a result, Act II opens in South Bend, Indiana, where Rudy meets Father
Cavanaugh (meeting with the mentor page 61). Faced with the reality that his
grade point average is too low to attend Notre Dame, Rudy takes the advice of
Father Cavanaugh and enrolls at Holy Cross Junior College in hopes to bring his
grades up (crossing the first threshold page 61). While at Holy Cross, he makes
friends with D Bob, a teacher s assistant, who discovers that Rudy has dyslexia
which is the cause of his poor grades. To earn money, Rudy convinces the
groundskeeper, Fortune, to give him a job working as his assistant at the Notre
Dame football stadium. Soon, Fortune realizes that Rudy has no place to stay and
secretly allows him to sleep on a cot in the maintenance room. During the next three
semesters, Rudy works hard to improve

Sexual harassment have become a major concern in places of work, and academic

become a place where men and women can become victimized. With the intersection
of sexual harassment and social media people have experience sexual harassment

The subject of sexual harassment has not been one that haven t been noticed by
people, though the thought of someone causing trouble online seems something of
the norm among us. That does not mean we are concerned of the trouble in media,
especially when anything can happen on one or various of sites. Sexual harassment
in person is horrifying enough in person, but now they have the problem of it
following them on places where they regular visit online in order to do work or just
to take a break and relax from stress.
Sexual harassment online is when a person sends unwanted inappropriate image,

Calorimetry Of Brass Lab Report
Background Brass is considered an alloy, or a mix of multiple metals. Brass is
usually made of copper and zinc, but there could be some other metals creating 300+
known brass alloys. The amount of copper in brass will affect basic characteristics of
brass like color, strength, conductivity, etc. To find the amount of copperin brass one
can use visible spectroscopy. Spectroscopy is the study of electromagnetic radiation.
It originated as a study of visible light, and wavelength through a prism.
Spectroscopy can show how much copper is in a brass solution by showing how
much visible light is passing through a copper solution
Procedure
1)Weigh two brass shots, about 1 gram each, and verify mass, then transfer into
beaker

The Life Of Jackie Onassis
Just recently, I was at the movie theater watching the film Jackie. This film
revolved around the life of Jackie Onassis and all the obstacles that she faced in
the wake of John F. Kennedy s death. The film was incredibly moving and
beautiful, and my eyes didn t leave the screen once. As I was walking out of the
theater, speaking with my friends about how I had enjoyed the film, I heard a man
talking to his wife and explaining to her that Jackie Onassis didn t deserve to have
a film made about her because she had married another man several years after the
death of John Kennedy and, in that process, had degraded herself to a common
level. Hearing these words filled me with a fire that I didn t know I can produce.
Had the film been about some
Review Of The Ministry Of Music On The Black Church
Introduction and Thesis
Music is an inseparable element of Black life and therefore Black worship. The
Black Church understands worship to be a communal act of adoration towards God
that may involve praise or petition via song, dance, music (use of instruments),
recitation, meditation, chanting, and or prayer (Mason, 2016). According to James
Cone, Black music is unity music because it unites...the hope and despair;...and it
moves the people towards the direction of total liberation; and confronts the
individual with the truth of black existence and affirms that black being is possible
only in the communal context (p. 5). It is with this understanding that black people
worship through music and without this understanding worship and music are
diluted. J. Wendell Mapson articulated this idea in his book, The Ministry of Music
in the Black Church, when he noted that purpose of worship is forfeited when
singing music that has no relationship to everyday life, and the worshipper becomes
disconnected from the way music and worship have historically served blacks (41).
In this same vain, James Cone asserted that Black music is theological because it
reveals how God moves people towards unity and self determination.
Such unity and self determination was evidenced in 1801, when Richard Allen,
founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church published a hymnal by and for
African Americans (Costen, 81). Hymns have served black people in their everyday
lives and had and have
The Person I Picked For My Assignment
The person I picked for my assignment was a women I work with, Jenny. She must
accomplish many duties throughout the day. Jenny is in charge of making sure
everything runs smoothly at the University Relations office at Hofstra Hall. She has
a student aid secretary to help her with phone calls and small tasks. Jenny takes most
of the calls herself and sets appointments or meetings for everyone in the office. She
is also in charge of ordering all office supplies, cross checking names and addresses
for all mailing lists, and she helps plan many events on campus. To accomplish all of
these goals, Jenny is constantly working. She is always delegating work to her
student aid secretaries, answering phones to set appointments or help people.... Show

This is the main building that the original campus was build around. The
University Relations office is located on the second floor and you take a small set of
stairs to reach the first door on the right. Once inside there is a room with two desks.
Jenny sits at a large L shaped desk in the left hand corner. There is a table against
the opposite wall were incoming mail for the department head is placed here, as
well as a lamp and some candy in a large bowl. On the right hand side, there is
another desk on the far wall, this is where student aids work. Opposite this desk is
two chairs for people to sit on and a small table with newspapers from the past three
days organized on top. In between the two desks in a door into the office of the
department head. To the right of the seating area is a hallway that spans the rest of
the office. There are four rooms each containing one to three people. At the end of
the hallway there is a small room with a sink, a coffee maker, a water dispenser
and a miniature fridge. This kitchen like area also contains the large printer and
copier, as well as filing cabinets full of supplies, documents, and some snacks as
well. All of the desks in the office have little bowls or containers full of small
snacks or candy. These are for both workers and guests to snack on. I got to observe
the office setting and Jenny working in it, in a very intimate way. This is because I

All Summer Is A Day By Ray Bradbury
Many centuries after the first spaceship landed on the moon, a group of brave rocket
men and women did the unbelievable. The short story All summer is a day , by Ray
Bradbury, takes place in the underground city of the planet Venus where tunnels
roamed instead of streets. The land above them was submerged with endless pouring
rain and deadly jungles. The sight of the sunwas a rare miracle that only happened
once every seven years. The children spent all their life in the enclosed underground
tunnels, well all except for one. Margot was the only child who came to Venus when
she was four, and the biggest difference was that she still remembered the times when
the glowing sun gave warmth and hope.
Thesis Statement (1 3 sentences) Her past experiences and opportunities caused the
children of Venus to be jealous of her. As a result, the children harassed Margot in
disbelief. The gloomy, enclosed environment affects everyone greatly. The message
of the story shows how the environment and the people around you can affect you
because of their own lack of experiences. The author portrays this when the children
harass the main character, he also uses craft moves to show isolation of the main
character, and how depressed she is as a result. To begin, the author shows that the
harassment Margot goes through is due to the children lack of knowledge about the
sun since they have spent their whole life on Venus. Throughout the day, Margot
brings back memories of the sun.
Feral Children Candland Analysis
Anthropologists Mauss and Bloch have already told us about how learning and
mimicking shape habits and techniques. Also, they explain how cultural variances
affect how different humans learn different sorts of bodily functions and develop
habits based upon their environment and nurturing. The topic of learned actions
carries significant weight when it is applied to the studying of feral children, or
children raised in nature either alone or by some other species of animal. If one
observes a feral child s behaviors, they are, as expected, very different compared to
those of average, civilized humanbeings. Therefore, one can make the argument that
through the observation and conditioning of feral children such as Victor from
Candland s piece,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similarly, if they ever began to act as normal human children, learning how to do so
from other humans would also be required. In Candland s piece on specific
examples of feral children, he also points towards the importance of understanding
that the minds of these children do not inherently differ from those of civilized
human children, stating These children...remind us that it is we human beings who
ask the questions of one another. The nature of these questions reveals much about
the ways in which our own minds work. (Candland 71). Perhaps, one way to
understand the parallels between feral children and civilized children involves
imagining oneself as a baby learning to walk, talk, open doors, eat properly, etc.
These specific bodily functions and the way in which they are learned and turn into
habits serve as the foundation for Mauss s incredible work , and he likely also
believed that observers can learn a great deal from studying the condition and
development of feral
Antibiotics And Antimicrobial Resistance
In this paper, I address some major ethical issues associated with the ineffective use
of Antibiotics which contributes to Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), as
Antimicrobial resistance is a direct consequence of not considering several
bioethical factors associated with proper use of antibiotics since its advent. The
Antimicrobial resistance is a result of ceaseless selection pressure over bacterial
population during several generations from human application of antibiotics through
overuse, underuse and misuse. In the first section, I have discussed why AMR
currently has become one of the major public health concerns and the impacts of the
AMR on global public health should not merely be viewed as a technical or medical
problem but as a distinct

Palestine has a right, under international and natural law, to self determination under
the borders which existed prior to Israel s formation in 1948. The natural governing
authority of the new Palestinian State to be formed within these borders is the
Palestinian Authority (PLO) currently led by Mahmoud Abbas. Given that land was
stolen from Palestinian natural sovereignty via actions taken by Israel in wars which
Palestine proper was not a participant to, Israel must also pay reparations to the
Palestinian State as well as its citizens so as to compensate for the crimes against
humanity which it has committed over the course of the last several decades.
Cemented by the renunciation of violence which the PLO has undertaken,
Palestinians can no longer be held accountable for the actions of Hamas and other
terrorist groups, and an independent Palestinian state commits to joining the War on
Terror righteously fought by Israel and its allies.
The Minimal Acceptable Borders of a Palestinian State Beginning with the minimal
acceptable borders of a Palestinian State, these must be congruent with the original
United Nations Settlement plan put forth by the UN prior to Israeli conquest in
1949 With Rowntree et al. (2014) noting that the original 1948 borders of Israel
were already in violation of the proposed United Nations Settlement, Israel s borders

The Trial And Death Of Socrates
Philosophical attitudes, as Arthur E. Murphy explains, are attitudes where ones
should not cease to stop pursuing the truth, which they should wonder about things
around them, understand the meaning behind of that existence, perceive the ideas
from different perspective, and knows one self s knowledge. He also points out that
the one with philosophy attitudes should be open minded and responsible. However,
we need a certain example to prove whether this explanation is right or not. For that,
in this essay, we will use Platos The Trial and Death of Socrates, as our example of
how this kind of attitudes play in Socrates life as it is well known as intelligently and
morally lived one.
In Euthyphro section, Socrates meets a man named Euthyphro before his trial,
where he is being accused by Meletus for corrupting the youth. While Euthyphro is
here to prosecute his own father for the case of murder. Socrates starts to ask him
about his meaning of piety. It is not being seen because it is a thing seen but on the
contrary, it is a thing seen because it is being seen; nor is it because it is something
led that it is being led but because it is being led that it is something led; not is
something being carried because it is something carried, but it is something carried
because it is being carried.
What Socrates means from this is that what people might believe is the truth might
not be the truth, just because people believe it to be the truth. People tend to follow the
The Business Process Outsourcing ( Bpo )
Introduction The Philippines is one of the developing countries presently. It is
poised to become an industrialized country within 5 10 years. The main economic
drivers are the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who usually remit on average
$25 Billion a year (www.bsp.gov.ph/Statistics/keystat/ofw.htm). Next to this are the
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) which is popularly known as call center
business which churns about $18 Billion a year (www.asiabriefing.com/news/2015
/02/oursourcing bpo). You could see skyscrapers in major metropolitan areas
sprouting unceasingly signalling that the economy is robust and poised to take off.
Or is it really? This paper will attempt to analyze the travails and missteps of this
beautiful country endowed with rich natural resources with 7,107 islands called an
archipelago with seas and oceans surrounding these islands. The naturally
hospitable, friendly and smiley people lends a strong backdrop to this country with
about 107 million population (http://itsmorefuninthephilippines.com/). It has a good
English speaking population which is why the biggest bank of the US, JP Morgan
Chase has call centers and direct hired telephone bankers, officers, and specialists,
celebrating its 10th year of presence in the Philippines. Wells Fargo, the no. 4 bank
also has extensive call centers and back office support in the Philippines. These
foreign parties driven businesses coming from the OFWs and BPOs are the main
drivers of the economy.
Fallot Colostomy
The most common comorbid cardiac malformation is a ventricular septal defect
(VSD). or tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and others are isolated defects. In Case of VSD
the patency of the ductus arteriosus can be maintained by the use of prostaglandin
while the colostomy is established. Also the patent foramen ovale may need to be
enlarged by the balloon technique in the case of inadequate atrial mixing. This is
the only case where the cardiac lesion will have to be repaired before the ARM.
When EA/TEF is present also then many factors are involved in the treatment. Such
as the ligation or division of the distal TEF along with a colostomy. If the child has
TOF the descending aorta may be on the right side, making the definitive repair of
the EA/TEF easier from the left thoracic approach. A systemic to pulmonary shunt
may be required Only in the presence of a cyanotic cardiac lesion... Show more

There are usually hemivertebrae present that will tilt the pelvis to a varying degree
and when severe then it may result in severe deformity of the lower body. The
absence of several pelvic vertebrae is more often associated with urinary
incontinence than with bowel incontinence. At times the spinal malformation may
be very severe with lack of development of the sacrum and sacral nerve plexus, a
condition known as caudal regression or caudal dysgenesis sequence. In these
instances, the baby s buttocks are flat and the gluteal crease is barely discernable.
The clinical import of this condition is that the pelvic musculature and innervation are
impossible to utilize. The establishment of an anal opening on the perineum will
result in a perineal colostomy with little or no bowel control and no possibility of
maintaining a colostomy bag seal. In these cases, establishment of a permanent
colostomy is required following separation of the distal bowel from the urogenital

Campus Life Essay

  • 1. Campus Life Essay Writing an essay on the topic of "Campus Life" can be both a challenging and rewarding task. The difficulty arises from the need to encapsulate the multifaceted aspects of college life within a limited word count while maintaining coherence and depth. Campus life encompasses a wide range of experiences, from academic pursuits to social interactions, extracurricular activities, and personal growth. Balancing these elements requires careful consideration and a strategic approach to ensure that the essay effectively conveys the essence of the campus experience. One challenge is deciding which aspects of campus life to highlight and delve into, as attempting to cover everything may result in a superficial treatment of each element. Narrowing down the focus while maintaining a comprehensive overview can be a delicate balancing act. Additionally, conveying personal experiences and perspectives in a way that resonates with the reader while avoiding clichГ©s and generic observations adds another layer of complexity. Moreover, the challenge lies in presenting a unique perspective that distinguishes the essay from others on the same topic. Given the popularity of campus life as a subject, the risk of falling into common tropes and generalizations is ever-present. Crafting an essay that stands out requires a creative and thoughtful approach, often involving introspection and the ability to articulate personal insights in a compelling manner. However, despite the difficulties, writing about campus life also offers the opportunity for self- reflection and expression. It allows the writer to explore their own journey, growth, and experiences within the unique environment of a college or university. The process of composing such an essay can be a valuable exercise in introspection, helping the writer gain a deeper understanding of the impact of campus life on their personal and academic development. In conclusion, while writing an essay on campus life poses its challenges, it is also an opportunity for self-discovery and creative expression. Successfully navigating these challenges requires careful consideration, a clear focus, and a genuine reflection on one's experiences. The end result, when executed effectively, can offer a vivid and insightful portrayal of the multifaceted nature of campus life. For those seeking assistance with such essays or exploring a variety of writing services, it's worth noting that HelpWriting.net provides a platform where similar essays and more can be ordered to meet individual writing needs. • 2. Colosseum Essay Architecture of the ancient Roman Empire is one of the most fascinating of all time. Around the time of A.D. 70 72, Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian Dynasty instructed the architecture of the massive, ancient amphitheater, the Colosseum. Titus, the son of Vespasian, made the Colosseum known as the Flavian Amphitheater in year A.D. 80. This lavished construction hosted battles, gladiatorial games, wild animal fights and more. After four centuries of active use, it was used as a source of building materials until the 18th century. Later, two thirds of the original Colosseumhas been destroyed over time, the amphitheater remains a remarkable landmark. The Colosseum is an iconic symbol of Romeand its long, tumultuous history. The Colosseum wasn t only used for re enactment; the arena was also used for naval battles, concerts, games, and plays. The Colosseum was and is known throughout the whole world for the its majesty and magnificence. This building still stands today in the heart of the now Italian capital, Rome. It attracts thousands of tourists daily and is one of the most famous monuments ever built. Before the Colosseum was even built, there was only one small amphitheater in the whole city of Rome. Even after the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunately, the building began degrading as time went on. Throughout the 400 years, the Arena as had many changes, additions and repairs; and in 217, the upper floors went on fire because of a thunderbolt. This caused the Colosseum to be closed for a period of five years, during which the games were held in a nearby circus. There were also many earthquakes in 442 and 470 that badly damaged the Arena. The last gladiatorial combat was held in the year 404. Gradually the taste of the public had changed, but the main reason for the end of the games was the military and financial crisis of the western part of the empire, together with the many invasions Italy suffered
  • 3. The Vs. Static Budgeting Essay When we compare the static budget with the actual results, there has been a decrease of 2000 cart rentals, which cause $50,000 unfavorable variance. Moreover, there is an unfavorable variance of $200 from the static budget and this is due to the increase in the Labor cost. But when it comes to the gas and oil there has been a decrease, which cause $1100 favorable variance. So the difference between the actual operating profits and the static budgeting for April is $49100 ($50,000U + $200U $1100F). In my opinion almost of all the differences between the actual operating profits and the static budgeting for April is due to the reduced cart rentals from 6000 to 4000. When we compare the flexible budgetwith the actual results, there is an unfavorable variance of $200, this is due to the increase in the Labor cost and also there is an unfavorable variance of $900 from the flexible budget and this is because gas and oil were over the budget. In the case of flexible budget, labor, gas and oil were over the budget which cause unfavorable variance of $1100 ($200 + $900). The $200 unfavorable variance in labor is probably insignificant and the $900 gas and oil difference is likely a timing difference between when the gas and oil are purchased and when they are actually used. b. Advantages More accurate when compare to the static budget It is easy to control the costs and easy to evaluate the profits. Can make adjustments for the predictions Easy to adapt to the
  • 4. Information Integration Theory With the age all of the numbers were very close together, so I think most just guessed. Which is why the numbers are fairly consistent. With your father s occupation for me the pilot seemed plausible. Maybe it wouldn t seem very likely if we lived anywhere else but with the wright Patterson air force base so close by it was a strong possibility that he could have been a pilot. Not just the Wright Patt, but with Ohio being one of the birth places of aviation, the possibility got stronger. At least in my mind. This pretty good example of the availability heuristic, a tendency to estimate the odds that an event will occur by how easily these instances come to mind. (Markus 123) With your favorite music, which ended up being Jazz and R B, I think most people looked at the age of our instructor. A little bit older, so for most it seemed like Jazz would be a good bet, since it s seen as a more adult form of music.I think people have a tendency to view intelligent people, like teachers having a more mature taste in music, regardless of age. I did not guess R B though, it is not something that fits into the line of thinking we have for a teacher. But it s a nice surprise that it s one of your favorites.... So it s easy to see why the majority of us picked it for you. (We think teachers could use a
  • 5. Althusser Marxist Theory Of Education Louis Althusser s Marxist theory of education According to Althusser, the two ways that the state helps to keep the bourgeoisie in power are through the repressive state apparatuses and the ideological state apparatuses. The repressive state apparatuses are a set of people who suppress the working class and when they do so, they support the bourgeoisie s rules by using physical force. Examples of people who use this force are the police, courts, army and judiciary. The ideological state apparatuses are a set of people who control people s ideas, values and beliefs in order to support the bourgeoisie s rules. Examples of the ideological state apparatuses include the media, religion, family, the political system and the education system. Althusser views the education as an important ideological state apparatus. He argues that the education performs two functions. The first function is that the education reproduces class inequality by failing the successful generation of the working class students. The second function is that there are set ideas and beliefs that are produced as a result of class inequality which disguises its true cause. The function of ideology is to show the workers that they deserve their subordinate position in society and that they would be less likely to challenge capitalism if they accept that inequality is unequal. Other Marxists such as Samuel Bowles and Herbert Gintis argue that capitalism requires those employees to do the jobs who have the right
  • 6. Analysis Of The Bean Trees By Barbara Kingsolver In The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver, Taylor Greer and Lou Ann Ruiz are two characters who mother their children in different ways throughout the novel. Both mothers work together to raise their children. Lou Ann is an overprotective and cautious birth mother, while Taylor is a spunky, determined, and unexpected mother . In contrast to Taylor, Lou Ann s nervous and pessimistic attitude influences how she mothers Dwayne Ray. ( Trans is it good?) Lou Ann is an extremely overprotective, cautious, and paranoid mother. Lou Ann does not want her son Dwayne Ray to be exposed to any form of danger and does everything in her power to ensure that he is safe. Lou Ann carefully watches what Dwayne Ray eats and the size of the food so that he does not choke. Lou Ann reads various books, newspapers, and magazines about accidents and happenings to children and uses her knowledge to avoid having those scenarios happen to Dwayne Ray. • 8. Comparing Rheya And The Ocean In Hawkins s essay, she writes about how Kelvin planned to establish a link between the most powerful emotions despair, grief and pleasure and the electrical discharges from the ocean (Hawkins). The ocean s electrical discharges are similar to the electrical charges from our brains that occur when we feel emotions. The ocean could sense those feelings, specifically, the strongly repressed ones. When an emotion is not released and is contained, it becomes repressed. The ocean made physical recreations of these emotions because it thought that was how it could communicate with the humans. The first time Kelvin meets him, Snow is drunk. This is a sign of repressed emotions. Each time he drinks, it is most likely to provide a brief moment... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He feels guilty because he knows that he is the reason that she killed herself back on Earth. The guilt he felt was always there, it was just repressed. Now, Rheya serves as a constant reminder of what he did. Unlike the original Rheya, this Rheya is unbelievably strong and intolerably dependent. Rheya is a metaphor for guilt. She represents how strongly it can affect someone and how it is continually there. He tries to send her away, but one can never really get rid of their guilt. Launching Rheya into space is only an inconvenience that delays her for a short time. He thinks he might love Rheya and promises to go back to Earth with her. However, this proclamation of love is just another repressed emotion. When you are suffering from repressed emotions, your actions are based off of your reactions to the past as well as the present. He remembers how he loved Rheya and he thinks that he can love this Rheya the same way. However, he cannot love this Rheya because he does not understand her. Rheya does not understand herself either. She cannot comprehend who or what she is, because she is a creation of the ocean. The ocean did not realize the affect emotions have and how Rheya s love for Kelvin would drive her to suicide. She signs her suicide note as Rheya, but then she crosses it out. This is because the identity she has been given is Rheya, but she is only a copy. She is not the original, the real Rheya. Her
  • 9. Humans have Engangered the Columbia River Limpet The Columbia River Limpet, otherwise known as the Short faced Lanx, is endangered due to human causes. This species is endangered due to population fragmentation and isolation, dam building, and many other human causes. In addition, habitat loss is one of the biggest problems because this organism has such specific habitat requirements. This species lives in a freshwater ecosystem and now, large populations can only be found in 4 streams. On the other hand, these human induced problems can be remedied with a few restrictions, support, and a little effort. The scientific name of this organism is Fisherola Nuttalli. The Columbia River Limpet is a small lunged (pulmonate) snail. According to an article by Celeste Mazzacano at the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation (http:/ /www.xerces.org/giant columbia river limpet/), It has a limpet like appearance, with an uncoiled conical shell that has a wide base and a smooth, eccentric (off center) apex. The shells may reach up to 8 mm long, 6.25 mm wide, and 3 mm high; they are rich brown in color and appear striped due to fine concentric growth rings (Neitzel Frest 1992). This organism is known as an invertebrate due to the lack of a backbone. Invertebrates lack a vertebral column, which is made up of bones called vertebrae. The scientific name for animals lacking a backbone is Invertebrata. On the other hand, animals with a backbone are known as vertebrates, the scientific name being Vertebrata. There are over 1

Egyptians were often married off around the age of 16 while the Incans waited until the approximate age of 30. The Incans waited longer because of the cultural steps that were taken to become an adult. Each sex had their own paths that were taken as they grew up; four in all for each sex. The final path for each sex was at the age of 30, when a man became a warrior and a woman had become marrying age. This was much the same for the Egyptians just at a faster pace, probably due to the high mortality rate of children. Young girls would help their mothers with household chores or out in the fields and young boys were expected to follow in their fathers

This of course brings different places together to add to the legibility of the scene and thus its overall realism. Thurber had a troublesome marriage with Althea; Walter is constantly being controlled by Mrs. Mitty. Because of Mrs. Mitty s nagging and imposing influence seen in paragraphs 3 and 4, Walter is triggered into a daydream. As a world famous surgeon, he not only is in control of his life, but the life of his patient. Mitty cleverly adapts to emergencies like using a fountain pen to fix the needed surgical machinery (The). Every time he escapes, it is because of a trigger, often through an authority figure imposing on him. In fact, it is the clear distinction between fantasy and reality that makes escaping a theme. The heavy juxtaposition between diction of the dream world and real life is evident. For example, in the second daydream as a surgeon, Dr. Mitty snapped at fellow doctors and nurses to give him a fountain pen and uses fake yet complicated sounding medical terms such as Obstreosis of the ductal tract (The). However, in the subsequent paragraph as Walter clumsily almost hits another car in the parking lot in reality, he only muttered in response to the valet, unable to give a definitive reply. The dramatic juxtaposition between Mitty s spectacular fantasies and mundane reality drives the story. Thurber highlights Mitty s desperateness for action through the drastic differences in scenes. Also, Thurber distinguishes daydreams by incorporating much more imperative voice and literary devices compared to straight dialogue in the reality. Thurber literally makes the fantasies more alive and interesting than boring reality. Onomatopoeia is seen in 3 of the 5 daydreams, ta pocketa pocketa... in paragraph 1 for the hydroplane and the same sound for the surgical machine (The). Rat tat tatting in paragraph 14 reflects the machine gun sounds Captain Mitty heard during war. By using onomatopoeia,

Although tensions were high between the Hutus and the Tutsis long before the genocide began, the assassination of Rwanda s second president, President Habyariama, created even more hostility between the two ethnic groups. Extreme Hutu nationalists accused a Tutsi organization called the Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF), and many Tutsis blamed Hutus. Because of this disagreement, extremist Hutu groups such as the Hutu militia and the Rwandan Armed Forces (FAR) were encouraged by radical radio stations to use brutality and force to seek revenge for the death of the Hutu president. Conversely, Martin Luther, a German professor of theology, influenced reformation to the German state. This reformation focused on the peasants, especially the peasant revolt of 1524. As the revolution continued, the Peasant Parliament formed to coordinate activates and strive for optimistic results of the revolt. Lorenz Fries stresses this anger in his report to the Archbishop of Wurzburg, as he describes the wealth s inability to share their profits and income with the poor (Doc 8). The peasants believe they are entitled to a share of wealth because all are considered to be brothers in the public eye of God. Considering Fries s report is secret, it most likely states his candid opinions (Pov3). Although economic oppression is a crucial factor in pushing the revolt, Protestant influence is responsible for the revolt as well. Protestant ideals also contributed a major role in causing the peasants revolts. Leonhard von Eck, the Chancellor Bavaria, understood the key function of Protestant ideas when he reported to Duke Ludwig of Bavaria that this rebellion has been undertaken to repress the princes and the nobility and has its ultimate source in Lutheran teaching for the peasants relate a majority of their demands to the Word of God, the Gospel, and brotherly love. • 46. Review Of The Ministry Of Music On The Black Church Introduction and Thesis Music is an inseparable element of Black life and therefore Black worship. The Black Church understands worship to be a communal act of adoration towards God that may involve praise or petition via song, dance, music (use of instruments), recitation, meditation, chanting, and or prayer (Mason, 2016). According to James Cone, Black music is unity music because it unites...the hope and despair;...and it moves the people towards the direction of total liberation; and confronts the individual with the truth of black existence and affirms that black being is possible only in the communal context (p. 5). It is with this understanding that black people worship through music and without this understanding worship and music are diluted. J. Wendell Mapson articulated this idea in his book, The Ministry of Music in the Black Church, when he noted that purpose of worship is forfeited when singing music that has no relationship to everyday life, and the worshipper becomes disconnected from the way music and worship have historically served blacks (41). In this same vain, James Cone asserted that Black music is theological because it reveals how God moves people towards unity and self determination. Such unity and self determination was evidenced in 1801, when Richard Allen, founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church published a hymnal by and for African Americans (Costen, 81). Hymns have served black people in their everyday lives and had and have

The short story All summer is a day , by Ray Bradbury, takes place in the underground city of the planet Venus where tunnels roamed instead of streets. The land above them was submerged with endless pouring rain and deadly jungles. The sight of the sunwas a rare miracle that only happened once every seven years. The children spent all their life in the enclosed underground tunnels, well all except for one. Margot was the only child who came to Venus when she was four, and the biggest difference was that she still remembered the times when the glowing sun gave warmth and hope. Thesis Statement (1 3 sentences) Her past experiences and opportunities caused the children of Venus to be jealous of her. As a result, the children harassed Margot in disbelief. The gloomy, enclosed environment affects everyone greatly. The message of the story shows how the environment and the people around you can affect you because of their own lack of experiences. The author portrays this when the children harass the main character, he also uses craft moves to show isolation of the main character, and how depressed she is as a result. To begin, the author shows that the harassment Margot goes through is due to the children lack of knowledge about the sun since they have spent their whole life on Venus. Throughout the day, Margot brings back memories of the sun.

Also, they explain how cultural variances affect how different humans learn different sorts of bodily functions and develop habits based upon their environment and nurturing. The topic of learned actions carries significant weight when it is applied to the studying of feral children, or children raised in nature either alone or by some other species of animal. If one observes a feral child s behaviors, they are, as expected, very different compared to those of average, civilized humanbeings. Therefore, one can make the argument that through the observation and conditioning of feral children such as Victor from Candland s piece,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Similarly, if they ever began to act as normal human children, learning how to do so from other humans would also be required. In Candland s piece on specific examples of feral children, he also points towards the importance of understanding that the minds of these children do not inherently differ from those of civilized human children, stating These children...remind us that it is we human beings who ask the questions of one another. The nature of these questions reveals much about the ways in which our own minds work. (Candland 71). Perhaps, one way to understand the parallels between feral children and civilized children involves imagining oneself as a baby learning to walk, talk, open doors, eat properly, etc. These specific bodily functions and the way in which they are learned and turn into habits serve as the foundation for Mauss s incredible work , and he likely also believed that observers can learn a great deal from studying the condition and development of feral

Antibiotics And Antimicrobial Resistance In this paper, I address some major ethical issues associated with the ineffective use of Antibiotics which contributes to Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), as Antimicrobial resistance is a direct consequence of not considering several bioethical factors associated with proper use of antibiotics since its advent. The Antimicrobial resistance is a result of ceaseless selection pressure over bacterial population during several generations from human application of antibiotics through overuse, underuse and misuse. In the first section, I have discussed why AMR currently has become one of the major public health concerns and the impacts of the AMR on global public health should not merely be viewed as a technical or medical problem but as a distinct
  • 52. The Plo As The Palestinian Sovereign The Legitimacy of the PLO as the Palestinian Sovereign Full Name Name of University Recitation Section TA Name Palestine has a right, under international and natural law, to self determination under the borders which existed prior to Israel s formation in 1948. The natural governing authority of the new Palestinian State to be formed within these borders is the Palestinian Authority (PLO) currently led by Mahmoud Abbas. Given that land was stolen from Palestinian natural sovereignty via actions taken by Israel in wars which Palestine proper was not a participant to, Israel must also pay reparations to the Palestinian State as well as its citizens so as to compensate for the crimes against humanity which it has committed over the course of the last several decades. Cemented by the renunciation of violence which the PLO has undertaken, Palestinians can no longer be held accountable for the actions of Hamas and other terrorist groups, and an independent Palestinian state commits to joining the War on Terror righteously fought by Israel and its allies. The Minimal Acceptable Borders of a Palestinian State Beginning with the minimal acceptable borders of a Palestinian State, these must be congruent with the original United Nations Settlement plan put forth by the UN prior to Israeli conquest in 1949 With Rowntree et al. (2014) noting that the original 1948 borders of Israel were already in violation of the proposed United Nations Settlement, Israel s borders are
  • 53. The Trial And Death Of Socrates Philosophical attitudes, as Arthur E. Murphy explains, are attitudes where ones should not cease to stop pursuing the truth, which they should wonder about things around them, understand the meaning behind of that existence, perceive the ideas from different perspective, and knows one self s knowledge. He also points out that the one with philosophy attitudes should be open minded and responsible. However, we need a certain example to prove whether this explanation is right or not. For that, in this essay, we will use Platos The Trial and Death of Socrates, as our example of how this kind of attitudes play in Socrates life as it is well known as intelligently and morally lived one. In Euthyphro section, Socrates meets a man named Euthyphro before his trial, where he is being accused by Meletus for corrupting the youth. While Euthyphro is here to prosecute his own father for the case of murder. Socrates starts to ask him about his meaning of piety. It is not being seen because it is a thing seen but on the contrary, it is a thing seen because it is being seen; nor is it because it is something led that it is being led but because it is being led that it is something led; not is something being carried because it is something carried, but it is something carried because it is being carried. What Socrates means from this is that what people might believe is the truth might not be the truth, just because people believe it to be the truth. People tend to follow the
  • 54. The Business Process Outsourcing ( Bpo ) Introduction The Philippines is one of the developing countries presently. It is poised to become an industrialized country within 5 10 years. The main economic drivers are the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who usually remit on average $25 Billion a year (www.bsp.gov.ph/Statistics/keystat/ofw.htm). Next to this are the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) which is popularly known as call center business which churns about $18 Billion a year (www.asiabriefing.com/news/2015 /02/oursourcing bpo). You could see skyscrapers in major metropolitan areas sprouting unceasingly signalling that the economy is robust and poised to take off. Or is it really? This paper will attempt to analyze the travails and missteps of this beautiful country endowed with rich natural resources with 7,107 islands called an archipelago with seas and oceans surrounding these islands. The naturally hospitable, friendly and smiley people lends a strong backdrop to this country with about 107 million population (http://itsmorefuninthephilippines.com/). It has a good English speaking population which is why the biggest bank of the US, JP Morgan Chase has call centers and direct hired telephone bankers, officers, and specialists, celebrating its 10th year of presence in the Philippines. Wells Fargo, the no. 4 bank also has extensive call centers and back office support in the Philippines. These foreign parties driven businesses coming from the OFWs and BPOs are the main drivers of the economy.
  • 55. Fallot Colostomy The most common comorbid cardiac malformation is a ventricular septal defect (VSD). or tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and others are isolated defects. In Case of VSD the patency of the ductus arteriosus can be maintained by the use of prostaglandin while the colostomy is established. Also the patent foramen ovale may need to be enlarged by the balloon technique in the case of inadequate atrial mixing. This is the only case where the cardiac lesion will have to be repaired before the ARM. When EA/TEF is present also then many factors are involved in the treatment. Such as the ligation or division of the distal TEF along with a colostomy. If the child has TOF the descending aorta may be on the right side, making the definitive repair of the EA/TEF easier from the left thoracic approach. A systemic to pulmonary shunt may be required Only in the presence of a cyanotic cardiac lesion... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are usually hemivertebrae present that will tilt the pelvis to a varying degree and when severe then it may result in severe deformity of the lower body. The absence of several pelvic vertebrae is more often associated with urinary incontinence than with bowel incontinence. At times the spinal malformation may be very severe with lack of development of the sacrum and sacral nerve plexus, a condition known as caudal regression or caudal dysgenesis sequence. In these instances, the baby s buttocks are flat and the gluteal crease is barely discernable. The clinical import of this condition is that the pelvic musculature and innervation are impossible to utilize. The establishment of an anal opening on the perineum will result in a perineal colostomy with little or no bowel control and no possibility of maintaining a colostomy bag seal. In these cases, establishment of a permanent colostomy is required following separation of the distal bowel from the urogenital
